Trap god heading to the United States. It's thanks to an unwilling patsy named Sean Penn. |
Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman, the world's most dangerous drug lord could be heading to the United States to face trial. There's just one condition, he has to be sentenced to LIFE in federal time out if he's convicted of drug trafficking and murder charges.
The Mexican government agreed with U.S. law officials to hand over El Chapo if the death penalty is taken off the board.
Mexico's Foreign Relations Department has ruled that the extradition of convicted drug lord to the United States can go forward, the AP reports. The process can still be appealed, meaning it could be weeks or months before the Sinaloa cartel leader may be sent north. Guzman's lawyers now have 30 days to appeal the decision.
Guzman's capture came right after a controversial interview with actor/activist Sean Penn.
Penn got clearance to interview the drug lord. The U.S. government got word of the interview and pegged him. Penn unaware he was being tracked, led the Mexican and American authorities to the trap spot where El Chapo was plotting an escape.
Guzman is the trap lord of the Sinolas, a domestic terrorist group that has ties to California, Arizona, Texas and Florida.
Guzman would be heading to Florence, Colorado, the Alcatraz of the Rockies, the country's most secured facility. Some of the world's most dangerous terrorists and criminals are located there.
