Americans can't get necessary child care in this pandemic. Mothers are struggling to take care of their children. Daycares are closing due to the pandemic. Many daycares are being overworked because of the pandemic.

First things first, Congress wants Americans to get back to work. We are dealing with a worker shortage. Many Americans are not going to work for less than $35,000 a year. They want better wages, affordable healthcare, better roads and bridges, better lighting, harsher penalties for theft of catalytic converters, safer work conditions, workable hours, easy access to the safety net and less partisanship in Washington, DC.

I want lawmakers to do their jobs. I don't want lawmakers who act like activists. I don't want lawmakers who stall legislation but take credit for it when it benefits their constituents. I want the U.S. to aid countries in need of assistance only in natural disasters. I don't want the American taxpayer to fund other countries or nation build. I want the U.S. to get control of the pandemic which has killed over 720,000 Americans.

What happens when you catch the coronavirus and you're in the hospital? 

What happens when you're the only one able to pay the bills, feed the children and work?

What happens when one or both parents die from the coronavirus?

What happens when you have to stay home because your job cut hours and requires you to work at difficult times when you're needed to take of your children?

Did you know that your tax dollars are funding Israel?

The American support of Israel is controversial. Many lawmakers often equate Israel with Judaism and often are lockstep in supporting that country no matter what it does. It is been the center of conflict in the Middle East and progressives are calling out members for their willingness to pay for Israel's defense while denying Americans the "safety net."

I am sick of it. I am sick of lawmakers willing to spend billions on another country. The very same folks who hate migrants from the Northern Triangle countries, Afghanistan and Haiti are willing to put your tax dollars into funding a country that has nuclear weapons, a series of propaganda to sway Americans and the relentless victimhood. 

Everytime you criticize Israel, the Republicans and some of the Democrats are quick to call you anti-Semitic. 

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) are two members of the House Progressive Caucus and the so-called Squad. They along with Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN) are Muslim.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) voted against funding the Iron Dome. Joined in their opposition were Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), Rep. Chuy Garcia (D-IL), Rep. Marie Newman (D-IL), Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN), Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-TX) and Rep. Karen Massie (R-KY). 

Georgia Democrat Hank Johnson and New York Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez voted "present."

The two women are very critical of the U.S. and Israeli alliance. They believe the U.S. is aiding genocide of the Palestinian people. Israel has been blocking aid to the Gaza Strip and deliberately building settlements in the Golan Heights and in East Jerusalem. These actions are condemned by the United Nations and many other supporting nations.

The UN can't impose sanctions on Israel because of the United States, United Kingdom, France and Spain. They seem to be embolden to allowing Israel to do whatever it wants despite the human rights violations and war crimes committed by the Israeli Defence Force. 

The Iron Dome Missile Shield is active whenever rockets are fired near Tel Aviv.

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), QAnon Leader Karen McCarthy (R-CA), Obstruction Leader Karen McConnell (R-KY) and about 86% of the Congress supports Israel (no matter what it does).

Congressional Democrats initially wanted to pass the Iron Dome funding in a continuing resolution on Wednesday. But because the legislation contained a debt ceiling increase Republicans refused to vote for it. That left Democrats with just a three-vote margin for error. When a handful of progressive lawmakers objected to the Iron Dome funding, Democrats were forced to pull the provision from the bill in order to ensure its passage along party lines. 

The vote came after a contentious exchange on the House floor in which Tlaib said, "We cannot top be talking only about Israelis need for safety at a time when Palestinians are living under a violent apartheid system."

That prompted an outraged response from Rep. Karen Fleischmann (R-TN).

"I ask the majority to condemn the comments that were just made by their member," Fleischmann said. 

Rep. Ted Deutch (D-FL) obliged. 

"I cannot allow one of my colleagues to stand on the floor of the House of Representatives and label the Jewish democratic state of Israel an apartheid state," he said. "I reject it." 

Deutch said that Tlaib's statement was "consistent with those who advocate for the dismantling of the Jewish state." 

Public opinion is wavering with Israel though. More younger, people of color and well-educated Americans disapprove of funding Israel in military defense and building of settlements.

The moralists, whites, Republicans, conservative-leaning voters, Islamophobes and warmongers support giving Israel the billions.

Lives are interrupted again by gun violence.

Praying does not stop gun violence.

Stop offering your thoughts and prayers. It's not going to bring people back. This is a man-made issue and Congress can do something about it by passing laws to keep firearms out of the hands of potential terrorists. This is the 613th mass shooting. This is the one that made national headlines.

One thing that never stops is the endless cycle of gun violence in the United States. Every incident doesn't make the national news. Mass shootings happened at schools, churches and grocery stores. Police shooting unarmed suspects. Armed suspects shooting police officers. Threats led by domestic terrorists and of course foreign terrorism.

One element that always seem to factor in the matter: GUNS.

Mass shooting at a suburban Memphis Kroger. A former employee opened fire on shoppers killing one and injuring two dozen people. The terrorist would end up killing himself. 

The Shelby County Sheriff, Collierville Police and FBI are trying to figure out how this incident happened.

Of course, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Karen Lee, Sen. Karen Blackburn (R-TN) and Sen. Karen Hagerty (R-TN) as well as Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) were notified of the mass shooting.

They offer "thoughts and prayers" to the matter. Saying their "hearts goes out to the victims." Saying that evil exists and whatever platitude can be found in the "phony sympathy" playbook.

The only victim identified so far is Olivia King. She was killed as the terrorist opened fire at the exit.

"Our family is devastated by this senseless act of violence. We ask that you pray for the repose of the soul of our mother, Olivia King," a statement by the family read. "We also ask everyone for their prayers for all families and friends affected by the events today, as well as for God’s mercy on the shooter and his family. Thank you."

Her sons spoke out on the loss of their mother. They paid tribute to her on social media.

In the meanwhile, the chief of Collierville Police expressed shock and anger at the terrorist.

Collierville police Chief Dale Lane said responding officers and a SWAT team entered the supermarket and went aisle to aisle to rescue employees – some of whom were hiding in the store's freezer. 

"I've been involved in this for 34 years and I've never seen a scene like this," Lane said, calling it "the most horrific event in Collierville history." 

Tennessee is an open carry state. The shooter had legal rights to carry inside Kroger.

Police said 44 employees were in the store at the time of the shooting, though it was unclear how many customers were inside. Lane said an image circulating on social media, showing someone on the store's roof, was later determined to be that of a Kroger employee. 

The Collierville Police Department originally received a call regarding an active shooter at Kroger at around 1:30 p.m., authorities said. Kroger employee Brignetta Dickerson said she was working the cash register Thursday when shots rang out.

"And, here he comes right behind us and started shooting," Dickerson told Nashville's WKRN-TV.

"And, he kept on shooting, shooting, shooting. He shot one of my co-workers in the head and shot one of my customers in the stomach."

Emergency medical personnel from the Collierville Fire Department arrived to assist with providing medical aid. The injured victims were transferred to area hospitals. 

At least one victim was in surgery and another was in the ICU, Lane said. Another person arrived at a hospital with an anxiety attack, he added.

"We are deeply saddened by the incident that occurred at our Kroger store," the company said in a statement. "The entire Kroger family offers our thoughts, prayers, and support to the individuals and families of the victims during this difficult time."

The company said it has initiated counseling services for its employees. The store will remain closed during the police investigation.

Collierville High School was put on lockdown amid the shooting but that precaution was later lifted. 

Months ago, the police department hosted an active shooter training scenario with law enforcement partners, Lane said. 

"The victims were able to get medical treatment much faster because of the integration between police and fire," he said. "It’s one thing to see it on the news, but it’s another thing when you’re having to go in and know that there a potential person armed on the other side."

"And there was not one person that didn’t [go in]," Lane added. "That building was flooded with blue uniforms and I’m very thankful for that."

Multiple law enforcement agencies were on scene, including the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and the Memphis Police Department, who helped secure the perimeter. Also assisting with the investigation were personnel from the FBI and from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF).

Memphis police, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, and Kroger all referred questions to the Collierville Police Department. 

Collierville police said the scene was now secure and search warrants will be carried out. Lane declined to reveal more about the suspect Thursday night, citing the ongoing investigation. 

"It's going to take a little bit before we know what happened," Lane said.

We haven't forgotten about the many mass shootings in the United States. COVID-19 doesn't stop individuals from picking up firearms and killing others.

And I am getting fucking tired of white nationalists and their enablers of color complaining about the lack of Black fathers. The fathers are either killed by gun violence, police violence, COVID-19, heart diseases, diabetes, freak accidents and just being Black in America.

The last and most polarizing press secretary of Washed Up 45's single term is claiming that the current president deserves blame for criminal activity in 2020. 

Karen McEnany is the most dumbest woman on the fucking planet. The former press secretary and political agitator is such a blonde. I meant a fake blonde. 

When a reporter for the New York Times reported the rise in crime spiked in 2020, the former press secretary tweeted her disgust at the current president.

Under the tweet, "The U.S. Murder Rate Under Joe Biden." The tweet was quickly deleted when folks quickly pointed out that her old boss was the president in 2020 and of course, his role in the COVID-19 pandemic also led to a rise in crime. If you ask me, folks should criminally charge him for murder because he failed to tell the public that the coronavirus has made it to the United States.

There was no correction nor an apology. It's just a delete and move on to the next concern.

The U.S. murder rate, defined by the number of murders per 100,000 people, still remains lower than the all-time peak in the 1990s. 

It's a crime to look like this.

The data show that 77% of the murders in 2020 were committed with firearms, The Times said, reporting that the rise in murders was not driven by any particular regions but was nationwide. Overall crime, however, slightly declined.

McEnany, who served as press secretary from April 2020 to the end of the Washed Up 45's presidency, was accused many times of stretching the truth or outright lying from the podium. 

She was one of the 50 White House staffers to join Washed Up 45 in testing positive for the coronavirus.

On day one, the President of the United States holds responsibility. Everything done from January 20th 12:00pm to January 20th, 11:59am in the fourth year of a term is held to the incumbent. Post the 22th Amendment, the president has to serve two terms. 

Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama managed to serve two complete terms. 

The current president, Joe Biden is expected to face a challenge going into 2024. With the possibility of Washed Up 45 running again, Biden must prove to the world that he is capable of governing with these toxic lawmakers in Congress. 

The idiots on Fox who led the way for Washed Up 45 baseless claims. The pandemic and the insurrection are being downplayed because of fickle memories from the unvaccinated idiots who Biden is solely at fault for the problems of the former president. The Republicans are hoping that for once they won't be blamed for the possible government shutdown. They want to blame Democrats for everything even though they're the ones stalling most of the progress.

We have a fucking pandemic and these idiots are still partisan and more divisive than ever.

The junk food media sure loves drama. They want the chaos and division. It is good for ratings. The Democrats still support the president. However his ratings are going down fast. Thanks to the four weeks of non stop coverage of Afghanistan and the migrant crisis in the Northern Triangle and Haiti, the Republicans and junk food media seized on Biden's handling of the country. As many Americans are further divided over politics, the culture wars here in the country are getting worse. The resistance for Americans to get vaccinated has now led the deaths of 720,000. Inflation has food and gas prices going up.

The jobs are available but folks are not willing to work for less. So calls for better health regulations, a fair living wage, child care, paid time off for families, immigration reform and making voting easier and Election Day a federal holiday are on the table. It's still being stalled. The president's major campaign promises are dying before his eyes.

Anyway, the Democrats are getting closer to doing President Joe Biden's agenda without the support of Republicans. They are getting very upset at the slow walking from Republicans and even a handful of notable Democratic members in the House and Senate.

Just this week, Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) had to end talks with Sen. Karen Scott (R-SC) over police reform. The South Carolina Republican is African American and an enabler of white nationalism kept pushing back the compromise on the George Floyd Policing Act.

On top of that, they are likely not able to get the votes to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act and the For The People's Act, which would have reformed voting. Republicans are trying to pass more restrictive laws at the state level to appease Washed Up 45's false claims that the election was stolen.

The infrastructure bill and raising the debt ceiling are stalled. Funding the government for the fiscal year is also being stalled. 

Given another powerful hurricane is likely to hit the United States, infrastructure is definitely needed.

But even the Republicans are opposed to this. Given that their states suffer the worst of the natural disasters, they're not willing to spend money.

The stalling of the debt ceiling could lead to the government to default on debts. The stalling of funding the government could led to a government shutdown which affects 4 to 10 million government workers. 

The Republicans won't support the packages. Their goal is to distract the public with culture wars and opposition to Biden's agenda. They seek to retake Congress despite their role in the 1/6 insurrection. They hoping that Americans are fickle about the role in the pandemic and the misinformation campaign in regards to their handling of the economy.

We are close to passing the American Jobs Plan. The Build Back Better package that is somewhat bipartisan. 

The 17 Republicans senators joined the 48 Democrats and two independents in passing the bipartisan bill. The bill could be defeated by the House Democrats in the Progressive Caucus. They want the stand alone bill which includes $3.5 trillion to be included. That bill is being stalled by Sen. Karen Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Karen Sinema (D-AZ).

The Democrats have frustration with the members. 

However, I don't believe the Democrats are willing to allow Americans suffer. The Democrats need to get their acts together. For the sake of the nation, stop worrying about spending. Stop worrying about the Republicans whining and crying about socialism. 

Put a cap on the media appearances of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Sen. Karen Manchin (D-WV), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).

These lawmakers do not represent the Democratic Party as a whole. They are distractions and the junk food media will devote coverage to these extremists. 

We already had enough of Rep. Idiot Karen Greene (R-GA) and the rest of them white nationalists.

The iconic filmmaker Melvin Van Peebles has passed away at the age of 89. He was a trailblazing African-American director who helped champion a new wave of Black cinema in the 1970s.

He was the father of actor/director Mario Van Peebles. 

Mario shared his thoughts on his father on social media.

"Dad knew that Black images matter. If a picture is worth a thousand words, what was a movie worth? We want to be the success we see, thus we need to see ourselves being free," Van Peebles said. "True liberation did not mean imitating the colonizer's mentality. It meant appreciating the power, beauty and interconnectivity of all people."

Van Peebles movie credits include Watermelon Man and Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song.

He was also an accomplish author, playwright and advocate for independent filmmakers.

The Criterion Collection and Janus Films also wrote in praise of Melvin's works.


"In an unparalleled career distinguished by relentless innovation, boundless curiosity and spiritual empathy, Melvin Van Peebles made an indelible mark on the international cultural landscape through his films, novels, plays and music," the statement read.

"His work continues to be essential and is being celebrated at the New York Film Festival this weekend with a 50th anniversary screening of his landmark film 'Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song,' a Criterion Collection box set, Melvin Van Peebles: Essential Films, next week; and a revival of his play 'Ain't Supposed to Die a Natural Death,' slated for a return to Broadway next year."

Born Melvin Peebles in Chicago, his father was a tailor. Melvin graduated with a B.A. in literature from Ohio Wesleyan University and thirteen days later joined the Air Force and served for three and a half years.

After his stint in the Air Force, he thought about writing and filming. He would do his first film, Pickup Men for Herrick in 1957 which earned him praise for his works. Melvin is an actor, director, playwright, novelist, composer and father of three.

He was married to his wife Maria Marx and had three children. His son Mario is an actor, director and producer. He other children his late daughter Megan Van Peebles and son Max Van Peebles.

Fred Savage, Saladin K. Patterson and Lee Daniels executive produce the series.

ABC premieres the Lee Daniels and Fred Savage reboot of The Wonder Years. The two collaborated in the past and now are working as executive producers of this coming-of-age comedy-drama. 

Created by Saladin K. Patterson, inspired by 1988 series by Neal Marlens and Carol Black. 

The series is executive produced by Saladin K. Patterson, Lee Daniels, Marc Velez and Fred Savage.

The production comes from 20th Television and Lee Daniels Entertainment.

The Wonder Years is set in the late 1960s and takes a nostalgic look at the Williams family, a Black family living in Montgomery, Alabama, through the point of view of an imaginative 12-year old Dean.

The show stars Elisha "EJ" Williams who plays Dean Williams and narrated by Don Cheadle, who is an older Dean.

It also stars Saycon Sengbloh as Lillian Williams, Dean's mother; Dulé Hill, as Bill Williams, Dean's father; Laura Kariuki as Kim Williams, Dean's sister; Julian Lerner as Brad Hitman, Dean's friend; Amari O'Neill as Cory Long, Dean's friend; Milan Ray as Keisa Clemmons, the apple of Dean's eye; and Allen Maldonado as Coach Long, a basketball coach.

The story of a 12-year old boy living in a middle class neighborhood.

ABC announced they were planning a reboot of The Wonder Years in July 2020. Savage was attached to direct episodes and will be executive producer of the series. Filming took place in Atlanta.

The show will tackle major events from 1968, including the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The series premiere of The Wonder Years starts at 8:30pm right after The Goldbergs.
