Quaker Oats Scraps Aunt Jemima!

Aunt Jemima pancakes is a popular brand. But it's racially offensive stereotype of African American women have long been a controversy. Now Quaker Oats is retiring the brand and working on diversifying the company.
A famous brand of pancake mix, syrup and breakfast meals is no longer going to be named after a racial stereotype.

Quaker Oats, a subsidiary of PespiCo has decided to scrap Aunt Jemima.

The trademark dates back to 1893, although the Aunt Jemima brand debuted in 1889. The Quaker Oats Company first registered the Aunt Jemima pancake trademark in April 1937. The character appears to have been a Reconstruction era addition to that cast.

The George Floyd tragedy and subsequent protests have forced Quaker to replace the brand with a new name and image in order "to make progress towards racial equality."
That's not good.
Billy Kersands, a Black entertainer and dancer created the Aunt Jemima image. He was a traveling minstrel who used contortion techniques with his mouth. He would dress up as a mamy like character which gave inspiration towards the Aunt Jemima brand.

Nancy Green, an African American model, storyteller, activist and cook became the first spokesperson for the pancake mix in 1890.

Aunt Jemima's appearance has evolved over time. The brand's origin and logo is based off the song "Old Aunt Jemima" from a minstrel show performer and reportedly sung by slaves. The company's website said the logo started in 1890 and was based on Green, a "storyteller, cook and missionary worker." However, the website fails to mention Green was born into slavery.

The company also ran racist ads for several decades, with actresses personifying the mammy stereotype. It evolved the logo over the years, and even hired singer Gladys Knight as a spokeswoman in the 1990s. Today, Aunt Jemima describes itself as brand that stands for "warmth, nourishment and trust — qualities you'll find in loving moms from diverse backgrounds who want the very best for their families."

In 2017, the husband of the late B. Smith called on the company to change it and said it was the epitome of "female humiliation."

"While work has been done over the years to update the brand in a manner intended to be appropriate and respectful, we realize those changes are not enough," Quaker Oats North America chief marketing officer Kristin Kroepfl said in the statement.

Pepsi (PEP) hasn't yet revealed a new logo or brand name for the breakfast items. That will debut in the fall. The Aunt Jemima brand was purchased by Quaker Oats in 1926. PepsiCo bought Quaker Oats in 2001.

Aunt Jemima brand will donate $5 million over the next five years "create meaningful, ongoing support and engagement in the Black community."

Earlier this week, Pepsi announced a $400 million set of initiatives to support the black community.



Tim Scott Tap Dancing On Police Reform!

Tim Scott gambles with political future. He is working on police reform. This is an issue Republicans ain't really concerned about.
The only Black Republican senator is trying to convince his party to back him on police reform.

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) is tap dancing around the issue. Unlike Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), the Republican senator has trouble trying to round up support for his legislation on police reform.

In the wake of five high profile incidents involving people of color being killed by police and vigilantes, five incidents of Black men being hung from trees, four weeks of unrest because of the George Floyd tragedy and countless months of the COVID-19 pandemic, Donald J. Trump and Republicans are boxed into a corner. They have no freaking clue on how to solve these issues.

So they line up Scott and probably Rep. Will Hurd (R-TX) as the only "saviors" to Trump's disgraceful legacy.

The South Carolina senator is leading the Republican Party's efforts to be the "first" to do something about police reform.

Scott didn't outline many specifics of what he believe could be included in a comprisme plan he proposed on GOP Sundays. While on Meet The Press, Scott acknowledged the difficulties in setting a top-down approach and called fro the government to collect more date on police use of force and misconduct to help guide a decision.

"Is there a path forward that we can take to look at the necessity of eliminating bad behavior within our law enforcement community? Is there a path forward? I think we'll find that," Scott said.

Scott is proposing the Justice Act. This act proposes incentives. It includes a ban on chokeholds, more disclosure requirements about the use of force and no-knock warrants and penalties for false reports. It also includes emergency grants programs for body cameras, making lynching a federal crime and create a commission to study the conditions facing Black men and boys.

I call that BS.

First things first, you need to take military weapons out of the hands of police. Second, you need to look at white men and boys. They are inspired to hate people and they're likely to join the military, the police departments and politics.

They should offer remedies to solutions instead of arrest on sight. So if I am drunk but not operating a vehicle on the public roads, I should have an opportunity to just be able to park my vehicle and go home.
Kamala Harris and Cory Booker have already proposed police reform. Tim Scott said his fellow Republicans won't support it.
I think we need to eliminate private prisons, decriminalize prostitution, fire racist and bigoted cops, stop the police unions from dictating who's a good cop or a bad cop.

I want cops to stop using their emergency lights to bypass traffic jams. I want them to stop running lights and speeding on a public roads. They seem to get away with that stuff but I can't.

Mind you that Trump is not willing to sign off anything that undermine his views on law enforcement. Trump and conservatives believe police are under attack.

They don't resonate with Black Lives Matter. They believe the organization doesn't care about intraracial issues. They line up Black fascists like Candace Owens, Jesse Lee Peterson, Terrence K Williams, Diamond & Silk, Kevin Jackson, Larry Elder and Brandon Tatum as "experts" on Black culture. They give cover to the white extremists.

Scott has little backing from Republicans. Obviously, he will face opposition from Democrats because it doesn't go far enough. But who will hurt the bill the most is Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY).

Paul has opposed many legislative attempts to reform the police and ban lynching.

Of course, Jeffery Shaun King is promoting these figures as saviors while ignoring the Democrats working diligently on passing reform. \

Last month, they exposed Shaun King for being a fraud. Yet, he still has a platform. He needs to go away and I would love to see this trainwreck.



The Feds Search For Arsonists Who Burned Wendy's During Rayshard Brooks Protests!

The Atlanta Fire Department are looking for the arsonists.
Watch for the ops!

The Atlanta Police, Fulton County Sheriff, Atlanta Fire Department, Georgia Bureau of Investigation and FBI are looking for a woman who may be involved in setting fire to the Wendy's Restaurant on University Avenue on Saturday night.

The restaurant was set on fire shortly after the fatal police shooting of Rayshard Brooks. The 28-year old man was sleeping in his car when two Atlanta Police officers approached his vehicle.

On their body cameras, they issued a DUI testing and tried to arrest him. They get into a scuffle and the officers deployed a taser. After the taser was deployed, Brooks got up and took their taser.

Within seconds as he fled, one of the cops fired three shots. Two of those shots got Brooks in the back. He would die at the hospital. The body camera and restaurant surveillance shows the two officers not concerned about shooting Brooks.

Keisha Lance Bottoms had fired Atlanta Police Chief Erika Shields and the dirty cop. Protests began that night and witnesses saw white people instigating and starting fires.

Well on social media, one man said that "it's not us!" as the Wendy's was burning. They showed images of white women literally pouring flammable objects into the restaurant.

Yes, they saw Black protesters throw rocks and stop signs at the restaurant. That's minor damage.

Arson is a whole different ball game.

Most police believe those who looted and set fires to public places are not residents. I am guessing this woman is not from Atlanta.

So they released images of the suspects who set fire to the Wendy's.







Fire chief Randall Slaughter described the situation as "dangerous," saying that people were throwing bricks and other materials as crews worked to put out the flames.
This is one of the arsonists.
About 60 members of the AFD were responding to the fire but were blocked by protesters. They had to wait for the Atlanta Police to escort them to the property.

The charges for arson are first-class felony in Georgia punishable for up to 30 years in the iron college and a $250,000 fine. If the feds get involved they could determine this an act of terrorism.

The suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Again, I don't believe antifa is involved in the destruction of property. It's well known that white extremists see this as an opportunity to undermine Black Lives Matter. They are infiltrating protests and trying to instigate violence.

White extremists see the coronavirus pandemic and unrest in the country as a way to incite racial attacks on people of color.

It's not a coincidence that we're now hearing about Black men being hung from trees. That's not suicide.

Trump's Meaningless Response To Police Brutality!

Trump signs an executive order to ban chokeholds even though it's not law.
Donald J. Trump finally addresses police violence but really doesn't act or endorse the Democratic Party's proposal for police reform.

Today, Trump had signed an executive order today in the presence of law enforcement agents and family members of those killed by police.

This executive order issued on Tuesday will not take affect until next month. It will set forth a guideline in regards to the chokehold and police misconduct.

The plan will ban the use of chokeholds except for in instances when their lives are at risk and will set up a database where police departments track officers who have been accused of using excessive force.

Trump said these measures will ease tensions between people of color and police. He refused to acknowledge systematic racism existing in the United States.

The House is working on legislation that would make chokeholds illegal, accountability for bad cops who have multiple disciplinary issues, make social workers deal with mentally ill suspects with police presence and eliminate the "blue wall of silence" when it comes to misconduct.
Grifters. Shaun King and Lee Merritt often rush to the cause.
It disappointed me that S. Lee Merritt, the attorney who is involved in about nine of these fatal encounters working with Trump. To add insult to the movement, he pairs himself with a notorious grifter who pushed conspiracies about Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Pete Buttigieg and Michael Bloomberg.



The families of Botham Jean, Ahmaud Arbery, Darius Tarver and Jemel Roberson were with Merritt and Shaun King.

Cop pulls gun on five teenagers who were cutting through a yard.
Since the George Floyd tragedy, African Americans had enough. Too many times cops get away with murder. They often cite the old phrase, "fear for their lives" as a shield to use deadly force.

We have a global pandemic that is killing 140,000 Americans. The coronavirus deaths are still happening and folks are not social distancing. We have an economic recession. With the coronavirus spreading from coast to coast, many companies are closing up for good and placing Americans out of work. They are over 45 million Americans out of work. There are thousands of Americans who are being killed by gun violence. Everyday at least 95 people died from gun violence. I can't even tell you how many stories I've missed involving gun violence in the country.

WHEN COPS SEE A BLACK MAN WITH A FIREARM REGARDLESS OF IT BEING LEGAL OR ILLEGAL, THEY AUTOMATICALLY SHOOT THE BLACK MAN. EVEN AN UNARMED BLACK MAN JUST REACHING FOR A WALLET OR A DOOR HANDLE COULD BE KILLED BY THE COPS. NOW A BLACK MAN FLEEING AN ARRESTING OFFICER COULD BE KILLED. WHETHER THEY'RE IN THEIR VEHICLE OR RUNNING FROM THEM. THE COPS WILL SHOOT THE BLACK MAN.

We have unrest in the nation. African Americans and Native Americans had enough of the status quo in politics, religion, entertainment and law. The need to change started on May 25, 2020 when a cop placed his knee on the neck of an American citizen. He screamed, "I can't breathe...." and cried for his "mama."

This is not a game, this is life.



Again, this happened in suburban Atlanta.

Some witnesses say the five kids were shadow boxing near a convenience store which is what drew the attention of a police officer who held them all gunpoint for several minutes as witnesses pleaded for him to lower his gun Monday afternoon.



The Clayton County cop indicated he had stopped the kids because they had cut-through a grassy area near the store to reach another block but witnesses said that was done by many people on a daily basis. Both the children and cops were black.

The video has gone viral with the majority of commenters criticizing the cop for pulling out his gun on a group of unarmed kids, including one who was only ten years old. The kids were released after more cops arrived and frisked them, finding nothing to arrest them on.

The Clayton County Police doing damage control after a video of this went viral.



Shanelle Williams recorded the encounter on Monday.

The nearly five minute video has went viral and its prompt the chief of Clayton County Police to speak out. Chief Kevin Roberts of the CCPD has said that he has watched the video and has ordered an investigation into the matter.

The body camera footage from the cops will be released.

This incident happened only three days since the Rayshard Brooks tragedy. The 28-year old man was sleeping in his vehicle at a Wendy's drive thru in Atlanta. Two Atlanta cops awaken him, causally talk to him and tried to arrest him. He would end up fighting with them. He took the taser and then one of the cops shot him in the back.

 Brooks died and now we have more tension in the country.



She stated the whole incident had left her crying and shaken. She said that she thought this would never be witnessed in front of her eyes.

No amount of criminal acts this man done justified that cop's actions.

It's has frustrated me to hear folks like Candace Owens, Tommy Sotomayor, Larry Elder, Leo Terrell, Jesse Lee Peterson, Terrence K. Williams, Kevin Jackson, Diamond & Silk and Allen West defend the actions of bad cops and white vigilantes.

Agitators like (Jeffery) Shaun King and Tariq Nasheed (pka Marcus Sanders) will exploit these tragedies for click-bait and ulterior motives. They often seek attention from their loyalists when it comes to Black pain. The controversial King is a Bernie Bro who masquerades as a Black man. He often does "calls to action" to solicit donations from unsuspecting followers. King often sics his followers on Black women and former allies to silence them from exposing his shady dealings. Nasheed (formerly K-Flex) is a rapper, singer and former actor turned "Blacktivist" who is a notorious homophobic, chauvinist. Nasheed is totally anti-Black woman. He created the "coon train" as a way to point out Black severance to white nationalism.

I don't give a fuck about someone's past encounters with police. That doesn't justify the death of anyone.

What Happened To Oluwatoyin Salau?

Florida woman who protested against violence towards people of color became a victim of it.
A Florida woman who has been an activist with Black Lives Matter goes missing. She posts some ominous remarks about an encounter.

The hashtag #JusticeforToyin started popping up after the Florida State Police found the body of 19-year old Oluwatoyin "Toyin" Salau. They also found the body of Victoria Sims, a 75-year old woman who also went missing that same week.

The state authorities and the feds arrested a 49-year old man who is considered the prime suspect in their deaths.

Salau and Sims bodies were found in a Tallahassee neighborhood over the weekend.
Toyin Salau was just recently protesting the deaths of Breonna Taylor and George Floyd.
A motive has not been reported by Tallahassee Police, and it's not clear if the women knew one another or the predator knew them.










Salau was active in anti-racist demonstrations in Tallahassee just before her death.

She said that she was sexually molested by an unidentified Black man earlier that morning after he offered to give her a ride to "someplace to sleep."

"He came disguised as a man of God," she said of the predator.

After the man molested her, he fell asleep. She fled his home to a place to call the law. She was unable to located his house again.
Victoria Sims was the other victim of this sexual predator.
Salau described the predator as a Black man in his mid-40s and driving a white Chevrolet Silverado truck. The general location was roughly three miles from where her body was recovered.

The predator was quickly fingered after a woman told the law that he assaulted her after she turned down his proposition for sex while they were drinking back in May. He was charged with aggravated battery and released on bond June 3, three days before Salau said she was assaulted. The predator was arrested again on June 9 -- the day that Salau went missing. Police couldn't speak on the matter.

The other victim, Sims was a retired state worker who volunteered for AARP. She was a mother and grandmother.
This monster killed two women in Florida.
She was last seen on June 11, roughly a mile from where her body was found. Her vehicle was reported missing.

The suspect will face capital murder charges. Besides that, it may include rape, kidnapping, sexual battery, assault, improper disposal of a corpse, witness tampering, destroying evidence and previous charges. The murder charge in Florida is the DEATH CARD if convicted. He could get LIFE in the iron college.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.





Ilhan Omar's Father Passed Away!

Ilhan Omar's father passed away from the coronavirus.

Nur Omar Mohamed, the father of American lawmaker Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) passed away from complications of COVID-19.

Only a few weeks ago, Omar was attending the funeral of George Floyd.




Omar, who asked for privacy, said her father died on Monday. She didn't provide information about her father's age or any previous medical conditions.

The lawmaker who was elected to Congress in 2018 along with Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) became the first two Muslim women elected to Congress. They have endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) for president and faced intense criticism for their stances. Last month she supported the ridiculous claims of former Biden staffer Alexandra Tara Reade Moulton McCabe.

Omar who is facing five Democratic primary challengers and four Republican opponents is likely to keep her seat. Omar is now thrusted into the debate of civil rights. With the George Floyd tragedy thrusting the need for police reform and the end of racial biases, Omar is a perfect fit to help ease tensions.

In a statement obtained by NBC News, Omar wrote, "inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raajicuun," which reads, "Surely we belong to God and to Him shall we return."

The coronavirus has killed over 140,000 Americans and has over 4.3 million confirmed cases.

With recent protests involving police violence and the need to reopen up America, folks are still spreading the deadly virus without concern. I know people who don't take this shit seriously.

The coronavirus has killed Sen. Elizabeth Warren's (D-MA) brother and Rep. Maxine Waters' (D-CA) older sister.

The widow of former U.S. Senator and astronaut John Glenn passed away from COVID-19. Annie Glenn had died at the age of 100 from the coronavirus.

Rep. Joe Cunningham (D-SC), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), Rep. Tom Rice (R-SC), Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), Rep. Neal Dunn (R-FL), Rep. Mike Kelly (R-PA) and Rep. Ben McAdams (D-UT) had tested positive for the coronavirus.

Paul is the most controversial lawmaker. He deliberately went to Congress knowing he had symptoms and went into the U.S. Senate gym to work out. He may have affected dozens of people. He also is the senator who opposes the CARES Acts and the Emmett Till Anti-Lynching Bill.

Donald J. Trump had scheduled his first campaign stop in Tulsa on Friday. He changed his plans to Saturday after Black conservatives warned him that the timing would be extremely bad.

Trump scheduled it for Saturday.

Omar has been a frequent critic of Trump.

10. COVID-19 can live on surfaces for more than 72 hours. Including steel, plastic and cardboard.
11. A pandemic has no timeline.
12. COVID-19 doesn't care about borders.
13. If you deliberately infect other individuals, food and first responders, you will be charged with crime.
14. If you have signs of bluish lips or face, inability to wake or stay awake, new confusion, persistent pain in the chest, trouble breathing or blood in cough, call 9-1-1.
15. Not all symptoms of COVID-19 are confirmed or denied. New issues keep showing up.

According to the CDC, there is still not enough information on antibodies for COVID-19 and whether they can prevent someone from getting reinfected. It still recommends that people with a positive antibody test follow recommendations for protecting themselves and others.

The coronavirus doesn't care about your age, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, politics, economic or social standings. It doesn't care about anything. It's a living organism that causes mild symptoms that include: fever, sore throats, chills, respiratory issues, loss of taste or smell and other unknown symptoms. If you have a weak immune system or health issues, your risk increases.

Death does happen to at least 40% of those who are affected by COVID-19.

Healthy people can die from this.

What Happened To Malcolm Harsch?

Malcolm Harsch was lynched. His body was first discovered in California before Robert Fuller.
Before Robert Fuller's death, there was another Black man who was found hanging from a tree in California. His death didn't attract the attention but its generating concern among citizens in the Los Angeles area.

Is there someone out there trying to lynch Black men and women?

Malcolm Harsch is a 38-year old man was found hanging from a tree in Victorville, California.

His family is raising concerns about his death.

It draws parallels because Harsch's family doesn't believe he was suicidal. They believe it was foul play.






Authorities say they believe Fuller's death was a suicide and that they don't believe foul play was involved in Harsch's, but some are not convinced. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's department is looking into the Fuller matter.

Harsch's body was found near the Victorville City hanging from a tree. I said he was from Riverside County, but he's really from San Bernardino County.

The Victor Valley News reported that on May 31, 2020 around 7am, the Victorville City Fire Department "was dispatched to the Victorville City Library at 15011 Circle Drive where they discovered 38-year old Malcolm Harsch deceased nearby."

The family doesn't believe the county's coroner report.
Malcolm's family said he was not suicidal nor in mental distress.
"Our brother Malcolm Harsch died on May 31st. His cause of death has not been released to the family yet but we are concerned his death will be labeled as a suicide, as this is what was communicated to us upon confirmation of his death on the morning of June 1st," the family said.

The family's statement continued, "We were told that his 6 foot 3 inches long body wasn't even dangling from the tree. There was blood on his shirt but there didn't appear to be any physical implications at the scene to suggest that there was a struggle or any visible open wounds at that time. His body sat at the San Bernardino County Coroner for 12 days before an autopsy was performed...Malcolm had very recent conversations with his children about seeing them soon. He didn't seem to be depressed to anyone who truly knew him."

Harsch was from Warren, Ohio and he moved to California 14 years ago.

His family said that he "loved doing tattoos, he was very artistic."



From looking at his social media it doesn't indicate he has any mental issues or signs of depression.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Jodi Miller said a death investigation was ongoing, and that the cause and manner of death were pending. Miller said Harsch's body was found about a mile away from the library, which is accessible from Zenda Street.

The U.S. Justice Department, California State Attorney General and the state investigation board are looking into the death. California Attorney General Xavier Becerra said it will be an investigation into these incidents.

People of color across the United States and all over the world have been demanding equality and justice for the Black community, with many attending protests and speaking out following the George Floyd tragedy.

Kim Kardashian West, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Viola Davis and others have called for the U.S. Justice Department to do something about racial injustices in the country.

We have a global pandemic that is killing 140,000 Americans. The coronavirus deaths are still happening and folks are not social distancing. We have an economic recession. What Happened To Robert Fuller?

California man was hung and the nation wants answers.
One of three African Americans who were found hanging from a tree.

We will discuss each of these incidents. I strongly believe these men were lynched by white extremists.

The U.S. Justice Department, California State Attorney General and the state investigation board are looking into the death of Robert Fuller, a 24-year old man who was hanging from a tree in Palmdale, California. His body was found on Wednesday at Poncitlan Square.

The Los Angeles County medical examiner at first claimed Fuller died from suicide but recalled that notion and pressed for an independent autopsy.

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger along with California state senator Scott Wilk and California Assemblyman Tom Lackey have joined the family in demanding answers to his death.

"The [California Attorney General Xavier Becerra], as the lead attorney and law enforcement official for the state of California, will lend additional expertise and oversight into this important investigation and provide the community with the answers they deserve," Barger said.

Over the weekend, there were 2,000 people who gathered in Palmdale demanding justice for Fuller, who was described as a peacemaker who mostly stayed to himself and loved music, anime and video games.

The family said that Fuller wasn't suicidal or have mental issues. They believe it's foul play and the state won't get to the bottom of it.







"To be here, staring at this tree, it don't make no sense," Fuller's sister Diamond Alexander said to the Los Angeles Times. "My brother was not suicidal. My brother was a survivor."

"This is really crazy to all of us," she insisted. "We want to find out the truth of what really happened. Everything that they've been telling us has not been right."

Essence had also reported that people signed on a petition to have a "thorough and transparent investigation."

There was another incident in California in San Bernardino. A 38-year old man named Malcolm Harsch was found hanging from a tree in Victorville, 50 miles away from Palmdale.

People of color across the United States and all over the world have been demanding equality and justice for the Black community, with many attending protests and speaking out following the George Floyd tragedy.

Kim Kardashian West, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), Viola Davis and others have called for the U.S. Justice Department to do something about racial injustices in the country.

We have a global pandemic that is killing 140,000 Americans. The coronavirus deaths are still happening and folks are not social distancing. We have an economic recession. With the coronavirus spreading from coast to coast, many companies are closing up for good and placing Americans out of work. They are over 45 million Americans out of work. There are thousands of Americans who are being killed by gun violence. Everyday at least 95 people died from gun violence. I can't even tell you how many stories I've missed involving gun violence in the country. Now we're covering incidents where men and women of color being hanged from trees. It's like we're living in the past.

Don't get it twisted. Just because we had the first Black president, doesn't mean racism is over.





SCOTUS Sides With Pride 🏳️‍🌈!

The Supreme Court ruled that no employer can discriminate against Americans who identify as LGBTQ!
For the LGBTQ community, a huge victory for them. The landmark 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges decision had made gay marriage legal in the United States and its territories. Another one was handed to them and they can thank Chief Justice John Roberts and conservative justice Neil Gorsuch.

R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes Inc. v. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission was a landmark case before the Supreme Court of the United States, related to whether discrimination on the basis of gender identity is covered by the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Oral arguments were heard on October 8, 2019.

They sided with Stephen Breyer, Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

It was a victory for a transwoman who died before the ruling came forth. It also was a victory to an openly gay man who was fired from his job

It is illegal to fire a person out of the cannon based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Existing federal laws say that American employers cannot fire anyone because they're gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender.

The Supreme Court had to do their decisions through Zoom since the COVID-19 pandemic halted government services nationwide. The nine justices had to do televised ruling with a few members of the junk food media. The federal courts do not have televised court hearings. You have to have special permission to view the Supreme Court hearings through Zoom.

The 6-3 decision shows that Brett Kavanaugh, Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas need to get the heads out of their asses. They were the ones who disagreed with the ruling.

Gorsuch, appointed by Donald J. Trump a few weeks after he took office sided with Roberts and the progressive justices on the key provision of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 known as Title VII that bars job discrimination because of sex, among other reasons encompasses bias against gay and lesbian workers.

Gorsuch wrote the majority opinion.

"An employer who fires an individual for being homoseuxal or transgender fires that person for traits or actions it would not have questioned in members of a different sex," Gorsuch wrote. "Sex plays a necessary and undisguisable role in the decision, exactly what Title VII forbids."

Trump had argued that sexual orientation and gender identity are covered by the Civil Rights Act.

Aimee Stephens died before the ruling.
Aimee Stephens lost her job as a funeral director in Michigan after she identified herself as woman in 2012. She died in 2020 before the ruling.

Aimee Stephens, presented as a man for six years, worked as a funeral director for the Harris Funeral Home in Livonia, MI. But by 2012, Stephens was in despair over her gender identity, at one point contemplating suicide.

Instead she decided to come out at work as a transgender woman, telling her colleagues and her employer of her decision in a letter. But two weeks after giving the letter to her boss, she was fired.

Tom Rost, the owner of the Harris Funeral Home, who fired Stephens, explained his decision as one necessitated by the reaction he anticipated from "the families we serve. How would they possibly react to this?" he said, noting that Stephens was "the face of the Harris Funeral Home."

The court's decision came in several cases brought by gay and transgender employees.

Gerald Bostock was the child welfare coordinator for Clayton County, GA. He contended that he was fired after he joined a gay recreational softball league in 2013.

This is a huge victory.

Religious affiliated companies can't not discriminate, terminate or retaliate against any American who identities as a member of the LGBTQ community. It is illegal for an employer to discriminate against anyone based on race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religious or ethnic identity.

Members of Black Lives Matter have teamed up with the LGBTQ community to promote awareness.

A solidarity march between the LGBTQ+ and Black Lives Matter communities will be commemorated by a giant mural stating "All Black Lives Matter" painted at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue in Hollywood, California.
