The holiday has passed. Americans are still more divided. The president had his Freedom 250 and Great American State Fair. They didn't live up to expectations.
A super typhoon is wailing on Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. No remarks from President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance or members of Congress. The president did declare a federal emergency on the islands for Typhoon Bavi. The territories had a disastrous typhoon previously with Sinlaku.
Some people don't care about other people's lives. They obtain a firearm and they act like it some form of superiority. Nope, just a person who thinks owning firearms makes them a tough guy or gal.
The leading cause of death among children is gun violence. Not transgender Americans. Not video games. Not rap music. Not streamers. Not podcasters. Not woke.
We got to stop gaslighting. Nevermind, its a free country. They never will learn.

Oh there was a mass shooting in Brooklyn, New York.
Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.
President Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Gov. Kathy Hochul, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), House members and mayor Zohran Mamdani were notified of this.
Eight people, including four children, were shot during a Fourth of July family barbecue in Brooklyn's Coney Island when a masked gunman opened fire on the group without warning, police officials said.
New York Police Department (NYPD) detectives are working to identify the suspect, who fled the scene on foot and remains at large, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said at a news conference on Sunday.
“There is no place for this kind of violence in our city. We will not tolerate it. We will fight it with every single tool at our disposal," New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said at the news conference.
"As we mourn alongside those whose loved ones have been hurt, let us also recommit ourselves to the work of building a city where every celebration is safe and every holiday is joyful,” Mamdani added.
Tisch said the victims included a 37-year-old man, a 33-year-old man, a 21-year-old woman, a 25-year-old woman and the four children, ages 6, 7, 12 and 14.
The commissioner said seven of the victims suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds but the the 21-year-old victim was shot in the chest and is hospitalized in critical condition.
The shooting occurred around 10:37 p.m. on Saturday in the courtyard of a residence at West 30th and Surf Avenue, less than two blocks from Coney Island's famed Riegelmann Boardwalk, police said.
"The preliminary investigation indicates that a family barbecue was taking place in the courtyard when an unknown male dressed in all black and wearing a black ski mask approached the fence line along Surf Avenue and fired multiple rounds into the courtyard," Tisch said.
Detectives have so far found no indication that an argument or altercation involving the suspect occurred at the barbecue before the shooting, the commissioner added.

A TEC-9-style firearm equipped with an extended magazine was recovered at the scene, along with 10 discharged shell casings, Tisch said.
The commissioner said detectives are investigating whether the shooting is connected to a gang-related homicide that occurred earlier this week on the same block as the shooting on Saturday night.
"We are looking into whether there is a nexus between the two incidents," Tisch said.
The Coney Island shooting comes amid a 25.6% drop in homicides and a 3.3 decline in shooting incidents across New York City compared to the first six months of 2025, according to NYPD crime statistics.
"The data in New York City this year in terms of gun violence is historic. It is record-breaking," Tisch said. "But clearly, the police department has more work to do, we all have more work to do, when we see four children shot in one incident celebrating the July Fourth holiday."
Of course, the Republicans and Zionists will immediately put the blame on Mamdani and the Black community. They will claim socialism was the reason for the violence. A bunch of word slop on top of word vomit.

The person with easy access to firearms should be the only answer. Alas, the far right is hoping for this to be a person they can scapegoat as their next de jour of outrage. Anyone can get firearm in the United States. Even, people who are non U.S. citizens are allowed to obtain firearms.
The real issue is not just guns, it's white men, white women tears and white boys. They are losing their goddamn minds. Inspired by loneliness, politics, job loss, social media trends, endless perceptions of others, the lack of opportunities (besides joining the military) and the need to be ahead of everyone else is what drives these fools to commit endless chaos.
If the suspect is white, they will give the shooter a glaring profile. If the suspect is not white, expect the far right to claim its the left or accused a certain nationality, race, religion or sexuality the cause of mass shootings.
White privilege also santizes the white shooters. Already we are getting details of the mass shooters. Glaring profiles of these white mass shooters to paint them as unfortunate circumstances. Ignoring the fact, these terrorists had signs of potential danger but their families thought it was just noise.

Muslim shooters are terrorists who should be surveiled or deported. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants and they should be deported. According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [leftist or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the politics of the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the ridiculous "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black. Even if the evidence turns out that the shooter has alignment with conservative causes or Republicans, the far right dismisses it as a hoax or a plot to demonize the MAGA movement.
The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms.
