Sean Hannity is the official softball of the Donald Trump presidential campaign. |
Sean "Softball" Hannity is an informal advisor to the Donald Trump presidential campaign.
No duh.
The New York Times confirms that Hannity and his ex-boss Roger Ailes are working as unofficial advisers to the Trump campaign. Fox News executives are not commenting on the news but given the turmoil going on over there, it's not going to be addressed until the election is over.
Hannity is gambling his career on Trump winning the presidency. He knows that he will be blamed if Trump loses the election. He retorts that he will hold Republicans accountable for the loss.
Sean "Softball" Hannity is the most annoying conservative agitator on television and radio. He will never let go of these issues of the past elections. He will find some reason to blame the president for things that can't be controlled.
Hannity decides to follow the Trump campaign. He is in Baton Rouge doing his right wing carnival bashing President Barack Obama and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for not showing up to Louisiana for the great floods.
The president was in Martha's Vineyard on vacation and "Softball" Hannity is calling him out once again for at least having the audacity to take his final summer vacation. This was an ongoing issue for the agitator. Even The Drudge Report was mocking the president by posting a photoshop image of the president golfing on top a car being pushed by a flood victim.
Hannity is spending a portion of his time in the state to generate sympathy support for Trump. He will be heading to Texas near Austin for a taping of his right wing carnival. He will have another town hall with Trump and Pence. It's going to be another softball interview. Hannity will discuss the border fence between the U.S. and Mexico.
While Trump is trying to pivot, the Democrats are denouncing Trump and Hannity as a bunch of showboaters who have no clue about the problems facing the country.
John Bel Edwards, the governor said that politicians should stay away from the disaster scene. He said that he doesn't want distractions to the area. Unfortunately, Trump and Mike Pence didn't heed the call. They headed right to Louisiana to pass out supplies.
Donald Trump claims that this wasn't a political event. But his supporters were there. He was in Gonzales, Louisiana passing out supplies.
Now Trump is calling Obama and Clinton inept for not showing up to show sympathy to the victims.
The California wildfires are an ongoing issue. Why isn't Softball Hannity, Donald Trump and Mike Pence heading over to Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Fresno?
Tornadoes have destroyed portions of the Midwest. Where's Softball Hannity, Donald Trump and Mike Pence?
This is the selective outrage nonsense conservatives claim liberals monopolize. Conservatives would care only if it suits their political needs too. Liberals done it with the religious freedom and bathroom laws. Now conservatives are using this as a banter for flood damages.
The governor calls upon Congress to ramp up disaster relief. Congress is on vacation as well. The congress won't be back to work until late September. Republican lawmakers from areas that aren't affected by floods will not support disaster relief. They will complain about earmarks. They will say that giving an extra blanket or a television is too much for the victims.
Conservatives believe that getting televisions, phones and Oreos is too much for the needy. They should get bologna sandwiches and bottled water.
Nevermind that Obama ordered Jeh Johnson, Homeland Security secretary to the area. Nevermind the fact that the federal government was already dispatched to the areas affected by the flood.
Some of the residents are so goddamn stubborn. Some didn't want to leave their homes. They feared people stealing properties and they didn't have insurance for floods. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will aid in giving shelter and food to those affected.
Reminder: Since Hurricane Katrina, the Congress has stalled on passing infrastructure repairs to the levies by the Mississippi River. The cities of Baton Rouge, Shreveport and New Orleans sit at sea level. A massive rain storm can overflow a river into neighborhoods.
The president has been prepared for crisis since day one. He knew he couldn't make the mistakes of George W. Bush.
While the president is in Martha's Vineyard, the conservative newspapers blasted him for not appearing in Baton Rouge.
The White House confirms that the president will appear on Tuesday. Whether he showed up or not, conservatives will be attacking him. They hate the president often politicizing tragedies.
The president would call upon Congress to pass laws to help those in need. Republicans would rather see those in need suffer because they may take advantage of the system. That's why the safety net is always being attacked.
By the way, I heard the usual word vomit by "Softball" Hannity. He says that 95 million Americans aren't working. He says that 47 million people are on food stamps. He says that 1 out of 4 people in a household aren't working.
Given the floods, the wildfires, the tornadoes and the massive droughts, I wonder if Hannity will speak about the real reasons to why people need food stamps.
Given that many businesses are destroyed by these events, there will be so many Americans out of work. I wonder if Hannity will speak about the real reasons to why people aren't working.
Yeah, Hannity says 1 out of 4 people aren't working. I wonder if Hannity will mention that out of two dozen people, one of those not working is probably dead or displaced.
Right now Hillary Clinton is leading in the national polls. Her chances at being the 45th President of the United States is 70%. Clinton has a flexible path to winning the nomination. She doesn't have to win Florida and Ohio. She just has to get to 270. Donald Trump at best has 173 in electoral votes. He has a narrow path to victory.
No matter what Trump does, it's not going to work. Hiring Roger Ailes, Stephen Bannon and "Softball" Hannity to the roster will help motivate conservatives who were on the fence, but it will not help him win any support among women, Hispanics, Muslims and Black people.
Trump is done.
If Trump loses, expect Hannity to be fired out the cannon at Fox News.
