Another person in the news passed away this year. We're starting the decade with trendsetters passing away. She was a social media influencer who won over support for her rapping skills. Now she has passed away.
At age 21, rising rap act Lexii Alijai has passed away from unknown causes.
I done let these weird ass niggas turn me cold lmao watch how heartless I’m walking into 2020 tho! 🚶🏽♀️
Fans of the up-and-coming entertainer were left devastated when the news broke over social media.
Known as Alexis Alijai Lynch, she died on Wednesday. She was the granddaughter of music legend and gun violence victim Roger Troutman. Troutman was best known
Singer Kehlani, who featured Lexii on her song, "Jealous," reacted like most people on social media.
She was shocked and saddened to hear the young talent died.
Lexii was from St. Paul, Minnesota and was featured on songs with Drake, Meek Mill, Nas and others.
Her cousin Raeisah Khan confirmed the news on social media. "[You're] a real Legend. If you know her or heard her music, you'd feel chills. Rest in paradise you'll never be forgotten!!"
Lexii released her first full length album titled, "Growing Pains" in September 2017.
Former HUD Secretary Julian Castro bows out the race for president.
Another candidate drops out the race for the Democratic nomination. The former Housing and Urban Development Secretary under Barack Obama, Julian Castro has ended his bid for the presidency.
Castro would be the only Latino man to run for the nomination. The only candidates of color left in this race are Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), former Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) and business mogul Andrew Yang.
No viable candidate has emerged in this race. Now that Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Beto O'Rourke are out, I really have no interest in the candidates. This is a big issue with the Democrats.
They're going to nominate an old white and milquetoast nominee.
Castro seen as a viable candidate was facing the same odds Harris and O'Rourke faced. They were in a field that was too damn crowded.
Donald J. Trump has sucked the air out the room. With his impeachment trial beginning, the imbecile has already sealed a strategy to win even though he will carry that badge of shame throughout his presidency.
It’s with profound gratitude to all of our supporters that I suspend my campaign for president today.
I’m so proud of everything we’ve accomplished together. I’m going to keep fighting for an America where everyone counts—I hope you’ll join me in that fight. pic.twitter.com/jXQLJa3AdC
"It is meaningful to be able to run right now when the Latino community feels like this President has put a target on their back," said Castro to Don Lemon on CNN.
Castro launched his longshot bid nearly a year ago in his native San Antonio, hoping to excite a diverse coalition of voters who could power him to the White House.
When he bowed out of the race Thursday, his allies expressed frustration that he was prevented from doing so, casting him as a victim of a primary process that inhibits candidates of color. In interviews, a half-dozen former aides and allies cast the first major Latino candidate in the 2020 race as a casualty of a system that already Harris, Booker and him from gaining traction.
"I'm so proud of the campaign we've run together. We've shaped the conversation on so many important issues in this race, stood up for the most vulnerable people, and given a voice to those who are often forgotten," Castro said in an online message.
He brought attention to police violence against people of color.
The video name checked, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice, Aiyana Jones, Eric Garner, LaQuan McDonald, Sandra Bland, Pamela Turner, Stephon Clark, Antonio Arce and Trayvon Martin.
It ends with "¡Ganaremos un día!"—which translates to "We will win one day!"
Castro had suffered with straggling polls and he was often overshadowed by Beto O'Rourke and Pete Buttigieg, the younger candidates running.
Castro had stalled for most of his campaign around 1 per cent in polls and entered October low on money.
The Republican Party's rapid response director, Steve Guest, jabbed Castro just five minutes after his announcement in a tweet that read: 'thank u, next.'
Castro, 45, was among the youngest in the running at a moment when the party's ascendant left wing is demanding generational change.
And as the grandson of a Mexican immigrant, Castro said he recognized the meaning of his candidacy in the face of President Donald Trump's inflammatory anti-immigrant rhetoric and hardline policies on the U.S.-Mexico border.
But he labored not to be pigeonholed as a single-issue candidate.
Castro made the attention-getting choice of Puerto Rico as his first campaign stop, recited the names of black victims killed in high-profile police shootings and was the first in the field to call for Trump's impeachment.
Julian Castro was a tough contender in this race. But due to his resistance of dark money and SuperPacs, he ran out of cash fast.
He wasn't able to make it to the debate stage in December and was struggling to win over voters in Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
Castro was then a former mayor of San Antonio. He was brought into the Barack Obama administration in 2015 to lead the Housing and Urban Development.
He is married with three children. He has a twin brother.
Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-TX) voted to impeach Trump and has been a vocal critic of the White House's failure to bring information to the intelligence committee. He was the first member of Congress to endorse Castro for president.
Texas man who claimed he suffered from affluenza killed four in his truck. Now six years later, the man still causing drama.
The man who drove his truck into a vehicle killing four and injuring six is back in the news.
We start off the new year with a controversial figure in American justice.
This guy who drove his father's truck while under the influence of alcohol and marijuana. He was driving down a Burleson, Texas road at a high rate of speed. He ended up crashing into a vehicle killing a mother, her daughter and a man who helped them fix a tire. He also seriously injured his friend and two other people who rode with him. He was allegedly stealing from a Walmart and had stole alcohol and food.
The four victims of this Texas man's reckless decision to drive under the influence.
The victims who died were Brian Jennings, Breanna Mitchell, Hollie and Shelby Boyles.
Sergio Molina was seriously injured. He was left paralyzed and now communicates through blinking.
The man claimed he suffered from "affluenza" and wasn't responsible for his actions. The Texas jury found him guilty of involuntary manslaughter but let him walk only if he was to pay back the family and get drug and alcohol treatment. He basically got a slap on the wrist. Well during his in-house, he was filmed playing beer pong and crashing into a friend's table. The judge saw that and ordered him to head to the county lockup.
He asked his mother to help him hide from the state authorities. So they gathered a month's worth of things and hot tailed it to Mexico. That placed them both on Interpol and the FBI's most warned list.
Our son, Sergio has to live like this. That man destroyed our son.
During their near month stay, the man was acting inappropriate to adult entertainers. The Mexican government realized the man was wanted in the United States. So they did a setup. They ordered a pizza and wings. The delivery man was an undercover and they quick arrest. So they grabbed him and his mother and immediately placed them in holding. His mother returned to the states and faced federal charges of eluding. The man tried to stay in Mexico but the country immediately kicked him out.
The U.S. Marshals would soon grab them and send them back to Texas. The judge ordered him to serve at least nine months in the county lockup. Once he was released, he was given a curfew, a locking device that prevents him from driving under the influence and told to never have contact with the victims.
Well he violated his terms again.
The man's mother faced federal charges for taking him across borders. The woman is now divorced from the suspect's father.
The man is being held without a "get out free card" in Tarrant County lockup.
County boys said the man violated in-house during a mandatory drug testing when he tested positive for THC, the juice that gives marijuana the high.
The murderer is on violated terms so we don't know if he'll be revoked his in-house or given a stiffer terms of in-house. When he fled to Mexico, the state of Texas believed he was a flight risk if given a "get out free card." So instead, they're going to give him a reminder, they ain't playing.
The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Another celebrity dies. Well I don't considered him a celebrity. I considered him a part of infamy. He was one of the contributing factors to the death of Whitney Houston's only daughter.
The former boyfriend who may have played a role in the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown has passed away. His death leaves unanswered questions to why she died in the first place.
Nick Gordon, the former of the late celebrity agitator died at the age of 30.
Jack Walker, Jr. confirms that his half-brother died in Florida of an apparent drug overdose.
"While I cannot speak to the specific circumstances of his death, I can say that it's been truly heartbreaking to have witnessed first hand the total devastation that drug addiction has wreaked upon a group of young friends, all of whom were loved and had immense potential," said family lawyer Joe S. Habachy. "My heart is heavy today after learning that my long time client Nick Gordon died at the young age of thirty."
Gordon's sudden death puts the legal case against him in limbo. H ews ordered to pay $30 million to the estate. According to the judges, Gordon was found liable for the death of Bobbi Kristina and was ordered to forfeit most of his assets. He was required to owe up for any royalties he earned from public appearances or promotions of his likeness.
Obviously, you can force a broke person to pay.
But the damages were stringing blow to Gordon. He denies giving the celebrity agitator drugs.
In 2014, Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in a suburban Atlanta home. They claimed that she was found in a bathtub. They rushed her to the local hospital and had her on life support for two weeks.
It was former pop singer Bobby Brown who had to make the heartbreaking decision to take her off when they determined that she was braindead.
Bobbi Kristina was a beautiful young woman who picked the wrong type of men.
Bobbi Kristina Brown was the only daughter of the late pop singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. She was the sole beneficiary of Houston's estate. Brown has 12 other children.
Her death was covered by me and S.B on this blog and we both condemned Gordon and the man who supplied them with the stuff that killed her.
I assumed that Gordon was trying to clean up his act. It was seen on Dr. Phil. He had that tearful interview with the reality television psychologist. I mean it was "Must See TV."
Gordon also started back dating again. His brief relationship with model Laura Leal ended on a sour note. Gordon on a binge high got into an altercation with her. Leal claimed that Gordon tried to "love her to death."
She stated that he tried to pull her hair, and tried to force her to crash her vehicle off the road. He said that he didn't care if he lived or died.
Gordon was apparently homeless at the time of his passing. He was staying from home to home.
David Stern, a legendary NBA commissioner, father and role model for all in the league.
First major celebrity death of the year, decade and month.
The former National Basketball Association commissioner David Stern helped build the league. He helped bring superstars like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant, Charles Barkley, LeBron James, Steph Curry, Karl Malone and numerous others into the greatness.
The NBA announced his passing today at the age 77.
Sten died as a result of the brain hemorrhage he suffered three weeks ago. His wife, Dianne, and his family were with him at his bedside.
"For 22 years, I had a courtside seat to watch David in action. He was a mentor and one of my dearest friends," said Adam Silver, the current NBA Commissioner. "We spent countless hours in the office, at arenas and on planes wherever the game would take us. Like every NBA legend, David had extraordinary talents, but with him it was always about the fundamentals -- preparation, attention to detail, and hard work."
"David took over the NBA in 1984 with the league at a crossroads. But over the course of 30 years as Commissioner, [David] ushered in the modern global NBA. He launched groundbreaking media and marketing partnerships, digital assets and social responsibility programs that have brought the game to billions of people around the world. Because of David, the NBA is truly global brand -- making him not only one of the greatest sports commissioners of all time but also one of the most influential business leaders of his generation."
Silver added, "Every member of the NBA family is the beneficiary of David's vision, generosity and inspiration. Our deepest condolences got out to David's wife, Dianne, their sons, Andrew and Eric, and their extended family, and we share our grief with everyone whose life was touched by him."
WNBA's commissioner Cathy Engelbert released a statement.
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of Commissioner Emeritus David Stern. The WNBA will be forever grateful for his exemplary leadership and vision that led to the founding of our league. His steadfast commitment to women's sports was ahead of its time and has provided countless opportunities for women and young girls who aspire to play basketball. He will be missed."
Stern's impact was felt. He brought the league from nearly folding. He gave Canada it's first two NBA teams. The Grizzles played in Vancouver until 2001. They are the Memphis Grizzles.
The current NBA champions, the Toronto Raptors became the first franchise in Canadian history to win a national title.
Stern was instrumental in bring NBA teams to midsize cities. He brought us the WNBA and the G-League formerly the NBA Development League.
Where smaller cities would have an opportunity to see stars develop into stars. He was the man who oversaw the infamous fight between Meta World Peace (Ron Artest), Ben Wallace and the fans in Detroit.
Stern was commissioner for three decades and shepherded the league into the global market. He helped expand the game on the backbone of the NBA's star players, highlighted by the Dream Team's impact at the 1992 Olympics.
The NBA itself grew under Stern. Seven teams joined the league, and six relocated. Stern also helped in the creation of the WNBA, which had its inaugural season in 1997, and the NBA Development League, now known as the G League, providing countless opportunities for players to pursue careers playing basketball in the United States that previously weren't available.
"We are deeply saddened by the passing of NBA Commissioner Emeritus David Stern. The WNBA will be forever grateful for his exemplary leadership and vision that led to the founding of our league," WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert said in a statement. "His steadfast commitment to women's sports was ahead of its time and has provided countless opportunities for women and young girls who aspire to play basketball. He will be missed."
Stern's tenure overlapped with two of basketball's all-time greats, Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Stern became commissioner in February 1984, the year Jordan entered the league. Stern stepped down from his post three decades later in 2014, the year after James won his second NBA title.
James paid tribute to Stern on Instagram, writing in part, "Thank you for your commitment to the beautiful game of basketball that has changed so many young adult/kids lives and more importantly your vision to make our game become WORLDWIDE was a vision only you could make happen! You did just that. Making our game the greatest sport in the world!"
Jordan, owner of the Charlotte Hornets, echoed those sentiments.
Michael Jordan, the greatest NBA player of all time.
"Without David Stern, the NBA would not be what it is today. He guided the league through turbulent times and grew the league into an international phenomenon, creating opportunities that few could have imagined before," Jordan said in a statement. "His vision and leadership provided me with the global stage that allowed me to succeed. David had a deep love for the game of basketball and demanded excellence from those around him -- and I admired him for that. I wouldn't be where I am without him. I offer my deepest sympathies to Dianne and his family."
Stern and the NBA also endured labor strife over the years. The first four lockouts in NBA history occurred with Stern as commissioner. The 1995 and 1996 lockouts did not result in lost games, but lockouts in 1998 and 2011 led to regular seasons that were shortened to 50 and 66 games, respectively.
"The entire basketball community is heartbroken. David Stern earned and deserved inclusion in our land of giants. His impact on our game and our business is immeasurable and the rewards we reap will continue to be appreciated by NBA players and their families for generations," the National Basketball Players Association said in a statement. "As tough an adversary as he was across the table, he never failed to recognize the value of our players and had the vision and courage to make them the focus of our league's marketing efforts -- building the NBA into the empire it is today. We owe him and we will miss him."
Stern would say that one of his greatest achievements was guiding a league of mostly black players that was plagued by drug problems in the 1970s to popularity with mainstream America. He had a hand in nearly every initiative to do that, from the drug testing program to the implementation of the salary cap to the creation of a dress code.
During Stern's tenure, the NBA became one of the most popular leagues in the world and increased television revenue from $10 million per year to approximately $900 million per year.
"David Stern was a brilliant leader whose vision was instrumental in creating the global success the NBA enjoys today," ESPN president Jimmy Pitaro said in a statement. "ESPN is deeply grateful for his tremendous partnership through the years. Our thoughts are with David's loved ones, Commissioner Silver and the entire NBA family at this difficult time."
"My wife Willow Bay & I are deeply saddened by the loss of David Stern, who left an indelible mark on the sports industry & helped turn the NBA into a global cultural force," Bob Iger, Disney's chairman/CEO, said via Twitter. "He was an integral part of our personal and professional lives. Our hearts are with his family & the NBA."
Magic Johnson, a key member of the 1992 Dream Team, praised Stern in a series of tweets for how he responded after Johnson announced his retirement in 1991 after revealing that he had HIV.
"David Stern was such a history maker. When I announced in 1991 I had HIV, people thought they could get the virus from shaking my hand," Johnson tweeted. "When David allowed me to play in the 1992 All Star Game in Orlando and then play for the Olympic Dream Team, we were able to change the world."
Larry Bird, whose on-court rivalry with Johnson helped spark the league's growth, was another member of the Dream Team who helped grow the game's popularity internationally.
"There are no words that can really describe the far-reaching impact of Commissioner Stern's brilliance, vision, fairness and hard work over so many years," Bird said in a statement. "When you think of all that he accomplished worldwide on behalf of thousands of players, so many fans, all of the jobs he created for team and arena employees and all of the people that benefited from the many layers of growth in the sport and industry that David spearheaded and then passed on to others, there is no doubt Commissioner Stern lifted the NBA to new heights and he will be greatly missed by all of us."
Under Stern, the NBA played nearly 150 international games and was televised in more than 200 countries and territories and in more than 40 languages, and the NBA Finals and All-Star weekend grew into international spectacles. The 2010 All-Star game drew more than 108,000 fans to Dallas Cowboys Stadium, a record to watch a basketball game.
One action that Stern, an outspoken commissioner, will be remembered for is his decision to veto a trade in 2011 that would have sent Chris Paul from the then-New Orleans Hornets to the Los Angeles Lakers. Stern has defended the decision over the years, saying in October 2018 that he was acting to protect the then-league-owned Hornets. Paul was traded to the LA Clippers a week after Stern's veto.
David Joel Stern was born on Sept. 22, 1942, in New York City. He received his bachelor's degree from Rutgers and his law degree from Columbia. He initially became linked to the NBA as part of the law firm Proskauer, Rose, Goetz & Mendelsohn, which represented the league.
When Oscar Robertson filed a lawsuit against the NBA in the 1970s, Stern helped negotiate a settlement that both allowed the NBA's merger with the ABA and led to free agency in the league.
Legends are made when they win the best of series. The NBA Finals determines the greatest in the league.
Stern officially joined the NBA as the league's general counsel in 1978 and succeeded Larry O'Brien as commissioner in 1984 after serving as the league's executive vice president of business and legal affairs from 1980 to '84.
After stepping down, Stern continued to address issues in the NBA. Among other ideas, he changed his position to promote legalized betting in the United States and said marijuana should be taken off the NBA's banned substance list.
Stern was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014.
"The reason I am here is because of thousands of people over the years who have done so much," Stern said during his induction speech. "You got to love the game, and everything that we do is always about the game."
The feds search for suspects in a mass murder in Puerto Rico.
Again, the "status quo" of gun politics. Let's not talk about it.
It's too early to talk about gun control.
Why do [the left] want to confiscate my firearms? I have a right to own firearms.
The good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy with a gun.
We need to have more security guards, more metal detectors, retired police officers in our schools, churches, malls and government buildings.
Thoughts and prayers.
My heart goes out to the victims.
Now is not the time to talk about gun violence!
This is the usual word vomit that constantly comes whenever there's a mass shooting inside a school, church or a mall. Never gonna move the needle when it comes to gun violence.
A family is gunned down by a terrorist in the U.S. commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
Which state or territory has the most gun violence?
They were celebrating New Year's Eve. One family member was associated with a local gang (domestic terrorists) and was targeted for a kill.
Edwin Ramos, Dorothy Wickline, their nine year old twin sons and their 16-year old son were murdered by an unknown assailant.
"It's too early to establish a motive," Puerto Rico Police Detective Carlos Nazario told reporters. "We are looking at all angles."
Their son, Luis Ramos Wickline (known as Goldo Yaga) is in federal time out awaiting a federal sandwich. His corporation with the feds has got his family targeted.
Now the Trujillo Alto Police, Puerto Rican Department of Public Safety and FBI are investigating the motives and those who were once associated with Ramos Wickline.
Wannabe terrorist lost his family after talking to the feds.
The man said the four of them had celebrated New Year's Eve with relatives and were shot shortly after they returned home.
Police said one person was shot at the entrance of the home, another in the living room and two in the bedroom.
Cops believe the mass shooting is a retaliation kill.
Someone allegedly tried to get him on Monday but they've failed. So in order to send a strong message to why snitches pay for ratting out associates, they targeted a kill on his family.
As expected, Donald J. Trump. Mike Pence, Gov. Wanda Vazquez Garced and U.S. Residential Commissioner (Rep. Jenniffer Gonzalez (R-PR)) will offer nothing more than "thoughts and prayers" and their "hearts going out to...." bullshit. They offer phony sympathy that doesn't comfort victims of gun violence.
Gun violence doesn't take a break in the United States.
Moments of silence, street memorials, naming of public places, saying "Your heart goes out to...," lowering of flags and hashtags are platitudes. They are a huge waste of time. It's a man-made crisis created by a lazy ass government. They are enabling this. Donald J. Trump, Congress and the National Rifle Association are a bunch of lily-livered cowards. They are numb to gun violence.
The "good guy" with a firearm is the most dangerous person to have a firearm. Matter of fact, the NICE GUY is often the ones who are spurned by society. Bad relationships, losing your job, jealousy over promotions, family feuds and racism are typical NICE GUY issues.
NICE GUYS ARE THE MOST DANGEROUS INDIVIDUALS WITH A FIREARM. THE NICE GUY GETS SPURNED BY SOCIETY. THEY TAKE REVENGE ON SOCIETY. RESTRAINING ORDERS ARE JUST A PIECE OF PAPER. THEY WILL NOT (I REPEAT) STOP A "MAD" MAN FROM OBTAINING A FIREARM.
Don't you just want to scream!?
Scream in the faces of these damn lawmakers whenever they offer their "thoughts and prayers" to every fucking mass shooting in the United States. They will offer their condolences and say a word vomit how they sympathize with the deceased. Some here will tell us that "now isn't the time to talk." Others will say that "the NRA has too much influence on gun laws."
We will talk about this for a few days and then we're off to another controversy. The next controversy would either be something done by Trump, a politician, an entertainer or we will experience another mass shooting. The next mass shooting will be even worse than the last one.
I repeat myself over and over again! I use the same old copy and paste. I hear the same trolls saying that there's nothing we can do. I keep hearing "concern" trolls telling us that it's their own fault for their own deaths. I hear the same old talking points about "good guys with guns" and "god's given rights."
I am getting really tired of dealing with mass shootings.
Every time these folks offer "thoughts and prayers," "their condolences," "their hearts going out to," and "their apologies," they are not sincere. For every naming of a road, park, bench, building and holiday, it won't matter to the community. For every time they lower flags, offer moments of silence and candlelight vigils, we just offer "feel good-isms."
The website Officer Down is a memorial to those who were killed in the line of duty. Those who don't get their names mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence.
We are in the midst of possibly the 400+ mass shooting in the United States. Donald J. Trump, Congress, the National Rifle Association and agitators in the junk food media have moved on from dealing with this. They're too busy sniping over partisan blame games. With Trump being impeached while in office, he's unlikely to focus on gun violence.
Trump and lawmakers elected to federal office made politics extremely toxic. It's not just the fault of our dear leader and lawmakers, but relentless agitators on the 24/7 cable news channels. They are profiting off division and divisiveness. The internet is also a problem. It's is a breeding ground for potential mass shooters. Facebook, Twitter, Google and other social media outlets have been "ground zero" for disinformation, partisan threats and social activism. Incels and social outcasts find their outlets on sites that inspire them to cause harm to their fellow human beings.
GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE THREAT IN THE UNITED STATES. THERE IS NO GOD.
Another mass shooting. This happened in Omaha, Nebraska.
First mass shooting of the decade, year, month and day.
Again, the "status quo" of gun politics. Let's not talk about it.
It's too early to talk about gun control.

Three people including a police officer were shot during an incident in Omaha on Tuesday evening.
Douglas County officials confirm that a cop was shot in the leg. The cop's condition is serious and the incident happened before the 10pm (CST).
A large scale investigation is underway.
The identities of the two other victims and their conditions are not known at this point. There were four to five police vehicles in the vicinity of the shooting.
The incident comes just a few days after a man died after he was shot outside a home in the same neighborhood on Friday night.
Omaha Police Deputy Chief Scott Gray said they received a call about a domestic disturbance involving a man in his 40s. They responded to Evans Tower at 24th and Pratt. The caller met officers on the scene and led them to the 5th floor. That's when Dep. Chief Gray says officers encountered an armed man. He says gunfire was exchanged.
The suspect and a woman died and an officer was shot. Police did not specify how the woman died and more information is expected to come out after an investigation.
Dep. Chief Gray says the officer was shot in the lower part of the leg and will recover. Paramedics took the officer to Nebraska Medical Center in serious condition.
As expected, Donald J. Trump, Mike Pence, Gov. Pete Ricketts, Sen. Deb Fischer (R-NE), Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) and the three U.S. Representatives of Nebraska will do their usual "thoughts and prayers" bullshit. They will condemn the attack and offer "sympathy" for the victims.
Mass shootings are happening in the United States. You may think it's never gonna happen to your town, your family or yourself, but I assure you it will affect you at some point.
The shooting happened at a local apartment complex.

GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE THREAT IN THE UNITED STATES. THERE IS NO GOD.
Kansas cops had to apologize to McDonald's after a dirty cop tried to get an employee fired.
This is why there's no such thing as Blue Lives Matter. You weren't born a cop.
A 23-year old cop was forced to resign on Monday after admitting to making up a story that a McDonald's drive-thru employee wrote "fucking pig" on his coffee cup.
This happened in Herington, Kansas.
The Herington Police chief Brina Hornaday was trying to make this a Fox News story. He was calling upon the community to condemn McDonald's and have them fire the employee out the cannon.
An outraged Hornaday had earlier posted a photo on Facebook of the coffee cup with the expletive scrawled across it, which prompt widespread calls of outrage.
McDonald's disputed the allegations made by the officers following an investigation.
Hornaday has since deleted his Facebook post and the department's page, was forced to backtrack and later "applauded" McDonald's for conducting its own investigation and for cooperating with the department.
"This was completely and solely fabricated by a Herington police officer no longer employed with the agency," Hornaday said.
Dirty police chief was hoping to get Fox News to amplify this story.
"The investigation that I conducted showed that this was meant to be a joke. However, we can see that how something so serious can get so out of control, very, very quickly."
"The most important thing that could have been done and should have been done in this scenario would be to come forward immediately....however, unfortunately that was not done," Hornaday said.
He would not name the dirty cop by name but he did share the cop's ranking. He was on the force for about two months after spending five in the U.S. Army.
The dirty cop will not face any criminal charges.
This stunt done by a cop is the reason why Black Lives Matter.
The owner of McDonald's was not happy about the situation. They were about to fire the employee out the cannon. The owner, Dana Cook said the Junction City location said that she was disappointed about the whole ordeal.
The former dirty cop will likely be banned from that McDonald's location. He will probably find another job with another community. He will likely be one of those type of cops who may end up killing a person of color. He will claim he feared for his life. The state won't prosecute him and they'll give him a severance package and the family millions to shut them up.
Nothing can bring back the lives of those killed by gun violence. The folks who swore to protect their communities don't care about the lives they've taken away.
Blue Lives Matter is a countermovement in the U.S. advocating that those who are prosecuted and convicted of killing law enforcement officers should be sentenced under hate crime statutes.
Blues Lives Matter support discriminatory policing and racial profiling.
A major museum in Washington, DC that covers the "First Amendment" and the folks who do the work of journalism is closing forever.
This 2020 leaves a level of uncertainty for the folks who actually cover the news. Their work is being undermined by Donald J. Trump, a handful of overpaid agitators who promote opinion instead of news and social media. You get more information from social media than journalism. Even though, social media often misleads and distracts from facts, Americans trust their Facebook and Twitter sources than the "gray pages."
The Newseum was an interactive museum that promotes free expression and the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, while tracing the evolution of communication. The seven-level, 250,000-square-foot museum is located in Washington, D.C., and features fifteen theaters and fifteen galleries.
For more than a decade, it gave visitors a close-up look at the Berlin Wall, 9/11 coverage, the FBI, Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs and more. Many people from around the country stood in line to get a last glimpse of the exhibits before the location closes.
"I love walking through the whole line and seeing the whole thing," said Cindy Slattery, a visitor from Maryland.
The Newseum in Washington, D.C. has welcomed visitors each day for more than 10 years with a display of newspaper front pages from all 50 U.S. states and countries around the world.
"You find out what matters to people all over," said Slattery.
Slattery brought her friends to see the Newseum for the first time on its last day on Pennsylvania Avenue to celebrate the country’s First Amendment and free press.
"It's like being able to reach out and touch history when you go to this museum," said Todd Morgan.
It gives visitors a chilling look at Pulitzer Prize-winning photographs, an opportunity to touch a piece of the Berlin Wall, and a reminder of the journalists killed for doing their job.
"Just get different perspectives," said Laschelle McKay.
The Newseum and its $25 admission fee has had to compete with free museums, all within walking distance of the Capitol.
Its closure brought up a bigger discussion for some visitors about the future of journalism.
"The challenges it's facing to stay alive and stay relevant."
Thomas McKay knows this firsthand. He owns two newspapers.
"I wonder where communities are really going to get their news in the future," said McKay.
However, McKay is confident journalism will live on just like many of the exhibits in the Newseum.
Their future permanent home remains uncertain, but the public seems eager to revisit their stories.
Some of the museum's work will appear in online, public or traveling exhibits while the search continues to find a new location.
