Aisha Wahab Advances Against Pro Israel Dems!

Being anti-Israel is good politics.

California state senator advances in the U.S. Special House primary to replace former lawmaker Eric Swalwell. She will face another Democrat in the general. Whomever wins will face another primary and general.

Democratic candidates have secured the two slots for a special general election to serve out the remaining term of former California U.S. Rep. Eric Swalwell, who resigned from Congress after sexual assault and misconduct allegations.

Wahab and Melissa Hernandez, a Bay Area Rapid Transit director who advanced Thursday, received the most votes in a crowded field of both Democrats and Republicans to move on to the Aug. 18 special general election.

Wahab had a lead in votes, but Hernandez said her path forward to August is "digging into the numbers, and going out to those areas where we know that we can secure votes."

"I connect to voters, and that's one thing that is definitely different than my opponent," she said, reiterating her focus on bringing down costs for lower and middle class families. "We're going to fight the good fight."

 Whoever wins the special election in August will fill Swalwell's seat through January. At that time, the winner of the regular general election in November will take over for a full, two-year term. In this case, that will also be Wahab or Hernandez, who snagged the top two spots in the regular primary that was held on June 2, similarly locking out Republican challengers.

That means both candidates are running in two separate elections for California's 14th Congressional District, which includes East Bay cities such as Fremont, Hayward and Livermore. It would've been an uphill fight for a Republican to win in the heavily Democratic district. The three top vote-getters in the special election were Democrats, with businesswoman and attorney Rakhi Israni Singh finishing behind Hernandez.

Whoever wins the special election in August will likely get a boost of visibility and a few months of experience in Congress that they can tout during the November general election campaign.

Wahab, who didn't immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday, is an established presence in California politics as the Senate's assistant majority leader. She has campaigned on a more progressive platform and has detailed her track record in public office.

That includes expanding social safety net programs and renter protections, promoting social justice issues and pledging to support small businesses by cutting bureaucratic hurdles.

Hernandez, who was the former mayor of the East Bay city of Dublin, has highlighted similar goals while emphasizing a business-friendly approach. For lowering costs, Hernandez said she would "prioritize growing small businesses" and promote incentives to build housing. She also would push to lower health insurance premiums by restoring insurance subsidies.

One of them will replace Swalwell after he served for seven terms before resigning in April and dropping his bid for California governor. That was prompted by a San Francisco Chronicle report of allegations that he sexually assaulted a woman twice, including when she worked for him.

CNN later reported that other women accused him of sending inappropriate messages and nude photos.

Swalwell, a Democrat, has repeatedly denied the accusations but said it would be unfair to his constituents to remain in Congress.

To have more people run for office without being compromised by foreign or corporate interests is easy. When you see your community struggling with gun violence, food deserts, blight, drug abuse, companies leaving and no hope for working class families, you are summoned to change that.

When you run for office, the onslaught of smears and distractions. Folks should be tired of hearing about things that don't pay the bills, feed the families or keep you safe.

That's what politicians should put their focus on.

Washington is the federal capital of the United States of America. It has population of 712,000 residents. The District of Columbia is a federal territory is located on the banks of the Potomac River. The district was created from land in Maryland (and formerly Virginia). When the Confederate States of America was founded, they reclaimed Arlington. 

Now Arlington is a city and county in Virginia.

Washington, DC has a electoral count of three delegates. It has a non voting U.S. House member who is a delegate. It has a shadow U.S. Senator. 

Most Washingtonians want statehood and fair representation

Democrats favor statehood. Republicans vehemently oppose it.

This primary win may have kickstarted a movement to push for statehood.

Janeese Lewis George, who pledged to aggressively stand up to federal intervention into Washington, D.C.'s affairs, won Tuesday’s Democratic primary for mayor, setting up a potential showdown with the Trump administration over its moves to challenge the city’s limited autonomy.

In an overwhelmingly Democratic city, Lewis George is likely to take the top spot in November’s general election, replacing moderate Muriel Bowser, who decided not to run again after three terms.

Lewis George joins Robert White Jr., who won the Democratic primary for the district’s delegate to Congress, as the top local officials who likely will contend with the federal government’s intentions for the city. They each campaigned on a promise to take a harder line than their predecessors against the Trump administration’s moves on the district, including its deployment of the National Guard on an ongoing, open-ended mission meant to fight crime.

Speaking at a news conference Thursday, Lewis George said she hoped she could work together with the administration “as every mayor has had to work with any president of the United States, no matter their party.”

But, she said, she would oppose actions that threaten the city’s residents.

“We are not going to be able to stand up for our autonomy and fight for D.C. statehood ultimately, by just complying in advance,” Lewis George said. “I have also been very clear that I will work with anyone including the president for the best interest of D.C. residents.”

Washington has limited autonomy and federal leaders retain significant control over local affairs, including approval of the budget and laws passed by the D.C. Council.

Trump further encroached on that autonomy last year when he briefly federalized the city’s police force and deployed an ongoing law enforcement surge that included the National Guard. Trump’s efforts to downsize the federal government also roiled the capital region, costing thousands of people their jobs. He has also been reshaping the city by renovating storied landmarks and putting his name or image on buildings.

Lewis George, a self-described democratic socialist and a member of the D.C. Council, has already come under fire from Trump, who last week threatened to place the city under federal control if she won.

Maybe we’d take back Washington, run it on the federal basis,” he said.

Her main opponent, former D.C. Council member Kenyan McDuffie, conceded the race Thursday and said he had contacted Lewis George to congratulate her.

“While the final certification process will continue, it is clear that the voters have chosen a different path,” he said in a statement. He wished Lewis George luck in the general election and called on his supporters to continue working.

Lewis George, 38 and a third generation Washingtonian, has vowed to overrule an executive order by the city’s police chief permitting local law enforcement to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. Lewis George argued the order “hurt the trust of our community.”

Lewis George also vowed to use any levers available to her through the city’s home rule compact to resist what she called authoritarian infringements on the district’s local governance.

“We have legal tools we can use to fight back,” she told The Associated Press in an interview before the vote. “And we know that when we have gone to court, we’ve won.”

Bowser found herself walking a fine line between staying in Trump’s good graces and responding to the concerns of constituents, many of whom said she didn’t push back hard enough on Trump’s actions. Eleanor Holmes Norton, the 18-term, 89-year-old delegate to Congress, meanwhile, faced mounting concern from critics who said she wasn’t forcefully pushing back on the Trump administration’s moves against the city.

Lewis George has also made affordability a top priority and her platform has included issues like rent support as well as ending below minimum wage pay for tipped employees and controlling high utility rates.

Tuesday’s primary marked the first time in a generation that D.C. residents voted for a new mayor and delegate in the same election. It was also the city’s first election using ranked choice voting.

Last year, a 10 year old Mississippi boy riding on an ATV was struck by a motorist in a pickup truck. The child was left on the side of the road for dead. The motorist, Cody Rollinson, left the scene of the accident. He was impaired at the time and harbored far right extremist (let just say it: white supremacist views). 

Amite County, Mississippi has a population of 13,000 residents. The county has a white population of 58% and Black population of 39%. President Donald J. Trump carried the county with 74% of the vote.

In April 2025, Rollinson was arrested and faced a trial. The jury acquitted him in January 2026.

Rollinson was white. Jordan was a Black boy.

And here we are... the Senatobia incident.

Senatobia Police Sergeant Hunter Foster as one of the officers present during the June 14, 2026, police shooting of 1-year-old Kohen Wiley, pictured, in the parking lot of the Senatobia Walmart.

A public records request by Memphis Action 5 News has identified Senatobia Police Department Sergeant Hunter Foster as one of the officers present at the police shooting of Kohen Kartier Wiley, a 1-year-old toddler.

Heavy redactions prevent the publicly available documents from identifying the officer who fired their weapon. As of Friday, there is no public confirmation that Foster is the officer responsible.

The Senatobia Police Department hired Foster on March 4, 2025. Only months later, on September 16, Foster was promoted to Sergeant, the role he currently occupies. SPD placed the officer who shot Kohen Wiley on leave, standard procedure after a police shooting, while the investigation proceeds. That officer’s identity has not been publicly disclosed.

The Mississippi courts failed to convict Jordan Hill's killer.

The Mississippi Free Press has requested information on Foster’s previous employment from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, including any previous incidents involving use of force.

The broader community continues to protest after Wiley’s shooting, calling for transparency and a release of all relevant evidence. Thus far, no arrests have been made in the shooting of Wiley or in the alleged shoplifting call that brought the Senatobia Police Department.

Vellesiya Wiley, Kohen’s mother, released a video in which she said she had attempted to show law enforcement that a toddler was in her arms before the officer discharged their weapon at the car where she and her son were passengers. She has also rejected any accusations of shoplifting. Kohen Wiley’s family has retained prominent civil-rights attorney Ben Crump. 

And it may be an extraordinary amount of time before the case moves forward. Mississippi Public Safety Commissioner Sean Tindell informed Mississippi Public Broadcasting today that the investigation may take six to nine months. Tindell has previously said that no video footage will be released while the investigation is ongoing.

“At this point, we’re still gathering evidence from Walmart and body cams and dash cam footage if they’re available,” Tindell told the outlet. Aside from a clip of cellphone camera footage that shows a car driving away from police outside the Senatobia Walmart, no footage has been confirmed or released after Sunday’s shooting.

Delta Steakhouse, a restaurant in Senatobia, announced a benefit on behalf of the Wiley family, who will be the recipient of the proceeds. “In moments like these, we lean on one another, lift one another up, and remind each other that no family walks through hardship alone,” the restaurant wrote on social media. 

Juneteenth!

Today is the national holiday of Juneteenth. 

It is the five year anniversary of then President Joe Biden signing this legislation into law to honor the freedom of the last African slaves who were freed in Texas after a two year declaration of enslavement to be over.

This is the national holiday that President Donald J. Trump will not acknowledge or declare as a celebration of American freedom. 

Yesterday, former Presidents Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush celebrated the celebration of the opening of the Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.

Vice President JD Vance directly took aim at Israel as they are continuing their attacks on  Lebanon. The vice president warned Israel that they are to cease their aggression according to the Memorandum of Understanding. Iran and the United States have formally signed this and tensions are expected to ease.

“If I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have anywhere left ‌in the entire world,“ Vance said.

He added: “The problem for Israel is not Donald J. Trump, and anybody in Israel who thinks their biggest problem is the president of the United States needs to wake up and smell the reality of the situation that country is in.”

Vance said that Israel shouldn't level entire communities to stop one person. That is the closest we gotten from the Trump Administration on how Israel is unapologetically killing everyone on the grounds that it was a "Hamas or Hezbollah" whatever.

It appears that the U.S. has called off the peace summit in Switzerland. The Republicans and Israel putting pressure on the Trump Administration to not give in. 

Juneteenth (June 19) is the one of the oldest known commemorations related to the abolition of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth National Independence Day was signed into law as a national holiday on June 17, 2021. The word “Juneteenth” is a Black English contraction, or portmanteau, of the month “June” and the date “Nineteenth.” Juneteenth celebrates the date of June 19, 1865, when enslaved people of African descent located in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom from the slavery system in the United States.

Freedom was granted through the Emancipation Proclamation signed on January 1, 1863, by President Abraham Lincoln. Texas was the farthest of the Confederate states, and slaveholders there made no attempt to free the enslaved African Americans they held in bondage. This meant that President Lincoln’s proclamation was unenforceable without military intervention, which eventually came nearly 2.5 years later.

From 1865 forward, the day has held special meaning for people of African descent in the United States. Juneteenth continues to be celebrated in cities with Black populations through a series of parades, family reunions, speeches, and consuming of specific foods with a red color including barbeque, watermelon (an African fruit), and “red soda water” (primarily strawberry soda). The use of the color red in ceremonies is a practice that enslaved West Africans brought to the United States. Contemporary food items that maintain this cultural connection include kola nut tea and hibiscus tea, also known as bissap in the Caribbean or Jamaica (ha-MY-kah) in Latin America; large numbers of kidnapped and enslaved West Africans were sent to both areas.. Strawberry soda is the contemporary replacement of these teas in U.S. Juneteenth celebrations. Juneteenth is an important date on the timeline of slavery history in the United States.

Most federal government centers will be closed. Of course, the president, vice president and several federal agencies (FBI and U.S. Armed Forces) will be active.

Daveigh Chase has passed away after family members found her unconscious in an encampment in Los Angeles. Child actress was typecast after starring in horror classic.

One of the original voices of the Disney media franchise Lilo & Stitch has passed away.

Death was knocking.

Daveigh Chase, 35 has passed away. 

She was best known for her roles in “Lilo & Stitch” and “The Ring,” has died.

Chase died Tuesday in a Los Angeles hospital, her father, John Schwallier, confirmed. Schwallier said in a text message to NBC News that his daughter died of complications of bacterial meningitis and a blood infection. He added that she was suffering from severe malnutrition.

She was homeless and living in Los Angeles near the hospital where she died, the Los Angeles General Medical Center, according to her father.

Chase starred in Disney’s hit movie “Lilo & Stitch” in 2002 as the voice of the film’s lead character, Lilo.

The film follows Lilo, a young Hawaiian girl who adopts what she thinks is a dog but is actually a genetically engineered alien named Stitch.

She also starred in the television series adaptation of the film, “Lilo & Stitch: The Series” from 2003 to 2006.

Tragedy for former child star.

Also in 2002, Chase starred in the hit horror film “The Ring,” playing the terrifying child ghost Samara, who would haunt viewers of a cursed VHS tape.

The next year, Chase won the MTV Movie Award for Best Villain for her work in the role.

She also starred in “The Ring Two” in 2005, reprising her role.

The New York Times reported that Chase was living with her boyfriend before her death, but her father was unclear what the extent of his daughter’s relationship was with the man.

“I don’t know how much of a boyfriend he was to her,” he said in a text message. “I seen a video of her in September. I don’t know why he wasn’t getting her medical help then.”

John Ryan Jr., who managed Chase for 15 years, said she was one of his “best friends for almost 20 years,” and that she was “the easiest celebrity” he ever worked with.

Some Of The Best Deal Makers Are Iranian!

Secretary of State Marco Rubio looks visibly upset as President Donald J. Trump announces that he will sign the Memorandum Of Understanding to end the war with Iran.

The Republicans are about to have a civil war within itself. The United States and Iran have reached an agreement for an end of the aggression. It requires a list of requirements for the U.S. and Iran to come to a truce.

The Islamabad Memorandum in full:

1. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran and their allies in the current war by signing this MoU, declare the immediate and permanent termination of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and undertake from now on not to initiate any war or any military operation against each other, and to refrain from the threat or use of force against each other, and ensuring the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Lebanon. Final deal will confirm the permanent termination of the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon, and other provisions of this paragraph.
2. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran undertake to respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and to refrain from interfering in each other’s internal affairs.
3. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran commit to negotiating and achieving the final deal in maximum 60 days, extendable with mutual consent.
4. Immediately upon the signing of this MoU, the United States of America will begin the removal of its naval blockade and any disturbances or impediments against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and will fully end the naval blockade within 30 days. During this period, the traffic of vessels will be in proportion to the numbers of pre-war traffic being restored by the Islamic Republic of Iran. The United States of America further undertakes to remove its forces from the proximity of the Islamic Republic of Iran within 30 days after the final deal.
5. Upon the signing of this MoU, the Islamic Republic of Iran will make arrangements using its best efforts for the safe passage of commercial vessels with no charge for 60 days only from the Persian Gulf to the Sea of Oman and vice versa. The traffic of commercial vessels will immediately start, and considering the need for removing the technical and military obstacles and demining by the Islamic Republic of Iran, will be instated within 30 days. The Islamic Republic of Iran will conduct dialogue with the Sultanate of Oman to define the future administration and maritime services in the Strait of Hormuz in discussion with other Persian Gulf littoral states in line with the applicable international law and the sovereign rights of coastal states of the Strait of Hormuz.
6. The United States of America undertakes with regional partners to develop a definitive, mutually agreed plan with at least $300 billion for the reconstruction and economic development of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The mechanism for the implementation of this plan will be finalized as part of a final deal within 60 days. All required licenses, waivers and permissions needed for the relevant financial transactions will be granted by the United States of America.
7. The United States of America undertakes to terminate all types of sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the United Nations Security Council resolutions, i.e. IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] Board of Governors resolutions and all unilateral U.S. sanctions, primary and secondary, in an agreed-upon schedule as part of the final deal. The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America acknowledge the critical importance of the sanctions-termination issue above mentioned, and expressed their intentions to immediately address these issues in the negotiations, in order to achieve mutual agreement on them.
8. The Islamic Republic of Iran reaffirms that it shall not procure or develop nuclear weapons. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran have agreed to resolve the disposition of stockpiled enriched material, pursuant to a mechanism that will be mutually agreed upon in accordance with the schedule mentioned in paragraph seven, with the minimum methodology to be downblending on site under the supervision of the IAEA. The two parties also agreed to discuss the issue of enrichment and other mutually agreed matters related to the Islamic Republic of Iran’s nuclear needs based on a satisfactory framework being agreed upon in the final deal. The final deal will confirm the provisions of this paragraph. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran acknowledge the critical importance of the nuclear issues above mentioned and express their intention to immediately address these issues in the negotiations in order to achieve mutual agreement on them.
9. Pending the final deal, the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran agree to maintain the status quo. The Islamic Republic of Iran will maintain the current status quo of its nuclear program, and the United States of America will not impose any new sanctions and will not deploy additional forces in the region.
10. The United States of America undertakes that immediately upon the signing of this MoU until the termination of sanctions, the U.S. Department of Treasury will issue waivers for the export of Iranian crude oil, petroleum products and derivatives, and all associated services, including banking transactions, insurances, transportation, etc.
11. The United States of America undertakes to make fully available for use the frozen or restricted funds and assets of the Islamic Republic of Iran upon the implementation of this MoU. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran will mutually agree on the procedures related to the release of these funds during the negotiations. Such funds, either retained in the original account or transferred, shall be made fully usable for payment to any ultimate beneficiary designated by the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The United States of America undertakes to issue all necessary licenses and authorizations accordingly.
12. The United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran agree that an executive mechanism will be established to monitor the successful implementation of this MoU and the future compliance of the final deal.
13. After signing this MoU and subject to the beginning of the implementation of paragraphs 1, 4, 5, 10 and 11 of this MoU and the continuing implementation of these measures, the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran will start negotiations regarding the final deal exclusively on the other paragraphs.
14. The final deal will be endorsed by a binding UNSC [U.N. Security Council] resolution

These warhawks are angry about it. 

It requires the U.S. and their partners to provide billions to repair Iran and a payout to the victims of the aggression. It requires Israel to end all its aggression in Lebanon. It now eases tension at the Strait of Hormuz. For a series of 60 days, those stalled will pass without fee. After that, the Iranian and Oman governments will require fees for passage.

Iran will keep their nuclear power and continue to defend itself with ballistic weapons.

President Donald J. Trump said if the deal fails, he will blame Vice President JD Vance.

I say it is a good deal. But unfortunately, the Republican Party wants the deal to fail.

Israel is not pleased. I am sure that Trump’s Zionist donors are not pleased. 

Active hostilities broke out after surprise U.S.–Israeli airstrikes targeting military and government sites in Iran resulted in the assassinations of Iranian officials, most notably including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. These attacks were launched amidst ongoing Iran–U.S. negotiations, which were being held to address Iran's nuclear program. Iran retaliated by conducting strikes on Israel, on U.S.-aligned Arab countries, and on U.S. bases across the region; and by effectively blocking the Strait of Hormuz, which has disrupted the global economy by causing a fuel crisis. Iran's response broadened the scale of the war by prompting retaliatory strikes from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

The Trump administration gave various explanations for starting the war, including forestalling Iranian retaliation after an expected Israeli attack, destroying Iran's missile capabilities, preventing Iran from building a nuclear weapon, seizing Iran's oil resources and gas resources, or achieving regime change. Iranian and some U.S. officials rejected claims that Iran had been preparing an attack. The International Atomic Energy Agency said that, while Iran has refused to allow inspections of its damaged sites after the 2025 war, there was no evidence of a nuclear weapons program. United Nations secretary-general António Guterres and several uninvolved countries condemned the U.S.–Israeli strikes; the UN Security Council passed a resolution condemning Iran's retaliatory strikes on Gulf states. Critics, including legal and international relations experts, described the US attacks as illegal under U.S. law, an act of imperialism, and a violation of Iran's sovereignty.

The war's economic impact includes the largest ever supply disruption of the global oil market, disruptions to the natural gas, fertilizer, aviation and tourism industries, as well as volatility in financial markets. Oil and gas shipments were disrupted by Iran's closure of the Strait, and Israeli and Iranian attacks on energy facilities. On May 12, the cost of the war to the U.S. military was estimated at nearly $29 billion, and the Pentagon requested a further $200 billion. By March 31, the cost to Arab countries was estimated at $120 billion. 

The Iranian government assessed the damage to their economy as at least $300 billion and possibly as much as $1 trillion by April 11.

Trump claimed victory several times, falsely claiming that Iran had "nothing left in a military sense," and that the U.S. had brought about regime change in Iran, despite the fact that the Islamic Republic remains in power. Iran, the U.S. and Israel agreed to a two-week ceasefire brokered by Pakistan, beginning on April 8; a ceasefire in Lebanon began on April 16. The Iranian ceasefire came under strain as Iran refused to re-open the Strait, blaming Israeli attacks on Lebanon. After the failure of the Islamabad Talks, Trump announced a naval blockade of Iran from April 13. There remained a "dual blockade" of the Persian Gulf by Iran, and of Iran by the U.S.

On June 17, Trump signed the Memorandum at the Palace of Versailles following the G7 summit, and Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian signed it in Tehran.

The safety net is only 10% of the federal spending. The way some people put it, 50% of the federal spending goes to food stamps and welfare. Some people believe that the safety net is making people lazy. And this is the stuff I've heard from people who think that it will never happen to them. They get their arousal over a person using an EBT card to pay for name brand items or expensive food.

With the rising food and gas prices, people are turning to food stamps, food banks and government assistance to keep themselves from landing in the homeless shelter.

Without a safety net, these people will rob and kill those who have the luxuries of having food in the refrigerator or in the pantry. They would steal fuel, diapers, detergent, water, bread and meat to keep feeding their families. And yet, these Republicans, Democrats and their conservative allies are thinking the poor are the reasons for a potential economic recession. 

Tate County, Mississippi has a population of 30,000.

Senatobia is the largest city and county seat. Has a population of 8,500. The city has a white majority of 56% and Blacks 41% of the population. 

Tate County supported President Donald J. Trump in all three elections with over 70% of the vote.

A child was killed after an officer fired upon a vehicle following a reported shoplifting at a Walmart in Mississippi, authorities said.

An adult was also critically injured in the shooting, which occurred Sunday afternoon outside a Walmart in Senatobia, according to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.

Law enforcement officers who responded to a shoplifting call at the Walmart encountered two adults allegedly fleeing from the store with a child and going into a vehicle, the bureau said.

"Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver drove in the direction of the officers, almost striking one," the bureau said in a statement, noting that the information is preliminary. "An officer then discharged their weapon and the vehicle fled the scene."

The individuals in the vehicle went to a local hospital, where the child was pronounced dead, according to the bureau. One of the adults also had critical injuries, it said.

Authorities did not provide further details on the shooting victims, including the age of the child killed.

The Senatobia Police Department and Tate County Sheriff's Office were involved in the shooting incident, according to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, which did not provide details on the officer who discharged the weapon or how many times the gun was fired.

No officers were seriously injured, the bureau said.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting and will ultimately share its findings with the state's attorney general's office. 

"This is an open and ongoing investigation. No further comment will be made at this time," a spokesperson with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation told ABC News on Monday in response to multiple questions on the incident.

Senatobia is located in northwestern Mississippi, about 40 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee.

The Senatobia Police Department said the officer-involved shooting occurred just after 2 p.m. Sunday.

"We are committed to full transparency," the Senatobia Police Department said in a statement. "As the investigation progresses and facts are verified, we will share as much information as possible."

A Walmart spokesperson said they are working with law enforcement amid the investigation. 

"We're saddened by what took place at our Senatobia, MS, store," the spokesperson said. "The safety of our associates and customers is a top priority."

Senatobia Alderman Chris McConnell urged residents to "rely on official information and allow the investigative process to proceed."

"Please join me in praying for everyone involved, their families, our law enforcement officers, first responders, and the entire Senatobia community," he said in a statement.

If the suspect is white or an Asian American, they will give the shooter a glaring profile. If the suspect is not white, expect the far right to claim its the left or accused a certain nationality, race, religion or sexuality the cause of mass shootings.

White privilege also santizes the white shooters. Already we are getting details of the mass shooters. Glaring profiles of these white mass shooters to paint them as unfortunate circumstances. Ignoring the fact, these terrorists had signs of potential danger but their families thought it was just noise.

That restraining order doesn't mean much to a deranged individual. It's a trigger!

I wish things could have turned out well! But unfortunately, a shooter never abides to a court order!

How can a piece of paper protect a victim when it's not reliant on stopping the perpetrator (from causing harm)?

The real issue is gun violence. Not comedians. Not activists. Not Black men. Not immigrants. Not Muslims. Not transgender Americans. Not video games. Not movies. Not rap music. Not the left.

When will cops move out the way of a fleeing motorist?

Black shooters are unrepentant thugs and criminals who deserve lengthy time in the iron college or death. Gay and transgender shooters are active groomers who want to be pedophiles on children. Muslim shooters are terrorists who should be surveiled or deported. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants and they should be deported. According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [leftist or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the politics of the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the ridiculous "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black. Even if the evidence turns out that the shooter has alignment with conservative causes or Republicans, the far right dismisses it as a hoax or a plot to demonize the MAGA movement.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms.

Anne Schedeen Passed Away!

Actress Anne Schedeen has passed away. She was best known for playing Kate Tanner on the 1980s sitcom ALF.

The 1980s sitcom ALF was popular between 1986 to 1990. It spawned a franchise which included a talk show, two animated shows, two television movies and a reboot (on hold).

Gordon Shumway is a Melmacian slacker who landed on Earth. He ended up befriending a California family and work feverishly to keep him from the public despite his stubbornness to not be overlooked. He often tries to eat the family cat and make long distance calls.

There are now two surviving members of ALF. 

Paul Fusco and Andrea Elson.

Fusco is executive producer of the sitcom and ALF's "manager."

Elson played Lynne Tanner, the eldest daughter.

Anne Schedeen, an actress best known for her role on the classic TV series "ALF," has died. She was 77.

Schedeen's death was confirmed on June 14 in a statement from her family shared on Facebook, which said she "passed peacefully."

"She leaves behind an extraordinary legacy of creative energy, whip smart humor, delight in her family, adoration for little dogs, burning hatred for Trump, passion for second-hand thrifting, and love for a good story," the family wrote. "We are bereft without her. We loved her so so much, as did all who met her."

Schedeen starred as matriarch Kate Tanner on "ALF," the NBC sitcom that followed an alien – brought to life on the show using a puppet – who crash lands on Earth and lives with a family in California. The series ran for four seasons, from 1986 to 1990. Schedeen starred alongside Max Wright, who played patriarch Willie Tanner and died in 2019.

ALF was a culture phenomenon. The cast, ALF (Gordon Shumway), Benji Gregory, Andrea Elson, Anne Schedeen and Max Wright. ALF is voiced by Paul Fusco. 

Though Kate Tanner was her most famous role, Schedeen also appeared in episodes of shows like "Murder, She Wrote," "Magnum, P.I.," "Cheers," "Three's Company," "The Incredible Hulk" and "The Six Million Dollar Man," according to IMDb. Her first screen acting credits were in 1974.

Schedeen grew up in Portland, Oregon. Speaking to The Washington Post in 1988, she reflected on the way "ALF" made her famous practically overnight.

"I consider myself lucky," she told the Post at the time. "For years I've been able to make a wonderful living and retain my anonymity. It helped me hit the antique stores, which is a passion of mine. It's a little hard to bargain if the store salesman knows you're on a hit show."

Schedeen is survived by her husband, Christopher Barrett, and daughter, Taylor Barrett, as well as her sister, niece, brother, and daughters-in-law. In their Facebook post, the family remembered her as "a force."

"And it is unimaginable to think about life without her in it," the family said. "But as she said, 'I'm always with you.' And she's right. The memories, artwork, belly laughter, handmade jewelry, oil paintings, sculptures, costumes, and all around joie de vivre live on. Raise a margarita in her honor."

The family asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Habitat for Humanity.

Max Wright and Benji Gregory have passed away in 2019 and 2024.

Gun Violence Is Biggest Threat In Ohio But Republicans Want You To Present Yourself During Traffic Stops!

Ohio Republicans continue taking rights away.

Ohio motorists and passengers, if you refuse to provide your name, your birthdate and address in a routine traffic stop, you are subject to arrest on a second degree misdemeanor.

Ohio House Republican members Sharon Ray and Cindy Abrams seems to be the sponsors of this "Show Me Your Papers" law. This is a deliberate attempt to push for ICE to engage with motorists who aren't U.S. citizens.

Those bitch ass Karens. 

I guess Republicans are getting tired of Ohioans using their constitutional rights to refuse acknowledgement when a traffic stop becomes an unlawful search and seizure.

They feel like if you're Black, Muslim, Arab, an immigrant or a person who knows their rights when it comes to traffic stops, you must comply to the officer.

Ohio House Bill 492

Backed by the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio, proponents argue the bill provides a much-needed "tool in the toolbox". It aims to close legal loopholes—such as rulings in cases like Toledo v. Dandridge—where merely refusing to give a name was not considered obstruction. Police note this is heavily directed at movements like "sovereign citizens" who escalate mundane traffic stops into tense standoffs by refusing to identify themselves.

Critics argue the bill intrudes on citizens' constitutional protections against unreasonable search and seizure and the right to remain silent. Privacy advocates warn it grants police broader grounds to detain and potentially arrest individuals for non-violent, passive refusals to comply with verbal demands.

Well it takes two white out of touch state politicians to rollback your constitutional rights to refuse identification.

No passing lane violations kills.

Deadly accident in Indiana kills three young Black women.

As they were approaching Interstate 74, a deadly crash.

On U.S. highway 52 in Dearborn County, Indiana, a motorist impatiently passed a vehicle in a blind spot no passing lane. The motorist ends up crashing into a semi truck.

Kelis Manuel, her sister Kimora and friend Le’Marea (Lee Lee) Holmes have died in this accident. A fourth woman was not identified as of yet. The women were from Cincinnati. The driver of the semi truck Jimmy Davis, from Cincinnati was injured after the vehicle crashed into a pole. 

The head-on crash in Dearborn County Sunday morning may have implications of drunk driving and reckless endangerment, according to Indiana State Police.

The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on US-52 near SR-46 near West Harrison. ISP says a Honda Civic being driven by a 23-year-old Kelis Manuel of Fairfield was traveling west on US-52 when, while in a no-passing zone, Manuel tried to pass a Dodge Ram pulling a utility trailer. Manuel's car then collided head-on with a semi-truck traveling east.

The driver of the semi was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Manuel and an unidentified rear-seat passenger were taken to Cincinnati-area hospitals with life-threatening injuries.

Early Sunday morning, it was heavy rain and the driver was impaired. It was a fatal mistake.

Dearborn County Sheriff, Cincinnati Police, Indiana State Police and the West Harrison Police will be investigating the incident.
