Floriduh!

If the hurricane doesn't get him, his job will.

Hurricane Ian does not stop for stupidity. Here's the latest of white privilege and stupidity in full highlight.

So let's get it straight, take hurricanes seriously.

You can lose your life within seconds.

President Joe Biden and Gov. Karen DeSantis confirm that this is one of the deadliest hurricane in Florida's history. They have an unconfirmed report of nearly 200 people killed. Only a mere week ago, DeSantis was taunting Biden by sending migrants to Delaware.

Now he finally has to be a governor for once.

The president has already confirmed that the federal government is at the ready for hurricane damage and repairs.

Social media shows the idiocy of some of these Americans.

Hurricane Ian is now pass the state of Florida. Now it expect that become a category 2 storm when it approaches Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina.

Trevor Noah To Leave The Daily Show!

An iconic comedian is stepping down from The Daily Show. Trevor Noah is leaving the show soon.

After seven years, Trevor Noah is expected to leave The Daily Show. The South African comedian is expected to leave the show at some point and Paramount Global will now search for a replacement.

I am shocked!

Love Trevor Noah!

In a video statement shared on Twitter Thursday, Noah said that after seven years as host of the Comedy Central satirical news program, his “time is up.”

“It’s been absolutely amazing. It’s something that I never expected,” Noah said of his experience hosting the show. “I found myself thinking throughout the time of everything we’ve gone through. The Trump presidency, the pandemic, just the journey, more pandemic and I realize that after the seven years, my time is up.”

Thus, a shocking moment in television.

Noah took over for Jon Stewart when the comedian stepped down after working there for 16 years. He became the first African to host a American comedy primetime program.

His show takes in over 4 million viewers and he often took on the noise from Fox, Washed Up 45, President Joe Biden and the hypocrisy.

“I want to say thank you to you, to you who watched this,” Noah said. “I never dreamed that I would be here. I sort of feel like ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’ I came here for a tour of what the previous show was and then the next thing you know I was handed the keys.”

Noah hinted that his decision to leave the show is rooted in his desire to return to more standup work.

“I spent two years in my apartment, not on the road, and when I got back out there, I realized there’s another part of my life out there that I want to carry on exploring. I miss learning other languages. I miss going to other countries and putting on shows,” Noah said.

He expressed his gratitude to his viewers, “The Daily Show” team and to Comedy Central, “who believed in this random comedian nobody knew on this side of the world.”

“I’ve loved hosting this show, it’s been one of my greatest challenges and one of my greatest joys,” Noah said. “I’ve loved trying to find a way to make people laugh, even when the stories are particularly shitty, even on the worst days. We’ve laughed together, we’ve cried together.”

He did not share when his final show would be, but said he’d still be around for awhile.

“Don’t worry, I’m not disappearing,” Noah said. “If I owe you money, I’ll still pay you.”

Thank you Trevor..... We gonna miss you!

Stick To The Message!

Republicans resort to dog whistle politics this midterm election.

Republicans love to stay on message. Their message is inflation, crime and open borders.

They offer no plans on how to combat these issues. The only plan is to scapegoat and use culture wars to scare white voters and depressing people of color from voting. The Commitment to America was rolled out and I guess Republicans are engaged. The Republicans are rolling out a mass ad campaign to paint Democrats as the party of crime, socialism, open borders, inflation, mandates, etc.

The noise that keeps Republicans engaged in voting.

As Democrats are trying to stay on message about democracy being on the line, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Sen. Karen Sinema (D-AZ), Sen. Karen Manchin (D-WV) and the Squad keep fucking up the momentum.

Republicans are intensifying their focus on crime and public safety, hoping to shift the debate onto political terrain that many of the party’s strategists and candidates view as favorable. The strategy seeks to capitalize on some voters’ fears about safety — after a pandemic-fueled crime surge that in some cities has yet to fully recede. But it has swiftly drawn criticism as a return to sometimes deceptive or racially divisive messaging.

So fentanyl is being masqueraded as candy.

While President Joe Biden was discussing his policies to decrease inflation, Hurricane Ian, the Inflation Reduction Act which lowered Medicare and Medicaid costs, Fox pivoted to drug trafficking and Halloween candy.

CNN and MSNBC covered the president, Fox discussed the border, liberal elites, Hillary Clinton and fentanyl. All part of the Republican Party's plan to make the issues not about Washed Up 45, having election deniers on the ballot, women losing the right to safe termination, using immigrants as pawns and embracing white nationalism.

The DEA said drug traffickers have expanded their inventory to sell fentanyl - a synthetic opioid 50 times more potent than heroin - in a variety of bright colors, shapes and sizes.

A recent seizure in Connecticut found 15,000 fentanyl pills stashed in Skittles and Nerds packaging, and with Halloween just weeks away, the DEA is urging parents to be vigilant.

The agency have sent a stern warning to parents to educate themselves as children prepare for the spooky season, with a former specialist warning that 'this is not a drug issue, it's a mass poisoning.'

During the period of May 23 to September 8 this year, 10.2 million fentanyl pills and about 980 pounds of fentanyl powder were seized by the the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as part of the One Pill Can Kill initiative.

Of the 390 cases investigated during this period, 51 cases have been linked to overdose poisonings and 35 cases link directly to one or both of the primary Mexican cartels responsible for the majority of fentanyl in the United States – the Sinaloa Cartel and the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

The U.S. Border and Customs Agency has stopped thousands of illegal drugs from entry but some slip through. Republicans obsess with the fact that it was stopped not entered into the country.

It is a play upon suburban white voters who feel inflation and crime are real issues.

Inflation is worldwide. Crime has been up since 2018 but has declined in recent years.

The migrant caravans are the usual pivot Fox does. It takes off the victories Biden achieved over the past month.

With the Inflation Reduction Act passed, enabled policies start within months.

Republicans act like things should began the moment a law is passed. It never stops with the noise the Republicans and conservative agitating media.

Fox Calls Puerto Rico A Dirty......!

The U.S. still helping Puerto Rico after Hurricane Fiona.

Puerto Rico is a Caribbean island with a majority Spanish speaking population and a self-autonomous U.S. territory. It is a commonwealth and unincorporated territory.

While many look at Puerto Rico as a country, the U.S. officially regard it as a part of its sovereignty. It has a governor, a U.S. Representative who is a resident commissioner and a territorial government.

Those living on the island are U.S. citizens. However they have limited rights due to the Insular Act which forbids them from voting in the presidential elections.

Hurricane Fiona hit the island and damaged the grid. The island was declare a state of emergency by President Joe Biden and FEMA is there trying to restore the power grid.

Now as Hurricane Ian is ravaging through Florida, the controversial governor Karen DeSantis has pledged that state and federal assistance is coming. He had talked to the president but never credited him for the rapid response in preparation of the devastating cyclone.
Dingbat.

Fox which is grooming the governor to run for president in 2024. They happened to run live coverage and its host made a freudian slip when discussing Ian destroying neighboring Cuba's power grid and Puerto Rico's power grid by Fiona.

Karen McCallum: You saw what happened in Cuba, I mean, the entire island is completely out of power. And it gives you — you know, you feel terrible for people in Puerto Rico who were just hit, in Cuba who were just hit. Thank God we have better infrastructure in our country. We’ve put a lot of investment into making sure that we’re ready for these things. But it’s an act of nature, and you never know exactly what to expect.

Puerto Ricans believe the federal government will ignore them for Florida. They have not forgotten the failures of leadership when Hurricane Maria hit the island in 2017.

Washed Up 45 was angered by criticism, he threatened to pull funding. He wanted to allocate money to purchasing self-autonomous Greenland.

Even Her Husband Can't Stand Her!

The white nationalist divorces her husband.

The white nationalist lawmaker is too extreme for her family. The do-nothing Rep. Idiot Karen Greene (R-GA) confirms she and her husband are heading to divorce land.

The petition, filed in the Floyd County, Georgia, court, said the marriage was “irretrievably broken” and indicated that the couple, who have been married for 27 years, had been separated for some time.

The white nationalist said in a statement: “Marriage is a wonderful thing and I’m a firm believer in it. Our society is formed by a husband and wife creating a family to nurture and protect. Together, Perry and I formed our family and raised three great kids. He gave me the best job title you can ever earn: Mom. I’ll always be grateful for how great of a dad he is to our children. This is a private and personal matter and I ask that the media respect our privacy at this time.”

Husband Perry Greene said, Marjorie has been my best friend for the last 29 years and she has been an amazing mom!” it said. “Our family is our most important thing we have done. As we go on different paths we will continue to focus on our 3 incredible kids and their future endeavors and our friendship.”

The allegations of cheating were well known.

The white extremist cheated on her husband with a spiritual guru and a manager of her fitness club.

The couple has three children together: Lauren, Taylor, and Derek.

The QAnon and conspiracy theory enthusiast was allegedly unfaithful to her spouse with "brazen" affairs a decade ago, DailyMail.com reported.

Greene's former boss at the CrossFit gym in Alpharetta, Georgia, billionaire Jim Chambers, claimed to the Mail she had the affairs when she worked for him in 2012, the first being with "Tantric Warrior" Craig Ivey.

"She was part of the staff I inherited," the 36-year-old businessman explained.

"She wasn't someone who needed a paycheck. She was working as a trade – she got free membership and access and the opportunity to learn the business.

The white nationalist lawmaker is the least effective member of the House of Representatives. Since she was stripped of her committees in 2021, Greene has done nothing more than troll on social media and appear at Washed Up 45 rallies.

Some of these lawmakers will easily win their elections despite the controversies they carry. Some will move on to become commentators, activists or figures in a government role.

Greene is expected to win her bid for another term. If Republicans do retake the House, she will be given a committee and Republicans will strip Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and Eric Swalwell of their committee chairs.

Coolio Passed Away!

Coolio passed away in Los Angeles.

The legendary rapper and actor Coolio passed away at the age of 59. The Associated Press had confirmed that the entertainer died unexpectedly. One of the biggest names in hip-hop in the 1990s, he made the smash hit, "Gangsta's Paradise" which came off the Dangerous Minds soundtrack.

Coolio's manager Jarez Posey said that Coolio passed away at a home of a friend in Los Angeles. The cause was not immediately clear. Coolio originally was member of WC and the Maad Circle, consisting of rap legend WC, his brother Big Gee and DJ Crazy Toones before striking it out on his own.

Coolio won a Grammy for best solo rap performance because of Gangsta Paradise.

The album sampled the Stevie Wonder track, "Pastime Paradise" and was considered an iconic song on MTV.

Coolio who stayed close to Tupac Shakur did not engage in the infamous "East Coast vs. West Coast" feud. The feud cost the lives of Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G.

Born Artis Leon Ivey, Jr. in Monessen, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Pittsburgh as a child before he moved to Compton. He spent time in Northern California at some point of his teen years where his mother felt he would run into the wrong crowd if he stayed in Compton.

Coolio's single was parodied by "Weird Al" Yankovic and it started a feud between the two. Weird Al and Coolio did end up making peace after nearly 10 years.

Coolio had also a part in acting.

His best known roles included Futurama, Coolio's Rules, Malcolm & Eddie, Static Shock, Batman & Robin and Judgment Day.

Coolio leaves behind six children.

Not Going Up!

Costco's Kirkland Hot dogs and Soda combo stays the same (for now).

Costco is confirming that their $1.50 hot dog and soda combo will stay the same.

Everything else might go up.

Costco members have gotten a beef hot dog and a Pepsi on their way out after purchasing bulk items from their local store. They had fears that with skyrocketing beef prices, the hot dogs are going to increase.

Costco CFO Richard Galanti was asked whether the retailer would look at increasing the price of its all-beef frank as it aims to deal with tightening margins.

"Some businesses that are doing well with margin ... those things help us be more aggressive in other areas, or, as you mentioned, hold the price on the hot dog and the soda a little longer — forever," he said.

Now other items in the food court have increased. Buying a pizza slice or a chicken bake have went up 20%.

I guess there's an offset to the cost of keeping things the way it is.

Dollar Tree had to break its Everything is a $1 pledge in 2020 during the pandemic. They have now started selling products at $1.25 or higher. They cited inflation, delivery costs and the supply chain. Also keeping good workers is also an issue as well.

Welcome To The Hood!

Party in the hood.

Florida looks like a penis and its governor is a dick.

As Hurricane Ian approaches Florida, the junk food media will take a moment from partisan noise to focus on the safety of 28 million residents living in the state most likely to experience massive climate change events.

Its governor Karen DeSantis is a controversial figure. He is considering a 2024 run.

He is likely to win his bid for reelection. We can stop it if we vote and vote like our lives depend on it. Vote for Charlie Crist. If he fails, Florida is no longer a swing state for Democrats and the likelihood the electoral college could favor Republicans in the near future.

DeSantis already facing heat for flying migrants seeking asylum to Massachusetts in a stunt to make issues about the border. Florida does not have a land border. It's closest countries are islands. The Bahamas and Cuba are countries that seem to not be on the mind of Florida's governor.

So a small controversy is brewing but it will likely stay on social media.

A Gadsden County official is out after a photo of him surfaces. He was wearing a full Klan outfit and his friends were partying in blackface.

The irony.

Gadsden County religious leaders are demanding a local commissioner and DeSantis "come forward" to address allegations that the commissioner resigned last Friday after a photo surfaced purportedly showing him wearing a Klan robe and hood at what could have been a Halloween party years earlier.

Klan Moore, a Havana resident and former Department of Revenue employee, was appointed by DeSantis in late July and abruptly resigned from the post in Florida’s only predominantly Black county after the photo began circulating in the local community.

Moore, the only Republican on the five-member board, also ended his campaign for the District 2 race, which was to be decided in the Nov. 8 general election.

Three years ago, another DeSantis-appointed official resigned from office after a similar incident involving a leaked photo. Karen Ertel, the secretary of state, resigned after photos emerged of him posing as a Hurricane Katrina victim in blackface years earlier at a private Halloween party.

And They Will Likely Elect Her!

More noise from Georgia's least productive lawmaker.

Rep. Idiot Karen Greene (R-GA) decides to flex her firearms and her noise once again in a bid for 2024.

Greene is considering a potential run for president.

Instead of worrying about her constituents in her district, she heads to Texas for a feral hog shoot. The state has an invasive hog that is destroying farmland. That is something for the Texas delegation to deal with not a lawmaker from Georgia.

Greene decided on Tuesday to launched a competition to join her hunting for feral hogs in Texas. In a video shared on Facebook, the white nationalist lawmaker likened Democrats to the wild animals that tear up farmers’ crops.

“We’ve got skyrocketing inflation, high diesel fuel and Democrats’ America-last policies,” said Greene, who has been stripped of her House committee assignments over her use of violent rhetoric, including toward Democrats.

Instead of "stop socialism," now she reverts to "stop communism." She has no fucking clue what these economic terms means. She just wants to make sure you're scared of things.

Greene is one of 90 lawmakers who I deem as noise. They have no accomplishments other than appearing on television and social media stroking flames of division.

For every Greene, there's a do-nothing Rep. Karen Cawthorn (R-NC), Rep. Karen Boebert (R-CO), Rep. Karen Gaetz (R-FL), Rep. Karen Jordan (R-OH), Rep. Bycoon Donalds (R-FL), Rep. Karen Biggs (R-AZ), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA), Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY), Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA), Rep. Karen Van Duyne (R-TX), Rep. Karen Babbin (R-TX), Rep. Karen Gohmert (R-TX), Rep. Karen Gosar (R-AZ) and Rep. Karen Miller (R-IL).

Lawmakers who do nothing more than noise. Ineffective, loud, divisive, destructive and potentially dangerous figures.

Some of these lawmakers will easily win their elections despite the controversies they carry. Some will move on to become commentators, activists or figures in a government role.

Greene is expected to win her bid for another term. If Republicans do retake the House, she will be given a committee and Republicans will strip Omar, Tlaib and Swalwell of their committee chairs.

Biden Declares State Of Emergency In Florida!

Bracing for impact on the Florida panhandle.

President Joe Biden has declared a state of emergency for Florida. He has promised its governor and state authorities the necessary means as a deadly hurricane approaches.

Okay, Karen DeSantis, the controversial Florida governor now needs the U.S. government to assist his state in preparation of a major hurricane. Hurricane Ian may become a Category 4 storm approaching the Tampa/St. Petersburg/Clearwater area. The region has over 5 million residents.

Catastrophic storm surges could push as much as 18 feet (3.6 meters) to 16 feet (4.9 meters) of water over a nearly 100-mile stretch of coastline, from Bonita Beach north through Fort Myers and Charlotte Harbor to Englewood, the hurricane center warned. Rainfall near the area of landfall could top 18 inches (46 centimeters).

“If you are in any of those counties it is no longer possible to safely evacuate. It’s time to hunker down and prepare for the storm,” DeSantis said. “Do what you need to do to stay safe. If you are where that storm is approaching, you’re already in hazardous conditions. It’s going to get a lot worse very quickly. So please hunker down.”

Biden will help Florida despite the noise coming from its governor.

Tampa, St. Petersburg, Brandon, Key West, Clearwater, Bradenton, Fort Myers, Tallahassee, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Orlando, Sarasota, Tarpon Springs, Lakeland, Plant City, Sanford, Ocala and many central Florida communities are in the cyclone's path.

This could be a devastating storm and the governor is urging Floridians to leave if they can.

So the state is having a fuel, water and food crisis due to panic shopping.

Gas stations are running out of fuel.

Bread, milk and parisables are depleted due to folks panic buying.

The governor was bragging last month about how he was flying migrants to Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts just to thumb at Biden for immigration.

The political theater these Republicans do.

The National Hurricane Center says that the cyclone has an anticipated arrival on Wednesday night. Ian will be a Category 3 or 4 storm upon arrival.

Benzino: No Neck And No Crabs! 🦀

No more crab traps. Raymond "Benzino" Scott loses his restaurant.

Special shout out to The Evolve. Would have never known about how bad things are for washed up entertainer Raymond Scott (formerly known as Benzino).

This person is best known for being formerly the co-owner of The Source Magazine. He is a former reality television star from Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta. He is also a former rapper who had his career destroyed by Eminem.

Yes, he still raps... but most of his rap videos barely crack 500,000 views. His rap game is pretty much over. That includes his infamous "The Bigger Picture" video. That video was released two years ago and it just made it to nearly 500,000 views.

He is the father of rapper/model Coi LeRay. He sabotaged her career and rap debut album thanks to his jealousy and his need to be meddling in her affairs.

The washed up entertainer and reality star (on and off buddy) Stevie J were on another reality show. They were on a courtroom reality show produced by Dan Abrams and Greg Mathis, best known as Judge Mathis, one of the popular daytime courtroom judges in the country.

A woman sued Scott over his failure to keep his business obligations. He had the Benzino's Crab Trap restaurants. The restaurants in Atlanta have closed permanently.

He had one in Country Club Hills, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. I guess he ended up closing that business as well. The woman had a partnership with her to use his business, his likeness and franchise. The obligations were for him to deliver fresh crabs, appear at local events and provide the necessary services to vendors. I guess "Mr. You Know What I'm sayin'" failed to keep the contract.

Stevie J must have put his name on the co-sign and he got sued too. Scott is broke.

I mean he needs a co-signer to own a business, a car and his apartments.

Real World Police showed that Scott was evicted from his apartment, owes a lot of child support, got his vehicle impounded and is forbidden from driving and is required to take anger management classes. He owes a man in punitive damages for kicking his truck.

Fun facts about Raymond "Benzino" Scott. This is a copy and paste I've put together. So for anyone who never heard of this dude, here's some fun facts about him.

  56. He was sued by a former business partner of his Chicago-area restaurant.
  57. He has no neck.

Scott said that no one in the hood plays Eminem's music. He said Em's music is trailer trash and his fans voted for Washed Up 45. He said thinks Em rhymes "masturbater in the elevator" whenever he's on the mic.

Tell me:

Has anyone in the hood ever heard of a Benzino song?

Or perhaps has anyone ever played any of Benzino's music?

Lap Dancing On The Turtle's Head!

Devils in disguise.

I call Kyrsten Sinema a Karen for a reason. She is a white blonde call 911 on Black people type of bitch. She is one of the few Democrats who I believe are racist without notice.

We remember her doing the curtsey thumbs down on raising the minimum wage. We remember her for wearing luxury clothes, thigh high boots, expensive purses, various color wigs and running away from constituents by hiding in restrooms.

We remember her for not holding town halls since she took office in 2019.

And yet, we need this vote.

If we get Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) as the nominee, Arizona will flip. He is too close to the Bernie Bros. He will cost the Democrats a seat if he tries to primary Sinema.

I would rather keep her as a senator despite the bullshit she causes.

Arizona senator says don't bother asking me to change. The Democratic senator decided that she is perfectly fine with keeping the filibuster and said the noise will not sway her.

She did it with the Obstructionist Leader cheering it on. The guy who literally blocked Barack Obama's Supreme Court nominee. The guy who said he wants to make Obama and President Joe Biden, one term presidents. The very same guy who led America with three government shutdown because he refused to fund the government.

The guy who changed the rules to ram through a three inexperienced jurists to the Supreme Court.

This guy.

A guy who literally said that reparations is America electing the first African American president who he wanted to make a one term.

The infamous thumbs down by Sinema.

Let me say this: Sen. Karen Sinema (D-AZ) is a pain in the ass. Sen. Sissy Graham (R-SC) is a pain in the ass. Sen. Karen Manchin (D-WV) is a pain in the ass. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is a pain in the ass. Sen. Karen Cruz (R-TX) is a pain in the ass. Sen. Karen Scott (R-FL) is a pain in the ass. Sen. Karen Johnson (R-WI) is a pain in the ass.

Sinema on Monday doubled down on her controversial support for the filibuster and displayed her unconventional friendship with the Obstructionist Leader.

Sen. Karen McConnell (R-KY) is the biggest pain in the ass.

Sinema spoke at the McConnell Institute at the University of Louisville.

Sinema reiterated her stance that the Senate should continue passing legislation under a 60-vote threshold, clarifying that she hopes to resurrect the filibuster for "everything," including all judicial and executive branch nominees. That move would almost guarantee that the 50-50 Senate would block nearly all of Biden's appointments.

"I committed to the 60-vote threshold, it's been an incredibly unpopular view. I actually think we should restore the 60 vote threshold for the areas in which it has been eliminated already," the moderate Democrat said during her speech on "The Future of Political Discourse and the Importance of Bipartisanship."

"It would make it harder for us to confirm judges. It would make it harder for us to confirm executive appointments in each administration. But I believe by restoring, we'd actually see more of that middle ground in all parts of our governance which is what I believe our forefathers intended."

Sinema has over the past two years been the outlier among fellow Democratic senators who have attempted to pass legislation in a tied Senate, remaining steadfast in her allegiance to the filibuster rule despite mounting criticism. Her main argument against eliminating the filibuster was that doing so might turn the Senate into the House -- a lower chamber without the longstanding Senate rule.

"The trouble with that is …the House with elections every two years, representing a smaller group of voters by each House, they really represent the passions of the moment in the political spectrum," she said, noting the impending midterm elections just over a month and a half away. Sinema is not yet up for reelection for another term.

Protesters didn't wait for her to take a dump.

"Control changes between the House and the Senate every couple of years, it's likely to change again, in just a few weeks … The Senate was designed to be a place that moves slowly to cool down those passions, to think more strategically and long term about the legislation before us."

Ahead of her remarks, Sinema was called "the most effective first term senator I've seen in my time in the Senate," by McConnell, who has served 37 years in the chamber and is poised to break records for leadership longevity.

His selection of Sinema for the bipartisan speaking series means the Arizonan is now part of a longstanding list of political heavyweights, including Supreme Court Justice Idiot Karen Barrett, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Biden while he was vice president and Hillary Clinton while she was secretary of state.

"She is today what we have too few of in the Democratic Party, a genuine, moderate, and a dealmaker," McConnell said, noting with particular reverence her dedication to the Senate's 60-vote threshold rule.

"It took one hell of a lot of guts for Kyrsten Sinema to stand up and say, 'I'm not going to break the institution in order to achieve a short-term goal,'" he said, noting her departure from the Democrats' desire to lower the threshold.

McConnell also said that former President Donald Trump "would harangue me on virtually a weekly basis," about the same idea.

He also applauded Sinema's involvement in moving forward bipartisan legislation -- a role she has enjoyed as one of the few swing votes in the 50-50 Senate.

"Kyrsten has been right in the middle of, if not the principal leader, in getting us to an outcome in a highly partisan time, on infrastructure on school safety, mental health, postal reform, that ships bill you name it, every single thing that we've been able to work together on," McConnell said.

Sinema, too, touted her friendship with the top Republican during her speech.

"At first glance, Sen. McConnell and I have relatively little -- or some could even say nothing -- in common," she said. "For starters, he drinks bourbon, I drink wine. He's from the Southeast and I'm from the great Southwest. He wears suits and ties, and I wear dresses and these fierce sneakers. Perhaps most obviously, we come from opposing political parties."

"But despite our apparent differences, Sen. McConnell and I have forged a friendship — one that is rooted in our commonalities, including our pragmatic approach to legislating, our respect for the Senate as an institution, our love for our home states and a dogged determination on behalf of our constituents."

Ignore the noise.

Vote.
