Ayman Mohyeldin does a MSNBC report on a Georgia woman who died in the 1/6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. The progressive agitator returns to his hometown to discuss the tragic case of Rosanne Boyland, a white extremist driven by Washed Up 45's lies on the election. He would end up inspiring her to travel to Washington, DC to protest the certification of Joe Biden. She would end up marching to the U.S. Capitol and participate in the insurrection.
Boyland would be hit with tear gas and struggled to breathe. Initially thought to be crushed in the stampede, Boyland had an amphetamine overdose.
The agitator talks about a former classmate who brought attention to Boyland. The former classmate and his wife know Boyland. The woman is the former classmate's sister.
There is a five part series from Mohyeldin talking about how this woman became radicalized by the rhetoric of the former president and his allies.
Washed Up 45 continues to push this farce about how he was robbed of an election victory.
Boyland like many of his supporters felt robbed. So going against her family's wishes, Boyland and a few friends headed to Washington, DC, to "Stop the Steal." She heard the former president rile up the crowd and urge them to descend on the Capitol to stop the certification.
Everything was good until she made it to the steps of the Capitol. When she was on the steps of the Capitol, tear gas was tossed by Capitol Police. Then of course, the crowd was pushed back, upon that push, they fell and crushed one another. Boyland was suffering a medical emergency and among that she was crushed by dozens of rioters.
Boyland would die at a local hospital. Her family blamed the former president and his allies for this.
Sen. Karen Cruz (R-TX) was forced to walk back his remarks about that day being a "terrorist attack."
Soon as he said those remarks, he sparked outrage among the far-right. Even Tuckems called him out for telling the Republicans that the incident sparked by Washed Up 45 was a terrorist attack.
He would appear on Fox to a skeptical Tuckems. The white nationalist dismissed Cruz's walk back.
An iconic actor and trailbreaker in civil rights has passed away.
President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, former president Barack Obama, former first lady Michelle Obama and many members of Hollywood were notified of his passing.
Man 2022 is off to a good start. Only one week ago, we lost Betty White, three weeks shy of her 100th birthday on December 31, 2021. Then we lost Max Julien who died on his 88th birthday.
Now Sidney Poitier.
Poitier, whose elegant bearing and principled onscreen characters made him Hollywood's first Black movie star and the first Black man to win the best actor Oscar, has died. He was 94.
Clint Watson, press secretary for the Prime Minister of the Bahamas, confirmed to CNN that Poitier died Thursday evening.
Poitier overcame an impoverished background in the Bahamas and softened his thick island accent to rise to the top of his profession at a time when prominent roles for Black actors were rare. He won the Oscar for 1963's "Lilies of the Field," in which he played an itinerant laborer who helps a group of White nuns build a chapel.
Many of his best-known films explored racial tensions as Americans were grappling with social changes wrought by the civil rights movement. In 1967 alone, he appeared as a Philadelphia detective fighting bigotry in small-town Mississippi in "In the Heat of the Night" and a doctor who wins over his White fiancée's skeptical parents in "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner."
Poitier's movies struggled for distribution in the South, and his choice of roles was limited to what White-run studios would produce. Racial taboos, for example, precluded him from most romantic parts. But his dignified roles helped audiences of the 1950s and 1960s envision Black people not just as servants but as doctors, teachers and detectives.
One of the greatest actors of all time.
At the same time, as the lone Black leading man in 1960s Hollywood, he came under tremendous scrutiny. He was too often hailed as a noble symbol of his race and endured criticism from some Black people who said he had betrayed them by taking sanitized roles and pandering to Whites.
"It's been an enormous responsibility," Poitier told Oprah Winfrey in 2000. "And I accepted it, and I lived in a way that showed how I respected that responsibility. I had to. In order for others to come behind me, there were certain things I had to do."

In 2009, President Obama awarded Poitier the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor, saying, "It's been said that Sidney Poitier does not make movies, he makes milestones ... milestones of artistic excellence, milestones of America's progress."
The Film Society of Lincoln Center bestowed its highest award on Poitier in 2011. Among the speakers praising him was filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, who said, "In the history of movies, there've only been a few actors who, once they gained recognition, their influence forever changed the art form.

There is no official word yet, but a far-right fabulist named Karen Nicosia of News Cycle Media is the one reporting it.
“Joy Reid will lose her 7p show in the next round of reshuffling at MSNBC,” Nicosia tweeted quoting a source. “She does not have a show come mid Spring.” He said the “decision has been made, the only thing left is messaging on the move, which will be ratings. Reid is a controversial media personality. Since joining the MSNBC primetime, Reid has covered issues from the Black perspective and it's riled up conservatives.
The folks over at Fox can't stand her. Mind you that Tuckems and Softball Hannity despise her with a passion. The 8pm host calls her the "race lady" and the annoying 9pm host often equates her by saying the network is sycophants to President Joe Biden.

The network quickly fired back saying that Reid has strong ratings. She's not going anywhere.
Reid on her part will probably not discuss her future with MSNBC. She will however, address the noise of the far-right on social media. She will likely hammer Nicosia and RedState.
Nicosia is an alleged con artist and felon who worked at Mediaite. He is a conservative agitator who is LGBTQ and is still pissed over The Reid Report, the defunct blog that the progressive agitator ran.
Back in the mid-2000s until 2013, Reid ran the blog. She mocked Republicans who were closeted gays.
The agitator apologized for the blog and was suspended briefly over it. She consulted with Jonathan Capehart and Rachel Maddow during the time to personally apologize about the past blog.
Reid has hosted progressive lawmakers, Black journalists and people in the news. She has done reasonably well despite the far-right and some on the left's criticisms.
As we begin the year 2022, we get the final jobs report for the year of 2021. The jobs report for December 2021. The president still dealing with an ongoing pandemic, opposition to his Build Back Better agenda and a party devoid of facts.
President Joe Biden's job approval is down because of his handling of the economy, the pandemic and every other domestic issue in the country. It's basically because of the opposition to vaccine mandates, Congress' failure to pass his agenda and the culture wars.

The economy added 199,000 jobs in December, the Labor Department reported Friday. That was the fewest jobs added in any month of 2021.
So for the 50 states, five territories and District of Columbia, there was a spread of jobs for 333.9 million Americans.
The unemployment rate fell to 3.9% in December, marking a new pandemic-era low. At the same time, the labor force participation rate was unchanged from November at 61.9%, still 1.5 percentage points lower than in February 2020.
The unemployment rate for White, Asian and Hispanic workers dropped in December, while joblessness increased for Black workers.
At year-end, the nation was still down 3.6 million jobs compared to before the pandemic, in February 2020.
Even so, 2021 will go down in history as a year of record-breaking jobs growth: America added 6.4 million jobs last year, the most since records started in 1939. Every single month brought jobs gains.
The leisure and hospitality industry led job gains with a modest 53,000 added, but the industry remains down 1.2 million positions compared with pre-pandemic times.
Professional and business services, manufacturing, construction and transportation and warehousing also added jobs last month.
Meanwhile, retail — which usually adds a lot of jobs going into the holiday period — showed a seasonally adjusted decline. That's because even though the sector did in fact hire more workers, the seasonal adjustment is based on the much bigger gains historically seen this time of year.
Together with the increase in warehousing and logistics jobs, these trends reflect how much consumer behavior has shifted online during the pandemic. And with Omicron posing a risk, online shopping likely won't be going out of fashion any time soon.

Things are slowly returning back to normal. However we're still not out of the woods yet. Over 78% of Americans have at least gotten one of the coronavirus vaccines. Around 135 million Americans refusing to be vaccinated which will lead to the coronavirus being resistant to vaccines. As it mutates into a deadly strain, folks who refuse to follow the CDC guidelines will eventually turn it into a super-pandemic in which those who come into contact with an infected asymptomatic person could trigger the mass destruction of the human race.
President Joe Biden had hopes that Americans would take this shit seriously. Unfortunately, Republicans so fucking eager to return to power will keep Americans fixated on the culture wars. Now vaccinations are part of this culture war.
But those fighting the culture war by not vaccinating, not wearing face mask in public, not following protocols, and deliberately ignoring federal and international rules when traveling are going to be the first casualties of the war.
With this pandemic mostly affecting states where Republican governors are, we may have to return to wearing facial protection and cutting back services to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
We came so far only to have a bunch of selfish idiots set it back. Just because they hate President Joe Biden.
Congress holds a vigil on the steps of the Capitol. The Democrats honor those who protected the Capitol. Republicans left town to strategize a plan to deflect.
Companies are still trying to hire employees. With the average wages stagnant, many are not looking forward to returning to a job that pays dirt wages. Many who worked in the retail, restaurant and low end service industry are not willing to take a job for less than $10 an hour.
Republicans don't see the bigger picture itself. They rather continue to believe in conspiracies about people collecting the safety net and not going back to work.
Give them a liveable wage and maybe things might improve in the job market.
We can't always assume that folks are lazy. People are literally dying from being overworked and folks are tired of the status quo of their jobs.
Many single mothers are having trouble trying to find quality daycare or family members to watch children. On top of that, some have lost family members due to the pandemic. A homemaker may have lost their spouse. Some may have no choice but to watch their children or loved ones due to the aftermath of the pandemic.
Folks are still trying to rebound from medical bills, late rent payments, owing taxes and college loans.
Republicans are white nationalists without a conscience. Washed Up 45's presidency and Republican controlled governments killed millions of Americans. President Joe Biden has a slim majority in Congress and things can't be done with obstruction from both parties.
Holding these lawmakers accountable is not just a pledge, but a promise. You need to learn who represents your community. Your local community member, your school board member, your mayor, your state representative, your state senator, your governor, your U.S. Representative, your U.S. Senator and the president need to be held accountable for their actions.
We need to put pressure on Republicans and Democrats to do something to improve everyone's lives.

The Democrats honor the fallen U.S. Capitol Police officers who died trying to save their lives. They said that the world will never forget this day of infamy. On Jan. 6, 2021, Congress issues a special session to certify the votes of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Washed Up 45 decided to instigate a mob to attack the U.S. Capitol. The former president's "fight like hell" inspired thousands of Americans to storm the house of democracy.
Who also had a role in this violent day?

The opinion hosts, the guests, the "straight news" reporters and of course, Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch are responsible for the insurrection as well.
Softball Hannity tries to blame Democrats for the insurrection.
Murdoch's role in American journalism and politics has been nothing more than toxic to the discourse of the country.
Damn shame, that the United States can't revoke Rupert's American citizenship and deport him back to Australia. And they can send Lachlan back to Great Britain as well. They're trash.
The network has downplayed the insurrection. They had spent a majority of the news day covering tabloid stories.
They are more concerned about how many staffers left Vice President Kamala Harris instead of the dozens of law enforcement agents who were left traumatized by events. They are more concerned about "liberal hypocrisy" when it comes to masks. They spent time covering Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) having a vacation in Florida not wearing a mask. They spent time covering the Chicago School vaccine mandate. White families are complaining about Lori Lightfoot's governance. They also spent time covering the Black token complaining about the mayor's response to violence in the third largest city. They even spent time attacking ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC and the newspapers for honoring the events.
Fox thinks it's hysteria.
I couldn't bear listening to Softball Hannity's right wing carnival. In the final hour of his crapfest, the agitator had a caller who literally dismissed the notion of the attack on the Capitol. She complained about Harris comparing the events to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.
The woman literally called Democrats and the two House Republicans who sided with them a bunch of traitors.
Fox Business did not cover President Joe Biden's speech. Nor did America's Voice, RT America and One America News Network.
Many of the opinion hosts and commentators spent a portion of their program hosting potential 2024 contenders downplaying the insurrection.
Florida's governor, Karen DeSantis decided to ignore the deadly attack by saying comparisons to 9/11 were an "insult to the people that were going into those buildings."
Republicans all but avoided the memorials and decided to focus on trying to keep their party and base of white extremists riled up with culture wars. And of course, Fox is leading the way to keeping the country stuck on stupid.
Ashli Babbitt was one of the four rioters who died on 1/6. She became a folk hero among white nationalists. Unfortunately, her life is seared in history.
I am reminded that the lies about Ashli Babbitt are being spread by Washed Up 45 and Republicans.
Babbitt, 35 was one of four people who died at the U.S. Capitol.
Rosanne Boyland, 34, of Kennesaw, Georgia, Kevin Greeson, 55, from Athens, Alabama, and Benjamin Philips, 50, of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
Boyland was a radicalized follower of QAnon whose family had begged her not to attend. Initially thought to have been trampled to death by the crowd, she was later confirmed to have died of an amphetamine overdose during the riot. Her death was classified as accidental by the D.C. medical examiner's office.
Greeson reportedly had a heart attack outdoors on the Capitol grounds, and was declared dead at 2:05 p.m., shortly before the breach of the Capitol. He had become a radicalized Washed Up 45 supporter in the preceding years; in December 2020, he declared: "Let's take this fucking Country BACK!! Load your guns and take to the streets!"
His family said he was "not there to participate in violence or rioting, nor did he condone such actions".
Philips was initially reported to have died of a stroke after splitting from his group at 10:30 in the morning. There is no indication that he had participated in the storming. Philips was the founder of Trumparoo.com, a social media page for Washed Up 45 supporters, and he made arrangements for fellow supporters to travel to D.C.
Greeson and Philips' deaths were later confirmed to be natural deaths from both coronary heart disease and hypertensive heart disease, ruled the D.C. medical examiner's office.
Their deaths were completely overshadowed. It was this woman who made the MAGA faithful more stronger and deadlier than ever.
The California woman who believed the lies and misinformation about the election went to Washington, DC to hear the former president speak. She heard the call for patriots to "take action" against a "rigged election."
She along with thousands of rioters attacked the U.S. Capitol. They sought to destroy the Electoral College, harm the former vice president Karen R. Pence and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California.
They entered the Capitol in an attempt to undermine democracy.
Many saw this a white privilege. Many saw this a domestic terrorism. Many saw this an attack on the very principles we thought we all have agreement towards.
I thought we we all united.
Unfortunately we are not. The junk food media, the lawmakers in Congress, the former vice president and many of Washed Up 45's allies and staffers knew that this was not going to end peacefully.
When the former president lost, it sparked outrage among the Republicans. How can a man who had huge crowds, a large social media presence and cultural appeal lose to a boring guy?
When 81 million people rejected Trumpism, the former president called it a "stolen election." He called upon his supporters to resist the results. He and his allies sued states to cancel votes. He said that many of the machines were rigged to give votes to Biden and not him.
He appeared on Fox, OANN, Newsmax and many other outlets saying that "Your Favorite President" was under attack, you must defend him.
Babbitt heard that call.
Babbitt owned a pool cleaning service in San Diego. She was a former military officer who served in the Afghanistan and Iraq. She was a huge supporter of the former president.
Kevin Greeson, Rosanne Boyland and Benjamin Philips died on that day. They died believing a bunch of grifters, liars and incompetent leaders. They were not rich. They never knew Washed Up 45 personally. They died being radicalized by extremism online.,
She was engaged in the lies of the internet.
Following a conspiracy theorist and a former lawyer, Babbitt was engaged in QAnon. The woman was on Twitter with the hashtag @CommonSenseAsh (now deleted). She often expressed frustration with Democrats, the junk food media and Republicans who didn't back the former president.
She wanted to hold the former vice president on trial for treason. Because Pence couldn't legal cancel out the electoral college, many of these people felt the former vice president betrayed Washed Up 45.
She tweeted on social media:
"Nothing can stop us ... they can try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours ... dark to light..."
The day of the insurrection, Babbitt and many of the supporters came to the House Speaker's lobby and were stopped at the door. They refused to back down. One rioter decided to break down windows.
As he broke down windows, the U.S. Capitol Police and U.S. Secret Service warned to stay back.
Babbitt didn't hear the warning and of course, the consequences came. She climbed through the window with the intention of trying to breach the bubble.
"Get back! Get down! Get out of the way!"
Moments later, Lt. Michael Byrd took aim and fired his service weapon at Babbitt. The woman dropped to the ground. She tried to get back up and murmured "I'm alright" before grabbing her neck.

The officer shot the woman. I remember that day. I watched it on MSNBC. As Andrea Mitchell, Chuck Todd and Katy Tur were discussing the breach, Tur had saw the paramedic wheel a bloodied woman from the Capitol.
The Drudge Report stated that "SHOTS FIRED" with a picture of the U.S. Capitol. I got word that a person was shot inside the Capitol.
The Capitol Police had no choice but to stop the threat.
Come to find out that the woman was shot. Babbitt died at a local hospital. She was not armed, but given that the Capitol Police and Secret Service were notified that rioters had weapons, they had no choice in the matter. Many of those rioters may have showed up with phones and fists, others showed up with weapons that could kill.
Babbitt's life ended on 1/6/2021. Her death sparked conspiracies about how the government murdered a citizen. The former president and many Republicans honor this woman over the hundreds of law enforcement members who were hurt trying to protect their asses.
This woman is not a hero. She is not a martyr to freedom.
It was a horrible day in history.
Babbitt didn't accomplish her goal to "own the libs." She died on a lie. She wasn't rich. She wasn't famous or even an elected politician. She was a regular American who served a tour of duty to protect the country. Once out, she started to question her country. She felt that fair election results was a lie and she didn't trust her country. Babbitt felt that her country was going downhill. She heard the call of a grifter, a conman, an idiot who got lucky by the whim of an electoral college victory and foreign meddling. Even though a pandemic, she would risk her health and safety to stand for a man she never met in her life.
She heard the call of a group of individuals who make millions off of radio, internet and television appearances. A group of people who profited from her death. And it's sad that this white woman used her privilege. That card cost her her life.
Ashli Babbitt is no hero. She was a domestic terrorist. No amount of good can polish the woman and thousands of rioters who wanted to overthrow democracy because the former president lost an election.

This event happened on the afternoon of a Joint Session of Congress to certify the results of the 2020 election. A mob of the former president's supporters stormed the Capitol to stop the certification and harm House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California and the vice president at the time, Karen R. Pence.

"For the first time in our history, a President had not just lost an election. He tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power as a violent mob reached the Capitol," Biden said in a speech from the US Capitol that lasted just under 30 minutes. "But they failed. They failed. And on this day of remembrance, we must make sure that such an attack never, never happens again."
In a direct shot at Washed Up 45, Biden added, "His bruised ego matters more to him than our democracy or our Constitution, he can't accept he lost."
Biden has typically avoided speaking directly about his predecessor since taking office, and pointedly did not say his name on Thursday -- instead making more than a dozen references to "the former President."
Harris says the insurrection was a day of infamy.
But the president's blistering speech nonetheless confronted Washed Up 45's election lies and post-presidency behavior, accusing him of spreading falsehoods about the 2020 election, refusing to accept defeat and holding him accountable for inciting a violent mob of his supporters to storm the US Capitol.
"A former President of the United States of America has created and spread a web of lies about the 2020 election. He's done so because he values power over principle, because he sees his own interest as more important than his country's interest and America's interest," Biden said.
Biden again emphasized the core message of his 2020 presidential campaign and the reason why he ran against Washed Up 45: "We are in a battle for the soul of America."
The President warned democracy and the "promise of America" is at risk and called on the American public to "stand for the rule of law, to preserve the flame of democracy."
He called for protecting voting rights across the nation and blasted Trump and his supporters for attempting to "suppress your vote and subvert our elections."
"It's wrong. It's undemocratic. And frankly it's un-American," Biden said.
Republicans know that their role in this moment in history will never be erased. They will continue to distract us from this day of infamy. The Republicans continue to play upon culture wars and deliberate attempts to undermine democracy. They will continue this charade of misinformation and deflection from the truth.
They continue this deadly reign of hate, distortion and division.
We must be absolutely clear: The time is now to stop the smears. Stop the lies. Stop the hate. Time to restore democracy from the disease of white supremacy.

He and another terrorist had got put of a Mercedes Benz and shot into the store. They struck Dolph eight times. The entertainer was dead at the scene.
Police issued a warrant for the terrorist for first-degree murder. Johnson also has a warrant for violation of federal supervised release.
According to law enforcement, terrorist is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall weighing about 190 pounds. He also has the name “Jaiya” tattooed on his right arm.
U.S. Marshals are offering up to $10,000 and MPD and Crime Stoppers are offering up to $2,500 for terrorist's arrest. He has also been added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s “Most Wanted” list.

He had three albums reach the top 10 on the Billboard 200, with 2020′s “Rich Slave” peaking at No. 4. He was 36 when he was killed.

This terrorist was arrested on a warrant accusing him of being the gunman in a recent shooting at Billy Hardwick's All-Star Lanes, a popular East Memphis bowling alley, Memphis police announced.
The shooting in 2017 left four people with non-critical injuries.
Police said a crowd had begun to fight inside the lobby and that the terrorist left the business, went to a vehicle, retrieved a gun, returned to the front door of the bowling alley and began shooting into the business.
A warrant had been issued for the terrorist on charges including counts of attempted murder. Police Lt. Karen Rudolph confirmed the arrest Friday but said she didn't have details.
The bowling alley has said it plans to take safety precautions, including adding more security guards.
"We take the safety of our customers and employees very seriously and in the 35 years we have been in business, nothing like this has ever happened," the business said in a statement after the shooting.

A woman stabbed another inside the deli of ShopRite.
A New Jersey woman is facing attempted murder, aggravated assault and possession of a deadly weapon.
It sparked over an argument between two workers. The woman, 57, allegedly stabbed her co-worker a half-a-dozen times with the "largest knife in the deli" while screaming "you will finally leave me alone today."
The suspect allegedly stabbed the veteran employee, who has not been named, around 3:45pm on Sunday until staff from the ShopRite had to restrain her. The attack was reportedly the result of a years-long feud between the two. It finally led to violence.
Now she is facing up to 50 years in the iron college for this. The Clark Police Department said the suspect stabbed the victim because of alleged bullying.
"The stabbing happened in front of customers, but no assisted immediately because everyone was shocked," said an anonymous worker.
"It was terrible" said Pamela Gennaro, who wrote on social media.
"It was very hard to be there while people yelling to call 9-1-1 and for everything that followed. That poor person. Very sad situation and very disturbing."
The ShopRite management may have failed to discipline these two when the tensions were boiling.
They both worked there for years and it had to be some one who know that their dispute was more than a minor cut in the meat. It literally was driven by jealousy.

In all, 16 of the 24 House Democrats to announce they will not run for re-election are retiring from public life, while four are running for the US Senate and four others are running for other offices.
So far, 12 House Republicans have announced they are also not seeking another two-year term.
