The Erratic "America First" President Revokes Secrets From Biden’s Eyes!

Trump strips Biden and company of top secret access. The president and his merry band of elitists are spending taxpayer money on traveling to sporting events.

the erratic, incompetent, piece of shit President Donald J. Trump continues his petty senile tour.

He revoked the national security clearances for former president Joe Biden, vice president Kamala Harris, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, former secretary of state Antony Blinkin, New York Attorney General Letitia James, Manhattan prosecutor Alvin Bragg, former attorney general Merrick Garland, former lawmaker Liz Cheney  and former special climate envoy (and former secretary of state) John Kerry.

Trump also revoked U.S. Secret Service protection for Ashley and Hunter Biden.

Trump issued a memo Friday rescinding the security clearances of more than a dozen individuals.

“I have determined that it is no longer in the national interest for the following individuals to access classified information,” Trump wrote in the memo to the heads of executive departments and agencies, before naming those he’s barring from receiving classified information.

“Any other member of Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s family” will also be impacted by the memo.

Former Biden administration officials Jake Sullivan and Lisa Monaco are also on the list includes former lawmaker Adam Kinzinger.

Alexander Vindman, a key witness who led to House Democrats impeaching Trump for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress in 2019; Fiona Hill, a former Trump administration official who also served as a witness in the impeachment over Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky; Mark Zaid, who represented the whistleblower in the 2019 impeachment; Andrew Weissman, the lead prosecutor in former special counsel Robert Mueller’s Trump investigation; and Norman Eisen, special counsel to the Democrat-led House Judiciary Committee during the impeachment will all have their security clearance stripped as well.

“I hereby direct every executive department and agency head to take all additional action as necessary and consistent with existing law to revoke any active security clearances held by the aforementioned individuals and to immediately rescind their access to classified information,” Trump, 78, wrote.

The president also ordered executive department and agency heads to “revoke unescorted access to secure United States Government facilities from these individuals.”

Biden keeping a low profile. He ain't worried about Trump.

Trump’s memo notes that he’s cutting off “classified briefings, such as the President’s Daily Brief, and access to classified information held by any member of the Intelligence Community by virtue of the named individuals’ previous tenure in the Congress” from the individuals on the list.

“In the event that any of the named individuals received a security clearance by virtue of their employment with a private entity, the United States Government entity that granted the security clearance should inform the private entity that these individuals’ ability to access classified information has been revoked,” the president wrote.

Trump told The New York Post last month that he planned on stripping the security clearances of several of his antagonists named in Friday’s memo.

On March 10, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced that she had completed a review of security clearances ordered by Trump and revoked those of Blinken, Sullivan, Monaco, Zaid, Eisen, James, Bragg, and Weissman, “along with the 51 signers of the Hunter Biden ‘disinformation’ letter.”

“The President’s Daily Brief is no longer being provided to former President Biden,” she added.

Trump argued in a Truth Social post last month that Biden set the precedent when he barred him from receiving access to the same briefings four years ago, citing Trump’s “erratic behavior.”

Biden, 82, blocked Trump from receiving intelligence briefings in February 2021, telling CBS News that the 45th president should not be privy to US secrets “because of his erratic behavior unrelated to the insurrection,” referring to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

”I just think that there is no need for him to have that intelligence briefing,” Biden added. “What value is giving him an intelligence briefing? What impact does he have at all, other than the fact he might slip and say something?”

Ex-presidents and other former senior officials customarily retain access to classified information.

Allowing former presidents to continue to receive intelligence briefings has historically been done in case a sitting president needs to consult with his predecessor for advice on how to handle a particular situation.

Trump has also signed executive orders stripping law firms Perkins Coie and Paul Weiss from access to security clearances, citing Perkins Coie’s involvement in commissioning the infamous “Steele Dossier and former Paul Weiss partner Mark Pomerantz’s involvement in Bragg’s hush money payments case against Trump.

Perkins Coie has sued Trump over the order and Paul Weiss reached an agreement with the president on Friday to have him rescind the directive.

George Foreman Passed Away!

George Foreman, the legendary boxer, media personality and pitchman has passed away.

The iconic boxer, actor and media personality has passed away.

President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, former presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden will react to the passing of George Foreman.

Foreman, the fearsome heavyweight who lost the “Rumble in the Jungle” to Muhammad Ali before his inspiring second act as a 45-year-old champion and a successful businessman, died Friday night. He was 76.

Foreman’s family announced his death on social media, not saying how or where he died.

“A devout preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grand- and great-grandfather, he lived a life marked by unwavering faith, humility and purpose,” his family wrote. “A humanitarian, an Olympian and two-time heavyweight champion of the world, he was deeply respected. A force for good, a man of discipline, conviction, and a protector of his legacy, fighting tirelessly to preserve his good name— for his family.”

A native Texan, Foreman began his boxing career as an Olympic gold medalist who inspired fear as he climbed to the peak of the heavyweight division by stopping Joe Frazier in 1973. His formidable aura evaporated only a year later when Ali pulled off one of the most audacious victories in boxing history in Zaire, baiting and taunting Foreman into losing his belt in one of the greatest fights ever staged.

Muhammed Ali and George Foreman made the iconic image. The Rumble in the Jungle.

Foreman left the sport a few years later, but returned after a 10-year absence and a self-described religious awakening.

The 45-year-old then pulled off one of the most spectacular knockouts in boxing history in 1994, flooring Michael Moorer — 19 years his junior — with one perfect combination to claim Moorer’s two heavyweight belts.

Foreman’s transformation into an inspirational figure was complete, and he fought only four more times before moving onto his next career as a genial businessman, pitchman and occasional actor.

He was best known as the face of the George Foreman Grill, which launched in the same year as his victory over Moorer. The simple cooking machine sold more than 100 million units and made him much wealthier than his sport ever did.

“George was a great friend to not only myself, but to my entire family,” Top Rank president Bob Arum said. “We’ve lost a family member and are absolutely devastated.”

In the first chapter of his boxing career, Foreman was nothing like the smiling grandfather who hawked his grills on television to great success.

Foreman dabbled in petty crime while growing up in Houston’s Fifth Ward, but changed his life through boxing. He made the U.S. Olympic team in 1968 and won gold in Mexico City as a teenager, stopping a 29-year-old opponent in a star-making performance.

Ali and Foreman maintained a lifelong friendship.

Foreman rose to the pinnacle of the pro game over the next five years, but was also perceived as an aloof, unfriendly athlete, both through his demeanor and through the skewed racial lenses of the time. He stopped Frazier in an upset in Jamaica in January 1973 to win the belt, with his knockout inspiring Howard Cosell’s iconic call: “Down goes Frazier! Down goes Frazier!”

Foreman defended his belt against Ken Norton before accepting the fight with Ali in the now-immortal bout staged in Africa by promoter Don King. Ali put on a tactical masterclass against Foreman, showing off the “rope-a-dope” strategy that frustrated and infuriated the champion. Foreman was eventually knocked down for the first time in his career, and the fight was stopped in the eighth round.

Foreman told the BBC in 2014 that he took the fight almost out of charity to Ali, who he suspected to be broke.

“I said I was going to go out there and kill him, and people said, ‘Please, don’t say you’re going to kill Muhammad,’” Foreman said. “So I said, ‘OK, I’ll just beat him down to the ground.’ That’s how easy I thought the fight would be.”

Exhausted and disillusioned, Foreman stopped fighting in 1977 and largely spent the next decade preaching and working with kids in Houston after his religious awakening. He returned to boxing in 1987 in his late 30s with a plan to defy time through frequent ring appearances, and he racked up a lengthy series of victories before losing to Evander Holyfield in a surprisingly competitive title fight in 1991.

Three years later, Foreman got in the ring with Moorer in Las Vegas, more for his celebrity than for his perceived ability to beat Moorer. The champion appeared to win the first nine rounds rather comfortably, with Foreman unable to land his slower punches. But Foreman came alive in the 10th, hurting Moorer before slipping in the short right hand that sent Moorer to the canvas in spectacular fashion.

Foreman poses with Trump.

Foreman quit the ring for good in 1997, although he occasionally discussed a comeback. He settled into a life as a boxing analyst for HBO and as a pitchman for the grills that grew his fame and fortune. He briefly starred in a sitcom called “George” in the 1990s, and he even appeared on the reality singing competition “The Masked Singer” in 2022. A biographical movie based on his life was released in 2023.

Foreman had 12 children, including five sons who are all famously named George Edward Foreman.

“Legendary boxing champion, life-changing preacher, husband, father, grand- and great-grandfather and the best friend you could have,” WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman wrote on social media. “His memory is now eternal, may Big George rest in peace.”

Foreman has been inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame and International Boxing Hall of Fame. The International Boxing Research Organization rates Foreman as the eighth-greatest heavyweight of all time. In 2002, he was named one of the 25 greatest fighters of the past 80 years by The Ring. The Ring ranked him as the ninth-greatest puncher of all time. He was a ringside analyst for HBO's boxing coverage for 12 years until 2004. Outside boxing, Foreman was a successful entrepreneur and known for his promotion of the George Foreman Grill, which has sold more than 100 million units worldwide. In 1999, he sold the commercial rights to the grill for $138 million.

You Ain't Happy In Cleveland And Toledo!

Miserable in the CLE.

The Land and the Glass City suck.

The Gem City sucks too but at least it isn't at the bottom.

Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) and Rep. Shontel Brown (D-OH) are staunch supporters of the apartheid ethnostate of Israel. As they vote to give billions to a foreign nation that practices in religious fascism, their respective districts are crumbling.

Ohio is going to fall to the 9th most populated once North Carolina and Georgia surpass the Buckeye state.

Ohio is expected to lose a congressional district. If Kaptur retires, Republicans have a chance to pick up the seat. If Rep. Emilia Sykes (D-OH) gets a formidable challenger, she is toast.

Under Republican governance, Ohio has gained only 1.3% of population growth.

Columbus, Ohio, the state capital has 1.03 million residents. Cleveland, Cincinnati, Toledo, Akron and Dayton round out the other cities.

The most happiest places in America isn't Toledo and Cleveland.

Toledo is ranked 177 out of 182.

Cleveland is ranked 182.

Cleveland with a population of 364,000 is on the decline. The city and its mayor Justin Bibb are trying to stop the bleeding. The Cleveland Browns moved out of the downtown area for Brook Park. The Browns will build a new multipurpose stadium and town center near Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and will replace the old Ford manufacturing center.

The Cleveland Police are incompetent. Tamir Rice was failed. Amanda Barry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle "Lily Rose" Knight were failed. Malissa Williams was failed. Reyna Dunlap was failed. All the young children who never got national news coverage were failed.

Cleveland is a dangerous city too. Tagging, the Kia Challenge, gun violence, people coming up missing, women being exploited for human trafficking and the unfortunate loss of manufacturing led to the decline.

Cuyahoga County has a population of 1.23 million and yet Cleveland is declining.

Toledo has a population of 263,000 residents.

The Glass City is down on happy.

Toledo is not as dangerous but it's not a death trap. Road rage, loss of manufacturing, caught between Detroit, Chicago and Cleveland, no appeal, tagging and the Kia Challenge led to its decline.

Lucas County has a population of 429,000 residents.

Ohio is sliding down. Thank Republicans for this.

None of the top 10 cities were in Ohio, with number one being Fremont, California.

Toledo comes in as number 177 and Cleveland ranks last on the list as number 182.

The rest of the bottom 10 include Gulfport, MS, Mobile, AL, Montgomery, AL, Huntington, WV, Birmingham, AL, Fort Smith, AR, Memphis, TN and Detroit, MI.

Fortune says they determined the happiest cities based on emotional and physical well-being, income and employment, and community and environment.

The Bro Culture Of MAGA: Influncer Faces Feds Over Kiddie Stuff In His Pocket!

MAGA sure has some goofy ass folks.

This is why cult worshipping is not recommended. I would say d*** riding but Google will deem this post inappropriate.

Make America Great Again seems like a concept not a reality. President Donald J. Trump is the first sexual predator and convicted felon to serve. He is the second person since Grover Cleveland to serve two separate terms a Presidentof the United States. Cleveland was unpopular and so is Trump.

Why did so many idiots voted for Trump over Kamala Harris?
  1. She is a woman.
  2. She is Black.
  3. She ignored the progressive base.
  4. She backed Israel.
  5. She backed Joe Biden’s controversial policies.
  6. She didn't have enough time to reach out.
  7. She wanted Liz Cheney in her administration.
  8. She didn't fight dirty like Trump and JD Vance.
  9. White people.
  10. Black men.
To be honest, I would say that her support for Israel and Biden’s economic policies doomed her presidential bid. Mind you Trump lost in 2020 and rebounded. So Harris can rebound if she abandons Israel, fights dirty and stop being nice to the Republicans.

San Francisco earned a repetition for being a progressive city. However, its mind your business culture has become MAGAland noise.

There are 20 countries that place the United States on a cautionary travel list.

Many see the U.S. as more of threat and its been growing since George W. Bush's support for invading Afghanistan and Iraq.

Trump now is being pressured to invade Yemen and Iran on behalf of Israel.

His base support it despite his previous boast of being a "peace president."
Raw Ricci is in federal custody. The Department of Homeland Security and FBI have arrested the far right influncer after it was discovered he had a cache of child pornography on his devices.

Exploiting vulnerable Americans for clout. This far right troll got caught up trying to pimp children and drug users.

Born Ricci Wynne, the 39 year old troll who frequently posts videos of San Francisco crime and drug users, was indicted on child pornography charges by a federal grand jury.

Wynne is already facing human trafficking charges following his arrest in November. The arrest happened a day after he and a woman were detained at San Francisco International Airport, where his iPhone was seized.

Wynne has pleaded not guilty to charges of pimping and pandering by procuring.

The new indictment filed on Tuesday charges Wynne with two counts of producing child pornography in April and October of 2022. The complaint alleged Wynne coerced two minors "to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct."

Court documents indicate Wynne is in federal custody. A message seeking comment from his attorney on the new charges was not immediately returned.

If convicted on the new charges, Wynne would face a minimum of 15 years in prison to a maximum of 30 years and a $250,000 fine along with a minimum of five years of supervised release. He will have to register as a sexual offender.

At the time of his arrest in November, Wynne had been on federal probation after pleading guilty in 2019 to being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, court documents show.

Wynne with Zionist San Francisco mayor Daniel Lurie. AIPAC and Republican billionaires spent a lot to get the heir of the Levi Strauss company to defeat London Breed, the first Black woman to be mayor.

Ironic, he complaining about the vulnerable while exploiting them. It just shows how extreme these Karens are. They want to blame politicians for Americans being homeless.

Rightfully so, but here's the kicker....

It fucking capitalism that led to Americans being the way they are. So miss me with the bullshit about how one politicial party is responsible for everything.

It's both parties.

Yella Beezy Faces The Music In MO3 Killing!

The look on Yella Beezy's face shows he knows his life and career are over. He is charged in the death of MO3.

Tehxas!

Texas rapper faces capital murder. He is charged in the 2020 murder of fellow rapper MO3. For five years, this rapper managed to slip through. But guess what?

His friends snitched on him.

Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.

Melvin Noble, Jr. (known as MO3) was shot and killed on November 11, 2020, at the age of 28. While driving on Interstate 35 in Dallas, Noble was pursued by another vehicle leading him to stop his car in the center lane of the highway. Kewon Dontrell White would also stop his car and approach Noble’s vehicle. Noble tried to retrieve a weapon but was unsuccessful and attempted to escape on foot. White chased Noble and shot him multiple times with a rifle before fleeing in his dark colored vehicle, believed to be a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro. Noble was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Two suspects were arrested for his murder: the gunman Kewon Dontrell White on December 9, 2020, and Devin Maurice Brown on April 23, 2021.

On March 20, 2025, Markies Conway aka Yella Beezy was arrested by Dallas County Texas in connection with felony capital murder-for-hire charges of MO3 in the State of Texas vs. Conway, Markies (Case #F-25-00154).

Murder-for-hire is a capital murder charge. It carries LIFE or DEATH if convicted.

The suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The 33-year-old emcee was apprehended by authorities and booked into the Dallas County Jail Thursday afternoon after a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to jail and court records obtained by USA TODAY.

The arrest came two days after Beezy was charged with felony murder by a grand jury in the death of MO3, who was shot and killed during a midday shooting on a Dallas highway.

USA TODAY reached out to the Dallas County Sheriff's Department and Beezy's representative for comment.

The jury indicted Beezy on Tuesday on a charge of "capital murder while remuneration," alleging the Texas-born rapper "intentionally and knowingly" took part in the death of MO3 by hiring Kewon White to kill him for payment and the "promise of remuneration," according to a copy of the indictment.

Justice comes nearly five years after MO3's death.

"Pursuant to said agreement, Kewon White did then and there intentionally and knowingly cause the death of (Noble) by shooting (him) with (a) firearm," the indictment reads.

White was reportedly arrested a month after MO3's death and is currently serving a nine-year prison sentence for firearm charges related to the shooting, according to Dallas outlets KDFW and WFAA.

Beezy launched his music career as a teen when the aspiring rapper started releasing his own mixtapes.

His breakthrough came on the 2017 mixtape "Lite Work, Vol. 2," which featured the song "That's On Me." The trap track reportedly peaked at No. 25 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, as well as cracked the Hot 100 chart at No. 56. A star-studded 2018 remix featured appearances from 2 Chainz, T.I., Rich the Kid, Jeezy, Boosie Badazz and Trapboy Freddie.

In recent years, Beezy has collaborated with top names in hip-hop such as Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, Young Thug and Gunna.

Beezy's last album, "Bad Azz Yella Boy," was released in August 2022.

The police told USA TODAY that the shooting suspect — described as an adult Black male — exited his stopped dark sedan armed with a firearm and approached MO3, who exited his stationary car and began running southbound on the highway.

The suspect — now identified as White — chased MO3, firing multiple shots and striking him. The rapper was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries, according to a police report obtained by USA TODAY at the time. MO3 was 28 years old.

White also struck an innocent bystander, an adult male, who was sitting in a separate car. The second victim was also transported to an area hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

These murderers don't have mental illness. They are calculated and prepared. It happened to be a moment where they have the opportunity to take out lives.

There's no sickness in the head. Most mass shooters legally obtain their assault rifles without little background checks. They have likely no criminal history and they are willing to use the assault weapon in the only thing it's good for: Killing numerous lives.

I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns.

Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases.

Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.

According to the far rightWhite shooters are mentally ill. Black shooters are unrepentant thugs and criminals. Gay shooters are active groomers. Muslim shooters are terrorists. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants. According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assumes the gunmen are Black.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican legislators who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms.

The far right and Republicans exploit gun violence in the Black community for culture wars and racism.

Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-Semitic or in support of terrorism.

We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and legislators avoid influence from lobbyists.

It Takes A Dummy To Dismantle American Education!

Y'all voted for this. To offset the tax cuts, military funding for Israel and the endless pork, Trump signs off the end of the Department of Education.

And folks said that Project 2025 was a joke. Really, it appears to be a very real issue.

President Donald J. Trump officially signed an executive order to shut down the U.S. Department of Education. He and Secretary Linda McMahon will work on dismantling the federal agency.

It will face legal challenges and of course set the groundwork for a revolt of teachers and students.

Flanked by children seated at school desks, Zionist Trump signed an executive order Thursday aiming to eliminate the U.S. Education Department, advancing a campaign promise to eliminate an agency that’s been a longtime target of conservatives. Trump said the agency will maintain control of federal student loans and Pell grants.

Trump has derided the department as wasteful and polluted by liberal ideology. Completing its dismantling is most likely impossible without an act of Congress, which created the department in 1979.

Trump has derided the Education Department as wasteful and polluted by liberal ideology. However, completing its dismantling is most likely impossible without an act of Congress, which created the department in 1979. Republicans said they will introduce legislation to achieve that, while Democrats have quickly lined up to oppose the idea.

The order says the education secretary will, “to the maximum extent appropriate and permitted by law, take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure of the Department of Education and return authority over education to the States and local communities.”

It offers no detail on how that work will be carried out or where it will be targeted, though the White House said the agency will retain certain critical functions.

Trump said his administration will close the department beyond its “core necessities,” preserving its responsibilities for Title I funding for low-income schools, Pell grants and money for children with disabilities.

The White House said earlier Thursday the department will continue to manage federal student loans, but the order appears to say the opposite. It says the Education Department doesn’t have the staff to oversee its $1.6 trillion loan portfolio and “must return bank functions to an entity equipped to serve America’s students.”

At a signing ceremony, Trump blamed the department for America’s lagging academic performance and said states will do a better job.

“It’s doing us no good,” he said.

Already, Trump’s Republican administration has been gutting the agency. Its workforce is being slashed in half, and there have been deep cuts to the Office for Civil Rights and the Institute of Education Sciences, which gathers data on the nation’s academic progress.

Zionist Education Secretary Linda McMahon said she will remove red tape and empower states to decide what’s best for their schools. But she promised to continue essential services and work with states and Congress “to ensure a lawful and orderly transition.”

Part of her job will be exploring which agencies can take on the Education Department’s various roles, she said.

“The Department of Justice already has a civil rights office, and I think that there is an opportunity to discuss with Attorney General Bondi about locating some of our civil rights work there,” McMahon told reporters after the signing.

The measure was celebrated by groups that have long called for an end to the department.

“For decades, it has funneled billions of taxpayer dollars into a failing system — one that prioritizes leftist indoctrination over academic excellence, all while student achievement stagnates and America falls further behind,” said Kevin Roberts, president of the Heritage Foundation.

Trump with Linda McMahon, former WWE/TKO executive turned Education Secretary.

Advocates for public schools said eliminating the department would leave children behind in a fundamentally unequal education system.

“This is a dark day for the millions of American children who depend on federal funding for a quality education, including those in poor and rural communities with parents who voted for Trump,” NAACP President Derrick Johnson said.

Opponents are already gearing up for legal challenges, including Democracy Forward, a public interest litigation group. Zionist Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called the order a “tyrannical power grab” and “one of the most destructive and devastating steps Donald Trump has ever taken.”

Margaret Spellings, who served as education secretary under Zionist Republican President George W. Bush, questioned whether whether the department will be able to accomplish its remaining missions, and whether it will ultimately improve schools.

“Will it distract us from the ability to focus urgently on student achievement, or will people be figuring out how to run the train?” she asked.

Spellings said schools have always been run by local and state officials, and rejected the idea that the Education Department and federal government have been holding them back.

Currently, much of the agency’s work revolves around managing money — both its extensive student loan portfolio and a range of aid programs for colleges and school districts, like school meals and support for homeless students. The agency also is key in overseeing civil rights enforcement.

The Trump administration has not addressed the fate of other department operations, like its support for for technical education and adult learning, grants for rural schools and after-school programs, and a federal work-study program that provides employment to students with financial need.

States and districts already control local schools, including curriculum, but some conservatives have pushed to cut strings attached to federal money and provide it to states as “block grants” to be used at their discretion.

Block granting has raised questions about vital funding sources including Title I, the largest source of federal money to America’s K-12 schools. Families of children with disabilities have despaired over what could come of the federal department’s work protecting their rights.

Federal funding makes up a relatively small portion of public school budgets — roughly 14%. The money often supports supplemental programs for vulnerable students, such as the McKinney-Vento program for homeless students or Title I for low-income schools.

Republicans have talked about closing the Education Department for decades, saying it wastes money and inserts the federal government into decisions that should fall to states and schools. The idea has gained popularity recently as conservative parents’ groups demand more authority over their children’s schooling.

In his platform, Trump promised to close the department “and send it back to the states, where it belongs.” Trump has cast the department as a hotbed of “radicals, zealots and Marxists” who overextend their reach through guidance and regulation.

Even as Trump moves to dismantle the department, he has leaned on it to promote elements of his agenda. He has used investigative powers of the Office for Civil Rights and the threat of withdrawing federal education money to target schools and colleges that run afoul of his orders on transgender athletes participating in women’s sports, pro-Palestinian activism and diversity programs.

Sen. Patty Murray of Washington, a Democrat on the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, dismissed Trump’s claim that he’s returning education to the states. She said he is actually “trying to exert ever more control over local schools and dictate what they can and cannot teach.”

Even some of Trump’s allies have questioned his power to close the agency without action from Congress, and there are doubts about its political popularity. The House considered an amendment to close the agency in 2023, but 60 Republicans joined Democrats in opposing it.
