Caroll Spinney Passed Away!

Caroll Spinney passed away.
You grew up knowing how to learn your ABCs and 123s by watching Sesame Street. You knew that hiding behind the alley was a big nest and a big yellow canar they called Big Bird. An iconic fixture of Sesame Street, Big Bird told children how to learn from misunderstandings.

The performer who played Big Bird from 1969 to 2018 passed away.

Carroll Spinney played the 8'2" tall bright yellow canary we came to know as Big Bird. He passed away a few weeks before his 86th birthday.

Born Caroll Edwin Spinney he was an puppeteer, cartoonist, author and speaker best known for playing Big Bird and also Oscar the Grouch, the grumpy neighbor who lived in a nearby trash can.

Sesame Workshop official came out with a statement on his passing.

He had died today in his home in Connecticut after living with Dystonia for some time.

They called him "an artistic genius whose kind and loving view of the world helped shape and define Sesame Street from its earliest days in 1969 through five decades", and his "cultural firmament will be unending."

He voiced and operated the characters of Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch from their inception in 1969 when he was 36, and he performed them almost exclusively into his 80s on the PBS kids’ television show that later moved to HBO.

"Before I came to ‘Sesame Street,’ I didn’t feel like what I was doing was very important," Spinney said when he announced his retirement in 2018. "Big Bird helped me find my purpose.”

"With deepest admiration, Sesame Workshop is proud to carry his memory – and his beloved characters – into the future," the organization said. "Our hearts go out to Caroll’s beloved wife, Debra, and all of his children and grandchildren."

Through his two characters, Spinney gained huge fame that brought international tours, books, record albums, movie roles, and visits to the White House.

"Caroll was an artistic genius whose kind and loving view of the world helped shape and define Sesame Street from its earliest days in 1969 through five decades, and his legacy here at Sesame Workshop and in the cultural firmament will be unending," the Sesame Workshop said.

But he never became a household name.

"I may be the most unknown famous person in America," Spinney said in his 2003 memoir. "It’s the bird that’s famous."

Spinney gave “Sesame Street” its emotional yin and yang, infusing the 8-foot-2 Big Bird with a childlike sweetness often used to handle sad subjects, and giving the trashcan-dwelling Oscar, whose voice Spinney based on a New York cabbie, a street-wise cynicism that masked a tender core.

"I like being miserable. That makes me happy," Oscar often said. "But I don’t like being happy, so that makes me miserable."

To colleagues there was no question which character the kindly Spinney resembled.

"Big Bird is him and he is Big Bird," former “Sesame Street” head writer Norman Stiles said in a 2014 documentary on Spinney.

It wasn’t easy being Big Bird. To play the part, Spinney would strap a TV monitor to his chest as his only eyes to the outside. Then the giant yellow bird body was placed over him. He held his right arm aloft constantly to operate the head, and used his left hand to operate both arms. The bird tended to slouch more as the years took their toll.

In 2015, Spinney switched to just providing the characters’ voices. That year, the longtime PBS show inked a five-year pact with HBO that gave the premium cable channel the right to air new episodes nine months before they air on PBS.

Big Bird’s builder Kermit Love always insisted that his design was a puppet, not a costume. But to many children, he was neither. He was real.

"Eight-year-olds have discovered to their horror that he's a puppet," Spinney told The Associated Press in 1987.

Born in 1933 in Waltham Massachusetts, Spinney had a deeply supportive mother who built him a puppet theater after he bought his first puppet, a monkey, at age 8.

He spent four years in the U.S. Air Force after high school, then returned to Massachusetts and broke into television. He teamed up with fellow puppeteer Judy Valentine for their own daily series, then worked on a Boston version of the clown show “Bozo’s Big Top.” Spinney in this period had three children, Jessica, Melissa and Benjamin, all from his 1960 to 1971 marriage to Janice Spinney. He later married his second wife, Debra, in 1979, and the two were nearly inseparable for the rest of his life.

It was after a disastrous performance at a puppet festival in Utah that Spinney met Muppet master Jim Henson, who came backstage and told him, “I liked what you were trying to do,” Spinney remembered Henson saying, in his memoir.

Spinney would join the Muppet crew when “Sesame Street” was about to turn them from popular phenomenon into an American institution. Henson brought his signature character, Kermit the Frog, to the show. His right-hand man Frank Oz would become famous via Grover and Cookie Monster. Together they created Ernie and Bert.

But Big Bird would become the show’s biggest star, his name and image synonymous with not just Sesame Street but PBS and children’s television. The character was usually used for comedy, but his innocence and questioning was also useful when serious subjects needed addressing. When Sesame Street shopkeeper Mr. Hooper died, Big Bird had to get a lesson in accepting death, saying in the memorable 1983 episode that “he’s gotta come back. Who’s gonna take care of the store? Who’s gonna make my birdseed milkshakes, and tell me stories?”

When Henson died suddenly in 1990 at age 53, leaving the Muppet world devastated, Big Bird played the same part in real life. At the funeral, Spinney appeared alone on stage in full Big Bird costume and sang “It's Not Easy Bein' Green," Kermit’s signature song.

"It was extraordinarily moving," Oz said in the Spinney documentary. "It tore people up."

Spinney said he was crying under the feathers but he got through the song, looking at the sky and saying, “Thank you Kermit,” before walking off.

Sesame Street co-founder Joan Ganz Cooney said Sunday that Spinney, her longtime colleague and friend, “not only gave us Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch, he gave so much of himself as well."

"We at Sesame Workshop mourn his passing and feel an immense gratitude for all he has given to Sesame Street and to children around the world," she said.

Obie Trice Bucked A Man!

Rapper Obie Trice shot a man.
Eminem's former protege is caught up in a gun crime. The rapper who was part of Shady Records from 2001 to 2015 has became a product of his own environment.

Perhaps best known for his platinum album, Cheers, rapper Obie Trice was booked in the Oakland County lockup for attempted murder. The rapper had an altercation with his girlfriend's son.

There was an altercation between the 42-year old rapper and his girlfriend. Her son tried to stop the rapper from hitting his mother.

Trice allegedly went and got a gun. The teen tried to take it from the rapper and the two struggled.

The firearm went off and striking the teen in he groin. The teen was taken to a local hospital and shortly released.

Deputies ordered Trice to drop the firearm. The firearm is unregistered. He was taken into custody and charged with aggravated felony assault.

Trice had previous run-ins with authorities. He was charged with assault and battery in 2002. He was also shoot while driving on a Detroit-area highway in 2005.
Obie Trice and Eminem in 2005.
In Michigan, aggravated felony assault carries at least 10 years in the iron college. The rapper will no longer have contact with the victim and his mother. He will likely be charged with unregistered firearm charges as well.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE THREAT IN THE UNITED STATES.

The American justice system needs to rethink the protection orders. I mean if a victim is to report a potential threat to their lives, they should be taken to another location until the issue is resolved. The suspect should have been stripped of firearms and be placed on monitoring devices if a restraining order was filed. Unfortunately, it won't stop a "mad" man from obtaining firearms from other sources. A friend could loan the firearm. They could have bought it on same day purchase. The shooter could have been a member of law enforcement or a certified NRA trainer. Who knows? The suspect had obviously some way to obtain firearms and our government let this victim down.

Domestic violence is violence or abuse against one another in a domestic setting, such as a marriage or a cohabitation. It may be termed as intimate partner violence when the relationship is the aggressor.

A restraining order is just a piece of paper. It triggers a person to commit violence against the person who got the order. The restraining order is a ticking time bomb for a deranged lover.

The website Officer Down is a memorial to those who were killed in the line of duty. Those who don't get their names mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence.

Mass shootings are happening in the United States. You may think it's never gonna happen to your town, your family or yourself, but I assure you it will affect you at some point.

We are in the midst of possibly the 300+ mass shooting in the United States. Donald J. Trump, Congress, the National Rifle Association and agitators in the junk food media have moved on from dealing with gun violence. They're too busy sniping over the impeachment inquiry and partisan blame games.

Trump and lawmakers elected to federal office made politics extremely toxic.

It's not just the fault of our dear leader and lawmakers, but relentless agitators on the 24/7 cable news channels. They are profiting off division and divisiveness. The internet is also a problem. It's is a breeding ground for potential mass shooters. Facebook, Twitter, Google and other social media outlets have been "ground zero" for disinformation, partisan threats and social activism. Incels and social outcasts find their outlets on sites that inspire them to cause harm to their fellow human beings.

Kellz Got Extra Helpings Of The Federal Sandwich!

The feds are now charging the sexual predator with illegal transfer of a minor when he faked a marriage with Aaliyah.

Apparently it was true that this disgraced entertainer married Aaliyah when she was 15 year old.

The feds said that he bribed a state official to get the marriage license altered to assure she was 18 instead of 15.

That goes into the list of controversy plaguing the former entertainer. The entertainer was 27 years old at the time when he secretly married the late pop singer. He mentored her through the years and helped her release her hit debut album "Age Ain't But a Number."

The U.S. Federal Court Eastern District filed a new stack against the entertainer for illegal transport of a minor. The bribe was to get Aaliyah Dana Haughton a fake ID to make her age valid in the state of Illinois.

Aaliyah's family dissolved the marriage.

The Lifetime series, Surviving R. Kelly has put him in the crosshairs of federal and state authorities.

The bombshell documentary has told tales of young women who were promised a career in the music industry and a chance to be famous. They only ended up catching a sexually transmitted disease, debt and a lifetime of heartache from the entertainer they believe was their savior.
Heaven I am gonna need a hug.
The allegations of the entertainer having Aaliyah banging him while on the tour bus is true as well.

One of his former friends said that she caught him and Aaliyah in the tour bedroom getting it on.

The secret marriage is now a federal indictment against Robert Sylvester Kelly. The former R&B singer and producer is facing a lengthy bid of criminal charges. He got a federal sandwich and charges in four states. The federal charges alone could place this sexual predator in federal time out for LIFE. If convicted in Georgia, Illinois, New York and Minnesota, he could be placed in state custody for 25 years to LIFE.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Aaliyah died in a plane crash in the Bahamas on August 25, 2001. She was only 25 years old. She was finishing her single "Rock The Boat." The pilot was drunk and didn't follow procedures when it came to load.

One Slice For Papa Johns!

Better ingredients couldn't save the relationship.
The hits keep coming for disgraced pizza mogul John Schnatter. The former CEO and founder of Papa Johns is gonna be a single fella. His wife of 32 years has decided to venture into other establishments.

Again, I was a huge fan of Papa Johns. I loved their pizza. However, Schnatter's support for the far-white has ended this love.

Schnatter is a supporter of Donald J. Trump. He supports the flagrant stupidity of a fellow reality television mogul who became our dear leader in 2017.

Schnatter had forced my hand. It wasn't the remarks about the Affordable Care Act. Schnatter said that the ACA would force his pizza prices to increase and put the burden on his franchises.

It wasn't the remarks he made about Colin Kaepernick. He openly criticized the former NFL quarterback after he started kneeling to the national anthem.

It was the fact that Nazis and white extremists proudly call it the pizza of the White race.

Papa Johns became the official pizza company of the alt-white.

A far-white troll from Columbus called his minions to support Papa Johns after the company lost the franchising rights to the NFL. Schnatter famously complained that NFL players kneeling to the national anthem causes his sales of his pizza to decline. Schnatter performed a mock human resource training course where he referred a Black employee as a NIGGER. The remarked doomed him as the CEO and spokesman of the company.

He was fired out the cannon as the CEO but retains a healthy portion of stock in the company.

Now with all the troubles, it seems like his wife M. Annette Cox can't take it no more.

We had a feeling Schnatter had cheated on his wife. I We just didn't have any confirmation. I mean he was allegedly sexually harassing women at the corporate offices in Louisville. It was told that he got seriously wasted at restaurants and start talking like an asshole to servers.

His net worth is estimated at about $500 million after the company's stock declined and he sold off some of his shares, the Louisville Courier-Journal reported.

The couple owns several homes, including a $23 million condo in Deer Valley, UT, an $11 million home in Anchorage (a suburb of Louisville), and a $6 million condo in Naples, FL.

Schnatter founded Papa John's in 1984 and became the face of the brand through a series of TV commercials, often featuring former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning.

The two have two grown children.

Louisville, Jeffersonville, Indiana and New Albany, Indiana has denounced Schnatter and removed his name off of buildings.

The University of Louisville also removed Papa Johns off their football stadium.

Jeff Van Drew Doesn't Play With The Team!

Jeff Van Drew is the reason to why Democrats can never move forward. The conservative lawmaker breaks with Democrats against impeachment of Donald Trump.
Fox News loves hosting rebellious Democrats. They believe that a handful of far-white Democrats speak for the party as a whole. Fox News wants to create the narrative that Democrats are concerned that the party is moving to the left. With lawmakers like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) being demonized by the far-white, it seems like Fox News needs a Democrat to vouch for them.

Not only they got Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) on their primetime line up but they got freshman Democrat, Rep. Jeff Van Drew (D-NJ) on the program giving his thoughts to the impeachment of Donald J. Trump.

The lawmaker has signaled he's not on board with the Articles of Impeachment.

Van Drew who represents the Republican-leaning 2nd Congressional District will see a primary challenger. His district covers Atlantic City, Cape May, Ocean City, Vineland and Bridgeton.

Van Drew lives in Dennis Township near Ocean City.

You might want to sit down for this one. This guy is a former dentist.

Progressive ire toward Trump puts many House Democrats in a political bind. Polls increasingly show that swing states and districts oppose removing Trump from office. Indeed, a recent Marquette Law School poll found that Wisconsin voters, who backed Trump in 2016 with a margin smaller than one percentage point, oppose removing him from office by a whopping 13 points. Even the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee found that opening the impeachment inquiry was favored with only a one-percentage-point margin — 49 to 48 — among voters in 57 "battleground districts."

The DCCC poll hides even worse news for members such as Van Drew. Since polls show the inquiry is more popular than removal from office, it stands to reason that battleground district voters likely opposed removal in the DCCC poll. Furthermore, those tiny margins of support for impeachment is bad news for the Democrat's majority. In 2018, Democrats gained 22 seats that Hillary Clinton had carried in 2016. Given that such Democratic-leaning seats were clearly included in the 57-seat sample and that support for the inquiry and removal breaks sharply on partisan lines, it’s reasonable to assume that support for impeachment is behind in other Republican-leaning seats, such as Van Drew's.

That is a huge potential problem for House Democrats, who currently hold 31 seats Trump carried in 2016. With passions over impeachment running so high and opinions sharply split on partisan grounds, voting for the inquiry was an incredibly risky vote for any Democrat representing one of these seats. Despite that, only Minnesota's Collin Peterson — who represents the most Republican district in the country held by a Democrat — joined Van Drew in opposing the inquiry. Republicans need only 17 of these seats to win back the House.

He is one of them Blue Dog Democrats who vote with Republicans on issues like cutting the safety net, supporting endless wars, establishing class warfare legislation like repealing the Affordable Care Act and mandating abortions illegal. They are Democrat-lite in my opinion.

A party that supports progressive views is always told to move to the center. The Republicans are told to move to the middle and yet they never do. They continue to push further into fascism.

At least three Democrats are said to be exploring running against Van Drew because of his impeachment apostasy. It doesn’t seem to matter to them that he was simply voting his district. Even former Democratic congressman Patrick Kennedy, who represented Rhode Island and now calls South Jersey home, tossed a hand grenade in Van Drew’s lap. “If he votes no on impeachment … I wouldn’t be the only one around here who will be marking him absent from now on,” the son of Democratic icon Ted Kennedy told local press.

Duncan Hunter Out!

Duncan Hunter is resigning after he was found guilty of corruption.
The disgraced Republican lawmaker from California announced that he will resign by the end of December. He was convicted of conspiracy, wire fraud and violating campaign finance laws.

Duncan Hunter, Jr. (known as Duncan D. Hunter), is the Republican representing San Diego area in its 50th Congressional District. He is a far-white bigot and staunch Trump supporter.

Now, he will be a convicted criminal and felon.

In 2017, the Department of Justice began a criminal investigation of Hunter for corruption.

His wife Margaret Hunter was indicted on corruption and was named a co-conspirator in this affair.

Hunter pleaded guilty to one count of corruption. She acknowledged that she had conspired with her husband to spend over $200,000 in campaign funds on personal expenses. She agreed to give testimony and cooperate with the prosecution. The plea agreement could send her to federal time out for up to five years.
From Jarhead to Sweeper: Duncan Hunter's downfall came hard.
Speak of affairs, Hunter used his campaign funds to hire prostitutes. It's alleged he had five mistresses and possibly another child on the side. He used his funds to build his home, buy his children video games and expensive toys.

Hunter plead guilty to the charges after years of denying wrong-doing. He admitted to the House Ethics Committee that rules were violated. He was told to start packing.

He was stripped of his title, his committee assignments and is no longer allowed to vote on anything.

He notified Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) of his departure.

Now that he is convicted he could spend up to five to ten in federal time out. He had to sell his home and move back into his daddy's home. His father is former congressman Duncan L. Hunter, Sr.

A disgraceful Republican leaves the House of Representatives. Just like many of these Republicans, they relished in bigotry, greed, corruption and the alter of Donald J. Trump. Hunter's bigotry will finally come to an end.
Ammar Campa-Najjar faces an uphill challenge. His potential challenger Darrell Issa could make his chances of winning the suburban San Diego seat difficult.
Now Gavin Newsom has to issue a special election to have a candidate fill the seat. The last lawmaker who left recently was slut-shamed out of office. Freshman Democrat lawmaker Katie Hill resigned last month after her nude pictures were leaked to the junk food media. Hill said her estranged husband was abusive and wanted to personally damage her reputation in Congress. She had an affair with a staffer. No big deal. She would have face an ethics investigation and gotten a committee stripped. She didn't use campaign funds or quid pro quo.

She ain't a person who cheated on her spouse with a stripper, porn star and has numerous allegations of sexual harassment. She doesn't have three baby daddies unlike our current leader who has three baby mamas. She ain't a pervert like our dear leader.

His opponent, Ammar Campa-Najjar is looking for a rematch. He is likely to face former lawmaker Darrell Issa in the general election. Issa who recently left the House of Representatives signaled he was going to challenge Hunter in the primary. Now that Issa is primarily the favorite, it's going to be another challenge for Democrats to take a seat.

Issa, does have political baggage and he could be considered a liability but if he does secure enough votes in the jungle primary, he will be the leading candidate in the general.

Family Ties!

Fat Joe releases another album.
Fat Joe and rap producer Dre collaborate for a new album. The album titled Family Ties is out and it's a certified banger. The album has production from Cool & Dre, Boi-1da, Hitmaka, Ty Dolla $ign and others.

Besides Dre on the album, there's features from Ty Dolla $ign, Cardi B, Bryson Tiller, Jeremiah, Anuel AA, Lil Wayne and Remy Ma. But the breakout single, "Lord Above" has two major features.

Looks like Eminem finally answered Nick Cannon. A few months ago, Cannon called the Detroit legend, "Elvis on crack," and said his music doesn't appeal to Black audiences. Em got word of that and decided to hop on this track along with Mary J. Blige. The single has the elements of a throwback and it surely aims at Cannon, Lord Jamar and Joe Budden.

Here's the lyrics from Lord Above.

[Verse 1: Dre]
Yeah
We cop new timepieces when these fools deny Jesus
Hate is a sin, dog, be real, I got my hand on the pump
You on Twitter in your feels, throwin' subs, arguin’ with chicks
I pray for these niggas, same hands that I hustle with
Passin' the offering plates, I'm the preacher in foreign whips
Sermons and politics, miracles come with each and every flip
That dinero from zero, so heaven-sent
Immaculate, blessings from Mary, I reminisce
On days we was broke, all we had was some common sense
Last night, I had a nightmare I was at the stove
I woke up in Paris cookin’ up for Hov
That's why I thank the Lord for givin' me this life
And even when I'm gone the music keepin' us alive
Yeah, it's called forever-ever
Ever-ever, ever-ever, family ties

[Chorus: Mary J. Blige]
Oh, oh
Yeah, yeah, oh
I'm so grateful, all I need is love
To the Lord above

[Verse 2: Fat Joe]
G6 globals, who'da thunk it, from the projects
Eight balls, some poppy, went and dunked it in the Pyrex
Mischievous thoughts ’fore seein’ the sauce
Told Montana in the G, chicky poo in the Porsche, uh
The Frank Sinatra of the Spanish mobsters
We the Jimmy's Cafe, ain’t no need for operas
Had the fiends scream, "Hallelujah," fuck the prosecutor
Gave my nigga fifty years and he was not the shooter
When they see us, solitar' confinement
Dig deep in your mind, no pressure, no diamonds
So we live a life, drop a hundred at the ferry, yeah
My chick's from San Fran', but stay out my bay area
You salute the cross, or you rebuke the cross
Either way you meet the Lord when you get moved across
Death knockin’ at your door got you squeezin' handle
And you ain't seen God 'til you starin down a barrel

[Chorus: Mary J. Blige]
And I've been good, oh
All I need is love
To the Lord above

[Verse 3: Eminem]
I'm sittin' here reminiscin'
Think I just got a lightbulb
Somethin' I'd like to mention, this is just on a side note
Word to the Terror Squad, Joe, this is all puns aside though
I know me and Mariah didn't end on a high note
But that other dude's whipped—that pussy got him neutered
Tried to tell him this chick's a nutjob 'fore he got his jewels clipped
Almost got my caboose kicked
Fool, quit, you not gon' do shit
I let her chop my balls off too 'fore I lost to you, Nick

I should quit watchin' news clips, yeah
My balls are too big, I should be talkin' pool 'cause I got scratch
So my pocket fall when I'm takin' shots at you
Fuck it, lemme drop the cue stick

I'm over the top, like cool whip
And I promise you the day I fall off or lose it
I will stop and cut off the music
Opportunist, wanna kill shit every chance that I got to do this
Stackin' my guap, savage, I'm not to fool with
Like a handgun, you could say I'm like a gat when it's cocked
I keep it a (Buck, buck), your ass'll get shot
If rap was an actual Glock
You'd act like you strapped when you're not

Only cap that you pop is the top on the can of your pop
You the man 'til I pop your top

You ain't Jack in a Box and I ain't talkin' a hamburger spot
Cracker with the barrel, armed to the teeth, Anderson .Paak (Yeah)

Rest in peace to Afeni and her son Pac
You sent me that plaque with his rhyme sheet, I haven't forgot (Nah)

Blow 30 million in a month, call it Brewster's Millions
Just hope I don't lose the feelin', from soldier to civilian

Got everything I need
But I don't even see myself in the future chillin'
Only thing I don't have in the booth's a ceiling
Just call me The Roofless Villain
They tellin' me sky's the limit, so I got my head in the clouds
Unicorn in human form, saw a gift horse
Looked him dead in the mouth

And Lord, good lookin' out
For sendin' me Edna and Charles
Whenever Mom kicked me out of the house
They were the bomb, then you sent me LL

All the times that I hated myself, since eleven or twelve
Only way that I knew how to better myself
Is when I'm bet against by everyone else
So, Joe hit the head on the nail
You ain't seen God 'til you starin' down a barrel
I was gun-shy, but now like a snail
The slug's comin' out of its shell

[Outro: Mary J. Blige]
Oh, there's no hate in this world
That can make me give up
That can keep me stuck
Lord, I thank you (Lord, I thank you)
I thank you, I'm so grateful, so thankful, so thankful (So thankful)
Oh, oh, oh, oh, mm
I thank the Lord above
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, woo

Fun fact: Eminem said that he send a demo tape to Fat Joe back in 1998. Back then, Big Pun was blowing up and Terror Squad was having a great year. Pun died in February 2000 of a heart attack and it put a big dent in the growth of the Squad.
Fat Joe and Dre release their first collaborate album.
Joey Crack said that he regrets not giving Eminem that deal. Still, Em regards Fat Joe as one of his influences and collaborated with him before. Em had rapped a verse on the remix of Lean Back with Mase.

While speaking at a live event for Miami's 99 Jamz radio station, Fat Joe claimed that Eminem gave him his demo tape six times and he never listened to it. "Eminem out here in Miami, he gave me his demo like six different times," Crack recalled. "Everywhere I went was this little white boy and he kept giving me his demo. He was like, 'Yo, listen to my music, I'm telling you, I’m nice, I’m nice, I’m nice.’... I didn’t do it and now he’s the biggest guy in the universe."

Joseph Antonio Cartagena was born in the South Bronx area of New York City, where he was raised by parents of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent. He lived in public housing at the Forest Houses and began stealing at a young age to support his family.

He also admits that he was a bully in his childhood.

His brother introduced him to hip hop music.
Eminem answers Nick Cannon after the media mogul called him "Elvis on Crack."
Fat Joe's debut solo album, Represent, was released in 1993 and spawned the single "Flow Joe", which reached number one on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs. His most commercially successful album to date was Jealous Ones Still Envy (J.O.S.E.) (2001); it was certified platinum by the RIAA and internationally certified silver by the BPI, as well as reaching the top 100 on multiple music charts.

He is best known for the songs "Lean Back" with Terror Squad, "What's Luv?" featuring Ashanti & Ja Rule, "Make It Rain" featuring Lil Wayne and "All the Way Up" with Remy Ma featuring French Montana and Dre.

Fat Joe has appeared in several films, including Scary Movie 3 and Happy Feet, as well as Spike Lee's Netflix series She’s Gotta Have It.

In 2018 he began hosting a podcast on Tidal, Coca Vision, where he discusses music, friendships, and pop culture with some of the industry's most entertaining voices.

Under stage name Fat Joe da Gangsta and part of the rap group D.I.T.C., Cartagena was signed to Relativity Records in the early 1990s, recording material and working with many artists who he would later sign to his own label. In 1993, his debut album, Represent, was released, featuring production from The Beatnuts, Diamond D, Lord Finesse, and others. Its lead single, "Flow Joe" peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot Rap Singles chart; other minor singles from the album included "Watch the Sound" and "This Shit is Real".

In 1995, Fat Joe released his second studio album, Jealous One's Envy, which peaked at #71 on The Billboard 200 and at #7 on Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums. The album featured a guest appearance from KRS-One and production from Diamond D. The lead single was Success, which did not chart, but his second single, "Envy" peaked at #8 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart. The success of this album led Joe to be featured on the remix of LL Cool J's single "I Shot Ya" along with Foxy Brown, Keith Murray, and Prodigy of Mobb Deep.

During the recording of Jealous One's Envy, Joe discovered fellow Latino rapper Big Pun, who was featured on the song "Watch Out". Joe later explained the rapper's influence on him: "Latinos before us who had the opportunity to do it just didn't know how to do it. They came in trying to do this black music, waving flags. [But] we're trying to kick in the doors for other Latinos and represent our people, and it shows."

Holly Jolly!

November brought jobs. Not a lot though.
Adjusted for the holidays. Technically, the last few months leading up to November were quite low.

So again, I don't believe the numbers. After all, how can we magically have nearly 300,000 jobs after two months of anemic job growth.

Nonfarm payrolls show that for the month of November was 266,000 jobs. So that means in the United States with a population of 330 million, there's 266,00 jobs spread across the 50 states, five U.S. territories and the District of Columbia. That means only a fraction of Americans are looking forward to getting a job for the holidays.

Trump only gloats when the news is good.

The unemployment rate drops to 3.5% from 3.6% that stalled in October and November.

Many companies are filing for bankruptcy and closing up locations.

The hiring of U.S. Census workers is coming. In 2020 we're going to do the official count of residency. This could determine which state gains or loses a congressional seat. This also distributes financial assistance to the communities. The count helps determine how resources are used.

The weak jobs reports has forecasters predicting a recession is coming.
Trump, Melania Trump, Mike and Karen Pence together.
There got to be at least 164 million Americans not working a current time. So that means the jobs are either not paying well enough, folks are retiring or folks are dead.

We still have a dozen or so candidates running for the Democratic nomination. No candidate has emerged as a viable candidate to take on Trump. Impeachment has pretty much soaked up any successes Trump gotten.

Trump's mishandling of foreign affairs has gotten more uncertain. North Korea has warned that talks with the United States will break off if Trump doesn't ease off sanctions.

Those die-hard Trump supporters will say that his leadership is successful. All the while, they find that their average wages are stalling. Many of these Trump supporters probably lost their jobs. Some are probably losing their homes due to flooding, wildfires and foreclosure.

Food prices, energy prices, rent, city services and college education have risen.

Let me remind you, that Trump and Republicans believe austerity is the key to a strong economy and job market. The Republicans are not in control of the House of Representatives. The Democrats now control the House and will push for an agenda that Trump will likely oppose. Republicans in the Senate will continue to pass ridiculous laws that hurt the working class and middle class. They are already streamlining federal judges that could rollback years of progress.
Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy.
The inept Senate leadership of Mitch McConnell is slowly getting covered. He is leading our country into the abyss. The Senate is delaying legislation on sensible gun reform. McConnell and many Republicans are fearful of the NRA and white gun owners. They clearly are ignoring the rest of America being fed up with these constant mass shootings.

Trump and Republicans believe that trickle down economics (i.e. free market capitalism) is helping Americans. Really, it's making people work harder and we're not seeing the benefits of it. So far private equity firms are buying corporations and piling on debt. These corporations can't sustain the debt and are forced to declare bankruptcy and eventually liquidation. Many of our nation's largest companies and start-ups have equity firms investing in them. When the firms want their money, they're going to get their money.

With Republicans trying to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, many of Trump's die hard supporters are going to get a culture shock when they find out their health coverage from their employer is terminated it because they are no longer forced to provide it. Or they'll keep hours lower to keep people from obtaining health insurance.

The Jobs and Tax Cut Act has added trillions of dollars of debt to the economy. The results of the tax cuts haven't produced the stability. It's still considered a very unpopular law.

Trump is destroying the economy. I won't say anything positive about him. Regardless of what happens, this is short-term success.
