Luna has claimed her father raised her to follow Messianic Judaism, an evangelical movement that incorporates Jewish traditions into Protestant Christianity, and that she is "a small fraction Ashkenazi". Members of her extended family have said her father was Catholic and that "they were not aware of him practicing any form of Judaism while Luna was growing up". Her mother has said that Luna's father was a "Christian that embraced the Messianic faith" after getting clean from drug addiction. Her grandfather, Heinrich Mayerhofer, identified as Catholic when he immigrated to Canada in 1954.
In 2020, Luna claimed in a PragerU documentary that her "entire mother's side of the family and father's side of the family on both sides are from Mexico". Her paternal grandfather, however, was German.
Luna has said that she "grew up in the welfare system" she was raised by her mother on government assistance with "no family to rely on", and she was raised in a "broken home mentality".
Luna claims that her father was a drug addict. She has said that, at the age of 10, she found his bag of meth.
She has also said that her maternal grandmother died of AIDS due to heroin use. Her mother Monica refutes this, confirming her own mother was a long-time heroin user and was HIV positive, but actually died of cancer when her daughter (Anna) was only one year old. By 2020, both she (Anna) and her mother (Monica) had chosen the Luna surname as "an homage" to that same woman's maiden name.
Luna has claimed that both she and her mother lacked "a strong extended network of people" who could help care for them, and that she had attended "over six high schools" before graduating.
Luna's cousin has said, "The whole family kind of raised her—my dad was a part of her life when she was younger and we all kind of coddled her ... She was always a part of everything, all these family gatherings and activities". Luna's aunt said, "She had everything. What she needed and more ... And not only did [Luna's mother] provide for her, but [Luna's grandfather] did, too".
Luna has disputed these accounts, saying that she "barely spent any time with them in her entire life". Luna's mother said that she had to rely on welfare for periods of time, especially while she was putting herself through college at the University of California, Irvine and then at the UCLA School of Law, and that she was the only source of meaningful financial support for the family.
Air Force members who served with Luna in Missouri said that she wore designer clothing and that she had mentioned having nannies as a child. Luna's mother said that she owned a designer coat that she had bought at a thrift store and was known to wear it frequently, and that the idea of her having had nannies is "preposterous".

When asked if he believed his opponent in the 2024 presidential election, Kamala Harris, who is biracial as well as the first Black woman and first Indian American major presidential nominee in American history was a "DEI hire" he started to question her race saying, "And she was always of Indian heritage, and she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn Black. And now she wants to be known as Black. So I don’t know. Is she Indian or is she Black? I respect either one. I respect either one. But she obviously doesn’t because she was Indian all the way. And then all of a sudden she made a turn and she went, she became a Black person." He later again questioned her race by posting a video on his Truth Social account showing Harris, in his words, “saying she’s Indian, not Black” and calling her a “stone cold phony.” Additionally, at one of his rallies in Pennsylvania, news articles of Harris becoming the first Indian American US senator were displayed, supposedly to continue questioning her Black identity. Trump comments were widely interpreted as racist and implying that multiracial people must pick one identity to align themselves with.

Okay, only two minutes into the questioning, Trump insults Rachel Scott, complaining about the event being 35 minutes late, disrespect the hosts who inviting him and pivots constantly when questioned about his dog whistle racism. The rest of it was totally out of pocket.

Scott asked Trump why Black voters should trust him, especially after Trump has made false claims that political rivals such as former President Barack Obama were not born in the United States, has dined with a white supremacist at his Florida residence and has slammed Black journalists.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been asked a question in such a horrible manner,” Trump said.
Scott pressed Trump about Republican members of Congress who have referred to Harris, who is the first Black woman and woman of Asian American descent to serve as vice president, as a so-called DEI hire. She asked if that was acceptable language.
Trump didn’t answer the question and asked Scott to define DEI, which she said stood for diversity, equity and inclusion.

Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas was assassinated in Tehran. He was killed by Israeli Mossad agents. This is a violation of international law and another reason for the Arab League to mount a retaliatory attack on Israel.
Haniyeh was born in the al-Shati refugee camp in the then Egyptian-controlled Gaza Strip in 1962 or 1963, to parents who were expelled or fled from Ashkelon during the 1948 Palestine war. He gained a bachelor's degree in Arabic literature in 1987 from the Islamic University of Gaza, where he first became involved with Hamas after it was created during the First Intifada against the Israeli occupation, leading to his imprisonment for three short periods after having participated in protests. After his release in 1992, he was exiled to Lebanon, returning a year later to become a dean at Gaza's Islamic University. Haniyeh was appointed to head a Hamas office in 1997, and subsequently rose in the ranks of the organization.
Haniyeh was head of the Hamas list that won the Palestinian legislative elections of 2006, which campaigned on armed resistance against the Israeli occupation, and so became Prime Minister of the State of Palestine. However, Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian President, dismissed Haniyeh from office on June 14, 2007. Due to the then-ongoing Fatah–Hamas conflict, Haniyeh did not acknowledge Abbas' decree and continued to exercise prime ministerial authority in the Gaza Strip. Haniyeh was the leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip from 2006 until February 2017, when he was replaced by Yahya Sinwar. Haniyeh was seen as relatively one of the more pragmatic and moderate figures in Hamas.
Haniyeh was married and had 13 children, three of whom were killed in 2024. In 2009, the family lived in Al-Shati refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip. In 2010, Haniyeh purchased a 2,500-square-metre (0.6-acre) parcel of land in Rimal, a Gaza City beachfront neighborhood. Haniyeh registered the land in the name of his son-in-law. Subsequently, Haniyeh reportedly purchased additional homes and registered them under the names of his children. According to a 2014 Ynet article, Haniyeh was a millionaire, stemming from the 20% tax charged on all items entering through tunnels from Egypt to the Gaza Strip. Haniyeh's eldest son was arrested by Egyptian authorities at the Rafah Border Crossing with several million dollars, which he intended to take into Gaza.
Haniyeh's sisters, Kholidia, Laila, and Sabah, are Israeli citizens and live in the Bedouin town of Tel as-Sabi in southern Israel. Kholodia moved to Tel as-Sabi first and then her two sisters followed. Kholidia's husband said "Our life is normal here and we want it to continue." Laila and Sabah are both widowed but remain in Tel as-Sabi, presumably to retain their Israeli citizenship. Some of the children of the three sisters have served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
In early 2012, Israeli authorities granted a request to travel by Haniyeh's sister, Suhila Abd el‑Salam Ahmed Haniyeh, and her critically ill husband for emergency heart treatment that could not be treated by hospitals in Gaza. After successful treatment at the Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva, Israel, the couple returned to Gaza. Haniyeh's granddaughter was treated in an Israeli hospital in November 2013 and his mother-in-law was treated in an Israeli hospital in June 2014. In October 2014, a few months after the 2014 Israel–Gaza War, Haniyeh's daughter spent a week in an Israeli hospital in Tel Aviv for emergency treatment after she suffered complications from a routine procedure.
In September 2016, Haniyeh left Gaza with his wife and two of his sons for the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, known as the Hajj. This trip, interpreted as a campaign commencement, bolstered reports that Haniyeh was to replace Mashaal. He went to Qassim Suleimani's funeral, in Tehran, Iran in 2020.
As of 2023, Haniyeh lived in Qatar.

Hours earlier, Israel carried out a rare strike in the Lebanese capital Beirut that it said killed a top Hezbollah commander who was allegedly behind a weekend rocket attack that killed 12 young people in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights. Hezbollah said Wednesday that it was still searching for the body of Fouad Shukur in the rubble of the building that was struck.
The U.S. and other nations had already been scrambling to prevent the Golan Heights strike from spiraling into an all-out war between Israel and Hezbollah when word came of the dramatic assassination of Hamas’ top political leader Haniyeh in Tehran.
There was no immediate reaction from the White House to the killing of Haniyeh.
An Israeli military spokesman declined to comment. Israel often doesn’t comment on assassinations carried out by its Mossad intelligence agency or strikes on other countries. Hamas said Haniyeh was killed “in a Zionist airstrike on his residence in Tehran” after he attended the swearing-in of Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday, along with other Hamas officials and officials from Hezbollah and allied groups.
“Hamas declares to the great Palestinian people and the people of the Arab and Islamic nations and all the free people of the world, brother leader Ismail Ismail Haniyeh a martyr,” Hamas said in its terse statement.
In another statement, the group quoted Haniyeh as saying that the Palestinian cause has “costs” and “we are ready for these costs: martyrdom for the sake of Palestine, and for the sake of God Almighty, and for the sake of the dignity of this nation.”
Hamas officials did not immediately respond to requests for further comment.
In the West Bank, the internationally backed Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas condemned Haniyeh’s killing, calling it a “cowardly act and dangerous development.” Political factions in the occupied territory called for strikes in protest at the killing.
Haniyeh left the Gaza Strip in 2019 and had lived in exile in Qatar. The top Hamas leader in Gaza is Yehya Sinwar, who masterminded the Oct. 7 attack.
In April, an Israeli airstrike in Gaza killed three of Haniyeh’s sons and four of his grandchildren.
In an interview with the Al Jazeera satellite channel at the time, Haniyeh said the killings would not pressure Hamas into softening its positions amid ongoing cease-fire negotiations with Israel.
Meanwhile, Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces, a coalition of militias, said that a strike Tuesday night on a base southwest of Baghdad killed four members of the Kataib Hezbollah militia.
The group accused the United States of being behind the strike. Kataib Hezbollah, along with some of the other militias, has in recent months carried out attacks against bases housing U.S. troops in Iraq and Syria in retaliation for Washington’s support for Israel in the war in Gaza. U.S. officials did not immediately comment.
Israel is suspected of running a yearslong illegal target killings targeting Iranian nuclear scientists and others associated with its atomic program. In 2020, a top Iranian military nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, was killed by a remote-controlled machine gun while traveling in a car outside Tehran.

Hamas is not raping women and there is no proof they done such a horrible act. Israel has raped, tortured, maimed, sodomized and mentally exploited human beings. The evil regime had the backing their supporters praising their horrible actions by soliders and government officials. It is part of the dehumanizing campaign Israel is promoting to influencers in the West. You see it when they are constantly deflecting from the images of Gaza being destroyed by American and European sponsored Israeli weapons. In their minds, they are justifying the brutal slaughter of children, men, women, journalists and doctors as collateral damage.
Hamas stated the reasons for the attack on occupation forces. It has nothing to do with the Jewish religion or Iran.

Israel says around 100 hostages are still captive in Gaza, along with the bodies of around 30 more. Israel's campaign in Gaza since the attack has killed more than 40,000 Palestinians, according to Gaza health officials.
With the approval of AIPAC, the ADL and the state of Israel, Congress and Biden:
1. Forced TikTok to divest from ByteDance or face a ban in the U.S.
2. Advocated the arrest, the suspension, the termination of students, staff and media figures for protesting.
3. Drafted bills to define criticism of Israel as antisemitic and are working to push for fines and jail time.
4. Worked to sanction the International Criminal Court and its prosecutors from issuing arrest warrant to top Israeli leaders.
5. Continued to give Israel billions in taxpayer money without any conditions.
6. Refused to have a formal investigation into the deaths of Americans killed by Israel.
7. Supported retaliation towards Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, Iran and Iraq despite Israel launching illegal airstrikes.
8. Refused to sanction Israel for illegal settlements, killing of journalists and other atrocities.
9. Voted to block funding to UNRWA and WHO because of allegations made by Israeli propaganda.
10. Called organized protesters and those who support them outside agitators as a label to denounce active protest and dissent against status quo. Some lawmakers want to strip federal aid and look into legal statuses of international students. Some want to impose Muslim and immigrant bans.
To make this clear, it doesn't matter anymore who the fucking president is. President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, former president Donald J. Trump, J.D. Vance, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Nicole Shanahan are backing Israel over the world. They are so out of touch with reality.

After five years of anchoring CBS Evening News, Norah O'Donnell has announced she will step down from the role soon as the 2024 U.S. Elections ends.
The anchor who joined CBS since 2011 will continue to be on the network as a special correspondent and contributor to 60 Minutes.
A source confirmed to Mediaite that O’Donnell is relinquishing her role as the anchor and managing editor of the network’s nightly news broadcast, a position she’s held since 2019. Puck’s Dylan Byers was first to report the news, which he obtained through an interview with O’Donnell, who scored a series of major interviews with world leaders from her perch at CBS but languished in third place in the ratings, behind the flagship programs from NBC News and ABC News.
The change is a big one for CBS, and lots of eyes will be on the network as it determines what happens next with the stories evening newscast, which has counted Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather among its former anchors.
O’Donnell replaced Jeff Glor as the face of the network’s flagship news program as anchor and managing editor in July 2019 with a renewal of her deal that was to run through to the 2024 election. She has led CBS News’ flagship broadcast from Washington, D.C.
Previously, O’Donnell was co-host of CBS This Morning since 2012. Before that, she served as CBS News’ chief White House correspondent during the President Barack Obama administration.
Erica Ash, an actress and comedian skilled in sketch comedy who starred in the parody series “Mad TV” and “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” has died. She was 46.
Ash died Sunday in Los Angeles because of cancer, according to her publicist and a statement by her mother, Diann. “Erica was an amazing woman and talented entertainer who touched countless lives with her sharp wit, humor, and genuine zest for life. Her memory will live eternally in our hearts,” the statement said.
Ash impersonated Michelle Obama and Condoleezza Rice on “Mad TV,” a Fox sketch series, and was a key performer on the Rosie O’Donnell-created series “The Big Gay Sketch Show.” Her other credits included “Scary Movie V,” “Uncle Drew” and the LeBron James-produced basketball dramedy “Survivor’s Remorse.”
On the BET series “Real Husbands of Hollywood,” Ash played the ex-wife of Kevin Hart’s character. Ash told the Los Angeles Times in 2017 that for awhile, the only roles she was offered were similar to that character, but she wanted to have a more varied career.
“I want to make choices based on what I want to read about myself when I’m older. For me, it’s just about growing and moving forward,” she told the Times.
She appeared in the Broadway production “Baby It’s You” and a touring production of “The Lion King.”
Ash attended Emory University to study medicine but took a break and went to Japan, where she performed and modeled and her career flourished.
“One thing led to another, so I tell people I’m the Forrest Gump of my field. I just blindly, by faith, walked through life and said ‘yes’ to things that were presented to me, and it led me here,” Ash told the Times.
Chino XL was an actor, rapper, writer and motivational speaker.
Born Derek Emmanuel Barbosa, Chino XL is a New York based rapper who got his start in the music industry as a teenager. At age 16, Chino was signed to Rick Rubin's American Recordings label. By 1991, he had formed the rap duo Art of Origin with producer Kaoz. After the duo split, Chino XL released his debut solo album Here to Save You All featuring the lead single "Kreep" and collaborations with Ras Kass, Kool Keith and more.
The Puerto Rican rapper went on to release three more solo albums I Told You So (2001), Poison Pen (2006) and RICANstruction: The Black Rosary (2012). He also dropped a collaborative project with Playalitical called Something Sacred in 2008 and teamed up with Stu Bangas last year with their joint album God's Carpenter. He also just appeared on "Pendulum Swing" from Rakim's new album G.O.Ds NETWORK - REB7RTH.
In addition to his music career, Chino XL was also an actor. He landed roles in films like Kate Hudson and Luke Wilson's 2003 film Alex & Emma, and had several guest appearances on TV shows like "Reno 911" and "The Young & The Restless." Chino was also an author. He recently released three editions of his new, self-titled graphic novel series.

On Monday night, July 29, numerous artists and fans took to social media to mourn the loss of the New York City-born MC after the news broke. Joe Budden, A-F-R-O, Kxng Crooked, Skyzoo and others paid homage to the seasoned rapper. As of this report, the details behind his death are scarce and no cause of death has been confirmed.
He released his debut album Here to Save You All in 1996, which was released to critical acclaim. The lead single "Kreep" which featured an interpolation of the Radiohead song "Creep" experienced major airplay by radio and MTV. Kreep charted on the Billboard Bubbling Under R&B Chart for a record 23 weeks, from July 1996 to January 1997.
Chino was released from his American Recordings contract when American Recordings switched distributors from Warner to Columbia in 1997. Warner Bros. Records then signed Chino in the fall of 1997. His sophomore album was due to be released during April 1999 but numerous delays prevented the album from being released. Although in early 2001 when the album was about to be released and its lead single "Let 'Em Live" featuring Kool G Rap was nearing early pressing stages Chino was dropped by Warner, as they folded their Black music department, supposedly due to the public legal battle with Prince. The album, titled I Told You So, was eventually released in 2001 by Metro Records.
In 2006, Chino released his long-awaited third album, Poison Pen, featuring appearances by Proof of D-12, Killah Priest and hip hop duo The Beatnuts.
In 2007, Chino signed a contract with the Universal Latino label Machete Music.
In 2009 during a controversial interview with Allhiphop.com writer Han O'Connor, Chino revealed that his fifth studio album The RICANstruction was to be released soon.[needs update] The album was released via his own joint venture CPR/Universal and featured Immortal Technique, Tech N9ne, and Bun B. The RICANstruction also featured a collaboration with Big Pun. The album featured production from DJ Khalil and Focus served as executive producer.
On August 19, a song titled "N.I.C.E." that was produced by Nick Wiz was released.
On September 25, 2012, the album Ricanstruction: The Black Rosary was released as a double disc through Immortal Technique's Viper Records. It won the 2012 HHUG Album of the Year award.
