If you're reading this, you have survived the first months of 2026. We are knee deep in the shit of President Donald J. Trump's chaotic second term. We have followed a lot of shit these five months and now we enter the month of June.

Days until Trump is out of office

From June to December, we will endure more chaos and pain. I don't believe the president will get things back on the right track. Who knows?

As we end the first five months, I do the Midway Wrap Up. 

I know there is twelve months a year. When Memorial Day passes, we unofficially start the Summer season. This is the part where more gun violence happens. Gas prices usually bounce between peak seasons. Americans are likely out consuming more resources.

They take off the long shelves, pants, kick off their boots and put on the sandals.

I don't wear open toe shoes much.

When June, July and August comes around more American children are often out of school. They enjoy the pools, parks, community centers, theme parks and entertainment.

So we enter the seven months of disaster.

U.S. causes international concern when they apprehended sitting Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro.

January

• The United States invaded Venezuela. They abupted President Nicolàs Maduro and his wife. They were indicted on criminal charges that seem bogus. The U.S. imposed a seizure of its oil and implicated a blockade on oil being sent to Russia and Cuba.
• Marjorie Taylor Greene resigns. She demands Congress impeach the president. She goes to the junk food media saying that she felt betrayed by the president. President Donald J. Trump rescended his endorsement and vowed to defeat her in a primary. Greene has became one of the most vocal on the far right calling out Trump for being a senile pedophile and war criminal.
• Immigration and Customs Enforcement shot Renee Good after she tried to pull her vehicle away from an aggressive agent. Nick Shirley, a far right prankster instigated a story about Somali daycare fraud. The president, Vice President JD Vance, Elon Musk and the far right agitators exploited this. It led to ICE coming to Minneapolis to cause chaos. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey condemned this.
• The University of Indiana became the first team in modern history to go 16-0 to win the 2025-26 NCAA College Football Championship. After beating top ranked teams Alabama, Ohio State and Oregon, the Hoosiers went into to face the Miami Hurricanes. The team lead most of the game and has a brief moment in the 4th Quarter where they almost lost that lead to quick round of scoring from the Hurricanes. Indiana's Fernando Hernandez became a national figure in the college sports. He is a Heisman trophy winner who succeed in scoring records. He would be drafted to the Las Vegas Raiders in the NFL Draft in April.
• Dilbert creator Scott Adams dies. The far right agitator best known for his iconic comic dies of cancer. After taking the advice of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Adams avoided treatment and allowed the cancer to destroy him. In his last days, he sympathized with former president Joe Biden who revealed he has terminal cancer.
• Keith Porter was killed in Los Angeles by an off duty ICE agent. He didn't get national attention as Renee Good. He was celebrating New Year's Eve by firing his gun in the air. The agent thought it was an active shooter and he shot Porter five times. The US Department Of Justice cleared the agent as well as the one who shot Good. 
• Alex Pretti, a licensed gun owner was also killed weeks later. He was filming when an agent shoves him and the two ended up in a brief scuffle. Then another agent appears and shoots him as he was on the ground being restrained. Both ICE agents were cleared. Greg Bovino and Kristi Noem were in the hot seat. 
• Don Lemon was arrested for violating the sanctuary of a religious institution. The media agitator followed protesters into a St. Paul, Minnesota church as they confront a pastor who moonlighted as an ICE Agent. Three journalists and two peace activists were also arrested.
• Catherine O'Hara passed away from cancer. She disclosed it. Best known for her role in the holiday movie Home Alone, the Canadian American actress and comedian put smiles on many faces. Her movie son Macaulay Caulkin responded. Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Jimmy Kimmel and Jon Stewart also paid tribute to her.
• Demond Wilson has passed away. He was known as Lamont from Sanford and Son. He recalled the fallout with comedian Redd Foxx. As the show was doing well on NBC, Foxx wanted more pay. They refused. He left the show. Wilson felt that Foxx disrespected the game and they never reconciled. Wilson became an ordain minister and leaned towards MAGA.
• Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) doing a town hall was attacked by a man. He sprayed a foul liquid on the longtime Minnesota lawmaker. She went viral. Omar was about to bring the Black out as they held her back from lunging at the suspect.

• NBC Television cancels Kelly Clarkson, Access Hollywood, Karamo and The Steve Wilkos Show. The network television division has announced its ending all daytime shows. The break off of MSNBC (rebranded as MS NOW), CNBC and its non scripted television programs were part of a cost cutting. The Steve Wilkos Show which was a spinoff of The Jerry Springer Show (and Judge Jerry) lasted for nearly 20 years. Kelly Clarkson hinted that she was tired of daytime. Her ex-husband passed away and it was putting a strain on her. She traveled from New York to Los Angeles for filming. She wanted to get her music career back on track. Mario Lopez hosted Access Hollywood since 2006 and was the leading figure in celebrity news. The canceling of Access Hollywood shocked fans who watched this show religiously. Karamo Brown, an openly gay Black media personality was one of the top rated Black daytime shows in modern history. Often running in second place of Tamron Hall or Sherri  Shepherd. Karamo was cancelled as well.
• Sherri Shepherd was caught off guard. Fox and Lionsgate cancels her show. A rebranding of the Wendy Williams Show, Sherri tested very well with fans. A former host of The View, the actress/comedian took over when Williams announced she was retiring due to her aphasia. Bruce Willis has aphasia which has permanently damaged his ability to speak. Shepherd led the show for four seasons. The reasons for canceling it was the cost of the show. Many don't buy that.
• The Ohio man who killed Lo-Letha Hall was convicted of her murder. William Brock thought Hall was a criminal who wanted to take his money. He held her at gunpoint and shot her as she tried to escape. She put up a fight to avoid further confrontation but ended getting shot multiple times. She died when they took her to Premier Health Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. Brock tried to claim self defense. The jury saw a man who wanted to be a vigilante instead of a victim. He was given 20 years to life. He will likely die before he can be released. He was 79 when he shot Hall. Lo-Letha was from Columbus. She was an Uber Driver and delivery operator. 
• Bad Bunny versus Kid Rock. The Benito Bowl as many put it drew over 135 million people viewing. The Puerto Rican rapper, singer and actor was the Super Bowl Halftime Performer. RocNation and Apple Music promoted him. Fresh off a Grammy Award, Bad Bunny wowed the crowd with his singles. He spoke mostly in Spanish and it riled up the far right. Erika Kirk, the widow of white nationalist Charlie Kirk announced The All-American Halftime Show. It featured Kid Rock, Lee Brice, Gabby Barrett and Brantly Gilbert. It was a mixture of rock and country. Kid Rock faced controversy after lyrics from a past song suggested he would sleep with minors. He also was accused of lip syncing his famous songs. It pulled about 5 million viewers on YouTube, overall 20 million by secondary. Candace Owens, a critic of Erika and Turning Point USA claims the event was artificially inflated. She said no one knows these acts and saw Kid Rock as a washed up entertainer who was salty he got snubbed.
• Analilia Mejia wins the New Jersey special primary and later the general. The New Jersey activist defeated two pro Israel Democrats in a three way race to replace Mikie Sherill, who ended up being the governor of the state. Mejia faced an onslaught of accusations about her past remarks and stances. She basically called out Israel for being an apartheid and demanded Democrats end their support. J Street, a liberal Zionist group later endorsed her which drew backlash.
• Actors James Van Der Beek and Robert Duvall passed away. A heartthrob and a gangster. The two died respectfully from cancer and heart disease. Van Der Beek, known for Dawson's Creek and Don't Trust That B---- in Apt 23 reunited with his former castmates before passing away. He was a native of Austin and worked on charity for the city. Duvall is a MAGA celebrity. He was a tough guy with a heart. Duvall is best known his Oscar Award nominating performance in the film The Godfather. He was an avid lover of bourbon, dogs and fancy cars.
• Rev. Jesse Jackson has passed away. The iconic civil rights leader died in Chicago. He leaves behind a legacy of due diligence, empathy, a fight for the vulnerable and a desire to change the status quo. His death touched Black America. He witnessed the death of his mentor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., ran for president twice, became a shadow senator for Washington, DC, lead a global boycott on South Africa, Rwanda and Israel. He fought for voting rights, Black empowerment and generational wealth. He was a flawed man. He had a daughter from a woman he worked with during his time at Rainbow PUSH. His sons, Jesse, Jr. and Jonathan became House members. Jesse Jackson, Jr. was convicted of corruption and served time in federal time out. He tried to win a seat being vacated by Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL) but lost. He blew it when he made remarks at his father's funeral criticizing Rev. Al Sharpton former vice president Kamala Harris, former presidents Joe Biden, Barack Obama and Bill Clinton for making political statements. The far right pounced on it and it led to his primary defeat. Rep. Jonathan Jackson (D-IL) praised his father for the dedication of helping people be somebody.
• Gene Simmons criticizes the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for introducing the Wu-Tang Clan. Simmons, an Israeli-American rocker and actor who is MAGA blasted the decision saying its not right for rap music to be included to rock. Many called him out for ignoring the fact that Black people technically invented rock and roll. They didn't get the play unlike white singers such as Elvis Presley. Simmons remains unapologetic about it but later clarified that Wu-Tang did have cultural impact in music.
• The State of the Union. President Donald J. Trump clocked in a record one hour 34 minutes ranting about how great America is. As the divides grow, Trump was gripped with the outcomes of the ICE shooting and unrest, the Venezuelan invasion, his threats on NATO, he willingness to work with Russia at the expense of Ukraine, his warning to Iran, his warning to Cuba, his fight to close the southern border, his bragging about low gas prices and the "terrible mess" he claimed former president Joe Biden left him. Rep. Al Green (D-TX), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) had interrupted the speech. Green was removed once again. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) warned there will be repercussions for these acts. Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger delivered the Democratic response. Some see her as a possible 2028 presidential candidate.
• T.I. and 50 Cent sets off an old school feud. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has been known for trolling. Since he semi-retired from rapping, he has invested in G-Unit Media. He is a supporter of MAGA and Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry gave him a tax break to build his film studio in Shreveport. Clifford "T.I." Harris plotting a retirement album went on a podcast to call put 50 Cent for not holding his word to a Verzuz rap battle. He said that he has no respect for him. The podcast went viral and it launched a major feud. 50 decided to put an unflattering image of Tameka "Tiny" Cottle-Harris to taunt T.I. in response. T.I. along with his sons King and Donami went into the studio. They released a handful of singles to attack 50 for being on the cock of white supremacy. They said he disses Black women and Black success for clout. King went as far to threaten to descrate 50's mother's grave. They accuse 50 of bring a snitch and fake gangsta. 50 coming out of retirement to record a diss aimed at T.I., Jim Jones, Rick Ross, Young Buck, Pappose and Tiny. Most are mixed on the feud. While some believe T.I. won the feud while others believe 50 has. 
• The United States and Israel attack Iran. Need I say more. The whole ordeal has us on the cusp of World War III. The U.S. knew Israel would launch a series of attacks on Iran. They planned for months but waited until Iranian leaders gathered for their national parliament. They launched a series of attacks that killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. They struck an elementary school killing children. The U.S. and Israel claims it was Iran but evidence provided showed a deliberate attack.

March

• Israel carried out deadly attacks on civilians. The Iranian government confirms they killed former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad while he was serving his sentence in home detention. As a private citizen, Ahmadinejad had no influnce in government affairs. Israel conducted a series of war crimes against Iran which led to Iran to retaliate. Israel refused to give details on their casualties of military leaders claiming it gives the enemies verification. Iran flatly stated that attacks on their people will be documented and sent to the International Criminal Court.
• Trump fires Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. The year of chaos came to an end when the president decided that Noem was being too much of a distraction. After the ICE incidents, the spending for herself and Corey Lewandowski, her losing top secret information, her near fatal allergy and just being dubbed "ICE Barbie" were enough to send her packing. This year, Noem and her estranged husband Byron made more controversy. More on that later.
• Sherrone Moore takes a plea deal to avoid the iron college. Mistress was fired soon after.  A judge dismissed several criminal charges against former University of Michigan football coach Moore in a plea deal with prosecutors over his alleged break-in at a woman's home. Felony home invasion, misdemeanor stalking and misdemeanor breaking and entering were dropped from the Washtenaw County matter against Moore. As those more serious allegations went away, the former Michigan coach pleaded no contest to two new misdemeanor charges filed by prosecutors, malicious use of a telecommunications device in context of a domestic relationship and trespassing. Defense lawyer Ellen Michaels said her client was overcharged in the original complaint. "From the beginning, we maintained that the felony of stalking charge and the entry without permission charge, all the charges against Mr. Moore, were not supported by facts and law," she told reporters outside of court. "Dismissal of those charges validates the concerns we raised about the investigation from the very beginning." The disgraced football coach was sentenced on April 14. "Mr. Moore is pleased to put this behind him and move forward," Michaels said. The married Moore was fired by the university in December after the school concluded that he had an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member.
• Afro Man wins a lawsuit filed against him by Ohio deputies. Adams County deputies raided his Winchester (outside of Cincinnati) home on faulty information. They seized property and destroyed his home. Afro Man claims they stole money from him. Since the state refused to pay for damages, he decided to target the deputies in a satirical music video. They were embarrassed by the video "Lemon Pound Cake" and decided to sue the rapper. In court, Afro Man went decked out in an American flag suit and was being his totally whacked out self. He basically defended the video saying that there is no harm in mocking public servants and he felt it was a good chuckle at the expense of a system that allows police to do things without repercussions.
• A civil rights activist revealed that she was sexually assaulted by labor rights activist Ceasar Chavez. It led to more revelations of misconduct by the late civil rights leader. California governor Gavin Newsom, Arizona governor Katie Hobbs, New Mexico governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, Nevada governor Joe Lambardo, Utah governor Spencer Cox, Texas governor Greg Abbott, Colorado governor, Jared Polis and Oklahoma governor Kevin Stitt have immediately suspended Chavez celebrations and many city leaders are considering renaming roads named after him.
• Chuck Norris, the martial artist, actor, director and conservative agitator died weeks after his birthday. Norris who is a staunch conservative but humble man began his roles as a stuntman and martial artist trainer. He worked on films with the legendary Bruce Lee. He would star in the TV series, Walker, Texas Ranger which lasted for nine seasons. He would later become a reality television and fitness guru.
• Latto reveals she is pregnant. It was widely rumored that she is pregnant with British American rapper 21 Savage's fourth child. 21 Savage is supposedly married with three children. Latto and 21 have been in a open relationship for five years. Latto ended her feuds with Ice Spice, Coi LeRay, Docheii and Sexyy Red. Nicki Minaj feud is still an active feud.
• Robert Mueller, the former FBI director under George W. Bush and Barack Obama has passed away. He was a high profile figure in the first Trump administration. He was tasked to investigate whether Trump, Donald Trump, Jr., Roger Stone, Eric Trump, Georgr Papadopoulos, Steve Bannon, Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort were seeking assistance from the Russian Federation to help him win the 2016 presidential election. While a few were indicted and later pardoned by Trump, the allegations of foreign interference plagued Trump. The president still is dogged by rumors that Russia, Israel and even China wanted him as the president. They knew how much damage this idiot can cause as the president. Mueller passed away and Trump offered nothing but the worst to him and his family as he issued a statement.
• Tiger Woods once again causes an accident while under the influence. Tiger is currently dating Vanessa Trump, the ex wife of Donald Trump, Jr. and supported the president in his return to power. Woods, once held as the world’s best golfer is a shadow of his former self. He is a booze drinking, skirt chasing, mentally unstable man. He admits to having a sex addiction, alcoholism and pill popping. It stemmed from injuries on the course. Florida has a hardline to DUI and he is no different. While kpmany outright lose their licenses, Woods got the privilege to talk to governor Ron DeSantis to lessen the charges and immediately seek treatment out of the country. Woods allegedly called the president to ease concerns that Vanessa or his grandchildren are not in danger of his reckless behavior.
• Nick Cannon faces backlash after he does an interview with former girlfriend Amber Rose. The media mogul did a ride along interview where he and Amber flatly claimed the Democratic Party were the ones who supported the Klan. Cannon also said he rocks with Trump. Amber Rose who has ties to Cannon, Ray J, Yemen, Wiz Khalifa and MGK became a prominent Trump supporter after years of supporting Democrats.
• Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas turns to MAGA. The comeback and backlash. When TLC, Salt n Pepa and En Vogue announced a reunion tour, many were thrilled to hear this. They saw an opportunity to reconnect to some of the 1990s pop, R&B classics of some of the best Black female vocalists. Meidas Touch Media threw a monkey wrench into the tour. It revealed that Chilli was vehemently supportive of President Donald J. Trump and Republicans for years. Now fans are trying to boycott the tour and put their support behind singer Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and donate charity to the estate of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. Left Eye passed away in 2002. Apparently T-Boz is walking away from the tour and group. That means a major feud. Apparently Chilli had donated a lot to Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaigns. Chilli allegedly shared anti-trans propaganda with former first lady Michelle Obama being in the mix. Those accusations turned up a notch following a recent Medias News report, highlighting campaign donations made by the “No Scrubs” singer to political action committees tied to President Donald Trump, the National Republican Senatorial Committee and other GOP-affiliated groups. According to FEC filings, donations from Rozonda Thomas of Stone Mountain, Georgia, total $897.14 and include 17 donations made between April 2024 and November 2024. The majority of the donations were made to WinRed and Never Surrender Inc, with three donations made to the Trump National Committee PAC. Chilli made numerous videos to clear up concerns. It turned out to be a bad move on her part. Many saw it as a lack of owning up to the support and it went against the Black female empowerment TLC once held.

• The White House Correspondents Dinner cancelled after a man tried to assassinate Trump. The first time President Donald J. Trump goes annual event to celebrate press freedom became an international story when a man tried to pentrate the bubble. It also gave the president a reason for his disastrous White House ballroom. Donald J. Trump, Vice President JD Vance, First Lady Melania Trump, Second Lady Usha Vance and White House officials are safe. Erika Kirk is safe. Journalists and entertainers are safe. Social media posts that appear to match the California man arrested Saturday in the shooting at the White House correspondents’ dinner show he is a highly educated tutor and amateur video game developer. A May 2025 profile photo of Cole Tomas Allen of Torrance, California, appears to match the appearance of the man in a photo of the alleged attacker being taken into custody that was posted Saturday night by Trump. The photo, posted to the social networking site LinkedIn, shows him in a cap and gown after graduating with a master’s degree in computer science from California State University-Dominguez Hills. Allen, 31, earned a bachelor’s degree in 2017 in mechanical engineering from the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena. He listed his involvement there in a Christian student fellowship and a campus group that battled with Nerf guns. Bin Tang, a computer science professor at California State University-Dominguez Hills, told The Associated Press that Allen took a few of his classes before graduating. “He was a very good student indeed, always sitting in the first row of my class, paying attention, and frequently emailing me with coursework questions. Soft spoken, very polite, a good fellow. I am very shocked to see the news,” Tang wrote in an email. A local ABC station in Los Angeles included an interview with Allen during his senior year of college as part of a story about new technologies to help people as they age. He had developed a prototype for a new type of emergency brake for wheelchairs. Allen’s online resume says he worked for the last six years at C2 Education, a company that offers admissions counseling and test preparation services to aspiring college students. A 2024 post on the company’s Facebook page listed Allen as the company’s teacher of the month. The company did not immediately respond to an email seeking comment Saturday night. Allen also posted that he had developed a video game for the Steam platform based on molecular chemistry. A post under Allen’s name said he was working to develop a new “top-down shooter” combat game set in outer space. Weijia Jiang, a CBS reporter who is president of the White House Correspondents Association said the event will be rescheduled. He had said offensive remarks toward her during the 2020 pandemic in which he said she should "ask China" when she addressed the president about economic concerns. The event is likely postponed indefinitely. Between berating individual reporters, fighting organizations like The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Associated Press in court and restricting press access to the Pentagon, the administration’s animus toward journalists has been a fixture of Trump’s second term. On the eve of the dinner, nearly 500 retired journalists signed a petition calling on the association “to forcefully demonstrate opposition to President Trump’s efforts to trample freedom of the press.” Jiang said the organization was fighting for all different forms of the press that have a line in to the American people. “I don’t think people realize how closely we are working with the White House,” she said on C-SPAN before the dinner convened. “The relationship is important. It can be complicated. It can be intense. But it is robust.” Welcoming guests, Jiang alluded to the contentious relationship in thanking Leavitt “for everything your team does to work with us every day, whether you like it or not.” 
• Former Virginia Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax murders wife and himself in domestic violence dispute. Justin Fairfax was a rising star in the Democratic Party before his career was derailed by sexual assault allegations several years ago, killed his wife before killing himself, police said Thursday. Fairfax, 47, and his wife, Dr. Cerina Fairfax, 49, were found dead in their home in the Washington, D.C., suburb of Annandale after their teenage son called 911 shortly after midnight, Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis said. The couple were separated and going through a divorce but living in the same house with their two children, who were home when the shootings occurred, he said. A court filing said the couple separated in 2024 and filed for divorce last year. Fairfax was served recently with paperwork telling him when next to appear in court, Davis said. In January, officers went to the home after Justin Fairfax alleged that his wife had assaulted him, he said. “Apparently, Mrs. Fairfax, at some point during these divorce proceedings, set up a lot of cameras inside the home. We reviewed those cameras, and we corroborated that the alleged assault never occurred,” Davis said. The couple, who met as undergraduates at Duke University, had been married since 2006. Cerina Fairfax ran a family dentistry practice. After graduating from Duke, she attended the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, which honored her in 2015 as its most outstanding alumna of the last decade. A profile page on her dental practice’s website described her as an avid reader who liked to travel, practice yoga, go on trail runs with her Vizsla-breed dogs, and “spend time with her wonderful family.” “It’s very sad for this community,” Davis said. “A lot of people who know the Fairfax family, everybody’s shocked. We’re shocked.” For a brief period in 2019, Justin Fairfax seemed poised to become Virginia’s second Black governor as Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam became engulfed in a scandal over a racist photo in his medical school yearbook that led to calls for his resignation. But then two women came forward accusing Fairfax of sexually assaulting them years earlier. He adamantly denied the allegations and was never charged. Vanessa Tyson said Fairfax — at the time a Columbia Law School student serving as an aide to Democratic vice presidential nominee John Edwards — forced her to perform oral sex in his hotel room during the Democratic National Convention in Boston in 2004. Two days after Tyson’s statement, Meredith Watson issued her own, accusing Fairfax of raping her in 2000, when they were students at Duke University. The Associated Press generally doesn’t name people who say they are victims of sexual assault, but both women came forward publicly. Fairfax said the encounters were consensual and refused calls to resign. Fairfax later tried to run for governor in 2021, some said to clear his name, but was largely shunned by Virginia Democrats. Fairfax said he believed voters would see through what he described as a smear campaign against him. But he was defeated in the Democratic primary. Court filings show that Fairfax had financial challenges following the sexual assault allegations, which prompted his resignation as a partner at a prestigious law firm. The IRS filed a lien against the couple for more than $91,000 in unpaid taxes that was resolved in 2021.

Trump’s Cabinet, the White House said Monday, after multiple allegations of abusing her position’s power, including having an affair with a subordinate and drinking alcohol on the job. Chavez-DeRamer’s departure follows reports that began surfacing in January that she was under a series of investigations. A New York Times report last Wednesday revealed that the Labor Department’s inspector general was reviewing material showing Chavez-DeRemer and her top aides and family members routinely sent personal messages and requests to young staff members. Chavez-DeRemer’s husband and father exchanged text messages with young female staff members, according to the newspaper. Some of the staffers were instructed by the secretary and her former deputy chief of staff to “pay attention” to her family, people familiar with the investigation told the Times. Those messages were uncovered as part of a broader investigation of Chavez-DeRamer’s leadership that began after the New York Post reported in January that a complaint filed with the Labor Department’s inspector general accused Chavez-DeRemer of a relationship with the subordinate. She also faced allegations that she drank alcohol on the job, and that she tasked aides to plan official trips for primarily personal reasons. Late Monday, on her personal X account, Chavez-DeRemer posted, “The allegations against me, my family, and my team have been peddled by high-ranked deep state actors who have been coordinating with the one-sided news media and continue to undermine President Trump’s mission.” Both the White House and the Labor Department initially said the reports of wrongdoing were baseless. But the official denials got less full-throated as more allegations emerged — and when Chavez-DeRemer might be out of a job became something of an open question in Washington. At least four Labor Department officials have already been forced from their jobs as the investigation progressed, including Chavez-DeRemer’s former chief of staff and deputy chief of staff, as well as a member of her security detail, with whom she was accused of having the affair, The New York Times reported. “I think the secretary demonstrated a lot of wisdom in resigning,” Sen. He has pleaded not guilty Monday to a murder charge in the death of a 14-year-old girl who was last known to be alive nearly a year ago and whose dismembered and decomposed body was found in the entertainer’s apparently abandoned Tesla. The charges revealed key details and were among the first concrete public moves made in a grisly and horrific case that had been under a largely secret investigation in the seven months since Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found dead. The 21-year-old D4vd, whose legal name is David Burke, was charged with first-degree murder, lewd and lascivious acts with a person under 14 and mutilating a body, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said. A defense lawyer entered not guilty pleas to all counts on behalf of Burke, who made his first court appearance Monday. He appeared behind glass in a custody area, dressed in black. The girl’s parents appeared at the hearing. They looked down as they entered the courtroom and sat in the audience. They did not speak to reporters outside court. The case is a “a parent’s nightmare,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said at a news conference Monday announcing the charges. The long-dead body of Rivas Hernandez was found inside a Tesla that was towed from the Hollywood Hills on Sept. 8, when Burke was on tour in support of his album. It was a day after she would have turned 15. Her family had reported her missing from her hometown of Lake Elsinore, about 70 miles (112 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles. The singer had been under investigation by an LA County grand jury looking into the death. The probe was officially secret, but its existence — and Burke’s designation as its target — was revealed in February when his mother, father and brother objected in a Texas court to subpoenas demanding they testify. The 2023 Tesla Model Y was registered in the singer’s name at their address, according to court filings. Authorities did not publicly acknowledge him as a suspect until his arrest Thursday. Police investigators searching the Tesla in a tow yard found a cadaver bag “covered with insects and a strong odor of decay,” court documents said. Detectives partially unzipped the bag and found a head and torso. Investigators from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office removed the bag and “discovered the arms and legs had been severed from the body,” according to court documents. A second black bag was found under the first, and dismembered body parts were inside it. No cause of death has been publicly revealed, and police got a judge to block the release details of the autopsy. The court order was expected to be lifted after the charges. “I had the chance to meet with some of the family members of Celeste and their grief is incalculable as to what happened to their daughter,” Hochman said. 
• Eric Swalwell ends governor bid and quits House. Eric Swalwell, a former Democratic frontrunner in the California gubernatorial race, resigned from Congress on Monday amid sexual misconduct allegations. Swalwell announced his resignation in a statement posted to his X account, while still denying some of the allegations made against him in recent days. “I am deeply sorry to my family, staff, and constituents for mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past. I will fight the serious, false allegation made against me. However, I must take responsibility and ownership for the mistakes I did make,” Swalwell said in the statement. Swalwell, 45, came to Congress in 2013 and had been a top contender in the California governor’s race before suspending his campaign on Sunday. He briefly ran for president in 2019. But the San Francisco Chronicle reported on Friday that a former congressional aide to Swalwell alleged a series of sexual encounters while he was her boss. The woman alleged Swalwell sexually assaulted her on two occasions when she was too intoxicated to give consent. CNN also reported on Friday that three other women alleged “various kinds of sexual misconduct” by Swalwell, including unsolicited explicit messages and nude photos. Swalwell has repeatedly denied these allegations. His resignation came amid growing calls for his expulsion from his congressional colleagues over the weekend and as the House Ethics Committee announced on Monday it was opening an investigation into his conduct. “I am aware of efforts to bring an immediate expulsion vote against me and other members,” Swalwell said in his statement on Monday. “Expelling anyone in Congress without due process, within days of an allegation being made, is wrong. But it’s also wrong for my constituents to have me distracted from my duties. Therefore, I plan to resign my seat in Congress.” His announcement came as Democrats quickly abandoned him after the allegations were published Friday in the San Francisco Chronicle and later CNN that he had sexually assaulted a woman twice, including when she worked for him. The president wrote on Truth Social that Bondi would be “transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector,” praising her for her work in his administration and offering no specific reason for why she would be leaving. “Pam Bondi is a Great American Patriot and a loyal friend, who faithfully served as my Attorney General over the past year. Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown in Crime across our Country, with Murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900,” he wrote. Trump had been frustrated with Bondi on multiple fronts, sources said, including her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files and that she had not investigated or prosecuted enough of his political opponents. She is the second Cabinet secretary to be ousted in recent weeks; last month, Trump removed Kristi Noem as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. One source said Trump felt that firing went smoothly, making him less wary of removing others. Trump had in recent days talked to allies about the possibility of firing Bondi, and he spoke with her personally on Wednesday about the possibility it would happen, sources said. In the conversation, which one source described as “tough,” Trump indicated Bondi was not long for her role and he would be replacing her in the near future, sources said. Bondi posted on X that she would work to transition her office to Blanche over the next month before moving into a private sector role. “Leading President Trump’s historic and highly successful efforts to make America safer and more secure has been the honor of a lifetime, and easily the most consequential first year of the Department of Justice in American history,” she wrote, adding, “I remain eternally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in me to Make America Safe Again.” Gun violence has surpassed to nearly 200 mass shootings and 534 in the previous year under he4 watch. One matter drawing Trump’s attention recently was an investigation into whether former CIA Director John Brennan made false statements to Congress about a years‑old intelligence assessment of Russian meddling in the 2016 election. Career prosecutors in Miami told Justice Department officials they don’t view the case as strong, but they are still working toward possible charges in DC federal court, CNN has previously reported. Bondi summoned the head prosecutor in Miami, who is overseeing the probe, to Washington on Wednesday to discuss the progress and her belief the investigation was being slow walked, according to a person familiar with the matter. Support from her own party was increasingly in doubt. Gonzales who admitted to having an affair with a staffer who later self immolated herself after her husband threatened divorce. He demanded child/sposual support from the woman. His retirement announcement came just hours after Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell of California said he would be resigning from Congress as he also confronted allegations of sexual misconduct. House Republican leaders had already called on the three-term Gonzales to not seek reelection as they try to hold on to a strongly Republican district in November’s midterm elections. And the House Ethics Committee had initiated an investigation. Under House ethics rules, lawmakers may not engage in a sexual relationship with any employee of the House under their supervision.

Robert Edward Turner III was a brash and outspoken television pioneer who raced yachts, owned huge chunks of the American West and transformed the news business by launching CNN in 1980, has died at age 87. The network reported Turner died Wednesday, citing a news release from Turner Enterprises. Turner owned professional sports teams in Atlanta, defended the America’s Cup in yachting in 1977 and donated a stunning $1 billion to United Nations charities. The rapper would endorse him for reelection and in his 2024 comeback.  Kodak was arrested this week on a drug trafficking charge in central Florida in his latest run-in with law enforcement. The rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was booked into the Orange County Jail on a felony charge of trafficking MDMA, the synthetic drug also known as ecstasy or molly. Kapri’s arrest followed a police encounter in Orlando in November when officers were called to a neighborhood in Orlando by residents who reported hearing gunshots. Officers encountered a bunch of people hanging out around parked luxury sports utility vehicles, including Kapri, according to a police report. An officer noticed a white substance on a $100 bill inside a Lamborghini SUV, which smelled of cannabis, giving the officer probable cause to search the vehicle. During the search, the officer found a pink bag containing a plastic bag of MDMA, $37,000 and numerous documents with Kapri’s name on them, the police report said. The pink bag matched a bag seen in a photo of Kapri that the rapper had posted to his Instagram account. The bag also contained a distinct lighter that also was in the photo, investigators said.
• Virginia redistricting map downed. After the Supreme Court decision to gut the key elements of the Voter Rights Act, the Virginia Supreme Court followed through by pulling and voiding a voter approved congressional map. Republicans were handed a victory but at a huge cost. The court ruled 4-3 that the state’s Democratic-led legislature violated procedural requirements when it placed the constitutional amendment on the ballot to authorize the mid-decade redistricting. Voters narrowly approved the amendment April 21, but the court’s ruling renders the results of that vote meaningless. Writing for the majority, Justice D. Arthur Kelsey wrote that the legislature submitted the proposed constitutional amendment to voters “in an unprecedented manner.” “This violation irreparably undermines the integrity of the resulting referendum vote and renders it null and void,” he wrote. Democrats had hoped to win as many as four additional U.S. House seats under Virginia’s redrawn U.S. House map as part of an attempt to offset Republican redistricting done elsewhere at the urging of President Donald Trump. That ruling, combined with a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision severely weakening the Voting Rights Act, has supercharged the Republicans’ congressional gerrymandering advantage heading into this year’s midterm elections. Richard Hudson, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee said the ruling was another sign of GOP momentum heading into the midterms. “We’re on offense, and we’re going to win,” he said in a statement. Don Scott, the Democratic speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates, said Democrats respect the court’s opinion while noting that the voters of the state had approved of the new congressional map. “We gave this decision to the voters — exactly where it belongs — and they spoke loud and clear,” he said in a statement. “They voted YES because they wanted to fight back against the Trump power grab.”
• Kyle Rittenhouse got bitten by venomous spider. Rittenhouse told supporters he fell victim to a brown recluse, posting pictures of himself in a hospital bed strapped to monitors with one close-up shot of the bite mark. “The spider, like the commies, also thought it was a good idea to come after me while I was armed,” Rittenhouse posted. “He did not survive.”Rittenhouse appeared to be in good spirits, joking that his only disappointment was that “I’m not Spider-Man now.”He did not say exactly when or where the spider attack happened. Rittenhouse’s post, predictably, drew thousands of responses — a mix of support and mockery. In 2020, Rittenhouse shot protesters when he was in Kenosha, Wisconsin instigating the aftermath of Jacob Blake being shot by the police. Rittenhouse was found not guilty of murder. He is facing a civil lawsuit for the wrongful death and injury lawsuits filed by the estate of Joseph Rosenbaum, the family of Anthony Huber, and by Gaige Grosskreutz. Gaige survived the shooting.
• Bill Cassidy loses primary. Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) loses his primary bid for reelection to Rep. Julia Letlow (R-LA),the widow of Luke Letlow, an idiot who refused to get vaccinated during the pandemic and died days before he was to serve in the House. Letlow ends up running in his place and won.Cassidy was on Trump's radar. Cassidy who voted with the president over 90% of the time became an enemy when he voted with Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Susan Collins (R-ME) to convict him after the Jan. 6 insurrection. Trump has also had anger with Cassidy after he sunk Casey Means, an ally of Trump and Secretary of Health And Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Cassidy’s loss further cements Trump’s grip on the GOP as the president looks to exact revenge against Republicans who have crossed him in the past. And it also means another Republican who voted to convict Trump during his 2021 impeachment will not be returning to Congress next year.

Lauren Boebert (R-CO) it wasn't enough. Massie became the latest Republican lawmaker to anger President Donald Trump and then fall to a primary challenger backed by the president. Trump handpicked and endorsed Gallrein, whose victory is a demonstration of the president’s powerful influence over GOP voters. In recent weeks several other Republicans have been defeated by Trump-endorsed challengers, including Sen. Bill Cassidy in Louisiana and several Indiana state senators who defied him on redistricting. Massie, who has served in Congress since 2012, was one of the most outspoken holdouts. He pushed for the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files, criticized the war in Iran and voted against the president’s signature tax legislation last year. Still, he tried to convince voters that they could be for both him and Trump. After losing, Massie took the stage before a fired-up crowd that cheered and chanted, including slogans such as “no more wars” and “America First!” “We stirred up something. There is a yearning in this country for someone who will vote for principles over party,” Massie said in his speech, which lasted over 20 minutes. He also criticized unwavering fealty to Trump in Congress: “If the legislative branch always votes whichever way the wind is blowing, then we have mob rule,” he said. But if lawmakers follow the constitution, “we have a Republic.” Massie signed off by teasing a run in 2028, saying, “we’ll talk about it later.” Gallrein delivered a shorter, more muted speech at his victory party in Covington, where he first thanked Trump, who visited Kentucky in March to give Gallrein a boost. Gallrein, a former Navy SEAL, ran on his military service and loyalty to the president and accused Massie of forsaking Trump and the party. He is favored to win the general election against Democrat Melissa Strange in the deeply red district. Speaking with reporters after Massie’s defeat, Trump said: “He was a bad guy. He deserves to lose.” And presidential spokesperson Steven Cheung said via social media: “Do not ever doubt President Trump and his political power.”
• Trump turns on Lauren Boebert. Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene before their fallout were a constant headaches to former president Joe Biden, former vice president Kamala Harris, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Sarah McBride (D-DE) and numerous others. Boebert gave up six years of her life to MAGA. Now Trump has officially turned on her. Boebert, a hardline conservative, has historically been one of Trump’s strongest supporters in Congress, but their relationship has experienced some friction in recent months. She voiced frustration with the president in December after he vetoed legislation aimed at completing a project that would have delivered water to 50,000 people in southeastern Colorado. She has also aligned herself with Massie, being one of four Republicans to back a discharge petition on Massie and Rep. Ro Khanna’s (D-CA) bill that forced the Justice Department to release millions of files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
• Two terrorists attack Islamic center in San Diego. Two teenage suspects killed three men in a shooting at a San Diego mosque before killing themselves a few blocks away, San Diego’s police chief Scott Wahl said at a news conference Monday.A mosque security guard was among the dead in what is being described as a hate crime at the Islamic Center of San Diego, Wahl said. Police raced Monday to catch an armed teenage runaway before he and another teen opened fire on a San Diego mosque, killing three men and then themselves.
• Hantavirus and Ebola. President Donald J. Trump and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. are flying blind. The World Health Organization which Trump pulled the U.S. out of in 2025 warns that concerns about the hantavirus and ebola are spreading globally leading to another potential deadly pandemic. Determination of a public health emergency of international concern, including a pandemic emergency of the International Health Regulations (2005) (IHR), the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), after having consulted the States Parties where the event is known to be currently occurring, is hereby determining that the Ebola disease caused by Bundibugyo virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda constitutes a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC), but does not meet the criteria of pandemic emergency, as defined in the IHR. The Director-General of WHO expresses his gratitude to the leadership of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda for their commitment to take necessary and vigorous actions to bring the event under control, as well as for their frankness in assessing the risk posed by this event to other States Parties, hence allowing the global community to take necessary preparedness actions. In his determination the Director-General of WHO has considered, inter alia, information provided by the States Parties – the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda – scientific principles as well as the available scientific evidence and other relevant information; and assessed the risk to human health, the risk of international spread of disease and of the risk of interference with international traffic. As of May 2026, eight laboratory-confirmed cases, 246 suspected cases and 80 suspected deaths have been reported in Ituri Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo across at least three health zones, including Bunia, Rwampara and Mongbwalu. In addition, two laboratory confirmed cases (including one death) with no apparent link to each other have been reported in Kampala, Uganda, within 24 hours of each other, through May 2026, among two individuals travelling from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A further case reported on May 16, an individual returning from Ituri to Kinshasa, has tested negative for Bundibugyo virus on confirmatory testing by INRB, and is therefore not considered a confirmed case. In May 2026, a cluster of passengers with severe respiratory illness aboard a cruise ship was reported to the World Health Organization. The ship is carrying 147 passengers and crew. As of May 4th, seven cases (two laboratory confirmed cases of hantavirus and five suspected cases) have been identified, including three deaths, one critically ill patient and three individuals reporting mild symptoms. Illness onset occurred in April 2026 and was characterized by fever, gastrointestinal symptoms, rapid progression to pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome and shock. Further investigations are ongoing. The outbreak is being managed through coordinated international response, and includes in-depth investigations, case isolation and care, medical evacuation and laboratory investigations. Human hantavirus infection is primarily acquired through contact with the urine, faeces, or saliva of infected rodents. It is a rare but severe disease that can be deadly. Although uncommon, limited human to human transmission has been reported in previous outbreaks of Andes virus (a specific species of hantavirus). WHO currently assesses the risk to the global population from this event as low and will continue to monitor the epidemiological situation and update the risk assessment.

• pted murder, reckless discharge of a firearm, committing a felony while using a firearm (weapons with disability), disturbing the peace and reckless endangerment with a firearm. Eatherly appeared in court on Friday morning to officially hear his charges stemming from a shooting outside the courthouse. Eatherly and Joshua Fox were injured after a confrontation between the two led to a shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse, according to the District Attorney General for the 19th Judicial District. Both Eatherly, also known as “Chud the Builder” online, and Fox sustained gunshot wounds. Eatherly’s attorney, Jacob Fendley, declined to comment on the charges when reached two days after the livestreamer’s arrest. But he asked people to stop harassing him and his staff, saying even though he’s defending Eatherly, he finds his online content objectionable. The case has drawn interest, with Eatherly raising more than $100,000 for his legal defense in a single day on a fundraising site. It is reminiscent of an incident from a year ago in which a white Minnesota woman was captured on cellphone video admitting to calling a child a racist slur. She amassed over $800,000 on a crowdfunding site and also pointed to her First Amendment rights. Eatherly who himself infamous for his racial agitation was begging for a person to try him. The court believe he was intentional in his actions. Jake Lang who is facing a series of court issues faced a contempt charge for interrupting the court to support Eatherly.  Lang is forbidden from being in the courtroom and be ordered to not discuss any interactions post removal. Eatherly is being held on a $1.25 million get out free card. He is forbidden from accepting donors charity. He cannot contact the victim he shot. If he does make bail, he is forbidden to talk about the case, cannot be seen in public, must not confront citizens in protest, forbidden from being on any form of social media and be restricted to a formal curfew. 
• InfoWars gone and The Daily Wire struggling. Ben Shapiro put his money on support of Israel, it cost him big time. His support for the apartheid genocidal ethnostate has his supporters questioning his loyalty to the United States.
• When they filmed a movie in South Carolina, actors JC Kilcoyne and Jonathan Majors were injured when they fell outside a prop windows. The staff did a walkout after The Daily Wire failed to provide safe working conditions and union contractors. Their feud with Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson exposed a rift within MAGA. Shapiro's support for the aggression in Iran took the message off of America First. Like Republicans and conservatives care about the United States.
  A round of layoffs is underway at The Daily Wire, Barrett Media has confirmed.
  The first reports surfaced on Friday afternoon. Political reporter Cameron Arcand took to social media to share that he was included in the round of layoffs enacted.
  “I was impacted by layoffs today at The Daily Wire, so I am looking for opportunities in journalism/communications here in D.C.,” wrote Arcand. In a statement, The Daily Wire confirmed it was undergoing a round of layoffs. The company officially went dark on Thursday and in his last bastardization, he promises to return to the media soon. Jones lost a major civil case involving his constant peddling of bullshit. He made remarks about the victims of the Sandy Hook school in Newtown, Connecticut. He claimed that it was a false flag and the survivors are crisis actors. 
  The families sued Jones and InfoWars for $950 million. The decision along with his divorce from former wife Kelly has literally broke him. The Onion’s plan to take over the Infowars platforms that Alex Jones built into a bullhorn of conspiracy theories and turn them into parody sites was in limbo again Thursday, after a Texas court paused a proposed deal involving the satirical news outlet. Austin-based Infowars is facing liquidation because of the more than $1 billion in defamation lawsuit judgments Jones owes relatives of victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting for calling the Connecticut massacre a hoax. The proposed licensing deal would give The Onion temporary authority to use Infowars’ trademarks, copyrights and intellectual property while a state receiver in Texas works toward liquidation. A state judge in Austin had scheduled a hearing Thursday on whether to approve The Onion deal with the receiver. But the proceeding fizzled into a status conference because the Texas Third Court of Appeals late Wednesday approved an emergency motion by Jones’ lawyers that temporarily blocked the transfer of any Infowars assets. The judge set another hearing for May 28. Lawyers for the Sandy Hook families had asked the Texas Supreme Court to overturn the appeals court ruling, but the high court did not issue a decision before Thursday’s hearing.
• White House shooting again. Another attempt on the president's life. A mentally ill Black man decided to shoot his revolver near the entrance to The White House. A person who opened fire Saturday on a White House security checkpoint is dead after being shot by officers who returned fire, the U.S. Secret Service said. It was the third incidence of gunfire in the vicinity of President Donald Trump in the past month. The law enforcement agency said in a preliminary statement posted on X that the person in the area of 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue “pulled a weapon from his bag” shortly after 6 p.m. ET and began firing. The officers returned fire, hitting the suspect, who was taken to a hospital where he later died, the Secret Service said. The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Nasire Best, said a law enforcement official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the investigation. According to District of Columbia court records, Best was arrested in July 2025 after he attempted to enter a different White House checkpoint without authorization, didn’t heed officers’ commands to stop, “claimed he was Jesus Christ” and said he wanted to be arrested. An initial hearing was held, and a “Pretrial Stay Away Order” was issued, typically a measure ordering a defendant not to go near a person or area ahead of trial. A bench warrant was issued in August after a notice of “noncompliance” against Best, who did not show up for a subsequent hearing. It was the third time in the past month that gunfire has broken out near the president following incidents at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in April and near the Washington Monument earlier in May.
• John Cornyn falls. The Texas senate primary and run off became controversial when President Donald J. Trump endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. The Attorney General of Texas who was under a state and federal investigation into corruption. I mean two heads think alike I guess. Paxton cheated on his wife, stole from donors, ran the attorney general office as a mob racket. He won. Cornyn, a longtime supporter of Trump did push hard enough for the SAVE Act and pushed for his stupid ballroom.

Set the precedent for flawed politics.

Graham Platner, the presumptive nominee for the Democratic senate bid in Maine. He is facing off against curmudgeon Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), a former centrist Republican who is one the most vulnerable in 2026. Democrats favored Maine governor Janet Mills.

She dropped out after fundraising dried up and a couple of slip ups during her run.

Platner has been a spotlight on how the junk food media will drive negatives on flawed people.

A lot is said about him but none of it involves policies to help Maine or the United States.

The same gutter politics that drives American democracy further down. The junk food media rather have you focus on personal issues than the cost of living.

If everyone had to walk on a bed of nails to win a race, then a lot of feet will be bloody.

I have had it up to here with Israel meddling in the elections. If Graham Platner, Abdul El-Sayed, Cori Bush, Adam Hamawy or any candidate decides to stand up to Israel, you almost certain to expect this nonsense to happen.

I owe Nina Turner and Jen Perelman an apology. Had I known how much influence they had in the past, I would have rejected Reps. Shontel Brown (D-OH) and Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL).

Israel is behind the latest scandal involving Platner.

Graham Platner’s wife called the media disclosure that her husband had previously exchanged sexually explicit text messages with several women “shameful” over the weekend, the latest controversy to hit the Maine Democrat’s whirlwind Senate campaign.

Platner, an oyster farmer and combat veteran, posted a video taken by his wife, Amy Gertner, who reportedly told his campaign of the text messages last year. In the five-minute video, Gertner avoided speaking directly about her husband’s reported texts, dubbing the broader coverage as “gossip” and saying that “being married is hard.”

“I find it really shameful that there’s a group of media outlets and people who are willing to spread gossip,” she said in the informal, selfie-style video where she walked along a road. “No marriage is perfect, and I don’t want a perfect marriage. I want my marriage.”

Platner is seeking the Democratic nomination for one of the most closely watched Senate races as Democrats hope to defeat longtime Republican Sen. Susan Collins in the party’s efforts to win control of the narrowly divided Senate. The Maine primary is June 9.

Genevieve McDonald, a then-campaign staffer for Platner, told the The Associated Press that the candidate was “sexting multiple women while married” and that “the campaign tried to asses that as an election vulnerability.”

The texts were first reported by The Wall Street Journal, which wrote that Gertner had told the campaign in August about the messages, which she had discovered on his phone last year, to make sure they weren’t a liability to the campaign. Platner’s campaign team reportedly decided that the texts were private and being handled by the couple, who were married in 2023. The two are in counseling, Gertner has said.

Platner’s campaign on Sunday did not specifically confirm the text messages to the AP, but issued a statement from Gertner saying the disclosure of the conversations she had with a campaign aide was a betrayal that “deeply hurt.”

“I trusted this person with the most private chapter of our lives — the early days of our marriage before any campaign was on our mind,” she wrote.

It’s not Platner’s first controversy

Platner, who has never held public office, has a gruff, less buttoned-up approach on the campaign trail, fashioned a platform around economic equality and has already had to navigate statements that surfaced from his past.

The candidate had a tattoo recognized as a Nazi symbol, which he said he didn’t realize until he was several weeks into the campaign. There’s also been much attention on his former Reddit posts, which were dismissive of military sexual assaults and used homophobic slurs, for which he has apologized.

Platner’s campaign weathered those earlier revelations in what had been considered one of the most competitive Democratic primaries before Gov. Janet Mills dropped out of the race in late April due to a lack of campaign funds. Mills, a two-term governor, had been seen as one of the Democrats’ top 2026 recruits when she entered the Senate race before her campaign fizzled out.

Platner has still pulled support from big-name Democrats, including Sens. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Ruben Gallego as well as U.S. House Rep. Ro Khanna. The latter is scheduled to rally with Platner on Friday, and so far, it appears he hasn’t lost any endorsements with this latest texting revelation.

Two Democratic senators on Sunday declined to directly address the topic when pressed by reporters. Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy told CBS’ “Face the Nation” that Platner had served his country and community, but “also made mistakes and he has admitted that.”

On CNN’s “State of the Union,” New Jersey Sen. Andy Kim sidestepped, too. “With any campaign in the country, the character and the transparency about the different candidates is going to come out,” said Kim, “and the voters are going to decide what they ultimately think.”

Barreling forward Sunday, Platner posted a video on X from an event “happening now” where he entered a room to a standing ovation from ecstatic supporters.

Questions over whether additional controversial information about Platner could still surface have added to some Democrats’ anxiety over his chances in a general election against Collins, who has represented Maine in the Senate since 1997.

In October, after the revelation that he once had a Totenkopf tattoo on his chest and promptly had it covered, the AP asked him if other scandals were on the horizon.

Platner said he was expecting his opponents were “going to keep dragging things up.”

“They’re going to keep making things up,” he said. “I fully expect people to just lie about me at this point.”

Voters are familiar with the couple’s struggles, including with infertility and traveling out of the country to afford IVF treatment, which they’ve discussed on the campaign trail.

In late April, Platner shared that Gertner had suffered a miscarriage, and he’s discussed his own mental health struggles and the role of his family and therapist in helping.

Former aide explains why she went public

McDonald initially worked on Platner’s campaign as his political director and resigned a few months later when his now-deleted Reddit posts began surfacing, saying she couldn’t stand behind him as a candidate. She later declined a severance offer from the campaign in exchange for signing a non-disclosure agreement.

On Saturday, McDonald wrote on Facebook that Platner’s campaign had “demanded” she retract her statements she had made to The Wall Street Journal or his team would accuse her of violating the couple’s trust. McDonald wasn’t named in the newspaper’s article, but after that exchange, she said she made the choice to be publicly named in a New York Times story.

“His consultants greatly overestimate how much I do not aspire to be them,” she wrote on Facebook.

After resigning from Platner’s campaign, McDonald moved to help Democrat Jordan Wood’s congressional campaign in Maine’s second district. McDonald submitted her resignation from Wood’s campaign Saturday morning, according to Wood’s campaign.

Wood endorsed Platner after Mills dropped out.

Let me put this in layman's terms.... I don't care.

Folks, if we have to spent our life worrying about a man's marriage instead of how much your grocery bills are, that's your concern. If you are worried about paying more for car insurance, medical insurance and gas prices, then you should continue supporting Platner.

If you feel like Israel is more important than the state, the congressional district or your city, then vote for Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) or whomever the Democrats try to push forth to stifle Platner.

As the United States is celebrating its 250th anniversary, we are seeing the country on the decline. President Donald J. Trump, the 45th and 47th occupier will turn 80 on June 14.

The curmudgeon will continue to make claims that U.S. is the "hottest" country on the planet. The world sees the U.S. as an unreliable partner given the endless chaos in this Trump second term.

Trump wants the biggest things to happen this 250 years of the U.S. incorporating itself as a global country. 

The Red White and Blue events being held include this UFC fight on June 14. The IndyCar Freedom 250 will be held there. The World Cup is being held in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. 

The Great American State Fair is already off to a bad start. Many acts are pulling away from it fearing potential backlash or coin loss.

Less than 48 hours after Freedom 250 unveiled the entertainment lineup for its "Great American State Fair" in Washington, D.C., a growing number of announced performers publicly said they would not participate.

Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Young MC, Morris Day and The Time and The Commodores have now publicly stated the will not perform, with several alleging they were misled about the nature of the event.

The event is scheduled to take place on the National Mall as part of America's 250th anniversary celebrations.

What appears to be driving the backlash is a perception that Freedom 250, a public-private partnership created to help carry out events for the White House-led Task Force 250, is more closely aligned with President Donald Trump's administration and political movement than they initially understood. Freedom 250 is separate from the congressionally-established U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, which operates as America 250.

It's not clear what artists were told when they were booking the concert or what specifically made them feel the event was partisan in nature.

Freedom 250 pushed back Friday against claims that its Great American State Fair is partisan, defending the National Mall event.

"The Great American State Fair is a celebration of all Americans, and Freedom 250 remains fully committed to delivering a once-in-a-lifetime experience that brings every corner of this country together on the National Mall,” Freedom 250 Spokeswoman Rachel Reisner said in a statement.

“We respect the rights of any artist to make their own decisions, and our doors remain open to any performer who wants to be part of honoring 250 years of American freedom, culture, and unity," Reisner added.

McBride pulled out of the event earlier this week, saying she was misled about it.

"I was presented with an opportunity to perform at a nonpartisan event but that turned out to be misleading. I asked lots of questions and was assured this was a nonpartisan event that was meant to celebrate ALL 50 states," McBride said in a statement

Young MC echoed McBride's concerns on social media. 

"The artists were never told about any political involvement with the event. And despite the claims by the organizers that the event is non-partisan, SPIN magazine describes it as 'Trump-backed.' I hope to perform in D.C. in the near future at an event that is not so politically charged," Young MC wrote in a post.

In a statement on Friday morning, Michaels said his understanding of the event changed after it was announced.

"When this opportunity was originally presented to my team, it was described as a celebration of our country through music and a chance to honor our veterans, active military, first responders, teachers and hardworking Americans from all walks of life," Michaels said.

"Unfortunately, what was presented to us as a celebration of our country has evolved into something much more divisive than what I agreed to be a part of. Concerns have also been raised regarding the safety of my fans, band, crew, family and myself, including threats that are completely unfounded and unforgivable," Michaels added, not offering an explanation about what he felt made the event divisive.

The Commodores also cited a desire to avoid partisan affiliations.

"Our music has always been our voice and we choose not to publicly affiliate with any single political party," the group said in a statement. "We support the betterment of all Americans."

The status of C+C Music Factory remains unclear. Freedom Williams, who has performed under the group's name, posted a profanity-filled video to social media while on a toilet criticizing the event and suggesting he would participate. However, C+C Music Factory co-founder Robert Clivillés, who was not expected to perform at this event, publicly distanced the group from Williams' comments, saying Williams does not represent the group's views and the group would not be performing.

Milli Vanilli, the pop group famously stripped of its Grammy Award after a lip-syncing scandal, is also disputing the group's performance. One of the original vocalist told ABC News they were not contacted to participate in the event, accusing Fab Morvan -- the surviving member of the lip-syncing pop duo -- of using the Milli Vanilli name for a performance they say does not represent the original group, sound or singers.

Morvan, in a statement, said he would perform at the event and was "looking forward" to "finally sing Milli Vanilli songs live in person."

Not all performers have backed out of the event.

Representatives for Vanilla Ice told ABC News the rapper still plans to perform.

"Vanilla Ice is contracted and will perform at the Great American Fair at the National Mall on Friday, June 26. He is proud to help celebrate America's 250th Anniversary. Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate USA's Birthday and our Freedom!" 

As of Friday, rapper and singer Flo Rida has not publicly announced whether he still plans to perform.

Gottheimer demands Hamawy respond to the claims of being associated with people who assisted Omar Abdel-Rahman. The junk food media labeled Abdel-Rahman the "blind sheikh" and U.S. convicted him for being responsible for the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. Abdel-Rahman passed away in 2017 while serving LIFE in federal time out.

The allegations Hamawy volunteered in 1994 for an organization later designated as an al-Qaeda front. 

Hamawy’s campaign slammed as "garbage" and a "desperate" attempt to discredit him right before the June 2026 primary—revealed that as a medical student, he spent five weeks in Bosnia with the Benevolence International Foundation.

These doofuses refuse to back candidates who are against status quo politics.

Following the September 11 attacks, federal and international authorities raided and shut down the foundation after determining it acted as a front to provide logistical and financial support to Al-Qaeda.

Gottheimer is one of those members who is racist. He is a problem in the Democratic Party. He is a tone deaf member who continues to exhibit tendencies of being a Republican in disguise like Jeff Van Drew.

Van Drew famously switching parties shortly after President Donald J. Trump's first impeachment ran as a Democrat but switched to become a Republican. He is an active supporter of Trump's aggression in Iran. Same with Gottheimer.

Booker claims he will take a neutral stance. The same doofus who endorsed Sherif Street over Chris Rabb in a congressional race in Philadelphia. Rabb went on to win handily. Republicans have no opponent so it is very likely Rabb will win a seat as a U.S. House member.

Booker is hinting another run for president. He has little chance given his staunch support of Israel and his endless gaslighting. Black voters are not backing him.

Sen. Andy Kim (D-NJ), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Pramilia Jayapal (D-WA), Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA), Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL), Chris Rabb, Abdul El-Sayed and Zohran Mamdani endorsed Hamawy.

The New Jersey primary for the 12th Congressional District is on Tuesday. It also will be another round for Rep. Analila Mejia (D-NJ) who recently won her special general election. She will face Justin Strickland, Joseph Lewis II and Donald Cresitello in her primary race for the 10th Congressional District.

AIPAC has secretly funded Hamawy and Mejia's opponents. They are hoping that their lack of presence could help push a pro Israel Democrat as the nominee.

Reps. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Ralph Norman (R-SC) are on that list of headaches.

Trump endorsed three Republican gubernatorial candidates Friday, wading into contests in South Carolina, Iowa and Oklahoma that have pitted allies against each other in a fierce competition for their party leader’s blessing.

In a trio of social media posts, Trump gave his backing to South Carolina Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette, Iowa Rep. Randy Feenstra and former Oklahoma state senator Mike Mazzei as primary elections approach.

Iowa’s primary is Tuesday, South Carolina’s is on June 9 and Oklahoma’s is on June 16. All three states are having their first competitive Republican gubernatorial primaries in years.

For two terms, Evette has served alongside Gov. Henry McMaster, one of Trump’s earliest backers during his first presidential campaign. Earlier this year, the long-serving governor endorsed his No. 2, telegraphing to some that Trump’s backing could be next.

On Friday, Trump expressed both appreciation for Evette and the state she represents, noting that she stumped for him in 2024. He also said “A BIG added plus” for her campaign is that Henry McMaster Jr. — the sitting governor’s son — may be Evette’s running mate.

House Republicans who didn't pass his SAVE Act face his wrath. 

In the deep red state of South Carolina, the competition for the president’s support has been the most intense part of the primary race.

In a separate post, Trump described Feenstra as “MAGA all the way” and said he would “fight tirelessly” for the state on issues including the economy, border security and support of law enforcement.

Evette and Feenstra have been vocal about wanting Trump’s endorsement, in the hopes that it would carry weight in states that helped propel Trump’s return to office in 2024. Feenstra said earlier this year that he asked for Trump’s support, and much of Evette’s campaign media has featured photos of her next to Trump.

Along with Feenstra, four other Republicans — state Rep. Eddie Andrews, businessman and former conservative political director Zach Lahn, former state Rep. Evette is competing for the South Carolina nomination against Rep. Nancy Mace, Rep. Ralph Norman and state Attorney General Alan Wilson.

Mazzei is running to replace Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, who is finishing his second term. He’s competing against state Attorney General Gentner Drummond, former state House Speaker Charles McCall and former state public safety secretary Chip Keating.

“Mike Mazzei has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Governor of Oklahoma — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!” Trump wrote on social media.

About 75% of Trump supporters or perhaps MAGA will back the candidate that is endorsed by President Donald J. Trump.

Sens. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) and John Cornyn (R-TX) were defeated by MAGA candidates Rep. Julia Letlow (R-LA) and Ken Paxton, the Texas Attorney General.

Reps. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) lost their primaries to MAGA.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) came lucky. There is no viable opponent but Trump vows to get her gone.

Marjorie Taylor Greene quit the House rather than lose a primary race.

Pamela Evette was the lieutenant governor was forced to resign her commencement speech at a historically Black college.

The U.S. Treasury is planning on printing special denomination with the image of Trump on a $250 bill. The U.S. currency officially starts with dollar denominations of $1, $2, $5, $10, 20, $50 and $100. The $500, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 and $100,000 were taken out of rotation. Some the higher denomination still exist but rare finds. 

The lower counts include $.01 (until 2034), $.05, $.10, $.25, $.50 and $1.00 coins.

The bill's development, first reported by the Washington Post on Thursday, comes in response to legislation proposed last year by Wilson the department said. 

The guy who infamously said "You Lie" in during former president Barack Obama's Joint Session of Congress now wants to put President Donald J. Trump's face on banknotes.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent addressed the $250 bill at a White House press briefing on Thursday. 

"For U.S. currency at present, no living person can be on U.S. currency, and the currency must say 'In God We Trust'," he said. "So right now, there is proposed legislation that is in front of the House, in front of the Senate, to change the first requirement so that a living person, Donald J. Trump, could be on the $250 bill."

"So we have prepared in advance that if the legislation is passed. But we will stick to the law," Bessent added.

A Treasury Department official told CBS News in an email that the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is "conducting appropriate planning and due diligence in response to the proposed legislation."

The official added, "Should this legislative mandate be signed into law, the BEP is moving proactively to produce a $250 commemorative note which will appropriately recognize the 250th Anniversary of our great nation."

Federal law stipulates that "only the portrait of a deceased individual may appear on United States currency and securities." Wilson's bill would amend the Federal Reserve Act by requiring the Treasury secretary to print $250 bills that "feature a portrait of Donald J. Trump."

After the "Donald J. Trump $250 Bill Act" was introduced in Congress in February 2025, it was referred to the House Committee on Financial Services that same day. It has since stalled out, with no actions since then.

Over the past year, the president has sought to imprint more forms of currency with his name or image, with the Treasury announcing in March that future currency would bear Mr. Trump's signature. In October, the department said it was working on a $1 coin featuring the president's image to mark the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence this July 4. 

It takes a fool to make something like this.

What would the bill look like?

Asked about the bill's design, the Treasury Department official referred CBS News to Rep. Wilson's legislation. A press release on Wilson's website shows an AI design mock-up that features a color portrait of Mr. Trump on the left-hand side of a $250 note. 

Another version appeared in the Washington Post article, with the publication noting the image was a mockup provided by White House officials to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing staff. The image depicts a bill printed in shades of green ink, similar to current banknotes, with a center image of Mr. Trump. 

New currency designs can take years to develop, according to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Designs typically are only released to the public six to eight months before the currency enters circulation to hamper counterfeiters, the bureau says.

Given that design process, the Treasury Department official said that "any 'designs' or 'mockups' circulating are not real."

The $250 bill would be the latest addition to a lineup of currency created to celebrate the nation's 250th anniversary. In December 2025, the Treasury Department unveiled a series of new designs for the nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar that will appear on coins minted in 2026.

"The designs on these historic coins depict the story of America's journey toward a 'more perfect union,' and celebrate America's defining ideals of liberty," the U.S. Mint said on its website.

 A suspected biolaboratory found in a Las Vegas home and now under investigation by authorities is linked to the owner of an unauthorized California biolab who was arrested in 2023, officials said Monday.

The U.S. apprehended a Chinese national who hosted a biochemical lab in the country and Canada.

SWAT officers served a search warrant on Saturday after receiving a tip that a biolab was located at the house on the city’s east side, according to a statement from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Officers took one person, the property manager of the residence, into custody but there was no immediate information about possible charges.

Investigators “located evidence of possible biological material, including refrigerators containing vials with unknown liquids,” the statement said.

Authorities said there is no threat to the public.

Sheriff Kevin McMahill said the home is owned by a man who was arrested in 2023 on charges of not obtaining the proper permits to manufacture tests for COVID-19, pregnancy and HIV, and mislabeling some of the kits for a biolab in Reedley, California.

The owner, Jia Bei Zhu, is scheduled to go on trial in that case in April. His attorney Anthony Capozzi said Monday that his client has been in federal custody for three years.

“He is not involved in any kind of a biolab being conducted in a home in Las Vegas,” Capozzi said. “What went on in that residence we are unaware of.”

Law enforcement took special precautions when serving the warrant on the Las Vegas home, including using a robot to clear the home and taking multiple air samples, McMahill said. Hazmat teams worked to remove items from the home.

The FBI is assisting in the investigation.

Turns out that Ori Solomon was the person assistanting Jia Bei Zhu. 

Federal prosecutors have dropped their case against the man arrested in connection with a biolab uncovered in Las Vegas earlier this year.

The U.S. Attorney's office for Nevada filed a motion earlier this month to dismiss the criminal complaint filed against Ori Solomon, also spelled as "Salomon" in the complaint.

Prosecutors had charged him with illegal possession of a firearm in the U.S. District Court for Nevada. An FBI complaint alleged that his immigration status precluded him from owning or possessing a gun.

"After a careful review of the evidence and additional information provided by defendant, the Government has concluded that the interests of justice require dismissal of the complaint at this time," reads the motion to dismiss, dated May 11.

No further reason is included, and a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney's Office for Nevada declined to comment. News 3 has reached out to Solomon's attorney for comment.

The motion to dismiss is without prejudice, meaning prosecutors could elect to re-file the complaint.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police and the FBI jointly announced Solomon's arrest after responding to an alleged biological laboratory found in an east Las Vegas home in January.

LVMPD said Solomon, identified as the home's property manager, was arrested on suspicion of disposing and discharging hazardous waste.

The state-level case against him remains ongoing in Las Vegas Justice Court, though a criminal complaint has not yet been filed.

The suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz Carpetbags Into Black District!

Florida decided to do its controversial redistricting to help the unpopular Republicans hold a majority in the state. The former Democratic National Committee chairwoman who is currently a representative in the U.S. House had her district drawn out.

Now in a desperation move, the pro Israel Democrat is now running in a district that has a majority Black constituency. It is drawing a backlash.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) deserves to lose. Her staunch support of Israel, her tone deafness to the issues in her own district and the support of status quo politics will doom her.

Schultz has supported the Iran aggression. She criticized President Donald J. Trump for being willing to cave to Iran. That right there shows more concern for the interests of Israel.

She was one of the voters who condemned Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) in a resolution that censured her for calling Israel an apartheid genocidal ethnostate.

Some of the Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) supporters believe she rigged the delegates progress to push forward former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

She is one of the sponsors of the definition of antisemitism by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. Wasserman Schultz also condemned Hasan Piker, a far left agitator who calls for an end to Israel aid and assistance.

Now she wants the seat that former lawmaker Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick held.

Wasserman Schultz's decision to run in a historically Black district intensified when 10 members of the Florida Democratic National Committee issued a joint statement formally condemning one of the party’s most veteran lawmakers.

Wasserman Schultz decided to abandon District 25 for the safer, deep-blue waters of District 20 after the Florida Legislature—under heavy pressure from Gov. Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump—redrew the state's congressional map to aggressively favor Republicans.

While Wasserman Schultz represented the same geographic pocket and Democratic stronghold of southern Broward County for over 21 years, the newly enacted map scattered the congresswoman’s traditional suburban base across five separate districts. The reengineered District 25 is now a skinny, coastal strip running along the Atlantic Ocean from Delray Beach in Palm Beach County to barrier islands in Miami-Dade County.

Black leaders criticize Wasserman Schultz move to District 20

“Our party cannot credibly denounce the dismantling of Black political power by Republicans while treating one of Florida’s few remaining majority-Black districts as a political opportunity for an incumbent seeking a safer seat,” the state DNC members said in the joint letter Tuesday.

Among the state DNC members signing letters was Vice Chair Daniel Henry, former State Rep. Sean Shaw and Tampa City Councilman Alan Clendenin.

The Florida Black Caucus issued its own statement on May 22, saying District 20 was established to remedy decades of racial exclusion. “Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz's decision to pursue reelection in this historically Black district, despite explicit request from the Black community to seek candidacy in a neighboring district, is disheartening," the Caucus said.

The friends you keep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick and Debbie Wasserman Schultz are pro Israel lawmakers. Cherfilus-McCormick resigned under pressure. Wasserman Schultz now wants to creep into the seat.

State Sen. Shevrin Jones said the issue was not about Wasserman Schultz’s leadership. “My fight is for Black representation, and I am in the business of expanding it, not diminishing it,” he said. “Everyone deserves to have a seat at the table.”

District 20 was represented by Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, but she resigned her seat last month after a House Ethics Committee investigation determined she misused about $5 million in federal FEMA funds. Alcee Hastings represented the area for 28 years before his death in 2021.

Under the new Republican map, District 20 wasn’t spared. Its voting-age Black population is now 45%—making it now technically a Black-plurality district.

Congresswoman says her tenure makes her best suited to deliver

Wasserman Schultz did not immediately respond for a request to comment on the joint letter issued Tuesday. However, she did defend her choice to run in District 20 to CBS News Miami on May 22, saying that she would be able to deliver for residents better than a newcomer if Democrats win back the U.S. House as the most senior Democrat in the Florida delegation.

“I’m a senior member of the House Appropriation Committee. I am the ranking member of a subcommittee in appropriations, making me at the leadership table,” she said.

“The people in District 20 know me and I know them,” Wasserman Schultz continued. “People know I show up for them.”

Wasserman Schultz called the Legislature's redistricting illegal. On Tuesday, a Leon County judge denied a preliminary injunction sought by voting rights groups to block the newly enacted map.

The Democratic primary is set for Aug. 18 and currently has eight candidates, including Cherfilus-McCormick attempting a political comeback and Miami hip-hop pioneer Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell.

The GOP has also piled on criticism of the congresswoman, saying she is “running scared” rather than face re-election in the newly defined District 25, which now has an evenly divided number of registered Democrats and Republicans. 

Maureen O’Toole, spokesperson for the National Republican Congressional Committee, said in a statement Wasserman Schultz “is abandoning her home district because she knows she was headed for defeat in a seat President Trump won by double digits."

Lt. Col. Alex Vindman, the former National Security Council member running for U.S. Senate in Florida, said the Democratic infighting is playing right into Republicans' hands and was part of the design of the new map.

“It’s exactly what they (Republicans) are looking for,” he said. “When a party has no ideas that connect with the electorate, they try to steal an election.”

Elijah Manley, a Democrat also running District 20, said the acrimony "sends a message that the Democrats don't have all their marbles together and I think the fault is on Debbie Wasserman Schultz ."

"Debbie is only concerned about her own career because she had multiple options," said Manley, adding that the veteran congresswoman could have run in District 25 or even District 22 where two progressive underdogs are looking to represent the Democrats.

Biden is suing the Department Of Justice after the agency allowed The Heritage Foundation to obtain access to the former president's private discussions. It is an attempt to rehash the Hunter Biden and health concerns plaguing him.

Biden sued the Justice Department on Tuesday in an effort to block the release of audio recordings and transcripts of the former president’s interview with a ghostwriter that were obtained by the special counsel who investigated his handling of classified documents.

Biden’s lawyers said in a lawsuit filed in Washington’s federal court that the Justice Department plans to release the files to Congress and a conservative group, the Heritage Foundation, after the department had previously argued that they were exempt from disclosure under the public records law.

Biden’s lawyers argued that the disclosure would “constitute an unwarranted invasion of President Biden’s privacy.”

“Every American, including a sitting or former Vice President, has a right to privacy in the personal conversations he has within his own home,” his attorneys wrote. “And when the U.S. Department of Justice obtains that private information through a criminal investigation, the Department bears a particular responsibility to protect it from disclosure.”

At issue in the case are audio recordings and transcripts of Biden’s interviews at his home in 2016 and 2017 with Mark Zwonitzer, who worked with Biden on his two memoirs. The files were scrutinized by special counsel Robert Hur as part of his investigation into the president’s improper retention of classified documents, from his time as a senator and as vice president.

Hur’s yearlong investigation led to a 345-page report that questioned Biden’s age and mental competence but recommended no criminal charges against the then-81-year-old. Hur said he found insufficient evidence to successfully prosecute a case in court.

Biden has separately fought the release of the audio of his interview with Hur. The House in 2024 voted to hold Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over that audio after the White House exerted executive privilege, shielding it from Congress.

The transcripts of five hours of Biden interviews with federal prosecutors was released that same year. While Biden was adamant that he treated classified information seriously, the transcript shows that he was at times fuzzy about dates and details and he said he was unfamiliar with the paper trail for some of the sensitive documents he handled.

Republicans have argued Biden was being given a pass by his own Justice Department and that Trump had been unfairly victimized by prosecutors. Democrats, for their part, stressed Biden’s cooperation in the investigation and strongly contrasted that with the separate criminal case against Trump, who was accused of refusing to return classified documents requested by the National Archives that he had at his Florida estate.

Dr. Jill Biden, the former first lady publicly came forth about her husband. She thought Joe was having a stroke when he did his only debate with Trump. It was a disaster and it forced him to announce he was no longer seeking reelection.

In the Democratic National Committee autospy report, the Democrats placed the blame on Biden for not stepping aside earlier after he had some missteps early into the term.

Biden known for having a stutter was also facing concerns about cognitive decline.

His attempts to explain away his performance and offer reassurance that he could handle four more years of the demanding job did little to assuage voters. Under mounting pressure from within his party, he stepped aside, and Democrats nominated Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I don’t know what happened,” Jill Biden said in the interview. “As I watched it, I thought, ‘Oh, my God, he’s having a stroke.’ And it scared me to death.”

The former first lady is promoting a book due out next week, “View from the East Wing: A Memoir.”

E. Jean Carroll, the writer who claimed Trump sexually assaulted her in the 1990s won a civil lawsuit against him.

Trump is an adjudicated sexual predator.

E. Jean Carroll won millions in damages in two separate cases against the president, one that found him liable for sexual assault in 2023 and one that found Trump defamed her the following year. Both decisions were upheld on appeal, though the president has appealed the sexual assault case yet again, this time to the Supreme Court, which has postponed its choice on whether or not to take up the case twelve separate times, including on Wednesday.

Also on Wednesday came CNN’s report that Trump’s Justice Department has begun a criminal investigation into Carroll surrounding the possibility that she committed perjury when she claimed in a 2022 deposition that her lawsuit against the president was not funded by any outside backers. Billionaire Reid Hoffman, Carroll’s lawyers later told the judge, paid some of her legal fees.

Carroll’s legal team claimed she had no association with the Hoffmans’ nonprofit that helped pay the fees, and the judge allowed Trump’s lawyers to question Carroll in another deposition, though they were blocked from further questions about Hoffman during the trial.

“We can confirm that no U.S. Attorney’s Office has declined to investigate any case relating to the subject matter of CNN’s inquiry,” a Justice Department spokesperson told CNN. “We will not comment beyond that.”

Sources told the outlet the location of the case in Chicago is due to Hoffman’s nonprofit, which is located in the city.

Carroll’s team declined to comment to CNN, and the outlet’s attempts to reach Hoffman on Wednesday were unsuccessful

The UFC confirms it will host an event at The White House. While people are complaining about the price of gas, the price of groceries, the price of insurance premiums, the frustration with their jobs, the frustration with elitism, President Donald J. Crews are erecting an octagon-shaped cage on the South Lawn that will host next month’s UFC bout, helping mark the nation’s 250th anniversary — and President Donald Trump ‘s 80th birthday.

Online renderings depict what the completed, wire-mesh-fence-ringed fight space is expected to look like ahead of the June 14 event. It will be ringed by a red, white and blue stage under a towering arch featuring stars and stripes patterns and two large screens carrying the action live.

The cage and stage will themselves be surrounded by thousands of temporary seats, including ringside space for a full marching band that can set the entire scene to blaring music.

The project is part of a series of events celebrating the semiquincentennial of the Declaration of Independence’s signing on July 4, 1776. Other planned functions include an IndyCar race that will pass by the White House and the Great American State Fair taking place on the National Mall.

Trump has said that the finished UFC project will feature “a 5,000-seat arena right outside the front door of the White House.” Additional large screens broadcasting the fights will be set up in a park at the nearby Ellipse, and the UFC has said it plans to issue as many as 85,000 free tickets to accommodate spectators at both locations.

“I have never seen anybody want anything so much as people want those tickets,” Trump said recently of demand to attend the UFC fight, adding, “That’s gonna be something.”

The card has been panned by fans online as underwhelming, featuring just two championship fights. Brazil’s Alex Pereira will meet France’s Ciryl Gane for the interim UFC heavyweight title. Then Spanish-Georgian lightweight champion Ilia Topuria takes on interim champ Justin Gaethje, one of just two Americans who currently hold even a share of the UFC’s 11 championship belts.

The octagon and surrounding structures are the latest project in the White House building boom Trump is leading.

The president’s other efforts to leave his mark include tearing up part of the Rose Garden to make room for a patio space reminiscent of his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, affixing partisan plaques to the wall of the colonnade for a Presidential Walk of Fame, redoing the bathroom attached to the Lincoln Bedroom and renovating the Palm Room, placing new flag poles on the north and south lawns and demolishing the entire East Wing for a sprawling ballroom.

The president also wants to repaint the Eisenhower Executive Office Building beside the White House and build a 250-foot arch at the nearby Lincoln Memorial — the same monument where weigh-ins for the upcoming UFC fight are scheduled to take place, bout organizers say.

Far Right Wants Alberta To Break From Canada!

He literally threatened to make Canada the 51st State.

Far right politicians who oppose Prime Minister Mark Carney are trying to break from the dominion. Canada made of 10 provinces and three territories is the second largest land mass in the world. 

Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine are the states that border Canada either through land or water.

Russia, United States, Norway, Greenland, the French territory St. Pierre and Miquelon border Canada.

British Colombia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut, Northwest Territories and Yukon make up the Dominion.

Ontario is the most populated province. The largest city is Toronto.

The national capital is Ottawa, located in Ontario is the fourth largest city that is not a federal district.

Quebec is the only province with 94% of its residents speaking French. 6% speak multi languages. New Brunswick has 35% of its residents speaking French. Ontario has 10% speaking French.

Most of Canada is remote. So if you get lost, you are lost.

Quebec is trying to form their own government where they can oversee their own values.

Alberta, the Canadian equivalent to Idaho and Oklahoma want to break away and have autonomy with the United States.

Carney on Monday compared Alberta’s vote on whether to move toward independence to Brexit, calling it a potential “dangerous bluff.”

Carney said if Alberta does it, they could lose big time.

Danielle Smith, the premier of Canada’s oil-rich province of Alberta, said last week a vote would be held Oct. 19 on whether Alberta should stay in Canada or take legal steps under the Constitution to hold a binding referendum on leaving.

Carney drew on his experience with Brexit in his comments. Carney was the governor of the Bank of England in 2016 when Britain voted to leave the European Union, and he helped navigate the central bank through it.

“I saw firsthand what happened in the United Kingdom when the view was, ‘Vote for this, it’ll be soft and then we’ll negotiate, etc.,’ Carney said. “They’re still 10 years later trying to undo what people didn’t think they were voting for, but what they ended up having.”

Smith’s party didn’t run on or mention a referendum in the last provincial election campaign.

Carney said the vote is not helpful when he’s trying to attract investment to Canada. He suggested it is undemocratic.

“Is it the democratic will of Albertans? Did they vote for this in the last provincial election? No, they didn’t. It wasn’t on the ballot paper,” Carney said.

Smith has said she supports Alberta remaining in Canada. Some have compared her stance to the one of Britain’s then-Prime Minister David Cameron ahead of the Brexit referendum, which he embraced as a way to manage a vocal faction of his ruling party while not wanting the U.K. to leave the European Union.

Carney is working on getting a new oil pipeline built from Alberta to Canada’s Pacific coast. Many Albertans have long complained that Ottawa hasn’t done enough to get Alberta’s vast oil reserves to Asian markets.

“We have to be very careful about this. There’s a very strong positive case for Canada, a strong Alberta in a united Canada,” Carney said. “I look forward to making that case with many, many other Albertans and Canadians over the course of the next 150 days.”

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is not in favor of separation.

Responding to Carney’s comments Monday, Smith said separation is an issue for Albertans alone to decide.

“Albertans’ frustrations have been fueled by the last 10 years of disastrous policies from Ottawa under … Justin Trudeau,” Smith said in a statement from her office, referencing the previous prime minister.

“I would also remind all Canadians that we should not dismiss the legitimate grievances of Albertans. Instead, we should focus on addressing these issues, restoring hope in Canada, and demonstrating that our country can work and is working.”

if Alberta leaves the dominion. All its citizens could lose citizenship. They will have to give up their passports and pay for new passports to enter Canada or the United States.

Also the indigenous First Nation residents will likely oppose a move as it violates their sovereignty.

The tax revenue from Ottawa will likely dry up and the Canadian government will no longer provide assistance or financial support to Alberta. 

Albertans will have to debate on whether they establish their own confederation where some may eventually protest it and violently fight to stay Canadian.

Others will have to make arrangements to assure their lives are not upended through an independence movement.

It is a colossal mess and I believe the U.S. and Israeli interests are involved in this.

Israel wants to put a footprint in Alberta.
