Sean Price, a member of the Boot Camp Clik passed away over the past week. World News Today send our condolences to the family of Sean Price.
I didn't get an opportunity to dedicate a post to the legendary rapper.
He was also a member of Heltah Skeltah.
Sean died on August 8 at the age of 43. Details surrounding his death are unknown at the time. But the family and reps for Duck Down Records have confirmed that his passing was a tragedy.
He died in his sleep. He was residing in his hometown of Brooklyn and the death touched the hip-hop community.
He was survived by his wife and three children. He converted to Sunni Muslim in 2009.
About ten years ago, Sean released his first debut album Monkey Barz on the underground music scene. He would also release Jesus Price Superstar and Mic Tyson in the following years.
As a member of Heltah Skeltah the group released Nocturnal, Magnum Force and D.I.R.T..
And as a member of the Boot Camp Clik, Sean collaborated with the group on four albums. The albums For The People, The Chosen Few, The Last Stand and Casualties of War.
Duck Down Music is a music label that was founded by Drew "Dru-Ha" Friedman and Kenyatta "Buckshot" Blake. The label specialized in releasing underground hip-hop music.
Sean was signed to the label since its founding.
