A Lesson In The Safety Net!

Pulling slightly ahead in the polls, Mitt Romney tries to soften his image.

The internet is buzzing about the testy interview with Congressman Paul Ryan (R-Wisconsin), the vice presidential nominee of the Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

The person interviewing the congressman has gotten him upset over a few questions in relation to crime, and firearms.

I've stated this once again for the ones who read this and many articles posted by me and LeReyna:

The safety net includes social security, disability, food stamps, farm aid, Medicare, Medicaid, and welfare.

The middle class, lower class and those who are too poor are the core of the safety net.

With the rising food and gas prices, people are turning to food stamps, food banks and government assistance to keep themselves from landing in the homeless shelter.

Without a safety net, these people will rob and kill those who have the luxuries of having food in the refrigerator or in the pantry. They would steal fuel, water, bread and meat to keep feeding their families. And yet, these Republicans and their conservative allies are thinking the poor are the reasons for the economic recession. Perhaps those who complain about the poor, should walk a day in that person's shoes!

The Republican Party and its allies in the conservative movement are heartless when it comes to the lower and middle class. In their warped minds, the lower class and those who are too poor are stealing from the taxpayers by accepting food stamps, welfare and necessaries.

We've seen how conservatives reacted to the Lifeline Phone program. An Ohio woman  who supports President Barack Obama (by the way, she's Black) was harping about the "OBAMA PHONE". The woman was considered middle class and she was saying that the president was giving away "free stuff" if he's elected!

Now if you're a rational person, you've ignored that! But in the minds of conservatives, this woman is a government parasite, and the word salad of racial slurs and Obama name dropping.

If you're wondering about the dog whistle comments by Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Congressman Paul Ryan, when it comes to food stamps and poverty, you'll hear them say that they're trying to create prosperity not dependency!

The Republicans and their conservative allies are trying to create a NIGGERIZATION of the president.

With talk about the first Black president being aloof, a giver to dependency, and willing to allow events happen while he's partying with celebrities are dog whistles to White conservative males.

The Republicans are feeling that Mitt Romney could win this election after he trounced the president in their first national debate. After weeks of missteps, the month of October starts with more and more political campaigning. Mitt Romney is desperate and is willing to play every card out of the deck!

Chicago, Illinois has growing gang violence and its reached a terrible milestone of over 500 murders.

As a firearm owner, I want to share my honest opinion about this issue with Chicago and how the conservative media portrays the firearm debate.

I've said time after time and I stand by this theory.

GUN OWNERSHIP FOR WHITES! GUN CONTROL FOR BLACKS, HISPANICS AND MUSLIMS!

Lawmakers want to push forth laws to make it a 15-year to life crime for gun crime. They want to push forth laws to allow firearms in bars, restaurants, movie theaters, banks and libraries. Places where most people fear a tragedy may occur. And yet, Republicans who live in suburban or rural communities aren't worried about a shooting tragedy. They shop at Walmart, Target and Home Depot. 

They don't want to go into the city because of their fears of Blacks and Hispanics living in deplorable communities. They don't want to go into the city because they fear a certain area that is notorious for crime.

They don't want to go into the city because all the luxuries of shopping, entertainment, open spaces, restaurants, community centers, sporting venues, parks, hospitals, movie theaters and bike trails are in the suburbs. 

Urban areas are prone to having at least violent crimes. Murders and homicides are based on region not city. 

Police are grappled with budget cuts and are now using other techniques to curb violence. You've got red light and speed cameras to replace the cop sitting behind the billboard. You have the revolving camera in the housing projects. It replaces the two or three cops who could catch the shooter, the looter, the tagger, the dumper or the hooker that stands by waiting.

Police are tended likely to hold their holster when their engaged in a vehicle pull over! But when it's dealing with a minority of color who is a male, they may get trigger happy if the situation merits a swift reaction. The thoughts of law enforcement dealing with a hostile Black and Hispanic drivers is common. Police officers are coached about diversity training and are recorded by the number of pull overs in a year.

White males who have likely conservative views paint Black men as "natural born criminals". 

This week alone, we've heard conservatives talk about entertainers Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg for their support of President Barack Obama. But since they're rappers and sing about controversial issues like firearms, drugs and sex, conservatives consider them "criminals by nature" and they'll try to link them to President Barack Obama. Every time a rapper sings a verse in favor of a controversial theme, expect a critic especially in the conservative media to zero in on it and make it a talk about President Barack Obama.

Republicans are crowing about the president coming for the firearms. They're confident that the president may win the election and his second term could come with firearm regulations.

If President Barack Obama was really coming for them guns, how come these same agitators are crying about his hometown of Chicago, Illinois being considered the most dangerous city in the nation?

Over 500 murders and homicides in the city alone this year, surpassing its previous year.

Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel is under pressure by local residents to have something done about this epidemic of crime. The Republicans are attacking the president for not focusing on America's third largest city as well as many other issues in their attempt at NIGGERIZATION.

The gun lobbyist are pleased aren't they? 

The sales of firearms are up. More Americans are now purchasing firearms and concealed carry permits. 

Gun owners are now driven to carry their firearms in the public eye. This is unprecedented. 

The National Rifle Association, one of the oldest gun lobbying and civil rights groups out there is not blinking one eye. As far as they're concerned they'll eat and sleep with their gun.

But you hear a conservative say that Chicago is a foreign nation with ravage beast killing destroying one another, it's a word salad of blame Obama for everything! Conservatives are claiming that the president is spending more time with Jay-Z, Katy Perry and David Letterman than curbing violence in hometown, meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, or stopping terrorists with "radical Islamist" views.

Gangs are sweeping the city and it's likely in the next ten years Chicago's decline population may hurt its ranking as the third largest city. Houston, Texas is growing and it's likely in the next few years to surpass as the third largest city in the nation.

Wikipedia chronicles the rise of violence. These issues chart a controversial theme among the city's urban youth.

In 2012, Chicago has the highest murder rate in the Alpha world cities with 19.4 murders per 100,000. This rate is more than triple New York (6.0) and more than double Los Angeles (7.5), and ahead of Mexico City, Moscow, and São Paulo. Chicago is projected to have 505 homicides for the year which would be a 16% increase from 2011.

Like other major industrial cities in the US, Chicago had a major rise in violent crime starting in the late 1960s. Like most major American cities, Chicago has also experienced a decline in overall crime since the early 1990s.

Murders in the city peaked first in 1974, with 970 murders when the city's population was over three million (resulting in a murder rate of around 29 per 100,000), and again in 1992, with 943 murders when the city had fewer than three million people, resulting in a murder rate of 34 per 100,000. 

Following 1992, the murder count slowly decreased to 641 by 1999. That year it still had the most murders of any big city in the U.S.

After adopting crime-fighting techniques in 2004 recommended by the Los Angeles Police Department and the New York City Police Department, Chicago recorded 448 homicides, the lowest total since 1965. This murder rate of 15.65 per 100,000 population is still above the U.S. average, an average which takes in many small towns and suburbs. This homicide rate is similar to that of Los Angeles in 2004 (13.4 per 100,000), and twice that of New York City (7.0 per 100,000). 

Chicago's homicide tally increased slightly in 2005 and 2006 to 450 and 467, respectively, though the overall crime rate in 2006 continued the downward trend that has taken place since the early 1990s, with 2.5% fewer violent crimes and 2.4% fewer property crimes compared to 2005.

According to the 2005 Homicide Report of the Chicago Police Department, the murder clearance rate (in terms of an arrest being made within two years of the homicide) has dropped from over 70% for 1991 to under 60% for 2003. Summer months have significantly higher murder rates, and over 70% of murders take place between 7pm and 5am. The percentage of murder offenders between 14 and 16 years of age has declined from a 1994 high of approximately 15% to approximately 6% in 2005.

In 2005, 75% of murders involved a firearm, and 11% were the result of a stabbing. 41% of domestic murders were stabbings. 10% of murders in 2005 (39) were the result of an armed robbery, 9% were of undetermined cause, and at least 30% were gang altercations. Over 40% of victims and 60% of offenders were between the ages of 17 and 25. 85% of victims and 93% of offenders were male. 76% of victims were African American (77.4% of offenders were), 18.3% were Hispanic (17.3% of offenders), and 5.6% were white (5.3% of offenders). The African American murder victimization rate was approximately 34 per 100,000; the Hispanic rate was 11 per 100,000, and the white rate 3 per 100,000. Over 75% of victims and 88% of offenders had a prior arrest history. 11% of armed robbery victims were female, 50% of domestic victims were female, and 7% of gang-related victims were female. 31% of armed robbery victims were over 45 years old. 29% of domestic-related murders were committed by women. From 1991 to 2005, 19.2% of armed robbery murder victims were white, and only 4.3% of armed robbery murder offenders were white.

For the many faces who were lost this year to gun violence, the Congress isn't concerned. I mean there's got to be a solution to the tragedy. The gun makers are doing reasonable well. With the fear mongering and fundraising attempts by the NRA and Gun Owner's Association, the Congress is fearful of being labeled soft on issues involving firearms.

The Chicago Police are driven to curbing violent crime in the city.

Many Democrats from politically conservative districts are very cautious about firearms. Retiring lawmakers Congressman Dan Boren (D-Oklahoma), Senator Jim Webb (D-Virginia), Congressman Heath Shuler (D-North Carolina) are gun owners and staunchly conservative Democrats. They've given up on congress because of their liberal members trying to push forth laws to curb unregistered firearms and liability assurances by gun owners.

The NRA are strongly against citizens suing the gun makers and urge lawmakers to relax federal laws that require background checks. 

The recent shootings at a suburban movie theater and Sikh temple hasn't budge Congress. They've been forced to play Russian Roulette with the debt ceiling and economy.

The issues of Chicago have a personal feel. One of my best friends lives in the city. He moved from Ohio to live in Chicago. He's a father of a daughter and coaches football. 

I wish him well, but I don't want to hear the bad news about him dying because of firearms.

Now it's up to you the reader to understand these words.

Chicago has to win back it citizens. They have to return back to the days where people felt it was safer to walk down the streets. The police have to be more assertive but never aggressive. They have to maintain a community friendly stance with its citizens.

Republicans and Democrats have to get over themselves. They need to stop the partisan games!

We all have to get involved to help make our communities safe. We need to get pass the racial stereotypes and resentment of one other.

We need to vote.

Arkansas GOP Lawmaker Wishes For Them Days Of Black Slavery!

Another bigot elected to office! Not afraid to go rogue when the time is right!

The Huffington Post reports that another Republican state legislator goes overboard in expressing his opinion of the 47% and minorities in general.

This state legislator wrote his frustrations of social liberalism. One in particular is the integration of public schools


Jon Hubbard, a Republican member of the Arkansas House of Representatives, has written a new book in which he says slavery was "a blessing" for African-Americans, among other questionable statements.

Hubbard, a first term Republican from Jonesboro, Ark., makes a series of racially charged statements in the self-published book, including saying that integration of schools is hurting white students, that African slaves had better lives under slavery than in Africa, that blacks are not contributing to society, and that a situation is developing the United States which is similar to that of Nazi Germany.

The questionable statements in Hubbard's book, "Letters to the Editor: Confessions of a Frustrated Conservative," were first reported by Arkansas Times and TalkBusiness.net.


An Air Force veteran, Hubbard sells insurance in Arkansas and Missouri. He serves on several legislative committees, including ones dealing with issues related to aging, insurance, telecommunications, and waterways and aeronautics policy.

On his campaign website, Hubbard says he will defend Christianity as a state lawmaker.

"And perhaps the most important pledge I can make to the people of District 58, the citizens of Arkansas, and to myself, is to do whatever I can to defend, protect, and preserve our Christian heritage," Hubbard says on his website. "Regardless of one’s religious beliefs, if we as a nation continue to turn away from those Christian principles and values upon which this great nation was founded, we will have truly lost everything worth saving!"

Hubbard has a history of taking conservative stances in the legislature. In June, he called for the University of Arkansas to be audited to see if tax money had been spent on a panel discussion about undocumented immigrants. In February, he asked the state Department of Health to implement a policy that would require birth certificates be produced by anyone seeking non-emergency medical care in a hospital in order to prove their citizenship.

Instead of getting angry at these bigoted politicians here's what you should do!

Are [Conservatives] Still Mad That Snoop Dogg Endorsed Obama?

Snoop Dogg, age 40 is the world famous rapper who advocates the legalization of marijuana.

In the beginning the newly reformed Snoop Dogg running as Snoop Lion endorsed Republican candidate Ron Paul after the controversial politician endorsed the legalization of recreational usage of the "sticky icky".

The entertainer makes his comparisons of the candidates and determined that a candidate like Mitt Romney isn't well enough for his vote.

While this is clearly a jab at the Republican nominee, I guess Snoop Dogg is showing strong disdain for Mitt Romney.

You notice the Drudge Report now is very desperate. He's trying his best to rile up the hate crowd. Just because an entertainer expresses his opinion about the elections, these fools are upset over it!

Right, I can't wait til this election is over!

In the meantime, if you're mad at Sean Hannity, Matt Drudge, Rush Limbaugh and Fox News pushing this racial nonsense, instead of getting mad, just vote!

Did Mitt Romney Cheat At The Debate?

Okay, the left is developing a conspiracy theory to why Mitt Romney trounced the president in the first national debate between him and President Barack Obama. They believe that he pulled out a cheat sheet.

Now some are saying after the candidates appeared in front of the cameras, the Republican nominee turns slightly and lays something on the podium within the first moment he arrives.

Now I am not saying much about this controversy, because it's reeks of desperation and slightly a panic with progressives and their Democratic Party allies. They're fearing that the poor performance of the president will hang around his neck and turn the polls in Mitt Romney's favor.

The polls show a bounce will come for Mitt Romney and it will narrow soon!

As of right now, President Barack Obama against Mitt Romney is 50% - 45% (leans Democratic).

The Mitt Romney campaign goes to the one place he feels comfortable to talk about his debate victory, the Fox News Channel and its matriarch asshole, Sean Hannity.

Mitt Romney avoids going on the other cable networks based on his perception that they'll either give him challenging questions (aka facts/liberal spin).

Fox News is notorious for being staunchly anti-Obama and its showing through its desperate stories to paint the jobs report as "bogus facts". They've ran selective videos from links off The Drudge Report or The Daily Caller in an attempt to paint the president as "anti-White!"

Mitt Romney also pissed off PBS and Sesame Street after he told moderator Jim Leherer that he loves Big Bird but still will cut funding to the network.

Now this cheating thing is a stretch but if one would examine the thing that he tossed on the podium, I determined it was a handkerchief and not a piece of paper.

Okay, instead of getting upset over the Romney Campaign trying to cutting funding to PBS or lying about the president's record, just go to the voting polls and not worry about it!

Early voting hurts Mitt Romney. The Republicans rather go to the polls on Election Day. President Barack Obama and his campaign team can communicate to their supporters through email, cell phones and social media to get people to the polls.

Good news for president means anger for the conservatives and Mitt Romney.

This week leads into the jobs report, with unemployment for the month of September. It ticks down to 7.8%.

Oh, the conservatives are going to cry foul about this one!

They're caught in disbelief that the economy is improving and the policies by the president has helped the country. The Republican governors of Ohio, Florida, Virginia and Wisconsin can brag about their state's putting things together but devoid themselves of crediting the federal level for allowing this to happen. And even though these fools are still going to push this narrative that the president didn't create jobs, those in the media will dismiss this as political desperation.

The Associated Press reports that unemployment has ticked down.

U.S. unemployment rate fell to 7.8 percent last month, dropping below 8 percent for the first time in nearly four years. The rate fell because more people found work, a trend that could impact the presidential election.

The Labor Department says employers added 114,000 jobs in September. The economy also created 86,000 more jobs in July and August than first estimated. Wages rose in September and more people started looking for work.

One last chance to win the narrative. 

The revisions show employers added 146,000 jobs per month from July through September, up from 67,000 in the previous three months. The unemployment rate fell from 8.1 percent in August, matching its level in January 2009 when President Barack Obama took office.

The decline could help Obama, who is coming off a disappointing debate against Mitt Romney.

Before you go through the books, we know that millions of Americans are still trying to find work. But so far, the spending has increased and companies are hiring for season work.

The seasonal work means people will obtain dollars in their pockets meaning the companies in retail and industrial are expecting heavy demand. That will be quite helpful to President Barack Obama against Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

Republicans are still trying to sabotage the economy to hurt the president. But this argument of unemployment being at 8% or higher for the long haul during Obama's term ends.

The barrage of political ads will continue all the way to November. And don't except these ads to change anytime soon.

This comes as no surprise that mainstream media isn't really mentioning the jobs report. I've watched CBS The Morning and the host Charlie Rose, Norah O'Donnell and Gayle King covered the final hour avoiding the mention of the job numbers. They were talking about celebrity stories.

This also deflates the great night Mitt Romney had on Wednesday when he brought his Fox News talking points to the debate. Mitt Romney came under attack this week from angry Sesame Street supporters after he declared that he loves character Big Bird but will still cut funding to PBS (by severing the Corporation for Public Broadcasting).

If Mitt Romney should win the presidency, we'll look back at why President Barack Obama was defeated and look forward to the next chapter in the presidency. We'll focus on how Mitt Romney could win the support of an angry electorate who felt that Obama's race contributed to his lost!
