Drudge: Pick Condi!

Ebony and Whitey!

Condoleezza Rice, former U.S. Secretary of State under George W. Bush, is floated around once again as the potential vice presidential choice for Republican perennial candidate Mitt Romney.

The conservative media is buzzing about the frontrunner status. People are starting to take notice to Condi and the potential impact it may have on the 2012 U.S. Presidential Election.

Condoleezza Rice served as National Security Adviser (2001 - 2005) and U.S. Secretary of State (2005 - 2009) under George W. Bush, the 43rd President of The United States.

Rice stated that she had no intention on being any running mate to the potential Republican nominee. Could she have changed her mind?

Drudge agitating the thought of a Romney-Rice ticket

The Drudge Report has the headline buzzing on the website as of today and it's getting mainstream buzz.

People already think that it's a potential ploy for the Black vote or woman vote if Romney should pick Rice as his running mate.

Mitt Romney has been tight lipped about who he is planning on picking as his running mate.

Known players include

  • Senator Marco Rubio (R-Florida)
  • Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin)
  • Governor Chris Christie (R-New Jersey)
  • Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio)
  • Pennsylvania former senator Rick Santorum
  • Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-New Hampshire)
  • Governor Bobby Jindal (R-Louisiana)
  • Minnesota former governor Tim Pawlenty
  • Governor Susana Martinez (R-New Mexico)

ROMNEY NARROWS VP CHOICES; CONDI EMERGES AS FRONTRUNNER
Thu Jul 12 2012 19:30:01 ET

**Exclusive**

Late Thursday evening, Mitt Romney's presidential campaign launched a new fundraising drive, 'Meet The VP' -- just as Romney himself has narrowed the field of candidates to a handful, sources reveal.

And a surprise name is now near the top of the list: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!

The timing of the announcement is now set for 'coming weeks'.

MORE

It was Condi who received two standing ovations at Romney's Utah retreat a few weeks ago, and everyone left with her name on their lips.

Rice made an extended argument for American leadership in the world.

In recent days, she emailed supporters:

"2012 is perhaps a turning point for the United States."

"The upcoming elections loom as one of the most important in my lifetime," she warned. "I'm very often asked to speak about our current foreign policy and the challenges that lie before us. However, we, as a country, are not going to be able to address any of those international challenges unless we first get our domestic house in order."

Another Dumb Conservative Threatens Michelle Obama! Did I Tell You It's A Cop?

Okay, okay!

Now it's more likely that President Barack Obama is going to win reelection. Conservatives are so worked up about the very fact he's in the White House, they'll rile up the disturbed individuals to make dangerous threats to the president and his family.

Certainly independents are looking at this. I hope they finally wake up and see the Republican Party for what it is! A bunch of old White bigots who hold extremist views towards race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, political and economic standings. They masquerade bigotry of others in the form of patriotism.

They show no mercy towards President Barack Obama and his wife First Lady Michelle Obama.

According to the Huffington Post, a DC Metro officer has been relieved of his duty after he made a comment  that may get the U.S. Secret Service involved. It involves the killing of First Lady Obama.

I don't know what this person was thinking, but surely he's not clearly in the right mind when he's a member of law enforcement. The police officer has been taken off a motorcycle escort for White House officials after he allegedly said he'd shoot first lady Michelle Obama and "then used his phone to retrieve a picture of the firearm he said he would use," according to The Washington Post.

The Metropolitan Police Deparment is investigating and the Secret Service has been told of the alleged threat, the Post reports:

The motorman allegedly made the comments Wednesday morning as several officers from the Special Operations Division discussed threats against President Obama. It was not immediately clear where the alleged conversation took place or exactly how many officers took part in the conversation.
During that conversation, the officials said, the officer allegedly said he would shoot the First Lady and then used his phone to retrieve a picture of the firearm he said he would use. It was not immediately clear what type of firearm was allegedly shown.
An officer overheard the alleged threat and reported it to a police lieutenant at the Division, who immediately notified superiors, the officials said.

The officer has been moved to administrative duty as the incident is being investigated, according to the Post.

Seriously, this is what we're dealing with! A person who clearly has no respect for the Office of the President of The United States. A person who listens to the angry voices of talk radio, Fox News and other outlets that promote the conservative agenda. Rather call it conservative, it's extremist.

Repealooza!

The 33rd Repeal Of The Affordable Healthcare Reform Act.

It cost the taxpayers millions when the Congress is wasting time on symbolic votes. President Barack Obama is going to take on not only Mitt Romney, the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party, but Congress as well.

Never in my day has Congress been so bad. The Republicans took control of the U.S. House of Representatives in January 2011, on the whim of the U.S. Midterms. They had the wind in their sails when the conservative Tea Party Movement came forth. In 2009, a few months after the president signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (the Stimulus), the Tea Party was born. The Tea Party opposed the president's involvement in the rescue of the automotive and banking industry. The Tea Party opposed the health care reform law that was signed by the president in 2010.

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Virginia) speaks.

Republicans ran on the slow economy. As the economy was picking up, the Republicans were screaming that the president and Democratic leaders weren't doing enough. Congressman John Boehner (R-Ohio) chanted "Where's the jobs?" The Minority Leader at the time, Boehner and Congressman Eric Cantor (R-Virginia) were masterminding a message to the voters. The Republicans vowed that they'll get their act together. They vowed that if you elect the Republicans, they'll promise to bring back jobs and fiscal restraint.

That message proved to be fruitful for the Republicans. The Republican Party won back the House of Representatives and a majority of state/territorial governorships.

When unemployment was at its highest 10.9%, the Republicans had managed to win the message war. They claimed that "the Stimulus" failed, health care is a government takeover (later a huge tax burden), and Barack Obama was coming for the guns. It riled up White voters and it wiped out the Democratic supermajority in the U.S. Senate and gave the Democrats unease.

The House Democrats are now in the minority. They've been waiting for a way to win the message war! I think its coming in the form of CBS reporter Nancy Cordes.

Cordes reports that Congress is holding their 33rd attempt at repealing the Affordable Healthcare Reform Act (Obamacare). She also reports that Congress will have only 42 days left in their agenda schedule and many other important issues are coming up to vote.

Congress must fund the government. They must compromise on passing tax breaks for small businesses and the middle class. The Republicans will in the beginning say they'll refuse to compromise on anything the president does! But when pressure and of course negative publicity comes forth, the Republicans will take this fight all the way to the end!

Nancy Cordes reports that CBS News had a tally that found the Republican repeal effort has taken up at least 80 hours on the House floor, or two full work weeks, since 2010.

"Obamacare is a massive tax hike on the middle class," said Texas Republican Lamar Smith.

But Wednesday's measure will suffer the same fate as the other full repeal efforts, which sailed through the Republican-controlled House but died, predictably, in the Democrat-controlled Senate
."I say shame," said John Dingell, a Democratic congressman from Michigan. "You're wasting the time of the American people. You're wasting the time of Congress."

And time is precious on Capitol Hill, where House leaders have scheduled only 42 more working days between now and the end of the year when critical deadlines loom. The Bush-era tax cuts are set to expire then for everyone, and steep across-the-board spending cuts will kick in.

There's been little attempt to seek common ground on those issues or on funding the government, which must be done by October, or on tackling the nation's 8.2 percent unemployment rate.

Virginia's Eric Cantor, the second highest ranking House Republican, spearheaded today's repeal measure.

When asked why they keep holding these debates and repeal votes, Cantor said Republicans "want to try and get it right."

"Again the American people have rejected Obamacare," Cantor said. "You know they don't want Washington telling them what kind of health care they should have."

Is the GOP proposing something else? "Absolutely," Cantor said. "All along the process during which Obamacare was being discussed here in Capitol Hill we posited an alternative."

Republicans did release a short outline of their health care priorities in 2009, but they haven't released any formal replacement for the president's health care law and have no immediate plans to do so. One of their main goals with all these votes is to tie vulnerable Democrats to an unpopular law in an election year.

Politics as usual!

Mitt Romney: [White Men] Can't Jump!

Going into the lion's den with a piece of steak! Mitt Romney goes to the NAACP Convention.

Okay, the conservatives are bashing the Republican nominee Mitt Romney for putting his feet in the fire! That fire being the NAACP National Convention where he, Vice President Joe Biden and Attorney General Eric Holder are the keynote speakers at the civil rights organization event.

The conservatives are riled up that President Barack Obama chose not to attend the event. Now if he did, what would the conservatives say?

The same old stuff! Why on earth are "the Blacks" voting for President Barack Obama?

In the opinion of the White conservative male, "the Blacks" are so fixated on keeping their "brotha" in the White House, they can't see that he's destroying the country from within. "The Blacks" fail to realize that their "brotha" Barack Obama isn't concerned about their issues. Unemployment is high with "the Blacks" and yet they'll vote overwhelmingly for him over a business executive such as Mitt Romney.

Romney wants to help "the Blacks" off the Democrat plantation. He wants to get "the Blacks" off of food stamps and welfare. This is a thing that his former opponents Rick Santorum and Ron Paul wanted to transition them out of!

Mitt Romney is welcomed to the NAACP event, but it was tepid at best. He was booed by the crowd after he made his passionate speech to repealing American Healthcare Reform (Obamacare). Between the generic phrases and promises, Romney was at least gracious to attend a highly partisan event.

I wonder if President Barack Obama ever got the nerve to show up at a CPAC or NRA event?

The talk of the nation is the presumptive nominee attending the NAACP and the reaction he's gotten.

President Barack Obama gotten over 90% of the Black vote. The Republicans hate this! Hate this very much!

You can read it in the comments section. Listen to it on talk radio. Watch it on cable news channels, particularly on Fox News or CNN.
NAACP considered a nemesis to conservatives. Matt Drudge, the controversial conservative agitator will rile up conservatives with the notion that the NAACP apparently hostile towards Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

Conservatives found an enemy in the NAACP. Last year, conservative agitator Andrew Breitbart tried to smear the organization and its speaker Shirley Sherrod, then USDA worker who spoke about her struggles in the South and how she overcame her fears of White people to become a voice of all. Breitbart took clips of the video and spin it into a controversy. The video was edited to make the NAACP and Sherrod seem like they're favoring racism against White people. The White House got involved and ordered the termination of Sherrod. The White House feared Glenn Beck, then a Fox News host was going to air the program.

Since then, the NAACP has worried about the potential of their organization being ruined by the likes Beck and Breitbart. Andrew Breitbart died in 2012. He left behind a legacy of smears and distortions in the name of conservatism.

Conservative agitator Rush Limbaugh was rumbling about how the NAACP booed Romney and claimed it was "racist".

Rob Redding, the founder of news agitating website Redding News Service is a vocal critic of both President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. He was on radio recently stating displeasure of the Republican nominee's attempt to reach out to the Black community with generic statements. Redding was also upset over the president's apparent political expediency towards core groups that aren't in toe with the Black community.

Redding isn't the only one critical of the president and Romney.

Ben Jealous, the president of NAACP has been concerned about the issues facing people of color as well.

But the real issue is why? Why would Mitt Romney go an event in which he would yield little to no support?

Some conservative even question the judgement as a bad decision.

The Republicans would rather have Romney focus on issues such as his shaky record. Abortion, illegal immigration, same sex marriage, religious expression, and of course the economy.

Here's a little gem that the Huffington Post is reporting on. After the NAACP speech, Mitt Romney was interviewed by the press and he used a political dog whistle in his statement.

By the way, I had the privilege of speaking today at the NAACP convention in Houston and I gave them the same speech I am giving you. I don't give different speeches to different audiences alright. I gave them the same speech. When I mentioned I am going to get rid of Obamacare they weren't happy, I didn't get the same response. That's ok, I want people to know what I stand for and if I don't stand for what they want, go vote for someone else, that's just fine. But I hope people understand this, your friends who like Obamacare, you remind them of this, if they want more stuff from government tell them to go vote for the other guy-more free stuff. But don't forget nothing is really free.

GOP School Board Members Want To Deny Michelle Obama A Visit!

Republicans trying to have a political event that features First Lady Michelle Obama canceled.
Who are these people trying to fool?

These people in the Republican Party have no respect for the office of the president. No matter how many times a person tells them that the president and First Lady Michelle Obama aren't terrorists, those in the political right will not believe you! They will agitate a confrontational debate over how we're the ones misinformed by all the things you get from the mainstream media.

The New York Daily News and other outlets are reporting that a Miami-based school is going to hold a campaign event where First Lady Obama is planning on attending. Two members of the school board are not happy about this arrival. Of course these two Republican members think that it's against school policy to have the president or first lady attend this school.

Michelle Obama unwelcome at Miami school, say GOP board members

Some Republican members of the Miami-Dade school board in Florida are none too pleased that First Lady Michelle Obama is holding a campaign event at an empty-for-summer local high school.

By / NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

Some Republican members of the Miami-Dade school board in Florida are none too pleased that First Lady Michelle Obama is holding a campaign event at a local high school Tuesday.

Obama is scheduled to help recruit campaign volunteers at an event at Miami Lakes’ Barbara Goleman Senior High, which is empty of students for the summer vacation.

Board member Renier Diaz de la Portilla – who happens to be a Republican candidate for the Florida State House – has called for the event to be canceled, The Miami Herald reported.

Another board member, Carlos Curbelo, sent a letter to the school board’s attorney saying it is “inappropriate” and “sends the wrong message” for the Obama campaign hold a political event at the school.

Curbelo has worked as a Republican strategist, the newspaper noted.

The use of public schools whose only focus should be to educate our children for political gain is downright wrong,” Diaz de la Portilla said in a statement provided to the Herald. “Don’t these liberals have boundaries? Our schools are places for learning, not places for politicking.”

School board attorney Walter Harvey says the Obama campaign is simply renting the building.

Under Miami-Dade school board policy, any group can apply to lease facilities from the county’s public schools, Harvey told the Herald. He added that the district cannot discriminate against political groups.

Both presidential campaigns frequently use public schools for campaign events. Republican candidate Mitt Romney is holding a town hall meeting Tuesday at Central High School in Grand Junction, Colo.

Students at Barbara Goleman Senior High are on summer break and its employees cannot attend the event if they are working. The $2,351 cost of hosting the event will be paid by the campaign, not the district, the Herald reported.

Could Your Teen Be In Trouble?

A young teenager was gunned down after a botched robbery. Police claim that she and her two friends were planning to rob a few neighbors. The young woman leaves a trail of unanswered questions to why she was involved in this?

There a few stories buzzing around the internet. One comes from my community in which a young girl was apparently enticed by two men (of course Black) in my community. Then the Daily Mail reports of a 17-year old girl being gunned down after a robbery that she is accused of masterminding went totally wrong.

Is there something going on that a parent can't solve? Last month we seen teens taunt an elderly bus monitor. The shooting of Trayvon Martin, an teenager who was minding his business when a young man named George Zimmerman got into a confrontation with him and it turned deadly.

These latest incidents are giving people something to talk about. We at Journal de la Reyna will share these stories with the good readers here.

Pictured with wads of cashed stuffed in her pants: The 'aspiring actress-turned-thief who died in crossfire while burglarizing a house'

A photo posted by one of slain student-turned-alleged robber Claudia Hidic shows a different side to the 17-year-old who was shot in the head during an attempted home burglary.

While her parents and relatives maintain that Claudia was a sweet aspiring actress, one of her friends posted a photo to a Facebook memorial page showing her flashing a rude gesture while wads of dollar bills are shown stuffed down her gym shorts and bra.

Curtis Fortenberry and Terrance Crumley, both 21-years-old, now face felony murder charges over the fatal incident.

Inspiring actress or would be criminal? The Fort Worth Police paint 17-year old Claudia Hidic as the chief mastermind in a robbery scheme that ended up costing her life.

According to the Star-Telegram, Hidic reportedly directed the two men to various homes where they could find expensive items to steal.

At the home where she met her death, there were thought to be five or six people inside the duplex at the time that Hidic and her two co-conspirators entered.

Either Fortenberry or Crumley had a gun on them, and once they entered the apartment, shots were exchanged with people inside the home, and Hidic is thought to have been hit in the crossfire.

The would-be robbery occurred on June 28, but it wasn't until this weekend that the suspects were confirmed by police.

Crumley turned himself in on Saturday and Fortenberry was already in custody because he was arrested for unrelated theft charges on Tuesday.

Both men have prior records: Fortenberry's recent arrest was for burglary, theft, and assault with bodily injury involving a family member.

Accomplices: Terrence Crumley, left, turned himself in to police on Saturday while Curtis Fortenberry, right, was already in jail on other theft charges that took place after Hidic's shootingAccomplices: Terrence Crumley, left, turned himself in to police on Saturday while Curtis Fortenberry, right, was already in jail on other theft charges that took place after Hidic's shooting
According to The Daily Mail, UK, Terrence Crumley, left, turned himself in to police on Saturday while Curtis Fortenberry, right, was already in jail on other theft charges that took place after Hidic's shooting.

At the time of Hidic's death, Crumley was on probation because of a theft charge dating back to April. A drug charge was dismissed at the same sentencing.

Hidic, a German national from Bosnia, lived in the area of Fort Worth, Texas with her sister. She studied at Trinity High School in Euless and worked at the Los Jimadores Tex-Mex Tequila Factory in Bedford, Fox 4 reported.

The man who discovered her dead body reportedly stopped talking to investigators, according to the Star-Telegram

But police spokeswoman Sharron Neal told the newspaper that he is not a 'person of interest' or a suspect.

Investigators combed through the man's residence for two days but did not reveal what they had collected as evidence.

'We're still interviewing witnesses, family and friends,' Neal said. 'We have spent many hours there trying to find out what happened. It's just taking some time to process all the evidence we have.'

Miss Hidic's distressed family said they had no idea what happened to the teenager, described by her sister Samira as ‘big-hearted and beautiful’.

Former foster parents Jim and Sue Scionka told the local TV station that she dreamed of going to college and becoming an actress. They asked that anyone with information come forward.

‘If your heart is touching you,’ said Mr Scionka, ‘if you know anything about this situation I pray (you) would contact the authorities.’

A neighbor said he heard a loud bang at around the time of the shooting, which he described as being like something backfiring.

‘I don’t instantly think about a gunshot when I hear a bang like that,’ he said. ‘Not in this neighbourhood.’
Grieving friends started a Facebook page, dedicated to Hidic.

On it was posted: ‘Claudia was truly an amazing person she will forever and always have a piece of my heart.

‘She has touched so many lives and she never stopped loving and forgiving others.’

As police investigate, neighbours said an unidentified man and woman were seen going in and out of the property during the day before Hidic's death.

It is not yet known whether anything had been taken from the home.

Police: Girl, 11, made up enticement story

RIVERSIDE, Ohio —

Police said Tuesday that an 11-year-old girl who claimed two men tried to lure her into a vehicle made the story up.

Officers said the girl reported that two men in a dark green SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee, tried to lure her into their vehicle while she played at a neighborhood playground over the weekend.

The girl told officers that the men tried to entice her by saying they had something for her.  The child said she ran home and notified police.

Deputy Chief Michael Brown earlier said the girl seemed very believable.
