Minnesota man got served a cease and desist order from Krispy Kreme after he shared his cross state journey to make money.
Sweet goodness has a price.
A Minnesota man is getting a lawsuit because of a good deed. Since Minnesota doesn't have a local Krispy Kreme doughnut location in the state, he decided to travel to Iowa to grab him a box.
He shared them with his friends and they loved it. They said they'll pay him money to go grab a box.
So he did.
He decided to make it a business. He offered to go across state lines to purchase the doughnuts and charge the people wanting them a few dollars more because of the drive.
Every weekend he would travel to Clive, Iowa, a suburb of Des Moines to the local Krispy Kreme and purchase at least $200 worth of doughnuts. He would travel back to Champlin, Minnesota and start selling out the trunk of his car in the metro Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
A box of Krispy Kreme dozen cost at least $10.99. He was selling them for $20 per box.
When the St. Paul Pioneer Press reported on his deeds. It got Krispy Kreme's attention.
They demanded him to stop selling the doughnuts. They said that he poses a liability by traveling across the state lines. Krispy Kreme said that people could sue the company if they get sick of the doughnuts if the were contaminated or spoiled.
Known as Jayson Gonzalez (aka The Donut Guy) he started a Facebook page and urges folks to support his bid to at least own a franchise in the Twin Cities.
He is a senior at Metropolitan State University and he said that he is working to pay off debts.
The company is considering his bid to own a store in the area. Gonzalez said that he will shut down his cross state journey if they give him the approval to start his own Krispy Kreme store.
Dayton, Ohio lost its only Krispy Kreme Doughnuts location in 2015.
Folks would travel miles to get a Krispy Kreme Doughnut.
Tim Hortons is now closing up locations in the area and ending its 24/7 business hours for the remaining locations in the Dayton area.
The Gilligan Company is proposing more opening of Burger King, Popeye's Louisiana Chicken and Dunkin (Donuts) locations in the Miami Valley. Some Dunkin locations are going to open up in Huber Heights, Tipp City and Englewood. Popeye's is eying the Huber Heights and Troy area.
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts locations as far as I know are in Cincinnati. There is one location.
CVS workers denied a man a product because they didn't believe his valid ID was legit.
Jose Guzman Payano was denied a product from a CVS store in Lafayette, Indiana.
Payano was trying to buy a cold medicine which required a valid form of government issued identification. He offered them his Puerto Rican driver's license.
CVS employees refused the sale.
He even provided his U.S. passport and they still wouldn't sell the product to him.
He was trying to purchase Muncix, a mucus relief cough remedy that has ingredients that could make methamphetamine. Some companies have required many individuals to produce a state/territorial identification.
The store didn't believe that Puerto Rico was a part of the United States.
He told them that its a valid U.S. license.
Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory by my license.
Again denied, he contacted his mother. His mother got involved.
She went to social media to slam the company.
"No license issued from Puerto Rico is accepted as a valid form of identification in CVS stores! This is an outrage!
CVS quickly responded to the viral tweet. They said that Jose's ID was valid and they will enforce guidelines to prevent incidents like this to happen again.
"CVS Pharmacy is committed to ensuring that every customer receives courteous, outstanding service in our stores. We sincerely apologize to our customer in West Lafayette for his recent experience in one of our stores. We do, in fact, recognize Puerto Rican driver's licenses to be a valid form of U.S. identification. We are reinforcing with employees the correct procedures to follow when requesting information that is required by law for the purchase of certain over-the-counter medications."
CVS became one of first drug stores in the country that completely stop the sales of tobacco.
They will probably punish those who denied the customer because of his identification.
Puerto Rico, is a self-autonomous U.S. territory in the Caribbean. It is described as a U.S. commonwealth and the citizens living on the island chain are U.S. citizens. The other territories are Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, Northern Mariana Islands and American Samoa.
American Samoa is one of the controversial U.S. territories. The residents of the island are considered U.S. nationals and it's still legally being challenge in federal court. Samoans have a conservative culture whereas that non-residents of the island aren't granted property. If an American from the mainland wants to visit the island and purchase land, they would likely be denied. If a resident from American Samoa comes to the mainland, they must obtain a special passport with authorization to enter. They can't get federal jobs without applying for U.S. citizenship. That is currently being fought in court.

Alabama woman goes missing after meeting someone on a dating app.

The state and federal authorities are searching for a missing Alabama woman who is the step-daughter of UFC star Walt Harris.

19-year old Aniah Blanchard is starting to pick up steam in the junk food media. Her disappearance from a local university have investigators determining this is a case of foul play.
Blanchard, a student at Southern Union College was last seen in Auburn. Her vehicle was found in the state capital of Montgomery with severe damage.
"We're talking about a 50 to 60 mile span where something could have happened to her," said Chief Paul Register of the Auburn Police. "She's a person that is very close with her family and friends, and her being away, off the radar this long obviously is a very big concern."

Alabama's controversial governor Kay Ivey and UFC president Dana White have announced rewards that totaling $30,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in Blanchard's disappearance.
"While she's gone, I've been holding on to hope," Blanchard's father Elijah Blanchard said to NBC News. "The hardest part is knowing that she's not just a phone call away."
Blanchard was allegedly meeting someone on a social media dating app. They have no suspects or persons of interest at this time but they are contacting the companies that last seen the woman.

Wisconsin authorities are deciding on whether they're going to charge a man for a hate crime.
Mahud Villalaz was scarred by a man who is suspected of throwing battery acid at him. This cause second degree burns on the poor man. He is now struggling with the disfiguration and partial blindness of the incident. The suspect is being charged with felonious assault and aggravated battery.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, this incident happened on Friday.
Villalaz said that the man got into a huge argument with him over a parking spot. He parked his truck in a place where this asshole was parked.
"Because I was parked wrong. I'm going to my truck, and I move it half a block there. Then I get out to go to the restaurant, and the guy's still there with a bottle in his hands."
Villalaz said the asshole called him an "illegal."
The argument escalated, police said, and the asshole threw what officers believe was battery acid on Villalaz.
"The feeling was burning, and I tried to defend myself, but I couldn't because I couldn't open my eyes," Villalaz said.
My life is ruined because of this hateful man. I did not do anything to this guy to deserve this.
"I believe (I) am a victim of a hate crime because (of) how he approached me telling to 'get out this country,'" Villalaz said. "This is pretty much a terrorist attack."
The suspect is a white man.
The victim said that he has two young sons and they asked him why his face looks so bad.
The charges if convicted in the state of Wisconsin will carry 25 years. If the federal hate crime charges come forth, the suspect could carry LIFE in federal time out.
The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

McDonald's Restaurants has decided to fire the chief executive officer Steve Easterbrook after it was revealed he had an alleged relationship with a worker came to light. The British-born CEO of the world's largest fast food corporation had $16 million dollar a year position. He oversaw the "working wage" movement.
This bombshell rocked the fast food industry.
In a statement on Sunday, the fast food giant said its former president and CEO "had demonstrated poor judgment in violating a company policy that forbids managers from having romantic relationships with direct or indirect subordinates.
Easterbrook said that he called his relationship a "mistake" and said that he was involved in a consensual relationship.

Store liquidation at Barneys New York started on Friday.
Private sales will begin next week for Barneys' "most loyal" customers, the Great American Group and Tiger Capital Group said. Store closing sales will begin at five flagship Barneys New York stores and Barneys Warehouse locations.
The other locations are beginning their sales.
Barneys was best known for numerous incidents involving Black customers being profiled by store security.
Former employees said that sales staff and security would ridicule Black customers and call them dirty and poor.
Black customer was detained after he paid with his credit card a $350 belt. They thought he stole a credit card.
One former employee told HuffPost, "Their card is probably not going to go through," they'd say. "I don't know why they come in here and want to try stuff on that they know they're not going to buy."
"If a Black person comes in with a sweatshirt or sneakers some of the white sales associates would be on the floor saying: 'Why are they even here? They're probably going to scam,'" said the former associate.
The former associate added, "They would say this stuff in front of me. Sometimes I would just walk away, and sometimes I would say, 'You never know.'"
CNBC reports that the company will work to "quickly sell through all inventory during the upcoming holiday season." Sales will be offered online.
It was also announced Friday that the store's flagship Madison Avenue outlet in Manhattan will remain open for at least another year in a slimmed down form while the buyer of the luxury retailer's brands negotiates with the store's landlord.
A bankruptcy judge approved the sale of Barneys brands and other intellectual property to Authentic Brands, a firm that acquires and licenses, on Thursday. The deal closed on Friday, Authentic Brands said.

A Texas woman and three of her children were killed in their suburban Houston, Texas home. Ashley Auzenne, 39 along with her children, Parrish, 11; Eleanor, 9; and Lincoln, 7 were killed.
The bodies were discovered in various parts of the home with gunshot wounds.
The Harris County Boys have said the victims were discovered inside their Deer Park neighborhood home. The law hasn't named the terrorist as of yet and believe the issue is isolated.
Police discovered the bodies while conducting a welfare check around 8:45am when a concerned relative called after not hearing from them.
The children's father, who split with their mother last year and does not live at the house, has spoken with investigation.

In Philadelphia, the police are investigating a man who may have killed his entire family. The terrorist is a 29-year old man who killed his mother, stepfather and two brothers.

Cops visit the house on Wednesday afternoon to do a welfare check on the couple.
The victims Janet Woodson Holmes and her husband Leslie Holmes worked at a nursing home in northeast Philadelphia. The company called the law to do a welfare check on them. They believe they were in grave danger.
When the cops arrived, they found the bodies of the couple along with the terrorist's half-brothers, Sy-eed Woodson, 18; and Leslie Holmes, Jr., 7.
On arrival, officers got no answer at the door, but saw that mail had not been collected, a car was in the driveway and garbage had not been taken to the curb despite it being collection day.

Ohio lawmaker Tim Ryan ends his bid for the Democratic nomination for president.
Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) has bowed out of the race for President of the United States. The Ohio lawmaker decided to run for reelection in a seat that could flip if Trump does win Ohio in the 2020 presidential election.
Only six days, we heard about it. But no one seems to care!
Once considered a vocal opponent of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) speakership, Ryan and a handful of moderate/center left Democrats opposed her bid.
"While it didn't work out quite the way we planned, this voice will not be stifled," Ryan said in a statmeent. "I will continue to advocate and fight for the working people of this country -- white, black, brown, men women."
Ryan, a moderate Democrat from the Youngstown area represents an area that covers the city and the suburbs of Cleveland and Akron. He was an alternate to Joe Biden. He ran a campaign on economic issues plaguing the Midwest and pledged to take the Rust Belt back from Donald J. Trump.
The Ohio lawmaker jumped into the face and polled less than 1% in most national polls. He was struggling to raise money for the presidential bid .
Ryan was not allowed to participate in three of the five debates because he failed to qualifications.
He was proud of his campaign. He now vows to serve the Ohioans who put him in the House of Representatives.
So the only lawmaker left in this is outgoing Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) who is polling around 3% in national polls. She is no longer seeking her seat in Hawai'i and is causing uproar within the party. Her appearance on Softball Hannity's shitshow also gave Democrats speculation that she's trying to run a third party bid if she fails to win the nomination. There is also talk she may endorse Trump for 2020.

Former Texas congressman Beto O'Rourke has dropped out the race for the Democratic nomination for president.
The news is kind of devastating to me.
He was the only candidate capable of winning in my opinion. It seems like all the good candidates ran too early. They should have ran after Trump was term limited. The public doesn't like an unpopular incumbent president but they will definitely vote for him over a Democrat who has unpopular ideas or is considered an also-ran.
Donald J. Trump has a 60% of winning his bid to be president for a second term.
None of the candidates are viable to beat Trump. Not Joe Biden. Not Elizabeth Warren. Not Bernie Sanders. Not Pete Buttigieg. Not Tulsi Gabbard.
The Democratic Party has a weak field and it's the only going to get worse when Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, and Cory Booker drop out the race.
Beto O'Rourke announced his departure from the race on medium. He said that he's no longer interested in running for politics and he's going to focus on trying to encourage others to vote for the Democratic nominee.
O'Rourke didn't use SuperPacs in his campaign for president. With that being said, he ran out of money.
"Our campaign has always been about seeing clearly, speaking honestly, and acting divisively. In that spirit: I am announcing that my service to the country will not be as a candidate or nominee."
Now with Beto out the race, there are still over a dozen candidates still in this.
