Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce Knowles on Covers of Major Magazines

Beyonce Knowles made history by being the first non-model on the cover of this year's Sports' Illustrated swimsuit issue. Jennifer Hudson is on the cover of the March issues of Essence and Vogue magazines. Way to go ladies!

You kind of threw me when you called Beyonce Knowles a "noncelebrity." But I'm pretty sure she's the first who is not a professional model.

Oops, I meant non-model. Thanks, Gordo, for the correction.

Much congratulations to Jennifer Hudson, Forrest Whitaker and Martin Scorcese for their Oscar wins!

-Jennifer Hudson

Anyone who couldn’t say that she deserved her Oscar must be a cold, dead-inside person. After her knock-’em-dead performance in “Dreamgirls’, all I could say is that she had “Oscar” written all over her role.

And I was right.

Martin Scorcese.

A no-brainer. As far as I was concerned, he was the perennial “always a bride’s maid, never a bride” favorite.

Plus the Academy felt that he was looooooooong overdue to join the prestigious group of director’s who’ve given us many unforgettable films.

Best Oscar Actor.

I would have thrown a fit if anyone other than Forrest Whitaker won.

The man is an under-rated, and under-appreciated actor of enormous talents, humility and skills.

It was high-time he was recognized with the highest honor his peers could bestow on him.

Congratulations to all around.

Until next year.

Ciao!

It's been real.
