President Donald J. Trump is suing the U.S. Treasury and Internal Revenue Service.
ANY THOUGHTS?
The Twenty-fifth Amendment (Amendment XXV) to the United States Constitution addresses issues related to presidential succession and disability.
It clarifies that the vice president becomes president if the president dies, resigns, or is removed from office by impeachment. It also establishes the procedure for filling a vacancy in the office of the vice president.
The amendment provides for the temporary transfer of the president's powers and duties to the vice president, either on the president's initiative alone or on the initiative of the vice president, together with a majority of the president's cabinet. In either case, the vice president becomes the acting president until the president's powers and duties are restored.
Highly doubt Vice President JD Vance will gather Cabinet officials to demand the president act right or be pushed to the side. Hell, I believe he scares them and it's sad.
Someone could punch him in the face and he could die. No I am not encouraging violence on the President of the United States. I do not support any violence on anyone. I will not condone it though. I can not put empathy on antipathy.
The president who only pays less than $1,000 in taxes federal and state is suing the IRS after a man leaked his, Donald Trump, Jr., and Eric Trump's tax returns. It led to the New York Attorney General Letitia James to sue the Trump Organization for fraud.
Trump claimed the IRS failed in their obligation to prevent the leak of those tax records by former IRS employee Charles “Chaz” Littlejohn in 2019 and 2020.
Trump is the first U.S. president to be a billionaire, a convicted felon, a sexual predator, twice impeached, senile, online troll. He is the very definition of white privilege and entitlement.
He is an elitist.
Trump, thanks to his namesake, his "Art of the Deal" talk, his endless demonizing of critics and yes, his racism made him the 45th/47th President. He and Grover Cleveland will be the most polarizing two separate terms presidents in U.S. history.
Had the junk food media ignored him.....
Had former president Joe Biden allowed the U.S. Justice Department handle the matter the day after his acquittal from the Senate after the second impeachment trial....
Had Trump been sentenced to time in the iron college or federal time out.....
We wouldn't be in this mess.
The plaintiffs seek at least $10 billion in damages, according to the lawsuit in Miami federal court.
The civil complaint alleges that the IRS and Treasury failed in their obligation to prevent the leak of those tax records by former IRS employee Charles “Chaz” Littlejohn in 2019 and 2020.
In addition to Trump, the plaintiffs are his sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, and the Trump Organization, which the sons run.
A spokesman for Trump’s legal team told CNBC in a statement, “The IRS wrongly allowed a rogue, politically-motivated employee to leak private and confidential information about President Trump, his family, and the Trump Organization to the New York Times, ProPublica and other left-wing news outlets, which was then illegally released to millions of people.”
“President Trump continues to hold those who wrong America and Americans accountable,” the spokesman said.
The suit was filed three days after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said he had cancelled all of his department’s contracts with the consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton
in connection with the company’s contractor, Littlejohn, stealing and leaking confidential tax returns.
Littlejohn, 40, is serving a five-year prison sentence after having pleaded guilty in October 2023 to one count of disclosure of tax return information.
He admitted to leaking Trump’s tax records to The New York Times, and also admitted to leaking records about wealthy individuals to the news outlet ProPublica.
The news lawsuit says that Littlejohn, in a 2024 deposition, admitted disclosing “Trump information [that] included all businesses that he had owned” to the investigative news outlet ProPublica.
American Dad! returns to Fox after 10 years on TBS. The animated sitcom was spot on about President Donald J. Trump being a dickhead.
The suit asserts that ProPublica’s subsequent reporting on Trump’s tax documents falsely claimed that the records contained “versions of fraud.”
While that quote does appear in ProPublica’s October 2019 report, it comes from Nancy Wallace, a finance and real estate professor at the University of California-Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
Wallace was one of a dozen real estate professionals interviewed by ProPublica who said they saw no clear explanation for “multiple inconsistencies in the documents,” according to the report.
“Defendants have caused Plaintiffs reputational and financial harm, public embarrassment, unfairly tarnished their business reputations, portrayed them in a false light, and negatively affected President Trump, and the other Plaintiffs’ public standing,” the lawsuit says.
It’s all but unheard of for a sitting president to sue their own administration, and the exorbitant damages figure being demanded raises various conflict-of-interest questions.
But Trump has reportedly made similar moves in the recent past: The New York Times reported in October that Trump sought $230 million from the Department of Justice as compensation for its past investigations into him.
Now he has a record company that wants to distribute his albums.
The far right is now jamming to his HH single. Heil Hitler", also known by the alternative version title "Nigga Heil Hitler" or the initials ”HH”, is a song by American rapper Kanye West. It was independently released on May 8, 2025, as the third single from his upcoming twelfth studio album, Cuck. Titled after the exclamation said when doing the Nazi salute, the song features additional vocals from West's group the Hooligans.
The track received negative reviews from critics, including outrage and condemnation due to its embrace of antisemitism and praise of Adolf Hitler. According to West, due to its controversial nature and subject matter, the track was banned from all major digital streaming platforms.
Kim Kardashian has full custody of the children with supervised visitation.
He was pretty much left out to dry by the President of the United States.....
Kanye Omari West, you have left the building.
President Donald J. Trump has found him a new toy by the name of Nicki Minaj.
Y'all voted for this.
Make Assholes Go Apeshit.
Free speech for thee, but not for me.
So if you're upset over free speech.... Blame Trump. He wants to make people comfortable to say bigoted slurs, make threats on people's lives and profit from hate.
Kanye West is once again daring the public to censor him. In turn, it prompts more people to express interst in the projects. The controversial media personality, rapper and producer released his song, "Nigga Heil Hitler" and it has went viral.
I do not endorse the views of this entertainer. I am only using this as an example of how we can have an honest discussion about issues that affect our community.
He is his own person.
Before Google flags this account or this post, I will place a viewer and listener discretion advised to this post.
Again, as long as there is no violence towards anyone practicing religious beliefs, there is no antisemitism when criticizing the Jews.
Fuck Donald Trump
Fuck JD Vance
Fuck Benjamin Netanyahu
Fuck Israel
Fuck Zionism
Fuck Congress
Fuck the ADL and Jonathan Greenblatt
Fuck AIPAC
Fuck anyone supporting, endorsing, shilling, occupying and embracing Israel
Fuck Kanye West
Fuck Nicki Minaj
Fuck DJ Akademiks
Ye is once again daring the public to censor him. In turn, it prompts more people to express interest in the projects.
So he takes out an advertisement for The Wall Street Journal to apologize for his past transgressions. He apologized for his antisemitism. He claimed it was a result of bipolar disorder and the infamous car accident.
Yeah, the accident where he openly bragged about having his mouth wired shut. After losing his mother, Ye spiraled. He messed with Amber Rose, Kim Kardashian and Bianca Censori. Each of them lead him down toward degenerate behavior.
In a full-page advertisement in The Wall Street Journal titled "To Those I've Hurt," he said in part: "I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people."
In recent years, Ye has made various antisemitic and racist statements. In a series of posts on X in February, for example, Ye declared he was a Nazi and praised Adolf Hitler.
In the advertisement published Monday, he said: "I regret and am deeply mortified by my actions in that state, and am committed to accountability, treatment, and meaningful change."
Ye wrote that the right frontal lobe of his brain was injured in a car accident 25 years ago. "It wasn't properly diagnosed until 2023," he said. The "medical oversight caused serious damage to my mental health and led to my bipolar type-1 diagnosis."
"I lost touch with reality," he wrote, adding that he "became detached from my true self."
"In that fractured state, I gravitated towards the most destructive symbol I could find, the swastika, and even sold t-shirts bearing it," Ye wrote, referring to the symbol appropriated by Nazi Germany and modern white supremacists.
Ye wrote that he "fell into a four-month long manic episode of psychotic, paranoid and impulsive behavior" in early 2025. He then hit "rock bottom a few months ago" and, at the encouragement of his wife, Bianca Censori, sought out "help."
He said he found a "new baseline and new center through an effective regime of medication, therapy, exercise and clean living."
"I'm not asking for sympathy, or a free pass, though I aspire to earn your forgiveness," said Ye, who is set to release a new album Friday. "I write today to simply ask for your patience and understanding as I find my way home."
In early 2023, the Anti-Defamation League, a leading Jewish advocacy group, said it had documented at least 30 antisemitic incidents nationwide that "directly reference Ye."
In response to a request for comment Monday, the ADL said: "Ye's apology to the Jewish people is long overdue and doesn't automatically undo his long history of antisemitism — the antisemitic 'Heil Hitler' song he created, the hundreds of tweets, the swastikas and myriad Holocaust references — and all of the feelings of hurt and betrayal it caused."
"The truest apology would be for him to not engage in antisemitic behavior in the future. We wish him well on the road to recovery," a spokesperson for the organization added.
Do not trust the ADL. They are not an organization of good faith. They are a mob organization acting on behalf of the interests of the apartheid ethnostate of Israel.
The outcry over Ye's public statements led various corporations and entertainment firms to cut ties with him, including the sportswear brand Adidas, which once sold his namesake Yeezy sneakers.
Ye has previously apologized for his antisemitic comments. In a December 2023 Instagram post written in Hebrew, Ye wrote in part: "It was not my intention to offend or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused."
He then doubled down in the February tirade on X, saying in part: "I’m never apologizing for my Jewish comments."
Apparently, West boxed them in a corner.
If they want to punish West for praising Adolf Hitler, they prove his point that he believes the Jews control the money, the media and the government.
I say let him promote his music.
Many will listen to his music.
I won't.
He signed to Gamma to release his long awaited album Bully.
I believe its a publicity stunt. Ye ain't packing stadiums and pretty much anyone he associates with is either on the bottom of the barrel too.
Nicki Minaj appears with President Donald J. Trump to promote the controversial Trump Gold Card. This card is supposedly a protection for immigrants.
Officially getting a meeting with the president, Onika Petty, 43 has officially jumped on the MAGAland.
Minaj showed the card, emblazoned with Trump's face, in a thread on X with the caption "Welp." She added in a follow up post: "Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President." and "Gold Trump card free of charge."
Minaj described herself as "probably the president's No. 1 fan" at the Jan. 28 event and said "the hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all."
Residency? Residency? The cope is coping. π Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President. Thanks to the petition. π I wouldn’t have done it without you. Oh CitizenNIKA you are thee moment
Minaj said "I came to this country as an illegal immigrant @ 5 years old" in a 2018 Facebook post, but in a since deleted comment on the thread revealing the card she added, "Residency? This isn’t for Residency. I’ve had that for decades."
Minaj was born in Trinidad, according to Billboard.
The Trump gold card is a visa that requires a $150,000 "DHS processing fee" and a "$1 million gift," according to the government page for the card.
USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Minaj to confirm that the card was received as a gift and to clarify her current legal status.
Remember, those words. It's OK.
Cause when the fans stop buying, blacklist and "cancel" you, that's freedom too.
Nicki Minaj turns MAGA
Minaj has turned towards the MAGA movement as her rap career has faltered.
She turned heads when she spoke with Charlie Kirk's widow Erika Kirk at Turning Point USA's America Fest in December. "You have amazing role models like the assassin JD Vance, our vice president," Minaj said awkwardly to Kirk, whose husband, a popular far-right commentator, was assassinated in a Utah campus shooting in September.
In November, after Trump announced possible military action against the Nigerian government over "the killing of Christians," Minaj publicly praised him. She then joined Trump's ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, on Nov. 18 to speak about the issue.
Trump said he was a fan of Minaj's at the Jan. 28 event. "I'm going to let my nails grow because I love those nails," Trump added, referring to her long nail extensions. "I'm going to let those nails grow!"
Don Lemon, DL Hughley, Joy Reid, Godfrey, Clay Cane, Reecie Colbert, Joe Budden, Resse Waters, Crank Lewis, Roland Martin, Armon Wiggins, Anton Daniels, J.S. Daniels and so many others have "canceled" Minaj.
They have every right to boycott, protest and distance themselves from the entertainer.
Nicki Minaj has every right to speak her opinions as every other entertainer. I don't agree with what she does or this new phase. I am tried of this punch down stuff. It may have lead to her becoming supportive of President Donald J. Trump.
I was a fool back in 2020 and 2024. I was all in on the bandwagon stuff.
The bandwagon stuff doesn't pay your bills, feed yourself or your family.
Democrats and progressives: Stop worrying about the noise and start worrying about the paychecks.
If y'all trying to cancel a rapper for expressing their opinions, you are no better than the Zionists who are trying to cancel people for speaking out against Israel's crimes against humanity.
So in 2026, Democrats stop worrying about the noise. Ignore the noise.
Americans could give two fucks about Nicki Minaj and her antics. We got more important issues to worry about. Let's talk about affordability. I don't see anything incriminating about pictures of Trump, former president Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Steve Bannon, David Copperfield, Chris Tucker and others posing with Jeffrey Epstein. It is a distraction from holding the president accountable for not being transparent in doing his job.
This is why you're not guaranteed a Blue Wave come Midterms.
She is literally defending a pedophile while being married to a sexual predator.
Most fans are tired of watching rappers exploit luxury, crime, degenerative behavior, disrespect towards women, disrespect towards LGBTQ and endorsements of politicial establishment figures.
I'll give them credit, President Donald J. Trump and Nicki Minaj took a damn good picture.
I'm on some other bullshit.
Zionist Nicki Minaj.... Did "not see" that on my Bingo card. Trump supporting Onika Petty, yeah I expected it.
Well she is married to Kenneth Petty, a convicted sexual offender and why not?
Our president is a sexual predator.
Now we'll see if Barbz is going to fade like all the other elitists.
Stream whoever you want to listen to. I am not going to cancel her or any MAGAland figures. I am just going to sit back and watch themselves crumble on their own.
Had Joe Biden listened to progressives, young voters, Arab Americans, Muslims, consumers and Pope Francis, well.... we wouldn't have the second chaotic coming of Donald J. Trump.
One other thing, don't we have issues at home to address?
Like gun violence.
The United States, Mexico, Jamaica, Honduras, Belize, Serbia, Ecuador, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina lead in gun violence.
We have sexual violence, domestic violence, suicide and mental illness in the United States.
House Speaker Mike Johnson might have to take a holy shower.
Anyway, Minaj has no foreign policy experience. She has great rhyming skills at best. She also has a good amount of net income of $150 million.
You will never see Nicki donating to neighborhoods affected by tornadoes, hurricanes and snow events in the United States. I get it.
I give her credit to donate to hurricane victims in Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and Grenada. I am not downing her for that.
But she makes millions off the streams, album sales, video views and trolling on social media. Why isn't she put that money into the folks who look up to her as a heroine?
Matter of fact, what about the rest of the religions being affected by governments or extremists?
I mean the U.S. politicians and agitators here are so hateful towards Muslims as seen with Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Keith Ellison, Lateefah Simon, Andre Carson, Louis Farrakhan, Linda Sarsour, Medhi Hassan, Ayman Mohyeldin, Dr. Abdul El-Sayed and Loon (Amir Junaid Muhadith nee Chauncey Lamont Hawkins).
What makes Nicki Minaj an expert?
What's up with this I am now a fucking Christian?
Many believe she and female rappers have sold degeneracy instead of Black women empowerment. Minaj's feuds with Cardi B, Beyonce, Ice Spice, Lil Kim, Megan Thee Stallion, Jay-Z, Travis Scott, Remy Ma, GloRilla, Latto, SZA, Mariah Carey and Bryan "Baby" Williams (Birdman Stunna) also shows instability how she handles tension.
Her career will not dry up yet. The fans will continue to stan for her. But given how Pink Friday 2 and Tha Carter VI didn't live up to their expectations, I can tell you directly: Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne better start podcasting cause the people are no longer seeing their music as popular.
Ilhan Omar had sympathy for Trump after his near assassination. What does she get in return after being attacked? Just endless noise.
Examples of democratic backsliding include:
Free and fair elections are degraded;
Liberal rights of freedom of speech, press and association decline, impairing the ability of the political opposition to challenge the government, hold it to account, and propose alternatives to the current regime;
The rule of law (i.e., judicial and bureaucratic restraints on the government) is weakened, such as when the independence of the judiciary is threatened, or when civil service tenure protections are weakened or eliminated.
An over-emphasis on national security as response to acts of terrorism or perceived antagonists.
Politicians can't agree on funding essential needs and services which trigger spiteful pain on the citizens.
FREE PALESTINEπ΅πΈ!
I want President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Larry Ellison, Elon Musk and Republicans to fail. I want Israel to fail.
And fail they shall.
I am not ashamed to say this.
Remember when the next would be assassin goes for the president, will it be justified as a hoax?
Terrence K. Williams, Laura Loomer, Nick Sorter and several far right agitators have dismissed this.
The fucking President of the United States literally dismissed the incident and has no sympathy for Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) being attacked by a man.
FAKE ATTACK: Something about this doesn’t add up. Do you agree ?
If someone randomly sprayed me with a substance, I’d be running to the nearest bathroom to wash my eyes and skin — or straight to the hospital.
Why did Ilhan Omar continue her speech after getting sprayed by a foul smelling substance? Anybody else would immediately decontaminate, change clothes and get checked out at the hospital. Unless of course you knew it was nothing and it was staged.
My sis is a survivor. She fled war at 8 yrs old. I am angry she is facing so much hate + violence. What these people don’t understand is that this country belongs to all of us. I pray one day Ilhan won't have to put her fists up to defend herself. Her lived experience is why she… https://t.co/ssGdETRHzL
President Donald J. Trump was informed about the incident. He along with Vice President JD Vance, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and Gov. Tim Walz were informed about the attack.
Trump said "she probably had herself sprayed" and said he will not call the lawmaker.
Rachel Scott of ABC News said she had just spoken with Trump and asked him if he had seen the video of the incident.
“No. I don’t think about her. I think she’s a fraud. I really don’t think about that. She probably had herself sprayed, knowing her,” the president told Scott.
Trump added, “I haven’t seen it. No, no. I hope I don’t have to bother.”
The president has waged a long-running feud with Omar, who is from Somalia and has represented Minnesota’s 5th district since 2019. At a rally last year, Trump falsely claimed the lawmaker is “here illegally,” a charge that prompted the crowd to chant, “Send her back!”
Last week, the president called for Omar to be investigated for “political crimes.”
Ilhan Omar brought the Black out.
Trump has also called Omar “garbage” and said he does not want any Somalis in the U.S.
Police identified the man as 55-year-old Anthony Kazmierczak. It was not immediately clear if Kazmierczak had an attorney. The county public defenders’ office could not immediately be reached.
The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Omar was about to bring the "Black" out. She was about to throw them bows.
She really wanted to knuckle up that motherfucker. These white folks fucking the Black women are not realizing what power they got.
Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL), Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC), Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Rep. James Comer (R-KY), Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY), Rep. Laura Gillen (D-NY), Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY) and Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) contributed to this attack.
Loomer, Williams, Sorter, Nick Shirley, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Benny Johnson, Fox and Elon Musk contributed to this attack.
Their free speech gassed this individual to attack a lawmaker.
Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) was attacked in Utah. Christian Joel Young, 28, was arrested for aggravated burglary, assaulting an elected official and assault and transported to Summit County Jail, according to court records.
Young is also accused of grabbing a woman by the shoulder. He appeared to have crashed the party by jumping a fence and had a Sundance Film Festival pass that was not issued in his name, according to the police affidavit.
That asshole attacked Frost and used racial slurs at him allegedly. Frost was close to bringing out the "Black".
Did you know that 20% of Americans support politicial violence?

The same folks who want us to have sympathy for President Donald J. Trump after his near assassination. The same folks who want us to have pity on Erika Kirk after her husband Charlie took a live round to his neck.
The same folks who want people fired for criticizing the president, Charlie Kirk, Israel, Jewish nationalism, Christian nationalism and the children of the president.
The same folks who I said will gas these folks up to commit unspeakable crimes against one another.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) was about to bring the Black out of her... She was damn near close to throwing bows on the suspect.
Oh boy.
At a Minneapolis area town hall, Omar was attacked by a man who throw a liquid substance on her. He was apprehended and later arrested with third degree assault.
The Minneapolis Police, U.S. Capitol Police and Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office will likely put more charges on the suspect since Omar is a frequent target of death threats.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota were notified.
The suspect was tackled to the ground Tuesday during a town hall she was hosting in Minneapolis, where tensions over federal immigration enforcement have come to a head after agents fatally shot an intensive care nurse and a mother of three this month.
The audience cheered as the man, who was wearing a black jacket and holding a syringe, was pinned down and his arms were tied behind his back. In video of the incident, someone in the crowd can be heard saying, “Oh my god, he sprayed something on her.”
Just before that Omar had called for the abolishment of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to resign.
“ICE cannot be reformed,” she said.
Minneapolis police said officers saw a man use a syringe to spray an unknown liquid at Omar. They immediately arrested him and booked him at the county jail for third-degree assault, spokesperson Trevor Folke said in an email. Police also said forensic scientists responded to the scene.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) were attacked by individuals who support Trump. Reps. Pamilia Jayapal (D-WA) and Jesus "Chuy" GarcΓa (D-IL) are in the background.
Omar continued the town hall after the man was ushered out by her security detail, saying she would not be intimidated.
There was a strong, vinegarlike smell when the man pushed on the syringe, according to an Associated Press journalist who was there. Photos of the device, which fell to the ground when he was tackled, showed what appeared to be a light-brown liquid inside.
Minneapolis Council Member LaTrisha Vetaw said some of the substance came into contact with her and State Sen. Bobby Joe Champion as well. She called it a deeply unsettling experience.
Omar says she is OK and ‘a survivor’
Walking out afterward, Omar said she felt a little flustered but was not hurt. She was going to be screened by a medical team.
She later posted on the social platform X: “I’m ok. I’m a survivor so this small agitator isn’t going to intimidate me from doing my work. I don’t let bullies win. Grateful to my incredible constituents who rallied behind me. Minnesota strong.”
The White House did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment Tuesday night.
President Donald Trump has frequently criticized the congresswoman and has stepped up verbal attacks on her in recent months as he turned his focus on Minneapolis.
During a Cabinet meeting in December, he called her “garbage” and added that “her friends are garbage.”
Hours earlier on Tuesday, the president criticized Omar as he spoke to a crowd in Iowa, saying his administration would only let in immigrants who “can show that they love our country.”
“They have to be proud, not like Ilhan Omar,” he said, drawing loud boos at the mention of her name.
He added: “She comes from a country that’s a disaster. So probably, it’s considered, I think — it’s not even a country.”
The look on Omar's face shows that she was ready to knock that fool out.
Officials condemn the attack
Democratic Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz expressed gratitude that Omar was safe, adding in a post on X: “Our state has been shattered by political violence in the last year. The cruel, inflammatory, dehumanizing rhetoric by our nation’s leaders needs to stop immediately.”
U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace, a South Carolina Republican, also denounced the assault.
“I am deeply disturbed to learn that Rep. Ilhan Omar was attacked at a town hall today” Mace said via X. “Regardless of how vehemently I disagree with her rhetoric — and I do — no elected official should face physical attacks. This is not who we are.”
And Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, a Democrat, said: “Unacceptable. Violence and intimidation have no place in Minneapolis. We can disagree without putting people at risk.”
He added that he was relieved that Omar “is OK” and thanked police for their quick response, concluding: “This kind of behavior will not be tolerated in our city.”
The attack came days after a man was arrested in Utah for allegedly punching U.S. Rep. Maxwell Frost, a Democrat from Florida, in the face during the Sundance Film Festival and saying Trump was going to deport him.
Lawmakers face rising threats
Threats against members of Congress have increased in recent years, peaking in 2021 and the aftermath of that year’s Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, before dipping slightly only to climb again, according to the most recent figures from the U.S. Capitol Police.
Lawmakers have discussed the chill the threats bring on their ability to hold town halls and public events, with some even citing the threat environment in their decisions not to seek reelection.
Omar has faced the most particular concern, long targeted with harsh language and personal attacks by Trump and other Republicans.
Following the assault on Omar, U.S. Capitol Police said in a statement that the agency was “working with our federal partners to see this man faces the most serious charges possible to deter this kind of violence in our society.”
It also released updated numbers detailing threats to members of Congress: 14,938 “concerning statements, behaviors, and communications directed against lawmakers, their families, staff and the Capitol Complex.”
That is a sharp increase from 2024, when the number of cases was 9,474, according to USCP. It is the third year in a row that the number of threats has increased.
Capitol Police have beefed up security measures across all fronts since the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and the department has seen increased reporting after a new center was launched two years ago to receive and process reports of threats.
Minneapolis has been reeling from the fatal shootings of two residents by federal immigration agents this month during a massive federal immigration enforcement surge.
Intensive care unit nurse Alex Pretti was killed Saturday, less than three weeks after Renee Good was fatally shot behind the wheel of her vehicle.

The Neptunes will no longer revolve around the sun.
The fallout between two major record producers. They started in 1992 and broke up in 2022.
Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo are feuding and they are now in federal court to settle the matter. The two were part of the Neptunes production. The Hampton Roads duo were producing hits for Jay-Z, Mystikal, Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake, Nelly, Pusha T, Kelis and others.
Both grew up inspired by New Jack Swing. They learned how to master the talents from Teddy Riley. They were competing with Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott and Timbaland for production visibility.
Now they are permanently separated.
Pharrell continues on as a solo producer, singer, actor, fashion designer, model, skateboarder, rapper and activist. He is also called out for cultural appropriation, his support for Israel and tone deaf responses to today's politicial climate.
He was recently knighted by French president Emmanuel Macron.
Chad is suing for over $1 million in unpaid royalties and production theft.
Hugo claims Williams withheld money and failed to report the accounting of their numerous shared businesses, related to N.E.R.D. Music LLC. Hugo said he did not receive his agreed-upon 25% of the proceeds and claims he was denied access to the accounting records in 2021.
Hugo's attorney, Brent Lehman, declined to comment to 13News Now but wrote in the complaint that many of Hugo's songs are also “missing” from label portals.
It's also not the first time the music producer has sued Williams. In 2024, Hugo filed a complaint against Williams for trademarks on music production and branding.
A spokesperson for Pharrell Williams released a statement on that matter, saying:
“We have reached out on multiple occasions to share in the ownership and administration of the trademark ... The goal here was to make sure a third party doesn't get a hold of the trademark."
Hugo's attorneys said he is owed more than a million dollars just from N.E.R.D.’s final album, 2017’s “No One Ever Really Dies.”
Both the 2024 case and this latest lawsuit are moving forward at the federal level.
13News Now has reached out to Williams’ lawyers, the publicist for N.E.R.D. Music, The Neptunes, PW Branding, and Talamasca Incorporated, but none have responded at the time of this article’s publication.
The two were part of the rap/rock group N.E.R.D. which released two albums as a group.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency commander is reportedly fired out the cannon. There is no true confirmation but the Department of Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem ordered him out of Minnesota.
Renee Good and Alex Pretti, two white U.S. citizens shot deas at the hands of Immigration Customs Enforcement drew the ire of state and federal lawmakers. President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance and the Administration have called them "domestic terrorists" and blames the left for the unrest in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Greg Bovino, his days are numbered.
The departure of Border Patrol commander Bovino, who has been at the center of the Trump administration’s aggressive immigration enforcement surge in cities nationwide, comes as Trump dispatched border czar Tom Homan to Minnesota to take charge of Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations.
Homan is another controversial figure who will only stroke tensions.
The person familiar with the matter was not authorized to publicly discuss details of the operation and spoke to AP on condition of anonymity.
Bovino’s departure marks a significant public shift in federal law enforcement posture amid mounting outrage over the fatal shooting of 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti by Border Patrol agents. Criticism has increased around Bovino in the last few days after his public defense of the Pretti shooting and disputed claims about the confrontation that led to his death.
Citing a Homeland Security official and two other people familiar with the matter, Nick Miroff reported that Bovino has been removed from his commander post and will return to his former job as a border official in El Centro, California, “where he is expected to retire soon.”
Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin appeared to dispute the report, stating, “Chief Gregory Bovino has NOT been relieved of his duties.” However, she did not say that Bovino remains commander-at-large.
Noem and her senior advisor Corey Lewandowski (alleged paramour) could be fired out the cannon.
The president now sees concerns with these ICE crackdowns. He had to call Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey after the three had tensions.
Trump has a 34% job approval.
Immigration deportation is no where close to the numbers of his predecessor Barack Obama.
The status quo of white nationalist rhetoric like borders and illegal immigrants. Borders are imaginary lines designed to control colonialism. Countries can have borders to prevent invasive species from ports of entry. Human beings are not invasive.
The immigration crackdowns are a sad pathetic attempt to stop white men from declining in population. As the population increases, we are seeing more biracial, Latinos, Black, Hispanic and Asian births. Biracial children make nearly 20% of the U.S. population.
Trump and the boomer/Gen X generation are the biggest obstacles to progress right now.
People born between 1925 to 1979 are out of touch with reality. In their hey days, things were better for them. But thanks to the cultural revolution of cable and the internet, more Americans are now becoming open to learning more than English. We are becoming less religious. We are not concerned with other people's private lives.
Yet we are constantly indoctrinated with the beliefs that we must care what someone else does under the guise of morality. Freedoms are being lost to reactionary bullshit.
Learning how to adept to technology. Learning to be more innovative to cultural experiences.
Just being real about this, it will backfire and Republicans will end up losing a generation of voters.
President Donald J. Trump, Larry Ellison, David Ellison, Benjamin Netanyahu, Oracle, United Arab Emirates and Israel have a stake in the formerly ByteDance owned TikTok U.S.
I want Trump, Ellison, Vice President JD Vance, Elon Musk and Israel to fail.
The Chinese based company operating out of Singapore has officially sold its U.S. version to the investors who reside in the United States.
This will be a reminder of former president Joe Biden and former vice president Kamala Harris in their disastrous final years. The former president at the behest of Israel signed a law forcing ByteDance to sell TikTok or be banned. They claimed it was on the principles of China collecting U.S. data and posing a national security risk.
In reality, the Israeli lobby and Anti-Defamation League pushed for it on the grounds it was pushing a pro Palestinian message. They claim it was a breeding ground for "terrorism" and "antisemitism."
Netanyahu openly bragged about the sale. He called the TikTok sale a part of the eighth front of war.
TikTok said Thursday in a news release that a new company, TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC, would ensure the app continues to be available in the U.S. The company will "operate under defined safeguards that protect national security through comprehensive data protections, algorithm security, content moderation, and software assurances for U.S. users," the statement said.
ByteDance, TikTok's Beijing-based owner, will retain a 19.9% stake in the U.S. operation. The joint venture will be governed by a seven-member board of directors.
The new company will be led by Adam Presser, with TikTok CEO Shou Chew serving on the board of directors, TikTok said in the release. The majority of the board's members are American, it noted.
The deal, facilitated by the Trump administration, means the U.S. version of TikTok will become majority-owned by a group of investors that includes the American tech giant Oracle, the California-based private equity fund Silver Lake and the United Arab Emirates investment firm MGX.
In a Truth Social post Thursday, Trump praised his administration for helping "bring this Deal to a very dramatic, final, and beautiful conclusion."
"I would also like to thank President Xi, of China, for working with us and, ultimately, approving the Deal," Trump added. "He could have gone the other way, but didn't, and is appreciated for his decision."
The announcement ends a yearslong saga in which the popular short-form video platform was subject to years of scrutiny across the political aisle in the U.S. over its Chinese ownership. Both Trump and Biden had cited national security concerns in their attempts to push for a nationwide ban.
Americans make up TikTok’s largest user and creator bases, with more than 200 million active users in the country.
UpScrolled is rising.
Such a ban almost came to fruition just over a year ago, when the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act was supposed to take effect. The bipartisan bill, which was upheld by the Supreme Court, required ByteDance to sell the platform to an American company or face a ban.
The looming threat of a nationwide TikTok shutdown stirred a mass exodus of users who, in fear of losing their audiences and income streams, migrated to other social media platforms, like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. Many, to express their spite for U.S. lawmakers, also inundated the Chinese social media app RedNote.
But aside from its briefly going dark on the eve of the ban, TikTok it has remained consistently available to its American users as Trump repeatedly issued executive orders to delay the ban. He extended TikTok’s shutdown deadline four times before he announced a tentative deal between Washington and Beijing in September.
Even after the ban’s initial signing, there were signs that a deal would emerge as popular discontent about the decision surged.
Last January, the Biden White House said it would pass responsibility for its enforcement to Trump’s incoming administration, and congressional leaders who had once championed the ban seemed to shy away from enforcing it, as well.
Trump has also flip-flopped on his attitude toward TikTok. In 2020, during his first term, he signed an executive order to effectively ban it; that order was later halted in court. By 2024, however, he openly voiced his opposition to a TikTok ban and joined the platform in an attempt to reach young voters, even publishing a video promising to "save TikTok."
Issam Hijazi, founder of UpScrolled is moving to improving the app.
Trump also took an active role in advocating for certain U.S. interests. Almost exactly a year ago, he said he'd like Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison to buy it. Ellison, an ardent Trump supporter, remains chairman and chief technology officer of Oracle, which is a managing investor of the new U.S. TikTok operation, with a 15% ownership stake.
TikTok's powerful recommendation algorithm, which dictates much of what users see, was of particular interest with regard to the app's future. TikTok said in its release that the new U.S. company "will retrain, test, and update the content recommendation algorithm on U.S. user data. The content recommendation algorithm will be secured in Oracle’s U.S. cloud environment."
U.S. user data will also be stored in Oracle's cloud computing operation and subject to data privacy and security review by third-party cybersecurity experts.
Meaning Israel and ICE will look at the data.
Though the U.S. operation has split off from ByteDance's control, TikTok said the app will continue to operate as "a global TikTok experience, ensuring U.S. creators can be discovered and businesses can operate on a global scale."
Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) announces retirement after initially declaring a reelection bid.
She finally got the message.
Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC), a non-voting delegate who represents the District of Columbia is no longer seeking reelection. Her decision comes after months of turmoil facing the nearly 90 year old politician who has onsight dementia.
Norton, the 18-term delegate for the District of Columbia in Congress and a veteran of the Civil Rights Movement, has filed paperwork to end her campaign for reelection, likely closing out a decades-long career in public service.
Norton, 88, has been the sole representative of the residents of the nation’s capital in Congress since 1991, but she faced increasing questions about her effectiveness after the Trump administration began its sweeping intervention into the city last year.
Mayor Muriel Bowser congratulated Norton on her retirement.
“For 35 years, Congresswoman Norton has been our Warrior on the Hill,” Bowser wrote on social media. “Her work embodies the unwavering resolve of a city that refuses to yield in its fight for equal representation.”
Norton’s campaign filed a termination report with the Federal Election Commission on Sunday. Her office has not released an official statement about the delegate’s intentions.
The filing was first reported by NOTUS.
Her retirement opens up a likely competitive primary to succeed her in an overwhelmingly Democratic city. Several local lawmakers had already announced their intentions to run in the Democratic primary.
Bowser is likely seeking the seat. She is not seeking reelection as mayor of Washington.
An institution in Washington politics for decades, Norton is the oldest member of Congress. She was a personal friend to civil rights icons such as Medgar Evers and a contemporary of other activists turned congressional stalwarts, including Rep. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C, and the late Reps. John Conyers, D-Mich., and John Lewis, D-Ga.
But Norton has faced calls to step aside in recent months as residents and local lawmakers questioned her ability to effectively advocate for the city in Congress amid the Republican administration’s aggressive moves toward the city.
The White House federalized Washington police force, deployed National Guard troops from six states and the federal district across the capital’s streets and surged federal agents from the Department of Homeland Security into neighborhoods. The moves prompted outcry and protests from residents and a lawsuit from the district’s attorney general.
Norton’s retirement comes as a historically high number of lawmakers announce they will either seek another public office or retire from official duties altogether. More than 1 in 10 members of the House are not seeking reelection this year.
Norton’s staunch advocacy for her city
As the district’s delegate, Norton does not have a formal vote in the House. But she has found other ways to advocate for the city’s interests. Called the “Warrior on the Hill” by her supporters, Norton was a staunch advocate for D.C. statehood and for the labor rights of the federal workers who called Washington and its surrounding region home.
She also secured bipartisan wins for district residents. Norton was the driving force behind the passage of a law that allows them to attend any public college or university in the country at in-state tuition rates or be eligible to attend any private university with up to a $2,500 annual grant.
In the 1990s, Norton played a key role in ending the city’s financial crisis by brokering a deal to transfer billions of dollars in unfunded pension liabilities to the federal government in exchange for changes to the district’s budget. She twice played a leading role in House passage of a D.C. statehood bill.
Muriel Bowser, Washington, DC mayor is likely going to run for the seat.
Steeped in the civil rights movement
Norton was born and raised in Washington, and her life spans the arc of the district’s trials and triumphs. She was educated at Dunbar High School as part of the school’s last segregated class.
“Growing up black in Washington gave a special advantage. This whole community of blacks was very race conscious, very civil rights conscious,” she said in her 2003 biography, “Fire in My Soul.”
She attended Antioch College in Ohio and in 1963 split her time between Yale Law School and Mississippi, where she worked as an organizer during the Freedom Summer of the Civil Rights Movement.
One day that summer, Evers picked her up at the airport. He was assassinated that night.
Norton also helped organize and attended the 1963 March on Washington.
In an interview with The Associated Press in 2023, Norton said the march was still “the single most extraordinary experience of my lifetime.”
She went on to become the first woman to lead the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which helps enforce anti-discrimination laws in the workplace. She ran for office when her predecessor retired to run for Washington mayor.
Muriel Bowser is likely going to declare her run for the seat. It is a safe Democratic delegation seat. Republicans have never won the seat since its establishment in 1970.
Republicans oppose making Washington, DC a state. They oppose voting rights in American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Those living in the District of Columbia can vote for the president as it carries three electoral votes. Republicans only carry less than 20% of the vote. Over 80% of the federal district voted for the Democratic presidential nominee.
Lyin Ted is denying he is trashing MAGA and Trump.
Texas senator Ted Cruz is insufferable and incompetent. He is a weather vane.
He allowed the president to insult his wife, his father, his looks and his patriotism. He gets more upset at a far right media personally who demanded he take a stand on U.S. interests over a foreign country.
He cannot focus on the state of Texas. He cares more about Israel and its issues than the state was elected to represent.
Axios has leaked audio of Cruz worrying about how President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance and the Republicans are handling the country right now.
ICE kills another U.S. citizen, a deadly winter storm, inflation still burdening, NATO is at risk of breaking up, USMCA is at risk of collapsing, the president's mental and physical health, European Union organizing a trade group, BRICS courting the Global South, Israel still committing a genocide, Russia is still occupying Ukraine, Canada is working with China on free trade, Americans are overworked, education is on the decline, politics is now becoming a bloodsport, over 30 mass shootings in 25 days of 2026 and the penguins.
Somebody tell me, what the fuck is the penguins meme from the Trump Administration?
Job approval is 33%.
At the start of January, Trump was at 34%. He left 2025 at 41% overall.
Cruz trashed Trump and Vance in conversations with GOP donors last year, explosive leaked recordings allege. The Daily Beast outlines the controversial lawmakers remarks.
Ted Cruz secretly bashes Trump, Vance and Elon Musk.
The Texas senator, expected to second run for president in 2028, slammed Trump’s tariff crusade and said he even threatened his staff with immediate firing if they used the phrase “Liberation Day” to refer to the day the sweeping taxes were announced, reports Axios.
Cruz, 55, told donors he and other senators expressed their tariff disgust with Trump in a lengthy phone call, warning it would tank the economy and lead to his impeachment. The call pushed past midnight and “did not go well,” Cruz told donors, with Trump “yelling” and “cursing” at the lawmakers.
Cruz claims that he received an especially explicit response from the president that night.
“Mr. President, if we get to November of [2026] and people’s 401(k)s are down 30% and prices are up 10–20% at the supermarket, we’re going to go into Election Day, face a bloodbath,” Cruz told Trump, according to the recording. “You’re going to lose the House, you’re going to lose the Senate, you’re going to spend the next two years being impeached every single week.”
The White House did not respond to a request for comment.
Cruz’s office did not deny the contents of the recordings in a statement to Axios.
Still, Cruz’s office claimed that he is still “the president’s greatest ally in the Senate and battles every day in the trenches to advance his agenda.”
2028 off to a great start for GOP.
Axios reports that the recordings were “nearly 10 minutes in total” and came from conversations in “early and middle 2025.” The site said the recordings were provided by a “Republican source.”
It is unclear which donors Cruz was speaking to.
Trump referred to Cruz as “Lyin’ Ted” in the 2016 GOP presidential primary and even went as far as suggesting that his wife, Heidi, is ugly compared to Melania. Still, Cruz has largely done Trump’s bidding in the Senate ever since, and he even campaigned for him in 2024.
Cruz, 55, is now believed to be eyeing another White House run, hoping to become a more traditional GOP successor to Trumpism. Standing in his way is the 41-year-old Vance, who is the overwhelming favorite to win the Republican nomination in the eyes of prediction markets.
Vance was “torched” by Cruz in the secret recordings, Axios reported. Sources also told The Washington Post last month that Cruz privately badmouths the VP to donors.
In the recordings obtained by Axios, Cruz claimed that Vance was a “pawn of conservative podcaster Tucker Carlson,” who is among Cruz’s biggest foes, having clashed with the ex-Fox News host in an explosive interview last summer over the Trump administration’s strikes on Iranian nuclear sites. Cruz supported the intervention and has repeatedly criticized Carlson for his opposition to U.S. military support of Israel.
Publicly, Cruz has never explicitly linked Vance and Carlson. He alleged to donors that the ousted National Security Adviser Mike Waltz—of Signalgate infamy—was pushed out of Trump’s Cabinet by Carlson and Vance.
“[He] supported being vigorous against Iran and bombing Iran—and Tucker and JD took Mike out,” Cruz said, according to Axios.
Carlson told Axios he had nothing to do with the high-profile ouster.
