Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III closed the case involving six officers who were held responsible for the death of Gray.
Gray was arrested in April 2015 and was screaming in pain. It was recorded and shared online. As he was being transported in a police van, he suffered serious injuries.
He was later taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead after the hospital determined he had a severed spine.
That triggered a couple of nights of unrest and allegations. The city of Baltimore was dealing with a handful of incidents and the state's governor Larry Hogan decided to order the National Guard to restore order.
He, then mayor Stephanie Rowlings Blake and then police commissioner Anthony Batts were criticized for not showing sympathy to the underclass and the Gray family. It also sparked decision from then president Barack Obama.
Obama stressed that the communities of color and the police must work together to strength relations. The residents who riot and loot aren't helping build their communities. They were tearing it down.
It was determined that the officers who were involved in his arrest were negligent and were each charged with homicide.
The state prosecutor Marilyn Mosby became a national figure for saying that the family of Freddie Gray deserved justice.
The state prosecutors had all the evidence to convict but the juries couldn't decide on whether the cops intended to harm.
The Eric Holder and later Loretta Lynch Justice Department opened a federal investigation into the Baltimore Police. The police were known to plant drugs, pulled over more Black motorists more and used excessive force.
The Justice Department ordered a sweeping change to the police department.
Sessions single handedly closed the door on possible changes to the department.

The officers will face discipline for what happened. Three officers could be fired at the cannon.
Once again, I mean what I say when it comes to bad cops.
WHEN COPS SEE A BLACK MAN WITH A FIREARM REGARDLESS OF IT BEING LEGAL OR ILLEGAL, THEY AUTOMATICALLY SHOOT THE BLACK MAN. EVEN AN UNARMED BLACK MAN JUST REACHING FOR A WALLET OR A DOOR HANDLE COULD BE KILLED BY THE COPS.
THE POLICE AND JUNK FOOD MEDIA TRY TO MAKE THE VICTIM, "THE BAD GUY" BY BRINGING UP HIS PAST CRIMINAL HISTORY, HIS SOCIAL MEDIA HABITS OR HIS FAMILY LIFE.
MANY WHITES (IN LARGE GROUPS) HAVE FIREARMS IN FRONT OF POLICE AND THEY NEVER GET SHOT OR KILLED. WHY AREN'T THEY AFRAID OF THEM?
WHENEVER SOMEONE COMPLAINS ABOUT LACK OF BLACK FATHERS, I CONTINUE TO DENOUNCE THIS BULLSHIT. I REMIND THEM THAT THE POLICE KILL BLACK FATHERS. THE POLICE LEAVE CHILDREN OF COLOR WITHOUT A BLACK FATHER. AND NO AMOUNT OF MONEY COULD BRING THE PEACE AND TRANQUILITY TO THE FAMILIES OF THOSE KILLED BY THE COPS.

BAD COPS ARE DRUG DEALERS. BAD COPS ARE SOLICITING FOR PROSTITUTES OR SHARING IMAGES OF CRIMINALS ON SOCIAL MEDIA. BAD COPS ARE PLANTING DRUGS AND GUNS ON INNOCENT INDIVIDUALS. BAD COPS ARE SPEEDING ON OUR LOCAL ROADS AND RUNNING TRAFFIC LIGHTS. SOME BAD COPS OPENLY ADDRESS ISSUES ON SOCIAL MEDIA WHICH COULD BE SEEN AS A BIAS TO PEOPLE OF COLOR OR CRIME VICTIMS.
BAD COPS BELIEVE THEY'RE ABOVE THE LAW.
EXPECT BAD COPS TO WALK WHEN THEY CLAIM THEY USED DEADLY FORCE BECAUSE THEY FEARED FOR THEIR LIVES.
EXPECT MORE MASS SHOOTINGS.
EXPECT GOOD COPS TO BE KILLED BY TERRORISTS.
POLICE DEPARTMENTS CONTINUE TO ALLOW BAD COPS AND CORRUPT POLICE UNIONS REIGN STATE SPONSORED TERRORISM UPON PEOPLE OF COLOR.
POLICE KILLING PEOPLE OF COLOR IS STATE SPONSORED TERRORISM.
BEING A COP IS A THANKLESS JOB. THEY CONTINUE TO SERVE AND PROTECT THE PUBLIC IN AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS JOB.
BY THE WAY, ALL MASS SHOOTINGS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AN ACT OF TERRORISM.
