He never listened to the base. He wanted to save the soul of the nation. He allowed his stupid Catholic faith and this belief that Israel cannot do wrong ruin the party. The wait and see approach and work across the aisle isn't working.

The Democrats have more smoke for the left. They allow Republicans to roll them over.

Every bill passed since Bill Clinton is a watered down. Republicans go big and stay big.

Democrats care about the optics. They elect white moderates who end up being Republicans anyway. 

People of color are often ranked as threats when they run cities, states and federal government. 

The supporters of former vice president Kamala Harris are playing on this "We tried to warn you" nonsense. How can you morally stand on principles of being a progressive and back Israel?

First and foremost, Americans have a right to vote for whomever they chose.

Second, Harris failed to win over voters. She stuck with former president Joe Biden on the economy, Israel, Ukraine, immigration and inflation. The former president failed to listen to voters and his base.

The former president gave unilateral support and cover. We knew Trump would be worse. We demanded that Biden put pressure on Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel to stop killing and invading other countries.

The social media influencers who backed Harris ignored the progressive base and the calls for a ceasefire. They ignored the concerns about banning TikTok and calling everyone who opposes Israel a terrorist. They literally were on the "Vote Blue No Matter Who" mantra.

That shows the "tone deafness" within the party. 

It is not Rep. Rashida Tlaib's (D-MI) fault for Biden and Harris' missteps. She warned them that Arab Americans did not like being ignored. 

30% of Biden's 2020 base were disappointed with his stances on Israel. His iron clad support for that apartheid ethnostate harmed his reelection bid and hurt Harris when she took over after he dropped out. Somehow his stupid Catholic faith led him down this road to destruction. Not to mention the nearly $234 million in AIPAC funding.

Democratic establishment influncers are practically on these platforms saying that they ain't helping the former Biden/Harris voters who voted for as Trump. 

That's perfectly fine. 

It makes progressives more independent and it declines support for Democratic candidates.

MAGAland politicians are going crazy. They belive the No Kings protesters are not genuine. The protests are growing and it appears to be more inclined to white grievances about Trump not delivering on lowering the costs of living.

I voted for Harris for president. I have told family members that Israel will be a major factor. Trump's near assassination was a big factor. His mugshot too. He tapped into the grievances of the American people. 

Democrats wasted too much time scaring voters. I get it. Trump is an essential threat to the country. I posted on this blog numerous times about it. But I also said that Biden's support for Israel and not focusing on the economy could hurt him come 2024.

White men cannot get the U.S. back on the right track. We seen how Trump and Biden led us into endless chaos within their terms. Trump has become the first 21st Century president to never achieve 50% in positive successes. Yet, we reelected him for a second term despite the dangers he posed in his first chaotic term.

White nationalism exists mostly in the Republican Party. But the party is making inroads with Black, Hispanic, Asian, Jewish, Muslim and young voters. Republicans are pitching nationalism and often scapegoating to appeal to these groups.

Democrats are not far off. They are bleeding support because of their so called identity politics. We are screaming racism and antisemitism at the progressive base when the base is trying to encourage the party to change economic direction.

In 2026, we will have candidates running for some form of political office. Several of these candidates will be running as Democrats. Some are flawed people. The Democrats continue to push out candidates that are against the status quo. They are still committed to elected members who are old, supportive of Israel, willing to be bipartisan and willing to embrace conservative policies to stay in office.

It's that type of things that keeps Democrats in the minority.

Joe Biden had speed bumps like Kyrsten Sinema, Joe Manchin and John Fetterman. Had he directly confronted them or pressured for primary challengers who supported his agenda, we wouldn't be in the messes we're in. Let me correct that.

Had he had more candidates that were progressive, we could have pressured Biden to do more to bring Democrats out to vote.

We had to play nice.

The Democrats recent votes will depress turnout.

While being diverse in ideas, the Democratic Party is far from progressive. These three entities in the Senate as well as Democrats in House districts Trump won in 2024 are placing the party in the centrist/conservative category. 

The Democrats will have to build a different ground game now that President Donald J. Trump will get to appoint up to three new Supreme Court nominees again.

No more mocking the white angry voters. No more taking advantage of the non college educated voter. Democrats need to get into the business of troll farming, disinformation, grievance politics and less about identity politics.

No more idol worshiping. The Republicans worship Trump. 

The Republicans worship greed, hate, getting in people's businesses and sexual predatory behavior. If a Democrat has a sex scandal that doesn't involve legal ramifications, fucking ignore the allegations. I am serious. If there is no criminal conviction, it's an allegation. 

Ignore the calls to leave but clearly state why you carry baggage. Because if you care about changing the city, district or state you want to represent, your personal problems cannot outweigh the actual problems constituents face.

The Republicans are moving towards fascism while the Democrats are moving towards conservatism.

Is it possible for a new political party?

Yes.

The two party system is wearing thin. Republicans have a favorably of 34%. The Democrats have a favorably of 32%.

Both parties are not doing enough to solve America's problems.

If progressives need to divorce the Democrats, the time is now. I am not voting for the status quo.

I am going to vote for a candidate that focuses on issues that impact the growth of this flawed nation. Not distractions or words. Words do not pay the rent. They do not feed the families. They do not pay my bills. Words do not control the movement of policies.

No more slogans. 

It's noise.

Folks, the Democrats must end the rules of engagement. They need to kick out the filth.

End their support of Israel, stop pandering to win votes, embrace embarrassments and stop trying to be friends with MAGAland.

Blue MAGA is a threat too. Because they are too cozy with religion, apartheid, income inequality and racism.

The Democratic Party is now conservative while the Republican Party is now fascist.

Back story.

In 2022, he was filmed in a road rage incident between a Black woman and a teenager.

He was screaming racial slurs and threatening to shoot the woman driving. They filmed it and the Clarksville Police would arrest him. He ended up going to county lock up and losing his job.

He tried to become an independent contractor but they said uncertified. He could not do his job without certification. He blames the viral video for his demise.

So he develops this anger towards the Black community for stopping free speech. Now he develops the Chud The Builder persona. His rise to infamy was his interaction with a Kroger employee and his friend over a parking space.

Now he has been banned from numerous facilities in Clarksville. The police warned him that if continues to harass residents, he will get a longer stay in county lockup.

I am going to say this to those who are trying to deal with a second chaotic Trump presidency. Let these motherfuckers cook in their own filth. Don't shed tears or send sympathy towards them if divine intervention happens.

As long as these people never put their hands on me, I am going to continue to go about my day while they are burning themselves out. Because he may even have a few supporters riding his bullshit, but at the end of the day, he will struggle like the rest of us.

He will have a medical emergency or a catastrophic event that impacts him or his family.

I mean rappers, athletes and media personalities who back Trump get praise, television appearances and platforms while the ones who oppose the president are in Laura Ingraham's words: "Shut up and dribble."

Our pain is vilified online. The memes of Trayvon Martin, George Floyd, Jacob Blake, Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, Jonathan Crawford III, Breona Taylor, Sandra Bland, Daunte Wright, Sonya Massey, Kyren Lacy, Jordan Neely, Tyre Nichols, Atatiana Jefferson, Rayshard Brooks, Ahmad Abrury, Jayland Walker and Michael Brown are shared through hateful memes and endless banters about how they deserved it.

Yet, the same folks who thought it's funny mocking their deaths are going full crazy on memes mocking Trump, Charlie Kirk, Benjamin Netanyahu and Stephen Miller.

Just make sure you don't make it about click bait and divisiveness. Y'all can disagree with the Black community but please keep your noses out the business if you ain't looking for plate.

We need to address voter rights, police reform, health and safety, gun violence, ending racial bias in housing and business loans, disspelling anti-immigration rhetoric, anti-LGBTQ rhetoric, ending the perception of Black violence and bringing unity to the Black community. 

Okay, again many Black Americans are not offering sympathy for Kirk.

His rhetoric was divisive towards Black people. He said things about Black women which made it nearly impossible for some sympathy. 

Like I said, his children will take the most blow. Having their father gone is heartbreaking. But to see Erika Kirk confirm the movement continues show no foot off the gas when it comes to political violence.

Erika makes it very hard for people to even show remorse towards her. She is a widow and now has to raise her children by herself. She might find love in the future, but the shock of losing Charlie in such a way has traumatized her.

It's no secret that Republicans think very unfavorably of immigrants, Blacks, Muslims, transgender Americans and progressives.

It is no secret that Republicans love to push freedom while in reality act like the big government nannies.

Or they want to make memes of bearded men expressing their freedoms to wear a dress, heels or makeup.

They certainly love to attack transgender women for looking way better than the women they try to well.... in Trump’s word "pull up to and grab 'em by the...."

Or a meme where a picture of a turban wearing individual posing with a gun or a depiction of an Arab with the decapitated head of a white person.

Republicans, libertarians and conservatives have always been like this. It was never a closed door or a private chat.

They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.

People, please do not resort to the levels of those who profit off the anger. The anger of right wing Americans in the wake of white nationalist Charlie Kirk's death has sparked a censorship and harassment campaign.

White men like troll ChaoticHermes have loneliness and disdain for people of color.

The right wing ain't got the smoke for the shooter, his family and the Utah state government allowing open carry on school campuses. They ain't got the smoke for the people who advocate violence against people perceived as threats to society.

Russia is pushing further in Ukraine with Lithuania and Poland next on the country's agenda. Inflation has rising this month.

Closing The Mills: Maine Guv Drops Senate Bid!

Maine governor Janet Mills ends her senate bid.

The Democrats are taking the gamble on a brash, somewhat unapologetic oyster farmer from rural Maine. They have concerns about tattoos, posts on Reddit, remarks when he served in the military and his past associations with people.

But many Maine residents should not care about this shit. They should be more concerned paying $4.59⁹ a gallon for gas. They should be angry they are watching their tax dollars go to the White House ballroom. They should be mad their representatives and senators took two week vacations while the government is still in a partial shutdown.

They should be mad that tourism is down. 

They should be mad that Israel is getting billions in funding while Maine is struggling to keep their roads paved, bridges functioning, logging roads active and waterways necessary.

If Maine Gov. Janet Mills had the opportunity in her two terms as the incumbent, why on earth would she want a job as a senator who will just be a yes woman for the status quo?

Mills, a staunch supporter of Israel played every trick in the book. It didn't work.

Even with Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) backing her, it didn't help much.

Mills announced she will end her campaign paving the way for Graham Platner to be likely the nominee. It was a controversial fight.

Mills said on Thursday dropped her bid for the U.S. Senate, pointing to a lack of campaign funds to keep up in one of the most competitive races in the country that quickly became a reflection of an internal party debate over which candidates can win in high-profile contests.

The move now thrusts political newcomer Graham Platner as the expected Democratic front-runner against longtime Republican Sen. Susan Collins, whose seat Democrats are targeting in their effort to win control of the closely divided Senate.

“While I have the drive and passion, commitment and experience, and above all else – the fight – to continue on, I very simply do not have the one thing that political campaigns unfortunately require today: the financial resources,” Mills said in a statement. “That is why today I have made the incredibly difficult decision to suspend my campaign for the United States Senate.”

Mills, a two-term governor and longtime Maine politician, was seen as one of Democrats’ top 2026 recruits when she entered the Senate race last year. She had the backing of Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and prominent left-leaning advocacy groups hoping to unseat Collins in the chamber, which has 53 Republicans, 44 Democrats and three independents who caucus with the Democrats.

But Mills struggled to outshine first-time candidate Platner, her opponent in the June 9 Democratic primary. Platner has maintained strong popularity despite facing controversy over past comments he made online and a tattoo he had that is widely recognized as a Nazi symbol.

Mills did not endorse Platner in her campaign suspension announcement but instead promised to keep defending the Constitution and democracy while she’s governor for the remainder of her term.

Meanwhile, Schumer and Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chair Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, both of New York, said they would work with Platner to defeat Collins.

“Our North Star is winning a Democratic Senate majority, and over the past year, Senate Democrats have carved out multiple paths to do that,” their statement said.

Democrats debate how to win back some power

The contest between Platner and Mills was part of a broader debate within the Democratic Party over how best to defeat Republicans and win back some power in President Donald Trump’s Washington, where the GOP controls the White House and both chambers of Congress.

Platner is backed by Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, an independent who caucuses with Democrats, and Democratic Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Ruben Gallego of Arizona and Martin Heinrich of New Mexico.

Mills had tried to convince voters that she was the best candidate to stand up to Trump, repeatedly noting she told the president she would see him in court, a reference to Maine officials’ lawsuit against the Trump administration over federal funding and a dispute over transgender athletes in sports.

Yet the message appeared at times drowned out by the popularity Platner attracted on the campaign trail. His events have attracted thousands of supporters as he pitched his populist message and flooded airwaves with his ads. He consistently outraised Mills every step of the way, raising $4 million while Mills raised $2.6 million in the latest fundraising quarter. Collins raised $3.1 million but has $10 million in the bank.

Age also became an issue in the race, as some Democrats want younger candidates to lead the party going forward. Mills is 78, while Plater is 41. Collins is 73.

So far this year, Democrats have largely avoided messy internal fights in their bid to retake the Senate. The Maine race was an exception, and with Mills’ decision, the Michigan Democratic primary could be the most heated campaign this year. Abdul El-Sayed, U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens and state Sen. Mallory McMorrow are locked in a competitive race there ahead of the August primary.

Questions about Platner

Platner has been dogged by questions about the skull-and-crossbones tattoo recognized as a Nazi symbol that he said he got on his chest during a night of drinking while on military leave in Croatia. Additionally, there have been lingering questions about inflammatory comments he made in old online postings, which he has since disavowed.

Yet, Platner’s willingness to talk about his past mistakes has helped propel his favorability.

Republicans had already begun attacking Platner ahead of Mills’ campaign suspension announcement, pointing to the oyster farmer’s comments about his old social media posts that were dismissive of sexual assault. Among the comments, Platner once wrote on Reddit that people shouldn’t get so drunk “they wind up having sex with someone they don’t mean to.”

“Now with Chuck Schumer‘s reluctant support, Platner’s attempt at the Senate will be yet another fantasy that will end when Susan Collins grinds this fraudster into dust,” said Alex Latcham, executive director of the Senate Leadership Fund, in a statement.

Remember Republicans support President Donald J. Trump, an adjudicated sexual predator and seditionist. A man who lies more than he tells the truth. A man who found over 6,000 times in the Epstein files. A man who cannot run on a record of success.

Platner endorsed Abdul El-Sayed of Michigan as he is facing a bitter primary against Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) and state senator Mallory McMorrow. That race is facing a test of national consensus over how Democratic support for Israel is tanking. El-Sayed said he will not support Schumer as the leader.

Julia Stratton, the lieutenant governor of Illinois and senate nominee faces pressure to dump support for Israel. If elected she will be the sixth Black woman to be elected as a senator. Stratton said she will not support Schumer as the leader.

James Talarico is facing similar controversies. The bitterness of the Democratic primary in Texas against Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has her supporters threatening to withhold their vote. Crockett, a brash controversial lawmaker who is aligned to the status quo lost in the primary because of her support of Israel and failure to reach to voters who saw her as a distraction. I look at her as the Black version Marjorie Taylor Greene. Unapologetic, loud and constantly generating attention. She was often on point with issues but the name calling and constant combativeness to lawmakers made her just as bad as Greene and others.

With the president, Congress and the Supreme Court at record low popularity, a civil war is brewing. Many people are not going to tolerate the elite and tone deaf.

Platner needs to prove he is not John Fetterman. Platner said Fetterman is "his bane of existence." He said he doesn't give two fucks about the independent Pennsylvania senator.

Former FBI director James Comey is indicted for allegedly threatening Trump.

An indictment from U.S. Attorney Ellis Boyle has returned an indictment charging former FBI director James Comey with making threats to harm President Donald J. Trump.

The Indictment includes two counts, first in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 871, alleging that James Comey, 65, knowingly and willfully made a threat to take the life of, and to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States. This charge alleges that on May 15, 2025, by publicly posting an image over the internet via Instagram depicting “86 47”, which a reasonable recipient who is familiar with the circumstances would interpret as a serious expression of an intent to do harm to the President of the United States.

The Indictment also charges Comey in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 875(c), that James Comey consciously disregarded a substantial risk that his communication would be viewed as threatening violence, and that he knowingly transmitted a communication in interstate commerce that contained a threat to injure the person of another, which a reasonable recipient who is familiar with the circumstances would interpret as a serious expression of an intent to do harm to a person.

“Threatening the life of the President of the United States is a grave violation of our nation’s laws,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. “The grand jury returned an indictment alleging James Comey did just that, at a time when this country has witnessed violent incitement followed by deadly actions against President Trump and other elected officials. The temperature needs to be turned down, and anyone who dials it up and threatens the life of the President will be held accountable.”

James Comey is charged with Threatening the President in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 871(a) and Transmitting a Threat in Interstate Commerce in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 875(c). If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

W. Ellis Boyle, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina, made the announcement. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew R. Petracca is prosecuting the case.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

90s star Samuel Monroe Jr., best known for his role in "Menace II Society," is currently on life support, his family told Fox News Digital.

"As Samuel’s wife, Shawna Stewart, we all been fighting over the past nine months to keep him alive due to meningitis," Stewart began.

"Around 18 months ago, Samuel was in Las Vegas filming, and unfortunately, that is where he contracted meningitis. He went to several different hospitals, where his condition was repeatedly misdiagnosed and because of this negligence, the meningitis went untreated for eight months," she continued.

Stewart said that by the time he was properly diagnosed, the meningitis had spread to his brain and his spine.

"Samuel’s wife, Shawna, his children Kingston Monroe, Brooklynn Monroe, and his mother Joyce, his step children along with his siblings and extended family, are asking everyone to keep him in their prayers, as Samuel remains on life support due to meningitis," the statement concluded.

Monroe Jr. has appeared in several TV shows and movies, including "NYPD Blue," "Tales from the Hood," "Set It Off," "The Players Club," and "Out All Night."

Monroe looks like he was in late stage of meningitis.

On Monday afternoon, his family launched a GoFundMe account for the star, saying the "emotional and financial toll of Samuel’s illness has been overwhelming."

"The funds raised will go directly toward covering his mounting medical bills and providing for his children during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the burden on Samuel’s family and ensure that Kingston and Brooklynn have the support they need while their father fights for his life," the website continued.

The family shared that Samuel has two young children: Kingston, 12 and Brooklynn, 11.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday struck down Louisiana’s second majority Black congressional district in a decision that could open the door for Republican-led states to eliminate Black and Latino electoral districts that tend to favor Democrats and affect the balance of power in Congress.

Alabama, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Arizona, South Carolina, Florida, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Texas and Georgia will likely do redistricting to favor Republicans sooner than you think.

In a 6-3 ruling, the court’s conservative majority found that the district, represented by Democrat Cleo Fields, relied too heavily on race. Chief Justice John Roberts had described the district as a “snake” that stretches more than 200 miles (320 kilometers) to link parts of the Shreveport, Alexandria, Lafayette and Baton Rouge areas.

“That map is an unconstitutional gerrymander,” Justice Samuel Alito wrote for the six conservatives.

The decision weakens a landmark voting rights law’s protections against discrimination in redistricting. It’s unclear how much is left of the provision, known as Section 2, the main way to challenge racially discriminatory election practices.

Not much, Justice Elena Kagan wrote in a dissent for the three liberal justices. “The consequences are likely to be far-reaching and grave. Today’s decision renders Section 2 all but a dead letter,” Kagan wrote.

The 1965 voting rights law, the centerpiece legislation of the Civil Rights Movement, succeeded in opening the ballot box to Black Americans and reducing persistent discrimination in voting.

The Yemenis are about to closing Bab al-Mandab Strait and Gulf of Aden. They warned the U.S. that if they're continuing a blockade and allowing Israel to violate the world, they will be shutting down their waters.

The Midwest has finally went over $4 in regular gas. Ohio, Indiana and Michigan have gas prices at $4.15⁹ a gallon. The Rust Belt, the area where Trump did his best in 2016 and 2024, have now soured on his policies.

Florida is pushing for a new congressional map which eliminates four Democratic districts in Orlando, Tampa, West Palm Beach and Miami areas. Gov. Ron DeSantis is calling for a special session to pass this.

It will likely mark the most extensive public remarks Charles will deliver during a four-day visit to the U.S. that’s intended to celebrate the country’s 250th anniversary of its violent independence from Britain.

House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., became the first sitting leader of his chamber to address the U.K. Parliament earlier this year. He attended a garden party with the king in Washington on Monday and said he told him he would be “well received” in Congress.

The king, accompanied by Queen Camilla, will begin his day with a meeting at the White House with President Donald Trump. The Oval Office encounter offers the potential for the freewheeling, sometimes controversial meetings with foreign leaders that have become routine during Trump’s second term.

U.S. and British taxpayers pay for Trump and Charles' lavish expenses.

But given the expressly apolitical nature of the British monarch and Trump’s fondness for the royal family, the likelihood of an awkward meeting may be reduced. Trump will host Charles on Tuesday evening for a state banquet at the White House.

The visit comes at a challenging moment for U.S.-U.K. relations. Trump’s up-and-down relationship with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has taken a particularly sour turn over the past several months as the president has sought to rally international support for the war in Iran. Trump criticized Starmer, who has largely resisted his overtures, by saying “this is not Winston Churchill that we’re dealing with.”

Trump has also imposed tariffs on the U.K. and warned of additional levies despite a Supreme Court ruling earlier this year that has made such unilateral moves more challenging. D4VD Gonna Eat A Federal Sandwich!

The Los Angeles County Superior Court has released an indictment against singer D4VD and it is bad work. He also is under federal watch. TMZ revealed the disgraced entertainer has allegedly child pornography on his devices.

He is accused of murdering a 14 year old girl who he groomed into a sexual relationship.

The victim's body was decapitated and stuffed into his Tesla. It was discovered months later after a worker noticed the smell of death.

The girl who was known to run away, allowed this grown ass man manipulate her into this relationship where it lead to her life being snuffed.

This case was being treated as a possible DEATH card indictment.

The child pornography crimes alone will get the U.S. Department of Justice involved. He took the victim across state lines which counts as interstate trafficking of a minor.

David Burke is held on a no bond. If he is released, he will surrender his passport, be restricted from contacting anyone associated with the victim and be held on restrictions which limit his music career.

He has pleaded not guilty Monday to a murder charge in the death of a 14-year-old girl who was last known to be alive nearly a year ago and whose dismembered and decomposed body was found in the entertainer’s apparently abandoned Tesla.

The charges revealed key details and were among the first concrete public moves made in a grisly and horrific case that had been under a largely secret investigation in the seven months since Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found dead.

The 21-year-old D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke, was charged with first-degree murder, lewd and lascivious acts with a person under 14 and mutilating a body, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said. A defense lawyer entered not guilty pleas to all counts on behalf of Burke, who made his first court appearance Monday. He appeared behind glass in a custody area, dressed in black. A judge said he would continue to be held without bail.

The girl’s parents appeared at the hearing. They looked down as they entered the courtroom and sat in the audience. They did not speak to reporters outside court.

Alleged child sex abuse during a career on the rise

Authorities alleged the Houston-born alt-pop singer killed Rivas Hernandez to protect a career on the rise after she threatened to report their sexual relationship. His debut album, “Withered,” was released just two days after authorities said she was last known to be alive. She was reported missing by her family in 2024, when she was 13. That was her age when, according to allegations in a criminal complaint, the singer engaged in continuous sexual abuse of her for at least a year from September 2023 to September 2024. California law penalizes abuse of a child under 14 especially harshly.

Authorities, who described her Monday as a “runaway,” said Rivas Hernandez was 14 when she was killed with a sharp object on or around April 23, 2025, a day she was at Burke’s house in the Hollywood Hills.

Prosecutors allege Burke mutilated her body about two weeks later.

The murder charges include special circumstances — lying in wait, committing crime for financial gain and murdering the witness in an investigation — that could carry the death penalty. Prosecutors haven’t announced whether they will seek it.

The witness Burke is alleged to have killed is Rivas Hernandez herself, who could have given testimony about the sex crime allegations.

This is not a normal couple.

Defense says D4vd ‘did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez’

“We believe the actual evidence will show David Burke did not murder Celeste Rivas Hernandez,” lead defense attorney Blair Berk said in court. “We would like to have the evidence come into the light of day.”

Berk told the judge that after media reports of months of secret grand jury proceedings, she would like a public preliminary hearing to take place as soon as possible so a judge can decide whether there is enough evidence for trial.

Burke is entitled under California law to have the evidentiary hearing within 10 court days of his arraignment. Nearly all defendants waive their right to have it happen that fast, but he didn’t. A hearing to work out what will happen next was scheduled for Thursday.

“We’ll be very happy to put on the evidence that we’ve collected,” said Deputy District Attorney Beth Silverman, the lead prosecutor.

A missing child and the grisly discovery of a body

The case is a “a parent’s nightmare,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said at a news conference Monday announcing the charges.

The long-dead body of Rivas Hernandez was found inside a Tesla that was towed from the Hollywood Hills on Sept. 8, when Burke was on tour in support of his album. It was a day after she would have turned 15.

Her family had reported her missing from her hometown of Lake Elsinore, about 70 miles (112 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles.

The singer had been under investigation by an LA County grand jury looking into the death. The probe was officially secret, but its existence — and Burke’s designation as its target — was revealed in February when his mother, father and brother objected in a Texas court to subpoenas demanding they testify. The 2023 Tesla Model Y was registered in the singer’s name at their address, according to court filings. Authorities did not publicly acknowledge him as a suspect until his arrest Thursday.

Police investigators searching the Tesla in a tow yard found a cadaver bag “covered with insects and a strong odor of decay,” court documents said. Detectives partially unzipped the bag and found a head and torso.

Investigators from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office removed the bag and “discovered the arms and legs had been severed from the body,” according to court documents. A second black bag was found under the first, and dismembered body parts were inside it. No cause of death has been publicly revealed, and police got a judge to block the release details of the autopsy. The court order was expected to be lifted after the charges.

“I had the chance to meet with some of the family members of Celeste and their grief is incalculable as to what happened to their daughter,” Hochman said.

He went viral on TikTok in 2022 with the hit “Romantic Homicide,” which peaked at No. 4 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. He then signed with Darkroom and Interscope Records and released his debut EP “Petals to Thorns” and a follow-up, “The Lost Petals,” in 2023.

The Associated Press confirmed that D4vd was dropped by Interscope last year.

When the body was discovered, the singer continued his North American tour, but when reports of his possible involvement spread widely, he canceled the final two shows and a European tour that was to follow.

On April 11, about two weeks before the killing, he made his debut appearance at the Coachella music festival, where he talked to the AP.

“I was such an internet kid. The internet is really what I claim as my home,” he said. “My neighborhood was Instagram and the society was the internet.”
