The Price Of Journalism: Mass Shooting In Orlando!

Mass shooting in Orlando takes the life of local news reporter.

A reporter for Spectrum News and a 9-year old girl were among the victims of a mass shooting in Orlando suburb of Pine Hills. Just in case we get that noise from the far right, I want to acknowledge that the terrorist was caught, the terrorist is a Black man and last time I've checked, the former president said that the press was the "enemy of the people."

Just in case, a troll comes on here trying to blame President Joe Biden or Black Lives Matter for the actions of all Black suspects.

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Ron DeSantis, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) and the U.S. Representatives from Florida were notified of this. 

The name of the news reporter was released.

The suspect(s) are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

What happens when a Black person shoots a white person?

They obviously go to jail and are judged by the junk food media agitators for having some fault in their life. It is common that the far right wants Black America to condemn the actions of one Black extremist, one Black criminal or one Black politician.

According to the far right: White shooters are mentally ill. Black shooters are unrepentant criminals. Gay shooters are active groomers. Muslim shooters are terrorists. Hispanics and Asians shooters are illegal immigrants. Almost all mass shooters are registered Democrats because they have liked one thing common to the left. Of course, extremists often promote disinformation by using the "Sam Hyde" meme as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox and they force it into national news.

The suspect was caught without a bullet fired.

Republicans solutions are more guns, blame others for America's social ills and defect from accepting reality.

With Republicans in charge of the House of Representatives, the only thing they'll offer to every mass shooting is "thoughts and prayers", "our hearts going out to", "the good guy with a gun", and their most common phrase "now it's not the time to politicize these tragedies."

Use the hashtag #ignorethenoise whenever you deal with folks who embrace this.

Spectrum News 13 announced the names of the two TV journalists who were shot while covering a homicide case in Orange County on Wednesday.

Killed was TV reporter Dylan Lyons, a 24-year-old UCF grad and Philadelphia native, who previously worked in Gainesville, while photojournalist Jesse Walden was critically injured, the station announced during its 5 a.m. broadcast.

Lyons and a 9-year-old girl, T’yonna Major, were killed and among four who were shot on Wednesday evening while near a Pine Hills crime scene where a woman had been found shot earlier in the day. The fourth shooting victim was T’yonna’s mother.

Lyons was born and raised in Philadelphia, but moved to Florida to attend the University of Central Florida, earning degrees in journalism and political science. He joined Spectrum News 13 in July, according to his bio on the news station’s website.

“When Dylan’s not at work, you can find him taking advantage of the Orlando area’s many different dining experiences and cuisines,” his Spectrum News 13 bio said. “He especially loves exploring Winter Park, Winter Garden, Celebration and or Downtown Orlando with his family and dog.”

In a remembrance posted to the Spectrum News 13 website, friend and colleague Josh Miller said Lyons “took his job very seriously.”

“He loved his career,” Miller said. “He loved what he did. He loved the community, telling the stories of people, reporting on the news, and he was just passionate about what he did.”

Lyons’ family set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for his funeral.

Orange County Sheriff John Mina said at a news conference Wednesday evening a19-year-old terrorist is believed to have killed the woman whose death Lyons was covering, then returned later and carried out the other shootings.

“No one in our community, not a 9-year-old child or a media professional should become of victim of gun violence,” Mina said.

Dylan Lyons was shot and killed while editing his news report.

Earlier in the day, deputies found 38-year-old Nathacha Augustin shot in a vehicle around 11:17 a.m. in the 6100 block of Hialeah Street. She was pronounced dead.

The terrorist and Augustin were acquaintances, Mina said.

Lyon and Walden were covering that killing for News 13 when Mina said the terrorist walked up to their vehicle around 4:05 p.m. and fired into it, hitting the photographer and reporter. Both were taken to the hospital where Lyons was pronounced dead.

The terrorist then went to a house on Harrington Street nearby and shot T’yonna and her mother, according to Mina. Deputies arrested the terrorist nearby not long after, Mina said.

“I want to acknowledge what a horrible day this has been for the community and our media partners,” Mina said.

The motive for the violence remains unclear.

As they mourned their colleague, the station’s staff continued live reporting Wednesday evening.

“This is extremely devastating for all of us,” reporter Celeste Springer said on air. “But I am proud to have such an amazing team backing all of us. .... Please, please say a prayer tonight for our co-worker who is in critical condition. And while you’re at it, please say a prayer for every victim of gun violence.”

THE JUNK FOOD MEDIA AND POLITICIANS ADD FUEL TO THE FIRE BY AMPING UP POLARIZING RHETORIC. 

An active shooter doesn't care about the politics, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, your finances, your family, your plans that day, your successes, your failures, and most importantly, your life.

The shooter is motivated within seconds to take out as many people as he/she can.

What to do to protect your life.

1. Run - If you hear sounds like firecrackers, popping sounds or suspicious activities around a large gathering (i.e. malls, stores, clubs, public gatherings), if you can flee, run away from the shooter. Do not run in a straight path of the sight. Move around and zig-zag if possible to keep yourself out the line of fire. It's best to not film a shooter commiting the act. If you are willing to risk your life for a viral video, more power to you but its best to stay out of the line of fire by running away.

2. Hide - If you are involved in an active shooting, you must barricade yourself in a room and keep doors locked, lights off, phones on silent. Do not go into restrooms, lockers and kitchens. Those are most likely places where shooters often go. If you can barricade a room to prevent a shooter from getting in, it eliminate the opportunity for the shooter to get through. Make sure you keep your voice low when you're involved in mass shooting. Call 9-1-1 if you can.

3. Fight - If you are willing to risk your life or willing to film the incident, you have no choice but to fight. Make sure you grab something that is powerful enough to disarm a shooter. Do not confront a shooter in the midst of sight. Make yourself not visible if you're trying to fight. Do not think being a "good guy with a gun" is going to stop a bad guy. The cops don't see good guys trying to stop bad guys. They see active shooters and they will shoot anyone who is armed regardless of the matter. If you're ready to fight, be prepared to die. It's best to not be easily seen if you're trying to stop a shooter. If you're a conceal carry and attempt to disarm an active shooter, you are willing to sacrifice your life to save lives. You are willing to go hero, you could die a hero or an idiot.

Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence, monkeypox and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how gun reform is taking away your rights to own firearms.

I don't want to hear that protesting against police killing people of color is hate on cops in general. I don't want to hear talk about the coronavirus being a myth.

When you hear folks say "gun rights," what they really mean is that its white privilege. This good guy with a gun nonsense has to end. The cops didn't do nothing when children were shot inside a school. A security guard was shot dead trying to protect shoppers. A cop accidentally shot his own. The good guy who tried to stop a bad guy is outgunned and a part of the rule #3.

Remember #3 means: The "good guy with a gun" better be prepared to die if they want to stop a shooter.

I don't want to hear folks say masks and vaccine mandates impede their freedoms. It prevents a deadly outbreak from spreading. If you want to die from the coronavirus, that's on you. We lost over 1 million people from the coronavirus.

I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. Cause a bullet does not have eyes and it's always likely gonna hit a target. These folks seem to not get it. These incidents are a tragic part of American history. Thoughts and prayers and your heart going out to the victims is not enough. It quite frankly is an insult. I am also tired of scapegoating Black on Black crime, Chicago, Baltimore and Democratic mayors for the nation's obsession to be numb to gun violence. You pretty much enable this nonsense by deflecting.

Terrorist looks mentally ill but the far right will see it as unrepentant.

President Joe Biden is trying to curb gun violence. However, he has no support from Republicans. Most Democrats and America are for gun control measures. However the two Democrats in the Senate refuse to change the filibuster rules and its holding us back.

The National Rifle Association is always pushing against it. They will not relinquish from the narrative that guns are not saving lives. The Republicans aided by a fickle junk food media are openly encouraging anarchy and disruption in a desperate attempt for the Republicans to win back Congress and the White House. These agitators are calling for Biden to curb crime but will not help him. They want more guns on the street. It makes no sense.

So in closing, expect more.

GUN VIOLENCE IS THE NUMBER ONE PROBLEM IN THE UNITED STATES.

Washed Up 45 Campaigns In East Palestine, Ohio!

What better way to sympathize with people dealing with a tragedy? Offer them McDonald's.

The far right shows their support for politicizing a tragedy. Washed Up 45, Rep. Bill Johnson (R-OH) and Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) held a rally in East Palestine, Ohio. The former president went to troll President Joe Biden and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for not being in an area that's not friendly to Democrats.

In early February, a Norfolk Southern freight train derailed near the Ohio-Pennsylvania border. East Palestine is located on the border of the states. 

Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Mike DeWine, Gov. Josh Shapiro, Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA), Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) and the U.S. Representatives from their respectable districts were informed of this. Biden and the federal government said they will do all they can to help.

DeWine, being pressured by the Republicans denied some of the help. He allowed a controlled burn and the chemicals got into the air and water. But hey, let's blame Biden for something he had no control of.

Republicans seized upon Biden being a "no show" by saying he doesn't care about the working class or he deliberately sabotaged the train.

Washed Up 45 rolled back an Obama era regulation that required trains to have emergency braking established on toxic carriers by 2021. It appears that the blame shifted from Washed Up 45 to Biden because he should have done something says the far-right and far-left.

Washed Up 45 can't do nothing as a private citizen. All he can do, is campaign.

He literally carried the district that once was held by former lawmaker Tim Ryan by 10 points. He also carried Rep. Bill Johnson's (R-OH) district by 20 points.

Vance, a venture capitalist and current senator does absolutely nothing. In the eight weeks of being in office, Vance showed America he can point a firearm in the sky while wearing a Cincinnati Bengals hoodie.

He appeared with the former president to show support. They even went to a local McDonald's where the former president passed out water and Big Macs.

The former president loves Big Macs and Diet Coke.

During his rant, he spent less time talking about the disaster. He rather spent his time trying to claim credit for things he doesn't have control of.

Washed Up 45 decided to use a tragedy for a cheap political stunt.

Wisconsin Special Election Could Decide 2024!

Janet Protasiewicz advances to general election for Supreme Court of Wisconsin.

Gov. Tony Evers of Wisconsin is counting on Democrats to come out in April. He believes the state's Republican Party went too far and it appears the special primaries that covered an open state senate seat and an open state supreme court seat went in the right direction.

A Republican lawmaker endorsed by Washed Up 45 was defeated Tuesday by a fellow state legislator in a three-way GOP primary for an open state senate seat representing Milwaukee’s northern suburbs.

State Rep. Dan Knodl of Germantown beat Washed Up 45-backed state Rep. Janel Brandtjen and Thienesville Village President Van Mobley in the 8th Senate District primary. He advances to face Democrat Jodi Habush Sinykin in the April 4 general election. The winner will get the seat.

Knodl was first elected to the Assembly in 2008. He served as assistant majority leader in 2011 and 2015 and as the majority caucus chair in 2017 and 2019.

His win ends Brandtjen’s attempt to revive a political career that came crashing down last fall when Assembly Republicans banned her from their caucus.

Brandtjen's peddled in conspiracy theories; openly called for overturning the results of the 2020 election; refuse to call Joe Biden, the President of the United States; backed the Republican challenger of a top leader and paid the price for it.

She pressured Speaker Robin Vos to do more to overturn the results and name Washed Up 45 the winner.

The rift between her and Vos grew and she threw her support behind Vos’ primary opponent last summer. Vos survived reelection and Assembly Republicans punished Brandtjen for her disloyalty by barring her from their caucus in November.

The 8th Senate District seat came open in November after longtime Republican incumbent Alberta Darling chose to retire. Evers scheduled a special election to fill the slot to coincide with the state’s spring Supreme Court election.

Protasiewicz will face off against Daniel Kelly, a far right agitator who refuses the 2020 election results.

A Republican victory in April would give Senate Republicans a two-thirds majority, which would be enough votes to override gubernatorial vetoes, although any such efforts would be symbolic at best since an override would also need a two-thirds vote in the Assembly, where Republicans are two seats short of the 66 needed.

But under the Wisconsin Constitution, a two-thirds Senate majority would give Republicans enough votes to convict “civil officers” in impeachment trials. The state constitution doesn’t define civil officers. The state Supreme Court has ruled that the term doesn’t include legislators, but the constitution makes specific mention of the governor as an impeachable officer.

Daniel Kelly, an ally of Washed Up 45 who advised Republicans on legal efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential race has advanced to the Wisconsin Supreme Court general election, putting him one step closer to a seat on the powerful bench.

Daniel Kelly is a former state Supreme Court justice with connections to a plan hatched by the former president's allies to reverse the 2020 election results in Wisconsin through the use of “fake electors.” He was one of two candidates to advance in Tuesday’s Supreme Court primary, according to projections by The Associated Press.

The other to move forward was liberal candidate Janet Protasiewicz, a Milwaukee County circuit judge who was endorsed by the Democratic abortion rights group Emily’s List.

Protasiewicz and Kelly will face off in an April 4 general election that will determine political control of the court — and, with it, the future of many pivotal issues the court is likely to decide in the coming years, including abortion rights, elections and gerrymandering. The winner is elected to a 10-year term.

Although the court and its members are technically nonpartisan, conservatives hold a 4-3 majority. But with conservative Justice Patience Roggensack retiring, that majority hangs in the balance.

There has not been a liberal majority on the court in 15 years, and Democrats see the election as a prime opportunity to shift the balance.

Kelly was one of two conservative candidates in the primary election; the other, Jennifer Dorow, is a Waukesha County circuit judge best known in the state for having presiding over the criminal trial of Darrell Brooks, who was convicted last year of killing six people at a Waukesha Christmas parade in 2021 when he crashed his SUV into the crowd.

Welcome Jennifer McClellan!

Rep-elect Jennifer McClellan (D-VA) will be sworn in by Friday.

Virginia state senator Jennifer McClellan will be elected to fill the remaining term of the late congressman Donald McEachin. The Democrat defeat perennial loser, Washed Up 45 supporting pastor Leon Benjamin, Jr.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) will swear her in.

Her top issues included the environment, abortion access and voting rights. Benjamin ran on education, more significant funding for police to combat crime and restricting abortion access.

McClellan will be the first African American woman from Virginia to serve in Congress.

She will represent the 4th Congressional District which includes: Richmond, Petersburg and Emporia.

“We will make this Commonwealth and this country a better place for everyone,” McClellan said in her victory speech, according to ABC affiliate WRIC. “I am ready to get to work. I have a little work to do down the street, but when we are done, I am ready to fight for you in Congress for as long as you will have me. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

Benjamin, a pastor, previously ran for the seat and lost to McEachin in November, shortly before his death after being diagnosed with cancer.

McClellan received endorsements from Virginia's entire Democratic congressional delegation including Speaker emeritus, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) and Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA).

She is similar to Rep. Mary Peltola (D-AK), Rep. Shontel Brown (D-OH), Rep. Lucy McBath (D-GA), Rep. Nikema Williams (D-GA) and Rep. Lauren Underwood (D-IL). Stay focus on the job and ignoring the noise.

She won't be like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA), Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) and Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA). They are noise and not substance. They are the ones who drive Republicans and far right agitators to the polls on the fears of socialism, defund the police and in your face politics.

Mind you, 89% of the Republicans do actually work and 11% of them are noise makers or raging lunatics.

Closeted Bigot Trashes LGBTQ For Click Bait!

Closeted bigot is terrorizing Phoenix.

Closeted bigot Ethan Schmidt-Crockett is a right wing extremist who parades around Arizona trashing retailers that have LGBTQ support. He is often filming himself along with a former Pred Poacher harassing people who are supportive of gay rights. He harasses Black people and tears up books on Black culture. He harasses people who wear masks in public. He harasses women who find him unattractive. He harasses gay men and transgender women because he's secretly interested in them but represses it.

Schmidt often learns the hard way of trying to achieve fame. He is unemployed. He has a criminal record and is on the FBI's watchlist of domestic extremists.

But it doesn't bother him.

It appears this asshole can't stop embarrassing himself when he is a private business.

He has made it his mission to "hunt LGBTQ" inside Target stores.

He has vandalized stores and took down themes that identify with Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ and immigrant.

Another Bratty!

Da Brat pregnant.

Shawntae Harris-Dupart known as Da Brat, the media personality, rapper and producer is pregnant. The 48 year old media personality came out in 2020 but was well known among her closest allies Jermaine Dupri and Bow Wow. She and wife Jesseka Harris-Dupart have been married for nearly a year now.

Da Brat said that she “never thought” she was going to have children. “I just thought it wasn’t in the cards for me. I’ve had a great career, a full life. I felt like, because I didn’t get pregnant earlier on, then it just wasn’t going to happen for me.”

The pregnancy eventually happened after some convincing from Harris-Dupart. “We had a little tug-o-war in the beginning…but I felt like she should have the experience,” Harris-Dupart recalled. “She is so nurturing.”

Da Brat added that the experience is “a blessing.” She continued, “I’m excited!… I don’t have any cravings or nausea… but I’m always sleepy. It’s crazy!”

Da Brat talked about her sexuality in 2020. She said that it was risky at the time when she wanted to open up about dating women. I mean she had a brief romantic relationships with men.

She spent three years in the iron college for hitting a woman over the head with a bottle. The woman rejected Da Brat's advances and they got into a confrontation.

Insufferable Lawmaker Calls For Republican-Led States To Divorce The U.S.A. Now!

I really wish she stopped being in the news.

Still upset over Sheryl Lee Ralph singing "Let Every Voice" at the Super Bowl. 

The controversial Georgia lawmaker who barely does any work other than her goddamn mouth now decides to complain about the song. She is upset over President Joe Biden not visiting East Palestine, Ohio and but does a surprise visit to Ukraine which was really risky. 

She calls these incidents impeachable.

She even called for states to secede from the United States. Clearly unaware that if states choose to leave the union and form their own government, they will immediately lose their U.S. citizenship, they will have to enter in a free association to have military assistance, and they will have to pay high tariffs if they continue to use the U.S. dollar as their currency.

Free association places include the Federated States of Micronesia, Palau and the Marshall Islands.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) recently divorced her husband after it was revealed she had an affair with Right Broadcasting News Network agitator Brian Glenn. He divorced his wife after the affair was revealed. The two are dating despite both of them denying they were.

Greene lacks the ability to govern. She is a total embarrassment to the folks in Northwest Georgia. She barely spends time in the 14th Congressional District. She is trying to build a national profile for herself by appearing on Fox and other far right outlets in preparation of a 2024 presidential run.

Greene posted on social media to complain about how Democratic-led states are ruining America and she is calling for a national divorce of red states from the country.

“We need a national divorce. We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government,” said Greene in a tweet. “Everyone I talk to says this. From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s traitorous America Last policies, we are done.”

The U.S. fought a civil war in the 1860s after a group of southern states tried to secede to preserve the legal enslavement of Black people.

Republicans support succession favorably. This often happens when Democrats take control of the White House. This happened during Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and now Joe Biden's presidency.

ACORN Pimp got slapped. 

James O'Keefe resigns from Project Veritas after a wave of scandals forced top leaders to oust the founder. O'Keefe had used funds for his own interests, he didn't pay operatives, he had sexually predatory behavior towards women, he spat on workers, he stole a dinner from a pregnant worker and has been using side time to his failing acting career.

In 2009, O'Keefe along with then girlfriend Hannah Giles portrayed themselves as a pimp and prostitute to infiltrate ACORN, an autonomous community-based organization that advocated for low- and moderate-income families by working on neighborhood safety, voter registration, health care, affordable housing, and other social issues. 

In reality, O'Keefe, two male operatives and Giles were dressed like normal secretly recording workers. They asked stupid questions and tried to bait workers into committing criminal acts.

ACORN exists but is inactive in the U.S. after Congress stripped funding. Many organizations on the far right seized upon the videos. Breitbart in particular grew from this. The controversial founder Andrew Breitbart would promote the videos on Fox and it led to an imaginary scandal plaguing Barack Obama.

O'Keefe led an organization devoted to exposing liberals. Many of his tactics were mostly selective editing, pranks and illegal trespassing. He was arrested in 2010 after trying to bug the office of then senator Mary Landrieu. He ended up getting a in house.

I guess he did not learn his lesson. He is under federal watch for allegedly stealing the diary of Ashley Biden and two stooges tried to sell it.

The two Florida residents pleaded guilty to selling a diary and other items from President Joe Biden’s daughter to Project Veritas for $40,000, prosecutors said. As part of its investigation, the FBI searched the group’s New York offices and the homes of some employees in 2021.

It has now led to his ouster.

In remarks that appeared to have been made at a Project Veritas’ office, O’Keefe said the board had stripped him of all decision-making. The move comes after the board reportedly put him on leave from his role as chairman amid complaints about his treatment of staff at the organization, which is known for using hidden cameras and hiding identities to try to ensnare journalists in embarrassing conversations and to reveal supposed liberal bias.

“So currently, I have no job at Project Veritas,” O’Keefe said in the video. “I have no position here based upon what the board has done. So I’m announcing to you all that today on President’s Day, I’m packing up my personal belongings.”

In a statement released later Monday, the group’s board of directors said it had uncovered “financial malfeasance” and accused O’Keefe of spending “an excessive amount of donor funds in the last three years on personal luxuries.”

According to the group, those included “$14,000 on a charter flight to meet someone to fix his boat under the guise of meeting with a donor”; $60,000 in losses from dance events; more than $150,000 “in Black Cars in the last 18 months”; and others.

The statement added that O’Keefe had been suspended in recent weeks. It said he was invited to meet with the board to discuss financial issues and staff retention and morale, but he ignored those entreaties and “today ... decided to remove his belongings from Project Veritas headquarters.”

O’Keefe, who choked up and wiped away tears during his remarks in the video, said several times that the nearly 45-minute speech was for staff internally, but it was posted on the Vimeo platform.

The announcement comes after the group’s executive director and several board members put out a statement last week saying that “a number of our staff members provided leadership with some verbal feedback describing real management concerns regarding the treatment of people and our internal processes.”

Project Veritas, which identifies itself as a news organization, is best known for its hidden camera stings that have embarrassed news outlets, labor organizations and Democratic politicians. O’Keefe founded the nonprofit group 13 years ago, and its most recent IRS filings provided to charity regulators in Florida show it brought in more than $20 million in revenue in 2021.

Neither Project Veritas nor any staffers have been charged with a crime, and the group has said its activities were protected by the First Amendment.

Messages seeking comment were left with O’Keefe, the group’s executive director, and attorneys for Project Veritas and O’Keefe, as well as other officials with the organization, which is based in Mamaroneck, New York.

Biden In Kyiv!


President's Day.

President Joe Biden is going to address the Ukraine-Russia conflict. He is expected to arrive in Poland. But he made a surprise trip to Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. He appeared with Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelensky. 

Biden has been itching to visit Ukraine for months, particularly after several of his counterparts in Europe all endured lengthy train journeys to meet with Zelensky in Kyiv. French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, as well as former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, have all made visits to the country to demonstrate their support.

The highly secretive visit – which took place as air raid sirens could be heard ringing out around Kyiv while Biden walked alongside Zelensky around the gold-domed St. Michael’s Cathedral – comes at a critical moment in the 12-month conflict, with Russia preparing for an expected spring offensive and Ukraine hoping to soon retake territory.

Biden announced a half-billion dollars in new assistance, saying the package would include more military equipment, such as artillery ammunition, more javelins and Howitzers. And he said new sanctions would be imposed on Moscow later this week.

“One year later, Kyiv stands. And Ukraine stands. Democracy stands,” Biden said.

The United States and other Western nations have been rushing arms, tanks and ammunition to Ukraine in the hopes of changing the trajectory of the war. By visiting in person, Biden is offering a singular image of American support for Zelensky, who has spent the past year attempting to rally the world behind his nation and appealing for greater levels of assistance.

Jake Sullivan, Biden's National Security Adviser worked behind the scenes to get the trip planned. Going into an active war zone with Russian military willing to strike anything in the air was really risky for Biden.

Biden’s public schedule didn’t reflect the trip, and White House officials repeatedly said last week that a visit to Ukraine was not in the works.

Biden only decided on Friday to go ahead with the visit after huddling with top members of his national security team in the Oval Office. A few hours before he departed, the United States informed Russia of the plans to visit the Ukrainian capital for “deconfliction purposes,” according to Sullivan.

Biden was presented with a range of options for a visit to Ukraine, but decided that a trip to Kyiv made the most sense, a source familiar with the matter said. As Biden was briefed over several months on the planning for a potential visit, the source said that Biden only once expressed concern about the risk of a visit to Ukraine – but that was about the extent to which his visit could endanger others, rather than about his own safety. Other officials were obviously extremely concerned about Biden’s own safety and prepared a series of security contingency plans.

On Saturday evening, before he departed, Biden went out to dinner with his wife in Washington. He wasn’t seen in public again until arriving in Kyiv on Monday morning.

Ukraine is an active war zone where the US military has no control, making Monday’s visit different from previous presidential trips to Iraq or Afghanistan. White House officials had repeatedly ruled out a visit earlier in the year.

The Friday session in the Oval Office was the culmination of months of work by a tiny handful of Biden’s top aides to plan the trip around the anniversary of the start of the war. The planning included the chief of staff’s office, the National Security Council and the White House Military Office, with input from a small number of officials at the US Secret Service, the Pentagon and the Intelligence Community, according to deputy national security adviser Jon Finer.

Biden was regularly briefed on the plans for the trip, including threat assessments, as the visit came together.

Discussions between the White House and the “highest levels of the Ukrainian government” helped bring the trip over the finish line.

“He was satisfied the risk was manageable,” Sullivan said.

“This was a risk that Joe Biden wanted to take,” said communications director Kate Bedingfield. “It’s important to him to show up, even when it’s hard, and he directed his team to make it happen no matter how challenging the logistics.”

Biden traveled with a relatively small entourage, including Sullivan, deputy chief of staff Jen O’Malley Dillon and personal aide Annie Tomasini.

Zelensky himself traveled to Washington in December to meet Biden in the Oval Office and speak to a joint session of Congress – his first trip outside Ukraine since the war began.

The Ukrainian leader invited Biden to visit Kyiv months ago, saying he believed it was important for the US leader to see the situation up close.

I know some here in the U.S. are going to attack Biden for being in Ukraine and not East Palestine, Ohio, the site of one of the country's most disastrous train derailments in history.

First things first, the federal government is on the ground and is working with Ohio's officials. Gov. Mike DeWine said Biden is offering everything the government can offer and if necessary, he would come. 

Second, why come when all he is going to expect is "Let's Go Brandon" nonsense. 

Third, if the president came to Ohio, the idiotic critics will say its a photo-op.

Lastly, Norfolk Southern and the company responsible for having the toxic chemicals are the responsible parties. It's not Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's fault, it's not NTSB's fault, it's not the EPA's fault or the Democratic Party's fault.

Washed Up 45 is making a campaign stop in East Palestine to troll Biden. As he was the president from 2017 until 2021, during his term he rolled back the emergency break regulations that would have prevented trains from derailment.

Dollar General Growing!

Dollar General is expanding locations but not without controversy.

Walmart and Kroger are the largest retail grocers in the United States. When they leave a community, they leave an impact. Not only a ghost box store but within five miles, other businesses close up shop and it leaves food deserts and vacancy lots.

Tennessee based discount store, Dollar General is expanding and it moving into territories where major grocers left. The company is based in Goodlettsville, a suburb of Nashville.

There are nearly 20,000 stores in the U.S. and it seems like Dollar General will build or occupy old grocery and pharmacy properties. They are sprouting up like 7-Eleven locations. 

They plan on opening up 1,100 stores this year alone. They will close their classic stores.

Classic stores are locations inside a shopping center or an insignificant structure location.

Many Dollar General stores are now offering produce, fresh meat and alcoholic beverages at some of their locations.

In Ohio, the State Auditor Keith Fabor and Attorney General Dave Yost have sued Dollar General for deceptive pricing at stores in Dayton, Columbus, Toledo and Cleveland.

Several locations are closing at least temporarily. 

“[They] are shutting down to re-tag all their shelf prices — exactly the reason we sued them,” Yost wrote on Twitter. “Glad to see this first step — but we are going to insist on the court order to enforce continued compliance with Ohio’s market fairness laws.”

“Dollar General closed select stores this morning to address an overnight systems error,” a spokesperson wrote. “This issue has been resolved and all impacted stores are now open to continue serving our customers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

Yost’s lawsuit preceding the store closures focused on what he called deceptive pricing practices at Dollar General. With 12 different consumer complaints in hand, his office accused the company’s stores of listing items at a certain price on shelves, but sometimes charging more or double at the register. Franklin County Auditor Michael Stinziano took legal action of his own in December after Yost sued the month prior. His inspectors found pricing discrepancies at eight out of 10 stores checked, and placed stickers warning of overcharging on their cash registers.

The Dollar General corporate office and its legal team responded on Jan. 9 with a motion to dismiss the lawsuit from the state. Court records show Dollar General followed up with a repeated motion to dismiss on Thursday, and claimed the state showed no proof with its accusations. Further, the defense added that overcharging at its stores is actually legal.

Dayton is No. 2 city in the state for food deserts. Youngstown is the No. 1 city in the state for food deserts.

Drunk A** Lawmaker Ronny Jackson Still Acting Like He's The White House Physician!

We can say Ronny Jackson is on the sauce.

Two can play this game.

I am not a doctor, a criminologist or a counselor. I am a guy blogging about issues in my community, within the government and through the junk food media.

I don't know the president or this white nationalist lawmaker from Texas. But given his record of doing absolutely nothing and often making the news for doing something controversial, it gives me something to blog about.

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) was once a good friend of former president Barack Obama and then vice president Joe Biden. He served as the White House Physician from 2013 until 2018. He was going to be Secretary of Veterans Affairs but withdrew after allegations of improper behavior. He has allegations of over prescribing medication, sexual predatory behavior and alcohol abuse.

He allegedly handed out Ambien, Provigil, and other prescription drugs "like they were candy".

CNN also reported that during an overseas trip in 2015, an intoxicated Jackson loudly knocked on a female employee's hotel room door so noisily that the Secret Service reportedly stopped him to prevent him potentially waking up Obama. 

In response to the CNN story, ABC News reported that the Secret Service had no records of any incidents involving Jackson causing commotions at hotels in 2015 when Secret Service personnel were guarding Obama. 

Washed Up 45 responded during a news conference the next day, calling Jackson "one of the finest people that I have met" but also hinting that Jackson might drop out, while blaming Democrats for mounting an unfair attack on his record. Since that, Jackson became one of the most loyal members of MAGA. He already endorses his 2024 campaign.

The former vice president is now our current president is dealing with numerous crises here and around the world. It is a stressful job and a thankless job when it comes to the critics of his policies.

The thing that keeps Jackson up all night is conspiracy theories about Biden's health.

Dr. Kevin O'Connor, physician to the current president, on Thursday issued a summary of Biden's health status following a "comprehensive review" of his medical history and "detailed physical examination" at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.

Ronny Jackson needs an ice cream cone.

O'Connor concluded that Biden "remains a healthy, vigorous, 80-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the [duties] of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief."

According to Jackson, it's a "cover up."

Biden, a self admitted stutter said that he has to learn ways to control his stuttering.

The physical notably included skin cancer surveillance, with one small lesion being removed from the president's chest and sent for a biopsy. It also included an "extremely detailed" and "reassuring" neurological exam that found no "cerebellar or central neurological disorder."

Jackson is pandering in Russian propaganda and white supremacy. The folks in North Texas voted for this moron. 

Was he offering meds to the voters?
