Y'all voted for this!
What about all the people who died from gun violence?
What about the bad police officers who end up killing unarmed suspects?
Police brutality is protected because it doesn’t affect the elite, white men with power and the enablers of state violence.
Reactionary response laws always end up stripping away freedoms.
Think about President Donald J. Trump and Republicans passing the Laken Riley Act. Named after a slain white woman, it strips due process from individuals who are non United States citizens. It was a reactionary law that will eventually backfire.
Republican lawmakers are now trying to criminalize boycotts at the behest of a foreign country engaged in a genocidal propaganda campaign. The Antisemitism Awareness Act is a proposed bill that will criminalize anyone who engages in a boycott of Israel and redefine the International Holocaust Recognition Association definition. It will include anti-Zionism as a part of antisemitism.
Criminalizing antisemitism and punishing boycotts of Israel with fines or prison.
This is America.
There's a growing effort to stiffen the punishment for assaulting a law enforcement officer.
It comes after Hamilton County Deputy Larry Henderson was hit and killed while directing traffic at University of Cincinnati graduation festivities earlier this month.
Ohio U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno, who filed the bill, is calling it the "Larry Henderson Act."
This car dealership owner want to propose a law to punish Black and Brown Americans who seek divine intervention. So I guess now lawmakers will be open season since they can't empathize with Americans who are upset with police violence.
If passed, it would set a new mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years in prison for anyone convicted of assault on a federal officer.

Larry Henderson was killed after an angry father intentionally rammed his car into him. |
Now you know the hypocrisy.
Trump sicced his supporters on the U.S. Capitol at the end of his first term.
The supporters attacked cops and destroyed the offices of several lawmakers.
Former vice president Mike Pence was in extreme danger. Hundreds of people were arrested. Several were convicted. As soon as Trump returned to office, he commuted and pardoned everyone involved. Some of these folks committed more crimes or making a profit off of the infamy.
Under current law, the sentence is one to eight years in prison, depending on the severity of the crime.
The act is still in its early stages.
Rodney Hinton, Jr. reacted to the death of his son Ryan being killed by the Cincinnati Police. The police claim the officers saw a firearm when trying to apprehend Hinton after he fled from a dumpster. The body camera footage does not show anything other than the police officer shooting his son in the back.
Hinton, Jr. angry at the footage decided to take an eye for an eye. I don't condone his actions. I actually empathize with him. Because this is a system that continues to allow the elite, white people and enablers of state violence to continue the status quo.
Hinton, Jr., the man accused of killing Deputy Henderson, has been indicted by the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office on multiple charges, including murder. If convicted on those charges, he could face the death penalty.
Ken Kober, president of the Fraternal Order of Police in Cincinnati, says he would like to see some changes. Notably, he'd like to see state, county and local law enforcement agencies be protected.
He says this move from Moreno is something people should pay attention to.
"I can't imagine why anybody would be against making penalty stiffer if you assault or kill a law enforcement officer," Kober said. "The very basis of our society is law and order, and that's something that we need to protect. And that's what this act is doing."

There will be more Rodney Hintons. |
In a statement, Moreno says, "Anyone who assaults one of our men or women in blue needs to face severe consequences, period. Deputy Larry Henderson should be alive today, and that's why I'm introducing legislation – in his honor – to protect our law enforcement officers."
The proposed act also says that federal law would override state law when it comes to protecting federal officers.
The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Moreno who barely holds a town hall and embraces the incompetent president will draft reactionary bills that protect the enablers of state violence.
Not one damn bill will stop gun violence or hold police officers accountable for their incompetence.
Yeah, expect more.
Fuck the Republicans.
Fuck the police.
Fuck Israel.
Fuck Donald J. Trump.
Fuck JD Vance.
Fuck Joe Biden.
Fuck the ADL and Jonathan Greenblatt.
Fuck the status quo.
