Leaves Are Falling!

Still over 30 million Americans out of work.
BLACK LIVES MATTER

Don't believe the hype!

We have more jobs lost since the COVID-19 pandemic.

WEAR THE DAMN MASK! SAVE A LIFE!

The jobs report for the month of August shows that 1.4 million non-farm payrolls were added. That lowers the unemployment rate to 8.4%. It was previously 10.2%.

Nonfarm payrolls increased by 1.37 million in August and the unemployment rate tumbled as the U.S. continues to deal with this pandemic. This pandemic has killed over 225,000 Americans.

CNBC claims that government hiring helped boost the total, with growth of 344,000 workers accounting for a quarter of the monthly gain. Most of the hiring came from U.S. Census workers, whose rolls increased by 328,000. Despite worries of a revenue crunch among at the municipal level, local government employment rose 95,000.

The total of those on furlough also fell dramatically. There were 24.3 million people who said they not working because their employer either closed or lost business due to the pandemic, down from 31.3 million in July.

Those on temporary layoff also declined, falling by one-third to 6.2 million and off the high of 18.1 million in April. However, permanent job losses also jumped, rising by 534,000 to 3.4 million. Laid-off worker who returned to jobs also fell by 263,000 to 2.1 million.

The Labor Department's household survey indicated employment growth of 3.8 million and a decrease of 2.8 million on the unemployment rolls. That left employment down 11.5 million from pre-pandemic levels.

"Employment growth is still set to lag the recovery in broader economic activity over the coming months given its greater exposure to the services sectors worst affected by the pandemic," wrote Andrew Hunter, senior U.S. economist at Capital Economics. "Nevertheless, the August data illustrate that, despite the earlier surge in virus cases and more recent fading of fiscal support, the recovery continue to plow on."

Other big job gains came from retail, which added 249,000 position, while professional and business services rose by 197,000 and leisure and hospitality, the hardest-hit sector during the pandemic, saw a gain of 174,000, most coming in bars and restaurants.

Education and health services also showed strong gains, at 147,000, while transporting rose by 78,000 due to a big gain in warehousing and storage jobs. Financial activities increased by 36,000 while manufacturing increased by 29,000 and wholesale trade was up 14,000.

Trump brags so much about how he's been so great for Black America. He literally says that he's done more for Blacks than any other president except Abraham Lincoln.
Joe Biden said he will start live campaign after Labor Day.
Unemployment for Black people feel 1.6% to 13% while rate for Asians declined to 10.7% and the Hispanic level slid 2.4% to 10.5%.

Many retailers are going out of business.

They have either failed or is in the process of filing for bankruptcy.

The report did nothing for the current stock market.

So if you do the math, we have over 34 million Americans out of work. Only 1.4 million jobs were added to the economy for a country of 335 million Americans. That's 50 states. the District of Columbia, the five U.S. territories and those living abroad.

Many Americans are not willing to "find something new." They were happy at their current or previous jobs before COVID-19.

Donald J. Trump has openly bragged about the jobs numbers whenever they're good.

Now many believe the numbers will be adjusted to benefit Trump's slumping polls numbers. Because obviously, the job growth has indeed slowed down. Trump has banked his reelection chances on a strong economy.

With the global pandemic putting a damper on most economic successes, Trump is desperate to win and he's using foreign operatives, a mentally-ill entertainer and the great culture war to woo voters.

Let's get this straight: The coronavirus has spiked in 43 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. The pandemic has many of the states in the South and West reissuing partial shutdowns and restrictions. Many Republican governors are slowly demanding citizens to adhere to shutdown orders and facial mask protection.

Despite all that we just want to let you know that jobs are still being lost.
The unemployment rate drops but it's not truly accurate.
The junk food media has the notion that Democrats and Republicans can't pass an extension to the CARES Act. The Democratic-controlled House of Representatives has passed their version of the law. The Republican-controlled Senate has signalled they're not willing to help replenish the CARES Act.

In their pea-brained minds, Americans are getting lazier because they're getting additional assistance with their state unemployment benefits.

Yes, we made more motherfucking money with unemployment but the risk of returning to work with no proper safety measures and going on "blind faith" is practically dangerous and downright immoral.

I am going to say that Trump has a 49.2% chance of winning.

He still is very unpopular and his legacy will be marred in controversy.

Trump has been openly feuding with infectious disease specialist Dr. Anthony Fucci. Trump has continuously promise that a vaccine will be out by the end of the year. Now he's stated that by November the Federal Drug Administration will roll out a vaccine three days before the election.

Fucci disputes the notion that a vaccine is available by November. It led to the stock market dropping on Thursday. Many scientists believe that Americans are not willing to try a vaccine that's not tested.

Face masks are now political. Fucci is warning Americans that not wearing protection and not taking the coronavirus will lead to spike in deaths. Trump vows to keep the country open despite the likelihood there's a second wave.
Unrest continues to happen in Portland.
The global economy is struggling. Some believe that the stock market's improvements show that the economy isn't in free fall. Trust me, if you're not aware, the economy is nosediving fast.

We have civil unrest in the country. Recent incidents of people of color being killed has become a catalyst of racial unrest in the nation. Americans are demanding that Trump and Congress pass police reform. Also many Americans are divided on race and class because of this.

Trump has called himself the "law and order" president. He demanded governors to stop protesters from vandalizing, looting, attacking cops and counter-protesters. He also is going to issue an executive order to make it a mandatory 10-years for destroying a historical statue.
Kamala Harris is making a play for Black votes.
Trump is facing a pandemic, economic crisis, civil unrest and political chaos.

Here's the U.S. map of the coronavirus spread courtesy of the John Hopkins University.

Things that make you go hmmm....!

1. The conventions are over. Donald J. Trump and Mike Pence will take on Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. There are only 60 days left in the U.S. presidential election. Facebook and Twitter have vowed to cancel out accounts that discourage voting. The Russian Federation is already meddling in the election. Facebook has shut down over 15,000 sites that found to be fake accounts to spark discourse towards mail-in voting and the results. Trump himself have called mail-in voting, cheating. The U.S. Postal Service is going to be overwhelmed with mail-in votes and Trump's handpicked U.S. Postmaster General is trying to sabotage the election.

2. Donald J. Trump becomes the third U.S. President to be impeached while in office. He escapes being removed from office by the U.S. Senate. The Senate rejects witnesses and evidence. They quickly acquitted Trump. The trial offered extensive evidence. Republicans weren't convinced by the evidence and voted to acquit him. This acquittal assures Trump will ask for help from foreign entities yet again. There are allegations that Trump either deliberately ignored the daily presidential briefing about the Russian government handing out money to the Taliban in exchange for the deaths of American soldiers. Trump is still trying to get the federation president Vladimir Putin into the G7 Summit. Putin has gain a victory this week when voters approved extending his term limits past the usual six years. He could be president for life. Trump has denied knowing Russia placing bounties on American troops and called it fake news. Republicans are trying to get entertainer Kanye West on the ballot in states that Biden needs to win. The entertainer admits he's trying to be a spoiler. Trump has called Black Lives Matter a "marxist group and terrorists." He has ordered federal agents to Portland, Chicago, Kansas City and Washington, DC. He also has threatened social media giants Facebook, Twitter and TikTok. Trump has demanded that TikTok be sold to an American technology company. Facebook has pulled over 1,000 accounts based out of Romania, Thailand and Russia. "Blacks for Trump" pages and the Russian-propaganda site Epoch Times pushed misinformation and phishing accounts.
Russian troll farms are spreading misinformation about Joe Biden's health. Trump, Republicans and leftists are seizing upon this crap to undermine Biden.
3. Joe Biden is Democratic nominee. He has clinched the needed amount of delegates to become the nominee. He is has 89% of Democratic support. The former vice president has slowly started campaigning and is wearing a face mask to troll Trump. He is counting on Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and disgruntled Republicans to help motivate voters. Tara Reade, the woman who claims Biden sexually assaulted her in the U.S. Capitol has lost her lawyer and could be in serious trouble in California. Trump is trying to seize on Biden's remarks towards people of color. Republicans and leftists are trying to distract Americans with the tiff-for-tact gaffes Biden made. Biden is vetting six women who could emerge as a running mate. Four of the potential picks are women of color. The Trump campaign's "You Ain't Black" failed due to the George Floyd protests. Now, Trump is calling Biden, "senile" and "corrupt." His son Donald Trump, Jr. was temporarily blocked from Twitter after he posted misinformation on COVID-19 and voting. The Republicans are still trying with the "Creepy Joe" persona. The "Sleepy Joe" persona isn't really motivating voters to go against a person that is pretty much squeaky clean. Russian operatives along with the Trump campaign and some leftists are trying the cognitive decline conspiracy theory as their only hope to keep Biden from winning. Note: they are not doctors. Trump has already tried to used photoshop images of an aged Biden.

4. The U.S. has nearly 7.3 million confirmed cases of the coronavirus. There are over 200,000 Americans who died from the coronavirus. The disease has spread across the states and many individuals are dying from it. Trump is telling the junk food media that the "virus will go away." Trump continues to blame Barack Obama for his failure to get the ball rolling on prevention. Trump deregulations have finally taken a toll. Trump tried to dismantle the Coronavirus Task Force last month.

5. Brick and mortar stores are shuttering in suburbia. Gap, Stein Mart, Pier One, Chuck E Cheese, Lord & Taylor, Men's Warehouse, J. Crew and Neiman Marcus have filed for bankruptcy. Papyrus, Modell's Sporting Goods and Art Van Furniture are going out of business and plan on liquidating their businesses. JCPenney, Macy's, Forever 21, Hallmark, Jo Ann Fabrics, Kmart and Sears are on death kneel. Walgreens, Walmart, Kroger are closing stores. Walmart and Kroger are no longer operating stores on a 24-hour format. The Waffle House, a longtime restaurant establishment that never closes has over 549 locations in the country still closed due to the coronavirus. The coronavirus has changed the dynamic of operations in superstores. They are closing stores at 8:30pm, midnight and 1am to eliminate workers. Dunkin (Donuts) are closing over 800 stores in the United States. Tim Hortons is closing 400 stores in the United States. Steak 'N Shake are closing over 125 stores in the United States. McDonald's is closing 300 stores in the United States. Walgreens is closing over 200 stores.

6. No one is seeing the results of the Job and Tax Cuts Act and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act. The Trump Tax Cuts and CARES Act hasn't really improved Americans lives. Congress is still trying to pass more legislation that helps those in the luxury and hospitality industry. Casinos, luxury cruise lines, airlines, hotels and sporting events were the most affected by the coronavirus. Now Trump is rolling out a tax holiday which is expect to take place in mid-September. For those who are willing to take it, they will get a small increase in their paychecks. However, when next year comes around, they'll end up paying for it in a wage deduction that could take over 15% of their paycheck.

7. Folks affected by COVID-19 are not working. Those who have worked a full-time job or multiple jobs are now forced off because of state order shutdowns. Some have worked one or more jobs to stay afloat.
Conservatives have claimed that Americans who use the safety net are lazy. They now see the impact of Americans being laid off from their jobs (at no fault of their own). They still are trying to make the argument that folks who are now getting these checks are going to demand more. A measly $1,200 isn't going to help Americans spend. It's going to help them one time with bills and rent. They don't realize that many Americans are working more than 40 hours and are often staying longer hours or working a second job to pay rent, mortgage or vehicle expenses. Insurance rates are up due to Trump rolling back regulations, eliminating the insurance mandate of the Affordable Care Act, and private insurance companies aren't paying for natural disasters and human based disasters.

8. Trump and his administration are doing subliminal cuts to food stamps, housing credits and disaster relief. The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Trump administration in their attempts to cut the safety net from immigrants who have American born children and working class families who are struggling to find food in area affected by food deserts, blight and natural disasters.
As North Carolina begins mail-in voting, Trump tells a crowd of supporters to vote twice.
9. Trump has called for sanctions on China. He accused China and the World Health Organization of lying to the world about the impact of the coronavirus. China has warned the U.S. that they will walk away from the trade deal and ban American imports. China is siding with Iran. The Islamic Republic of Iran hasn't forgotten the airstrike that killed General Qasem Soleimani. They are petitioning the United Nations to launch a criminal indictment against Trump, Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo and Mark Esper. There is tension between North Korea and South Korea. The North has cut formal negotiations with the South and Trump. The secretive country has been grooming Kim Jong-un's sister Kim Yo-jong to lead if he does step down.

10. Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the European Union and Japan have temporarily banned Americans from entry.

11. Americans are struggling with paying rent on their homes. The CARES Act expired in July and many Americans are now suffering from the failure of Congress. The House of Representatives have passed their version of the CARES Act. The Republicans in the Senate have continued to stall legislation because of their stupid principles. Many Republicans continues to believe that Americans getting federal assistance are "lazy" and not willing to work. That ignorance should be an anchor on Republicans who are struggling to win their reelection bids.

Nonetheless, Republicans will conclude that Trump's economy is great. We keep hearing the same old tired talking points about tax cuts, raising taxes on the rich and fixing roads and bridges. The same old shit but from a different face.

Now many facilities are dealing with the fallout of the coronavirus. They are setting up face guards, they reducing facility capacities, cutting hours and making mandatory distancing at businesses.
Jacob Blake is one of the few hashtags to survive a police shooting. He is paralyzed from the waist down and it sparked unrest in the country.
No one can wait forever for changes. Congress is made up of old, white and well off politicians.

Food prices, energy prices, rent, city services and college education have risen. With folks not working, the fears of being thrown on the street are live and direct. Folks are struggling to make ends meet as well as landlords, mortgage brokers and those who need the money to repair facilities.

Unemployment rates by the numbers. Note: American Samoa has data from 2018. Northern Mariana Islands is by far the highest in the nation due to the fact their unemployment was up since 2016.

Trump and the Republicans are desperate. They will throw everything against the wall to stop Joe Biden and Kamala Harris from winning the election. As Congress returns back from their summer recess, they will try to restart talks on how to pass the CARES Act. The Republicans in the Senate will not work with the Democrats in the House to pass an extension of the stimulus.

Trump and Republicans believe that trickle down economics (i.e. free market capitalism) is helping Americans. Really, it's making people work harder and folks are not seeing the benefits of it. So far private equity firms are buying corporations and piling on debt. These companies can't sustain the debt and are forced to declare bankruptcy and eventually liquidation. Many of our nation's largest companies and start-ups have equity firms investing in them. When the firms want their money, they're going to get their money.

Trump is destroying the economy, causing uncertainty in world and is bring chaos wherever he lands.

There is nothing positive about Donald J. Trump, Mike Pence and the Republican Party.

Tyler Perry Made The Forbes List!

Tyler Perry becomes a billionaire. He was already one before Forbes announced it.
BLACK LIVES MATTER

You should have known by now that Tyler Perry is a big man on campus. He bought Fort McPherson and turned it into Tyler Perry Studios. A man who overcame physical, emotional and sexual abuse as a child to become a famous screenwriter, actor, and media mogul is now a billionaire. One of the few Black billionaires in the world.

He brought the world Madea. The character is a tough elderly woman who helped style the direction of black plays and cinema. He wrote plays and movies throughout his time and had developed television programs for TBS. He scored an exclusive multi-year partnership with Oprah Winfrey and her Oprah Winfrey Network. The partnership helped build Perry's empire.

He has had roles in movies outside of the Tyler Perry Studios. He played the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles villain Baxter Stockman, he played in Star Trek, the titular character in Alex Cross, Tanner Bolt in Gone Girl and Colin Powell in Vice.

The business magazine Forbes called Perry one of the richest African Americans. He is worth $1.5 billion. Earned $130 million between May 2010 and May 2011. He is the highest paid man in entertainment.

According to Forbes, Perry spent $30 million to convert the former army base in Atlanta into his media company and spent $250 million to operate the facility.

The other billionaires include Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Michael Jordan.

Born Emmitt Perry, Jr., in New Orleans. He is the son of a homemaker and carpenter. His mother Willie Maxine Perry and father Emmitt, Sr. raised him in a strict home. He was beaten as a child and faced thoughts of suicide. The media mogul changed his name to Tyler because he despised his father actions. He also found out that Emmitt, Sr. wasn't his father.

He said he was molested as a child by three men during his younger age.

He struggled through school and didn't graduate. He lived on the streets as a homeless teen and found his calling in writing poems and stage plays.

Tyler Perry has been active in the Black Lives Matter movement. He had paid for the funerals of many people of color being shot. He has also sponsored scholarships for the children of people by police violence.

A truly humble man who once struggled through the hardships of life.

Congratulations to Tyler Perry on his success.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson: I Got The Coronavirus!

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and his family tested positive for the coronavirus.
BLACK LIVES MATTER

WEAR THE DAMN MASK! SAVE A LIFE

Dwayne Johnson is a professional athlete, entertainer and business mogul. He is known as The Rock, a famous WWE wrestler and commentator.

Dwayne Douglas Johnson is an American-Canadian actor, producer, businessman, retired professional wrestler and former American and Canadian football player. He wrestled for the WWE for eight years before he became a well-known actor.

Johnson has heritage of Canadian, Samoan and African American.

He and several business partners are considering a bid for Vince McMahon's XFL. The XFL was supposed to get off the ground this year but quickly folded this year. Some blame poor mismanagement from top executives. Other blame the coronavirus for the season to end quickly.

Johnson has three daughters.

Johnson shared on social media that he and his family all tested positive for the coronavirus.

He announced that his wife and two of his children all had symptoms of the coronavirus when they had a small gathering. He said that he became infected about two and a half weeks ago, from "very close family friends." He called it "one of the most challenging and difficult things we have ever had to endure as a family," but added that he and his family were now "on the other end of it" and were healthy and no longer contagious.

While the symptoms were mild for his daughters, Jasmine and Tiana, Johnson and wife Lauren Hashian were going through a rough patch.

Johnson said that if he can get it, you can as well. He said that people must follow the CDC guidelines on how to combat the coronavirus.

"It baffles me that some people out there -- including some politicians -- will take this idea of wearing masks and make it part of a political agenda," Johnson said.

"It has nothing to do with politics," Johnson said. "Wear your mask"

He shared a story of his mother who is recovering from lung cancer. He said she still wears a mask "every day" and is still being treated for a partial lung removal.
The Johnsons are still standing.
In the United States alone, we have over 225,000 Americans dead from the coronavirus. The infection rate has surpassed over 7.4 million cases. They said that over 1,000 deaths are happening daily and over 40,000 cases each day.

Johnson joins a list of entertainers, athletes, politicians and  public figures to diagnosis with the coronavirus.

Standing at 6'5'', Johnson gain fame for playing roles as action heroes and movie villains.

Earlier this year, Johnson had mourned the loss of his father Rocky Johnson. His father died in January of a pulmonary embolism caused by a blood clot that traveled through his leg. Johnson credits his father for his successes.

Here's the map.

Here's things to remember about the coronavirus. Revised.

1. Wash your hands frequently. Wash for at least 20 seconds (two Happy Birthday songs).

2. Do not touch your face (mouth, nose and eyes)

3. Cough into your elbow instead of your hands.

4. Keep a safe distance (at least 6 to 10 feet) from individuals. Businesses are now issuing social distancing and will have the right to refuse service if you're not adhering to the guidelines.

5. If you're sick, please stay home. You could spread the disease to others and trust me, you could face legal ramifications if you're sick and you deliberately showing up to work.

6. There is no treatment or cure for the COVID-19.

7. Follow state and federal laws regarding this. Some states have relaxed regulations but that doesn't mean you're fully able to return to normal life. You have to stay vigilant and remind yourself that you can still catch this despite social distancing and safe sanitation practices.

8. Do not hoard items like toilet paper, milk, eggs, bread, gloves, hand sanitizer, etc.

9. Use social media like Facebook Messenger, Meet, Zoom, Google Duo, Skype or social media to connect.

10. COVID-19 can live on surfaces for more than 72 hours. Including steel, plastic and cardboard.

11. A pandemic has no timeline. The coronavirus is new and scientists are trying to figure out how to combat this.

12. COVID-19 doesn't care about borders. The coronavirus spreads from human to human contact. We have no confirmation on how it made it to the United States. Don't believe what Donald J. Trump says about it coming from China. It was detected in China, then Italy and our first confirmed case was in January 2020 in the United States. We probably had thousands of people affected in 2019 and we just didn't know it.

13. If you deliberately infect other individuals, food and first responders, you will be charged with crime. So if people are trying to cough on you, sneeze on you, lick food products, lick toilet seats and refuse to wear masks where its required, they could face criminal charges. This is a controversial issue because some believe the mask isn't protecting them and some don't care about you or your family's health.

14. If you have signs of bluish lips or face, inability to wake or stay awake, new confusion, persistent pain in the chest, trouble breathing or blood in cough, call 9-1-1. There are mobile testing sites in your community but always check with a doctor first before getting a test at a public center. Most doctors will not take you openly without facial protection and confirmed symptoms.

15. Not all symptoms of COVID-19 are confirmed or denied. New issues keep showing up. So don't believe everything you've heard. The most common symptoms are noted above. Also please note that asymptomatic individuals are folks who have no symptoms but are spreading. Those are folks who look normal but have it and not showing signs yet.

16. Retail is now mandating workers and shoppers to wear facial protection. If you are continuing to not follow company policies when it comes to wearing facial protection, you can be banned from their establishment. Walmart, Kroger, Target, Whole Foods, Best Buy and other companies are now requiring facial protection in their businesses.

17. Have patience with those in the healthcare industry, service industry and law enforcement. They are operating at limited staff. Those who work at restaurants, casinos, media companies, landscaping, construction and first responders are working to serve and help you. But note, that they are putting themselves at risk as well of catching the coronavirus. Respect those who have to work in this.

18. Some hand sanitizers are considered dangerous to your health. Methanol-based hand sanitizer could be toxic to those with weaken immune systems or allergies. The Food and Drug Administration have warned of methanol contamination. Some products made in Mexico and China may be dangerous. There are some people ingesting hand sanitizer. See 19.

19. Please do not ingest or inject sanitizer, bleach or hydroxychloroquine into your body. There is no cure for the coronavirus. Scientists are working on creating a safe vaccine to treat the coronavirus.

According to the CDC, there is still not enough information on antibodies for COVID-19 and whether they can prevent someone from getting reinfected. It still recommends that people with a positive antibody test follow recommendations for protecting themselves and others.

The coronavirus doesn't care about your age, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, politics, economic or social standings. It doesn't care about anything. It's a living organism that causes mild symptoms that include: fever, sore throats, chills, respiratory issues, loss of taste or smell and other unknown symptoms. If you have a weak immune system or health issues, your risk increases.

Death does happen to at least 40% of those who are affected by COVID-19.

Healthy people can die from this. Take this seriously. You only have one life!
