The death of cinematographer and director Halyna Hutchins has become a national debate on firearms on the set of movies. The movie industry is debating whether the use of prop guns will be allowed after the fatal tragedy. 

Alec Baldwin was in Santa Fe, New Mexico filming his Netflix movie Rust when he fired a prop gun killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza. The incident has the Santa Fe County Sheriff, the New Mexico Department of Safety and FBI investigating.

The movie production was halted indefinitely after the shooting. Baldwin has reached out to the family of Halyna and has offered apologies to his fans.

Baldwin fired the gun striking Halyna in the chest and Joel in the arm. Joel survived the injuries. 

The veteran actor was on the phone with Hilaria and his management team in a state of shock.

He also reached out to her husband, Matthew. She leaves behind one son.

She was an Ukrainian-American cinematographer and journalist credited with works on 30 films, short films and television miniseries.

The far-right has also been on this controversy as well. Baldwin who portrayed Washed Up 45 on SNL and is a strong critic of Republicans has become a target of conservatives and that annoying agitator "Softball" Hannity.

The far-right has been trolling Baldwin and calling for his arrest.

The feds are zeroing in on assistant director Dave Halls and armorer Hannah Gutierrez Reed. 

Halls was the director who handed Baldwin a "cold gun" and Gutierrez Reed was the woman responsible for maintain the prop weapons and checking for defects. 

The Bonanza Creek Ranch where the movie was being filmed is closed indefinitely until an investigation is concluded.

Before the tragic shooting, union paid workers complained about the safety conditions. They are accusing the production team of being reckless in handling.

IATSE members were close to striking due to work conditions. They used scabs when some of the workers left the set. There was no union prop master and there were no safety officials at the scene to inspect the weapons.

Alec Baldwin is known for his hot-head temper towards paparazzi and far-right agitators like Softball Hannity. He is a veteran actor, director, producer, game show, radio and talk show host.

Inside the church on the ranch, Baldwin was in the camera reenacting a fight and shooting scene when the actor fired his prop which had a "live round." Halyna and Joel were on a camera dolly when the prop was fired.

Halls is facing controversy. There are allegations that Halls faced complaints about his behavior. He was criticized for safety protocols and inappropriate sexual behavior.

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM), Sen. Ben Ray Lujan (D-NM), Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM), Rep. Yvette Harrell (R-NM) and Rep. Teresa Legar Fernandez (D-MN) were notified of the shooting and they offered the usual thoughts and prayers and hearts going out to nonsense. 

The NRA has not commented on the shooting. But if it did, it's likely bad faith politics going at Biden, Harris and Baldwin. 

The investigation continues. There could be criminal charges against the production team and Baldwin if the investigators determine malice was involved.

With the retirement of police chief Richard Biehl, the city of Dayton did a national search for a replacement who will combat the growing issues within the department.

They hired Kamran Afzal as the new city of police chief. 

Afzal who was the police chief for Hopewell, Virginia will move to Dayton in December. 

He has 30 years of experience in law enforcement.

Afzal was born in Karachi, Pakistan.

Afzal was born in Pakistan but grew up in Virginia. He was the police chief of Hopewell.

"My dad was a Naval Officer, so we moved from Karachi to Northern Part of Pakistan and back to Karachi, then another town called Pindi and then finally back to Karachi before we immigrated to the U.S.," Chief Afzal said. "My mom and I came April 20, 1982. I still remember that."

Afzal grew up in Northern Virginia and attended George Mason University with the goal of becoming a banker.

"I instantly knew that this was the right decision for me," he said.

Afzal began his career with the U.S. Capitol Police and then the Arlington Police Department.

He was on the job Tuesday, September 11, 2001, when terrorists flew a hijacked plane into the Pentagon.

"Those are once in a lifetime kind of events that I don't think anybody is ever prepared to deal with but you do," he said about his time at the Pentagon after the attack.

City manager Shelley Dickstein was pleased to find Afzal. She said that he will help build the bridge between Dayton residents and the police force which has nearly 400 active members.

"Over the last six months, this community has engaged in an extensive recruitment process, which provided me with a diverse spectrum of perspectives and invaluable input necessary for me to select the best police chief for our city," Dickstein said. His experience in successfully implementing effective community engagement processes, leading various police operational units in reducing crime, along with his demonstrated commitment to train and develop the next generation of police leaders makes Chief Afzal a great addition to our team. With Deputy Director/Assistant Chief Matt Carper and Assistant Chief Eric Henderson leading besides him, I am confident that Chief Afzal will be successful in advancing the important work of police reform and helping us create stronger relationships with the city of Dayton's police and all members of our community."

Outgoing mayor and Democratic candidate for Ohio governor Nan Whaley said that Afzal will get the ball rolling.

"I am excited to have Chief Afzal lead the Dayton Police Department. An important outcome of our police reform was robust community involvement in the selection of our new chief, and I feel certain that the community's voice was heard. I look forward to seeing Chief Afzal carry out the long-term implementation of our police reform process and build on the work that has already been done."

The city had paid for body cameras to assist the Dayton Police.

Last month, the city face controversy when two officers pulled out a paraplegic man out of his vehicle in the Dayton View neighborhood. Clifford Owensby has filed a federal lawsuit against the city after he was pulled and detained by the police. The police claimed that he was observed leaving a home they were monitoring for drug activity. They pulled him over and asked for his license and registration.

They also asked if they can inspect the vehicle. Owensby declined citing that he didn't consent to searching his vehicle. He asked for their supervisor and that's when they pulled him out of the vehicle and placed him in handcuffs. They had a search dog sniff the vehicle and they determined that he had a large wad of cash but no drugs. 

The city has defended the actions of the officers. Owensby has called for the department to fire the officers.

The rapper has scored the No. 1 single on Billboard's Top 200 singles. His album Montero is scoring towards platinum and he has endorsements that will make him very wealthy.

Boosie been on this anti-gay rapper nonsense and many folks are getting tired of his bullshit.

Rep. Karen Thompson (R-PA) is another breakthrough case of COVID. The lawmaker is hospitalized and is in good spirits. He is lucky that he got vaccinated. Cause we certainly need more of these folks still around denying reality and stalling President Joe Biden's agenda.

Thompson on Friday afternoon began experiencing cold-like symptoms and was promptly tested for COVID-19," reads the statement, which was shared to Twitter. "While he is vaccinated, the test case back positive."

The staff also noted that "out of an abundance of caution," Thompson is receiving treatment at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

"He is in good spirits and further updates will be made available in the coming days," the statement concluded.

If only Americans got vaccinated, we would have been back to normal by July. Alas, they wanna fuck around and now they're going to find out.

Of course, there's folks who are fully vaccinated but end up getting the coronavirus. As with vaccines, nothing is 100%. The vaccines are capable of preventing the coronavirus. At best, it's a 94% prevention rate which means 1 out of 500 could be infected even if they're vaccinated.

President Joe Biden had hopes that Americans would take this shit seriously. Unfortunately, Republicans so fucking eager to return to power will keep Americans fixated on the culture wars. Now vaccinations are part of this culture war.

But those fighting the culture war by not vaccinating, not wearing face mask in public, not following protocols, and deliberately ignoring federal and international rules when traveling are going to be the first casualties of the war. 

With this pandemic mostly affecting states where Republican governors are, we may have to return to wearing facial protection and cutting back services to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.

We came so far only to have a bunch of selfish idiots set it back. Just because they hate President Joe Biden.

The Republicans are so devoted to destroying Biden and the country for what....to regain power.

The coronavirus doesn't care about your age, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, politics, economic or social standings. It doesn't care about your business, your performances, your personal finances and travel. It doesn't care about the funerals, the birthday parties, the weddings, the vacations, the events and your graduations. It doesn't care about anything. It's a living organism that causes mild symptoms that include: fever, sore throats, chills, respiratory issues, loss of taste or smell and other unknown symptoms. If you have a weak immune system or health issues, your risk increases.

Death does happen to at least 40% of those who are affected by COVID-19. 

If you're not vaccinated, your chances of death increases to 48%.

Healthy people can die from this. Take this seriously. You only have one life!

Rappers like Bryson Gray, Loza Alexander and Forgiato Blow have exploited this for their music.

In earlier postings, I've stated that MAGA rap has become a thing here in America. The political rap music scene has been more than Public Enemy, Dead Prez, Lupe Fiasco, The Roots and many others.

The far-right has to have a stake in the music genre as well. 

Bryson Gray who was at the U.S. Capitol during the insurrection is under federal watch. He claims he never went inside the Capitol but he was in the vicinity.

He is upset that YouTube declined on his video because of it being anti-Biden and anti-vaccine.

"What medical misinformation is in the song? Whoa," the insurrectionist asked.

In the music video, the agitator appears in an "Impeach Biden" t-shirt and wearing a MAGA bucket hat while holding an assault rifle. The song features the lyrics, "pandemic ain't real, they just planned it" and "Biden said the jab stop the spread, it was lies."

The agitator is also praising Loza Alexander's Let's Go Brandon single which made it to iTunes' top sellers.

"Why is the most censored rapper in the country someone that doesn't even curse in songs?" the agitator said on Fox. "Why can't you rap about murder, sex, and drugs but when I rap about questioning the government I get banned? Is this still America?"

The DeBarge family grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. They are the definition of R&B and funk.

The R&B group Switch spanned from Grand Rapids to Mansfield, Ohio. The brothers Bobby and Tommy DeBarge formed with Gregory Williams, Akron native Philip Ingram, Eddie Fluellen and Jody Sims of Steubenville, Ohio. They were originally known as White Heat but Barry White decided to drop the group due to financial issues. 

The group reformed as Switch and took off from there.

It was revealed that Tommy DeBarge passed away. 

Tommy DeBarge, best known as a member of the R&B group Switch, has died. He was 64.

DeBarge's sister Etterline "Bunny" DeBarge shared the news on Facebook on Thursday, sharing a video featuring a still image of her brother playing guitar.

"Tommy has gained his wings," she wrote. The singer also shared the post on her professional Facebook page.

A second post soon followed: "Rest peacefully in Heaven, Dearest Thomas DeBarge."

A family member of the musician told TMZ that he suffered from liver and kidney failure over the years and recently declined in health.

The outlet reports that he was hospitalized a few weeks ago and died on Thursday.

DeBarge and his bandmates rose to fame in the 1970s with hits like "There'll Never Be," "I Call Your Name" and "Love Over & Over Again."

The singer and his brother Bobby founded the group, which had impressive influence over R&B acts for years to come, including the group DeBarge, which was made up of the star's family members.

Tommy and Bobby left Switch in order to mentor their family members in DeBarge, which became known for hits like "I Like It," "Time Will Reveal" and "A Dream."

Switch was created in 1976 by Gregory Williams and also included Phillip Ingram, Eddie Fluellen and Jody Sims. They were signed to a subsidiary of the iconic Motown label not long after forming.

Their self-titled debut album, released in 1978, included "There'll Never Be," which hit number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was their only top 40 hit.

The band didn't halt with the DeBarge brothers' exit, but instead added new members and continued to make music. Bobby would died of AIDS-related complications in 1995 at age 39.

Switch is known to have had an effect and influence on music beyond just DeBarge, with their influence being visible in bands like Tony! Toni! Toné! and Mint Condition.

Actor best known for his role in the crossdressing comedy Bosom Buddies passed away. 

Peter Scolari passed away at the age of 66 from a long fight with cancer.

The actor died after the two year battle with the disease. He may best known as Tom Hanks' co-star in the 1980s sitcom in which two men had to dress in drag to live in a building only catered to women.

The two were playing Buffy and Hildegard. 

Scolari was nominated for three supporting actor Emmys as Michael Harris on Newhart opposite the legendary comedian and media personality Bob Newhart.

He was appearing on HBO's Girls as Lena Dunham's father and the supernatural drama Evil which is on CBS and Paramount+.

He also appeared on Ally McBeal, Murphy Brown and From The Earth To The Moon.

He overcame drug and alcohol abuse during his time. He advocated for Americans to seek help when it came to mental illness and drug abuse. He would devote his life to his wife and four children.

Jack Angel voiced the heroic Ultra Magnus and his arch nemesis Cyclonus. 

Entertainer, radio personality and voice actor who had roles on The Transformers, Darkwing Duck and G.I. Joe has passed away on Monday.

Jack Angel died five days before his birthday. He passed away on October 19 and his birthday would have been on October 24th. The entertainer has provided voice-over for animation and video games. Angel voiced characters for Hasbro, Hanna-Barbara, Disney, Dreamworks and Pixar.

He was also a DJ for the radio stations KMPC and KFI.

He first came to voice over roles with the Super Friends. He played voice of Hawkman, The Flash and Super Samurai. He also had made voice roles for Scooby-Doo and The Smurfs.

He is perhaps best known for his roles as The Transformers characters Astrotrain, Smokescreen, Ramjet, Ultra Magnus, Omega Supreme and Cyclonus when Roger Carmel (who voiced him and Motormaster) passed away.

He also played Darkwing Duck's watery villain The Liquidator. 

He has participated in animation as a voice actor until his death. He was married twice. He was married to Barbara in the 1970s but divorced her in 1980. He would end up marrying Arlene Thornton who gave birth to his three children.

He was a native of Los Angeles. He was born in 1930 in Modesto.
