Mike Rogers: I'm Gonna Wipe That Smug Look Off Your Face Matt Gaetz!

We can go all night.

Tension between the can't govern GOP.

It appears that the 14th time Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) lost his bid to be the House Speaker. However, it appears he is getting closer to that goal. But as long as Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and a handful of standouts continue to oppose his bid, it continues the long game on voting for who could be the House Speaker.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) managed to ease their restraint by voting "present" or for McCarthy.

Tonight, there was tension between McCarthy and Gaetz. It also led to Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL) was about to lunge at Gaetz which caused a brief commotion.

When McCarthy turned away, an irate Rogers was seen being restrained. McCarthy briefly turned around to assess the situation.

The Republicans are making the two year anniversary of the Capitol attacks memorable.

Rep. Richard Hudson (R-NC) was seen physically restraining Rogers from barreling toward Gaetz after a heated exchange in which Gaetz seemingly refused to switch his vote from "present" to one in favor of McCarthy, putting an end to four days of stalemate.

Gaetz unfazed stated that he ain't budging.

McCarthy needed 217 votes to become speaker and was at 216, with Gaetz and Boebert voting present and four Republicans voting against. He was seen walking toward Gaetz before the vote was officially gaveled in, appearing to ask for his help, but Gaetz did not change his vote.
