Ohio joins the other Republican-led states in removing the mask mandate.

Ohio governor Mike DeWine has announced that he will lift the health mandates and return to normal capacity on June 2. The governor also said that Ohioans must keep the vaccination rates up so he won't impose any more health mandates.

He also announced that Ohioans must be very cautious from this point.

"It’s time to end the health orders. It’s been a year," DeWine said. "You’ve followed the protocols. You’ve done what we’ve asked. You’ve bravely fought this virus. And now, our cases are down, and we have a tested and proven weapon in the vaccine that all Ohioans 12 and over can utilize." 

DeWine said that private companies can still enforce mask mandates if they choose.

The announcement means, beginning June 2, Ohioans will no longer be required to wear facial coverings and follow social distancing guidelines. It also puts an end to capacity restrictions at indoor and outdoor events. 

Safety guidelines will remain in effect for nursing homes and assisted living facilities, DeWine said, adding the outcome will depend on continued data from the state.

 DeWine announced a series of statewide drawings to incentivize receiving a shot.

The governor made the announcement Wednesday during his statewide address where he announced the state’s health orders would be lifted on June 2.

Ohioans under the age of 18 who are eligible to receive the vaccine will be entered into a drawing for a four-year full scholarship to any of Ohio’s state colleges and universities. This would include full tuition, room and board.

DeWine said a website will be set up for those eligible to register beginning May 18.

There will also be a weekly drawing for a $1 million prize for Ohioans 18 and older every week.

The pool of names for the “Ohio Vax-a-Million” drawing will come from the Ohio Secretary of State’s public voter registration database. There will also be a webpage available for people to sign up if they are not in the database.

“I know that some may say, ‘DeWine, you’re crazy! This million-dollar drawing idea of yours is a waste of money.’ But truly, the real waste at this point in the pandemic -- when the vaccine is readily available to anyone who want it -- is a life lost to COVID-19,” DeWine said.

DeWine says there will be a total of five weekly drawings, done on Wednesdays, for each prize with the first winners being announced on May 26.

Any winners must have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by the date of each respective drawing.

These drawings will be handled by the Ohio Department of Health with assistance from the Ohio Lottery Commission. The funding will come from existing federal Coronavirus Relief Funds.

More information and contest rules will be announced next week.

Ohio joins Indiana, Florida, Texas, South Carolina, Idaho, North Dakota, Mississippi, Arizona, Louisiana, New Hampshire, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Utah, Tennessee, Wyoming, Iowa, Arkansas,Wisconsin, South Dakota and Montana in lifting the mask mandates.

Folks, again take this shit seriously. When vaccinations are over 60% of the American public, then the pandemic could come to an end.

White people, Republican voters and religious extremists do not take this shit seriously. They will regret it.

We have lost over 620,000 Americans to the coronavirus. Americans are slowly returning back to normal life. 

Had Washed Up 45 took on the challenge of coronavirus pandemic, we would not be in this mess.

President Joe Biden deserves all the credit in getting vaccines to the states. He deserves credit for helping Americans in the short term with the American Rescue Plan and pushing forward on getting the infrastructure bill passed.

DeWine will likely win reelection given his careful approach. He is one of the few Republicans who said he will work with Biden to make sure America is on the right path.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show or commonly known as Ellen is the No. 1 daytime talk show in syndication. It appears that after the 19th season, the show will be coming to an end.

Last year's bombshell story about her ignoring the toxic environment  ruined her "Be Kind to One Another" trademark. It took her ratings down. The pandemic did not help much either.

Ellen had talked with wife Portia De Rossi. She privately discussed the future of the daytime show. 

With the ratings dropping and the pandemic cutting her audience to just television monitors, Ellen felt it was time to wrap up the show.

Telepictures (WarnerMedia), Warner Bros. Television and Ellen's A Very Good Productions confirm that the 19th season which will begin in Fall 2021 will be the final season.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published Wednesday, DeGeneres said "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" was no longer a challenge for her.

"When you’re a creative person, you constantly need to be challenged — and as great as this show is, and as fun as it is, it’s just not a challenge anymore," she said.

The formal announcement for the show's ending is expected to happen during Thursday's monologue, where DeGeneres calls the program the "greatest experience" of her life, according to a preview provided to NBC News.

"You may wonder why I’ve decided to end after 19 seasons," DeGeneres writes. "The truth is I’ve always trusted my instincts. And my instinct told me it’s time."

Rocked by scandals, The Ellen DeGeneres Show tanked in ratings.

When "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" began in 2003, DeGeneres' career was struggling after a then-controversial decision to come out as openly gay on her 1990s sitcom "Ellen." But the talk show helped skyrocket the comedienne to an empire of brands, becoming a household name as families tuned in across the world to view the internationally syndicated series.

Fans will still have a relationship with DeGeneres, she assured, even after she says goodbye to the Burbank set that has been home to her show for nearly two decades.

"I promise you that we’re going to have a fantastic final season," DeGeneres continues in her monologue. "It will be a season where I truly get to say 'Thank You.' Every day will be a celebration. There will be lots of surprises, some trips down memory lane and a few detours through 'Why Did I Wear That Alley.'"

DeGeneres, 63, and the show’s producers have come under intense scrutiny in recent months after news reports detailed an allegedly toxic workplace.

In a report published by BuzzFeed News last July, anonymous former employees accused the show’s executive producers of harassment and claimed they experienced a culture of racism, fear and intimidation.

In response, WarnerMedia — the parent company of Warner Bros. Television, which co-produces and distributes the show — launched an investigation. DeGeneres apologized to the staff and three top producers parted ways with the show.

“I learned that things happen here that never should have happened,” DeGeneres said in the debut episode of the show’s 18th season in September. “I take that very seriously, and I want to say I am so sorry to the people who were affected.”

DeGeneres is set to sit down with "TODAY" co-anchor Savannah Guthrie for an interview airing Thursday morning.

Ellen isn't gone for good. She will probably executive produce a talk show replacement.

In the wake of the BuzzFeed report, NBC News spoke to multiple former staffers who corroborated at least some of the accusations of misconduct by senior management, but they said they could not speak publicly because they were bound by nondisclosure agreements and feared retribution.

“The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” which premiered in September 2003, was a ratings success for much of its run. The show was known for its celebrity pranks, gift giveaways and its host's signature dance moves.

But over the last several months, as the comedian and her crew faced mounting criticism, viewership numbers started to slip.

The scrutiny on DeGeneres represented another chapter in the entertainment industry’s reckoning with allegedly toxic behind-the-scenes behavior from film sets to executive suites.

It was also a stark reversal for a host with a family-friendly image — and a show that went by the motto "Be Kind."

In addition to her talk show, DeGeneres hosts a game show that airs on NBC, "Ellen's Game of Games." (NBC News and the NBC broadcast network share NBCUniversal as a parent company.)

The Republican Party removed Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) from the leadership position because she was not supporting the Big Lie. The white nationalist lawmaker and daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney was ousted by a vote of vocal "yea" and "ney."

She defiantly insisted she'll steer the party away from Washed Up 45 and his "destructive lies."

Meeting behind closed doors, GOP lawmakers needed less than 20 minutes and a voice vote to oust the Wyoming congresswoman from her job as their No. 3 House leader. The banishment, urged by Washed Up 45 and other top Republicans, showed his ability to upend the careers of antagonists, even those from GOP royalty.

Cheney was among 10 Republican House members who voted to impeach Washed Up 45. The former president instigate a mob to attack the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. 

The white nationalists in the Republican Party continue to kick this notion that "socialism" is here. They are pushing the narrative that the southern border is in a crisis. They are calling for arrest of Black Lives Matter and Antifa protesters. They are pushing for more firearms in schools, churches, grocery stores and public buildings. They are pushing for bans on critical race theory. They are pushing for bans on transgender children playing in gender identified sports. They are calling critics of the latest Israeli attacks on Palestine, anti-Semitic. They are passing legislation making harder for Americans to vote in the U.S. 2022 and 2024 elections. They are still promoting the lie that Washed Up 45 actually won the presidential election. They are claiming that President Joe Biden is taxing all Americans.They are also not willing to work with Biden on pushing forth a bipartisan agenda. 

Cheney talks to Savannah Guthrie on the ouster. She vows to oppose Washed Up 45 if he runs again.

For Cheney, she will oppose Biden's agenda but she will at least acknowledge he is the legitimate president.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) went to the White House to greet and discuss their plans with the president and Vice President Kamala Harris.

The two walked out with the intentions of not supporting anything Biden is promoting.

On top of that McCarthy invokes former president Jimmy Carter as a reason to the foreign hacking of the Colonial Pipeline which crippled the pipeline. The pipeline closure has impacted the Northeast and South. 

McCarthy was key in ousting Cheney. He made it clear on Fox to Maria Bartiromo and Steve Doocy that Republicans are no longer convinced that Cheney is capable of leading the party into the Midterms.

Cheney fired back against McCarthy.

 “If you want leaders who will enable and spread his destructive lies, I'm not your person," she told her colleagues before the vote, according to a person who provided her remarks on condition of anonymity. "You have plenty of others to choose from. That will be their legacy."

Just minutes after she accused her fellow Republicans of dishonestly buttressing Washed Up 45, McCarthy, told reporters at the White House,"I don’t think anybody is questioning the legitimacy of the presidential election. I think that is all over with."

McCarthy spoke a week after Washed Up 45 released a statement saying, "The Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020 will be, from this day forth, known as THE BIG LIE!"

Cheney's critics say her offense wasn't her view of Washed Up 45 but her persistence in publicly expressing it, undermining the unity they want party leaders to display in advance of next year’s elections, when they hope to win House control. Several also say GOP voters allegiance to Washed Up 45 means the party’s electoral prospects without him would be dismal.

Cheney's ouster effectively means the GOP is setting a remarkable requirement for admission to its highest ranks: adherence to, or at least silence about, Washed Up 45's fallacious claim about widespread voting fraud. In states around the country, officials and judges of both parties found no evidence to support his assertions.

Cheney, 54, would seem to have an uphill climb in her quest to redirect the GOP away from Washed Up 45.

She's told Republicans she's not quitting Congress and will run for reelection next year, but she will have to survive a near-certain GOP primary challenge from a Washed Up 45-recruited opponent. Even if she returns to the House, it is unclear how loud her voice will be inside a party that has all but disowned her.

And though she has establishment lineage and embraces classical GOP conservative stances, it almost seems the party has evolved out from under her.

Polls show Washed Up 45's hold is deep and wide on the party’s voters. And many of the time-tested conservative views she and her father share — including a belief in assertively projecting U.S. military force abroad — have lost ground to Washed Up 45's inward-focused America First agenda.

Even so, Cheney showed no signs of being bashful about her mission.

Outside the GOP meeting, she told reporters that the country needs a Republican Party "that is based upon fundamental principles of conservatism, and I am committed and dedicated to ensuring that that’s how this party goes forward, and I plan to lead the fight to do that."

She added, "I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again gets anywhere near the Oval Office."

Wednesday's voice vote by House Republicans means there is no precise way to measure how much support Cheney would have had, though only a handful of GOP colleagues have spoken out on her behalf.

"What happened today was sad," said Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL), another Washed Up 45 critic and one of the few Republicans who have publicly defended her. "Liz committed the only sin of being consistent and telling the truth. The truth is that the election was not stolen."

Hard-right conservatives, among Cheney's fiercest critics, were exultant.

And Washed Up 45 himself took a sharp-elbowed victory lap, saying, "Liz Cheney is a bitter, horrible human being. I watched her yesterday and realized how bad she is for the Republican Party. She has no personality or anything good having to do with politics or our Country."

"You can't have a conference chair who recites Democrat talking points," said Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), a conservative leader using the formal title for Cheney's former post.

As if to underscore Jordan's contention, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said,"Congresswoman Liz Cheney is a leader of great courage, patriotism and integrity. Today, House Republicans declared that those values are unwelcome in the Republican Party."

Participants said Cheney received a polite standing ovation after her remarks inside Wednesday's meeting. Then she had to endure what Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) said was a "deafening" voice vote to topple her.

Her replacement in the party's House leadership is expected to be Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) who entered the House in 2015 at age 30, then the youngest woman ever elected to Congress.

The Republicans go back to their old hypocritical ways.

Stefanik owns a more moderate voting record than Cheney but has evolved into a vigorous Washed Up 45 defender who’s echoed some of his claims about widespread election cheating.

Some of Washington's hardest-right conservatives have remained wary of Stefanik's moderate record, but no challenger has emerged. Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO) said the vote on replacing Cheney will occur Friday.

Cheney arrived in Congress in 2017, and by November 2018 was elected to her leadership job unopposed. Her career path seemed to potentially include runs at becoming speaker, senator or even president.

She occasionally clashed with Washed Up 45 during his presidency over issues like the U.S. withdrawal from Syria. But virtually open warfare between the two commenced in January once she became one of 10 House Republicans to back his second impeachment for inciting his supporters’ deadly Capitol assault. The Senate acquitted him.

Cheney withstood a February effort to boot her from leadership in a 145-61 secret ballot, with a McCarthy speech on her behalf credited with saving her. That didn’t happen this time.

So Bailey Breedlove was kicked out of Six Flags Frontier City in Oklahoma City for the crime of fashion.

The woman said that a Six Flag Police Officer threatened and body shamed her over the shorts that were deemed too short for the amusement park.

They claim that her behavior led to the removal from the park but deny it was because of her shorts.

But TikTok can tell a story and it went viral. So tell me, who's right and who's wrong?

Breedlove said she and her family were at the Frontier City amusement park for 2 1/2 hours on April 30 before a cop approached her and her daughter. The cop was scolding her and the child for rolling down a hill on her skate shoes. The cop began to yell at Breedlove for her shorts, she said.

"I committed no crime and proceeded to walk to my boyfriend and I am autistic and have a hard time talking to officers," Breedlove wrote on social media. "She followed me and yelling and calling for backup. Then your incompetent manager showed up and began body shaming me. I was told I needed to go buy new shorts which I am not obligated to purchase anything I don't want to."

The family was exiting the park when an officer asked for Breedlove’s ID, accusing her of criminal trespassing, video shows. Breedlove’s 11-year-old daughter appears to be crying while sitting beside her mom.

Breedlove said she has been banned from returning to any Six Flags parks for five years.

Six Flags' dress code policy states it does "not allow clothing generally considered to be offensive." The park does not specify what the preferred length for shorts is, but said denim shorts below the knee are not permitted.

In a statement to McClatchy News, Six Flags said it asks "that guests wear attire appropriate for our family-friendly environment and expect guests to behave in a family-friendly manner. Disruptive or offensive behavior or the use of profanity or abusive language or gestures will not be tolerated and may result in a guest being removed from the park."

Breedlove used offensive language during the incident at the park, which was not shown in the video, Six Flags said.

Six Flags said her legs were showing.

"The guest was initially stopped because her shorts exposed a significant portion of her buttocks," the theme park said in a statement. "She was given multiple opportunities to change or cover up, but refused. Instead, she responded with profanity and offensive conduct, including further exposing her buttocks. The guest was removed from the park after she refused to stop her unruly and offensive behavior, targeted at the police and other park guests. The video clip this guest has posted on the internet does not fully portray her behavior during this incident."

In a separate TikTok video, Breedlove showed what shorts she was wearing during the incident.

"I have a 5-year ban now but will not be returning to any of your parks if this is how you treat woman and law-abiding citizens and visitors," she wrote on Facebook. "You should be ashamed with yourselves."

Breedlove's video from Frontier City has been viewed more than 2.4 million times as of Tuesday night. She received an outpouring of support from people who say she was harassed or that she should have been approached at the gate rather than two hours into her stay.

Frontier City is located 15 miles from downtown Oklahoma City. It's located off Interstate 35 and Interstate 44 in the northern part of the city.

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel has a list of folks he will never invite on the Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Of course his "nemesis" Matt Damon is often "banned" on the show. 

The comedian has also banned others. He has forbidden Jay Leno, Washed Up 45, James Woods, Chuck Woolery, Candace Owens and the most annoying far right agitator in the world from ever being on his show. 

Who is that annoying agitator? 

You guessed it... Sean "Softball" Hannity.

The annoying agitator (and resident white nationalist) has been engaged in feud with Kimmel for years. 

And it usually ends with Kimmel often just backing away from it because it's a waste of his time and he knows that the softball is going to be in the news for some dumb reason. He doesn't want to deal with ass clowns and hacks.

Softball Hannity is the ass clown prince, king and emperor of hackery.

The white nationalist did his trademark "softball" interview with former athlete turned reality television agitator Caitlyn Jenner. The softball and Jenner discuss the recall election of Democratic governor Gavin Newsom.

Jenner is hoping to run for governor as a Republican and is going against all the principles that her family the Kardashians stand for. Matter of fact, Jenner is a hypocrite. 

Jenner was then Bruce. He is a five time Olympian and spokesman. After years of marriage to Kris, he divorced her and officially came out as transgender. 

Now as Caitlyn, she is openly bisexual and has dated women and men. Jenner's run will also mark another entertainer running for government. The last governors who were actors were Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger. 

The softball accused Kimmel of "spewing more hatred and more rage" with his criticism of the Jenner interview.

In that interview, Jenner made a controversial comment about homeless people. Kimmel fired back, asking: "Is it transphobic to call a trans person an ignorant a-hole?"

Softball clutches the pearls and starts going into his rant.

"Jimmy, what is with all the anger and all the cheap shots?" the softball asked on his prime time show. "Don't you have anything better to do? Maybe actually trying to be funny or boost your dismal ratings because we’re absolutely crushing you by like 70% in total viewers."

"Jimmy, here's my advice, don't talk about my show anymore," the softball added, showing old controversial segments from the comedian for which he subsequently apologized.

The softball went on to call out Kimmel for bits he did on Comedy Central's The Man Show in the early 2000s, a show that was co-hosted by frequent Fox News guest Adam Corolla.

"Let's remind people, take a trip down memory lane," the softball said. "You wanna talk about ignorant assholes? This is you dressed as Karl Malone. And check this out. This is you, an ignorant asshole, when you had a cucumber in your pants during The Man Show. Maybe your bosses at Disney can talk you out of your bad behavior."

"You talk about my show, I'll hit you back 50 times harder," the softball added. "Ball's in your court."

The softball is a conspiracy theorist, political agitator and annoying piece of shit.

Kimmel said that Softball Hannity is the ringmaster of the whole ass circus.

Kimmel hasn't spoken on the matter, but expect he will address the softball. The last time the two came to blows is when the hypocrite was attacking Kimmel for mocking former first lady Melania Trump. 

The softball relentlessly attacks former first ladies Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton. He took pride in making up bullshit about Clinton. 

He is not a doctor but was obsessing over Clinton's health. Now he's obsessing over President Joe Biden's health.

He claims he is not a journalist but is doing "investigative journalism" and promoting conspiracy theories with shady ass figures.

He and Washed Up 45 shared Michael Cohen, Rudy Giuliani, Victoria Toensing and Jay Sekulow.

A pandemic killed over 600,000 Americans. The coronavirus isn't going anywhere. We're coming close to the unofficial start of Summer. We are also expected to see more people on the roads and in the air now that vaccinations are up to nearly 40%. We also are seeing Americans slowly returning back to normal operations at their jobs. Folks are going back to work. However we have income inequality. We have a Senate evenly split with Vice President Kamala Harris being the deciding factor. The Republicans are not willing to concede to reality. They vow to oppose President Joe Biden's agenda. 

Colonial Pipeline is trying to regain its strengths.

Biden's proposal The American Jobs Plan is focused on infrastructure. This includes roads, bridges, airports, pipelines, railroads and tunnels. It also includes cybersecurity for structures and family initiatives to help with single families working with young children. 

The bill is being stalled in the U.S. Senate. 

We have gasoline prices going up in the United States and it's due to more people on the roads.

Oh what fickles we have! Last year there was panic buying over toilet paper, paper towels, disinfectants and water. We heard no complaints from the maskless anti-vaccinated far right. 

A private company that specializes in distributing oil through its pipeline was hacked by a foreign operative based out of Russia. The pipeline stretches from Texas to New York. The pipeline and its company will be shut down and now the fuel prices are rising. 

So the maskless anti-vaccinated far right is raging at who?

Not the private company that allowed it to be hacked by a ransomware.

The attack by DarkSide, a relatively new criminal group believed to have roots in Eastern Europe, exposed the remarkable vulnerability of key American infrastructure.

The attack has the pipeline completely shutdown.

President Joe Biden declared a state of emergency on May 9. The declaration removed limits regarding the transport of fuels by road, in an attempt to alleviate any potential shortages stemming from the pipeline shutdown. Biden said on May 10 that, though there was no evidence that the Russian government was responsible for the attack, there was evidence that the DarkSide group is in Russia, and that thus, Russian authorities "have some responsibility to deal with this".

DarkSide released a statement on May 9 that did not directly mention the attack, but stated that "our goal is to make money, and not creating problems for society".

The group was first noticed in August 2020. Cybersecurity company Kaspersky described the group as an "enterprise" due to their professional looking website and attempts to partner with journalists and decryption companies.

In a press release on their website, DarkSide claimed that they would not target hospitals, hospices, schools, universities, non-profit organizations, or the government sector. The group have also claimed to donate some of their ransom money to charity and have posted receipts for several apparent donations on their website.

The gas prices are rising.

The Colonial Pipeline carries gasoline, diesel and jet fuel from Texas to as far away as New York. About 45% of all fuel consumed on the East Coast arrives via the pipeline system. The attack came amid growing concerns over the vulnerability of infrastructure to cyberattacks after several high-profile attacks, including the 2020 SolarWinds hack that hit multiple government agencies, including the Pentagon, the Treasury Department, the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security.

The Politico said it was "believed to be the largest successful cyberattack on oil infrastructure in the country's history".The FBI and various media sources have identified the criminal hacking group DarkSide as the responsible party. The same group is believed to have stolen 100 gigabytes of data from company servers the day before the malware attack. DarkSide is not believed to be connected to any state government.

This controversy has also brought to attention the importance of cybersecurity. The Republican Party will not work with Biden. They're too busy appeasing Vladimir Putin and white nationalists. 

The literally want the Russian government to undermine the United States. 

The writing is on the wall. The Republicans want to see Biden fail so they can return to power.

Once a Republican gets back into the White House, they will remove the filibuster. They will ram through federal judges. They will push for more restrictive voter laws. They will add more Supreme Court justices. They will criminalize free speech (i.e. criticism of Israel, critical race theory and supporting anti-American operatives) and they will ban transgender Americans from opportunities. They will force Christian beliefs in public schools and public institutions. They will bring more firearms on school campuses, more firearms in public facilities, and keep us divided with racial tensions.

There is no Jewish State. Let's clear that up. Israel is a country ran by a government that supports Zionism, a colonialist theory that the rightful occupiers shall be the Jewish faith.

The American enablers believe Israel has the right to exist and they have a right to defend itself. In their minds, Israel has done nothing wrong. Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip have killed thousands of Palestinians.

Hamas is a political arm of the Gaza Strip. It also follows a militant belief that the occupiers of the kingdom are to be deposed. They vow to liberate the region from the apartheid sponsored by Israel and the United States. They often clash with the West Bank leadership of the Palestinian Liberation Organization. The president of the Palestinian West Bank is Mahmud Abbas. 

Abbas is calling upon world leaders to put sanctions on Israel and force war crime charges on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin. 

The Israeli government continues to force families out of their homes. They destroy their homes and built luxury homes for wealthy Israelis, European and American Jews. They build walls to prevent Palestinian citizens from traveling on the roads. 

They are also shooting and brutally attacking Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

We cannot keep the charade up for long. The images are being streamed through social media and folks are noticing the inhumane treatment.

The far right and the United States are seeing a reckoning with this continuous conflict in the Middle East.

The two state solution is a farce. The U.S. had already chosen a side. When Washed Up 45 and Republicans voted to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, the world gasped.

It literally was condemned. World leaders believed it damaged any possibility of a mutual agreement between the warring factions.

Rashida Tlaib has been very vocal about Israeli occupation of the West Bank.

There is only a few times I will agree with Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). We need to pressure President Joe Biden to take action on the war crimes committed by the Israeli government. Tlaib is born and raised in Detroit but her family immigrated to the United States from the Kingdom of Palestine. The kingdom was dissolved into a British emirate and then became Israel in 1947 after the Jewish settlers made land there after the Holocaust.

The Michigan lawmaker is a controversial figure in her own right because she is a part of the do nothing members of the Squad. Its composed of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) and Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY). 

Tlaib, Omar and Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN) are the only Muslims in Congress. 

Tlaib is all talk and no action. She has not introduced a bill on the floor calling for an immediate investigation into American funds being used by the Israeli  government.

The Israeli government has thumbed its nose at the United Nations when it comes to the rights of those living in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Israeli police firing tear gas, stun grenades and rubber bullets clashed with stone-throwing Palestinians at a flashpoint Jerusalem holy site on Monday, the latest in a series of confrontations that threatened to push the contested city toward wider conflict.

More than a dozen tear gas canisters and stun grenades landed in the Al-Aqsa mosque, situated in a compound sacred to both Jews and Muslims, said an Associated Press photographer at the scene. Smoke rose in front of the mosque and the iconic golden-domed shrine on the site, and rocks littered the surrounding plaza. Inside one area of the compound, shoes and debris lay scattered over ornate carpets.

It's time for the U.S. to do something to punish Israel for war crimes.

More than 270 Palestinians were hurt, including 205 who went to hospitals and clinics for treatment, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent. Five of the injured were in serious condition. Police said nine officers were hurt, including one who was hospitalized.

Monday’s confrontation was the latest in the sacred compound after weeks of mounting tensions between Palestinians and Israeli troops in the Old City of Jerusalem, the emotional center of their conflict. The clashes have come during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, already a time of heightened religious sensitivities.

Most recently, the tensions have been fueled by an eviction plan in an Arab neighborhood of east Jerusalem where Israeli settlers have waged a lengthy legal battle to take over properties.

Hundreds of Palestinians and about two dozen police officers have been hurt over the past few days in clashes at the the sacred compound, which is known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary. The compound, which, has been the trigger for rounds of Israel-Palestinian violence in the past, is Islam’s third-holiest sit and considered Judaism’s holiest.

An AP photographer at the scene said that early Monday morning, protesters had barricaded gates to the walled compound with wooden boards and scrap metal. Sometime after 7 am., clashes erupted, with those inside throwing stones at police deployed outside. Police entered the compound, firing tear gas, rubber-coated steel pellets and stun grenades.

At some point, about 400 people, both young protesters and older worshippers, were inside the carpeted Al-Aqsa Mosque. Police fired tear gas and stun grenades into the mosque.

Police said protesters hurled stones at officers and onto an adjoining roadway near the Western Wall, where thousands of Israeli Jews had gathered to pray.

After several days of Jerusalem confrontations, Israel has come under growing international criticism for its heavy-handed actions at the site, particularly during Ramadan.

The U.N. Security Council scheduled closed consultations on the Jerusalem situation Monday. Diplomats said the meeting was requested by Tunisia, the Arab representative on the council.

Late Sunday, the U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan spoke to his Israeli counterpart, Meir Ben-Shabbat, and urged calm. A White House statement said that Sullivan called on Israel to to “pursue appropriate measures to ensure calm” and expressed the U.S.’s “serious concerns” about the ongoing violence and planned evictions.

Netanyahu pushed back against the criticism Monday, describing Israel’s actions in Jerusalem as a law-and-order issue. Netanyahu said Israel is determined to ensure the rights of worship for all and that this “requires from time to time stand up and stand strong as Israeli police and our security forces are doing now.”

Ofir Gendelman, a spokesman for Netanyahu, claimed in a tweet that “extremist Palestinians planned well in advance to carry out riots” at the holy site.

In other violence, Palestinian protesters hurled rocks at an Israeli vehicle driving just outside the Old City walls. The driver appeared to lose control and slammed into bystander. Police said in a statement that two passengers were injured.

The day began with police announcing that Jews would be barred from visiting the holy site on what Israelis mark as Jerusalem Day, with a flag-waving parade through the Old City and its Muslim Quarter to the Western Wall, the holiest site where Jews can pray. The marchers celebrate Israel’s capture of east Jerusalem in the 1967 Mideast war.

In that conflict, Israel also captured the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It later annexed east Jerusalem, home to the city’s most sensitive holy sites, and considers the entire city its capital. The Palestinians seek all three areas for a future state, with east Jerusalem as their capital.

The police decision to ban Jewish visitors temporarily from the holy site came hours before the start of the Jerusalem Day march, which is widely perceived by Palestinians as a provocative display of Jewish hegemony over the contested city.

Police have allowed the parade to take place despite growing concerns that it could further inflame the tension after weeks of clashes between Israeli police and Palestinians in Jerusalem.

Violence has occurred almost nightly throughout Ramadan, beginning when Israel blocked off a popular spot where Muslims traditionally gather each night at the end of their daylong fast. Israel later removed the restrictions, but clashes quickly resumed amid tensions over the planned eviction of Palestinians from the Arab neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah.

Israel’s Supreme Court postponed a key ruling Monday that could have forced dozens of Palestinians from their homes, citing the “circumstances.”

The Israeli crackdown and planned evictions have drawn harsh condemnations from Israel’s Arab allies and expressions of concern from the U.S., European Union and United Nations.

The tensions in Jerusalem have threatened to reverberate throughout the region.

American media doesn't show the real issues going on in Israel.

Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip have fired several barrages of rockets into Israel, and protesters allied with the ruling Hamas militant group have launched dozens of incendiary balloons into Israel, setting off fires across the southern part of the country.

“The occupier plays with fire, and tampering with Jerusalem is very dangerous,” Saleh Arouri, a top Hamas official, told the militant group’s Al-Aqsa TV station.

In response, COGAT, the Israeli defense ministry organ responsible for crossings with the Gaza Strip, announced Monday that it was closing the Erez crossing to all but humanitarian and exceptional cases until further notice.

“This measure follows the decision to close the fishing zone yesterday, and following rocket fire and the continued launching of incendiary balloons from the Gaza Strip toward the State of Israel, which constitute a violation of the Israeli sovereignty,” COGAT said in a statement.
