America, we got a problem.

The latest jobs report for the month of November. Since October and September were delayed because of the government shutdown, we are not going to get accurate numbers.

Days of decline are ahead.

Examples of democratic backsliding include:

  • Free and fair elections are degraded;
  • Liberal rights of freedom of speech, press and association decline, impairing the ability of the political opposition to challenge the government, hold it to account, and propose alternatives to the current regime;
  • The rule of law (i.e., judicial and bureaucratic restraints on the government) is weakened, such as when the independence of the judiciary is threatened, or when civil service tenure protections are weakened or eliminated.
  • An over-emphasis on national security as response to acts of terrorism or perceived antagonists.
  • Politicians can't agree on funding essential needs and services which trigger spiteful pain on the citizens.

Now this jobs report.

Of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, the jobs report details how many jobs were spread across the United States. Some areas seen job growth while others saw job losses.

Nonfarm payrolls grew slightly more than expected in November but slumped in October while unemployment hit its highest in four years, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Tuesday in numbers delayed by the government shutdown.

Job growth totaled a seasonally adjusted 64,000 for the month, better than the Dow Jones estimate of 45,000 and up from a sharp decline in October.

The unemployment rate rose to 4.6%, more than expected and its highest level since September 2021. A more encompassing measure that includes discouraged workers and those holding part-time jobs for economic reasons swelled to 8.7%, its peak going back to August 2021.

In addition to the November report, the BLS released an abbreviated October count that showed payrolls down 105,000. While there was no official estimate, Wall Street economists were largely expecting a decline following a surprise increase of 108,000 in September.

The October slump came from a steep fall in government employment as deferred layoffs instituted earlier this year took effect. Government payrolls were off 162,000 for the month, and fell an additional 6,000 in November.

The October decline marked the third time in six months that payrolls saw a net negative level. The BLS report also showed that August's numbers were revised down 22,000 to show a steeper loss of 26,000, while September's initial count was pushed lower by 11,000.

The BLS had cautioned that the household survey, which is used to calculate the unemployment rate, will be affected for several months by impacts of the shutdown. Challenges in capturing the October numbers led to the cancellation of both the jobs report and the closely watched consumer price index.

Despite the complications, the report painted a familiar picture of the labor market.

The jobs climate continues to be one of low hiring and low firing, affected as well by stringent border practices under President Donald Trump that have drained the workforce of the usual influx of immigrants.

The establishment numbers showed most of the gains in November came from a familiar source — health care added 46,000 jobs, accounting for more than 70% of the total net increase. Construction rose by 28,000, while social assistance contributed 18,000.

On the down side, transportation and warehousing was off 18,000, part of a continuing trend in job losses for the sector. Leisure and hospitality also posted a loss of 12,000.

"The U.S. economy is in a jobs recession," said Heather Long, chief economist at Navy Federal Credit Union. "The nation has added a mere 100,000 in the past six months. The bulk of those jobs were in healthcare, an industry that is almost always hiring due to America's aging population."

From a policy perspective, the Federal Reserve has had to work a difficult line between trying to head off further weakness in the labor market and guarding against making stubbornly high inflation worse.

At its most recent meeting, the central bank lowered its key interest rate by a quarter percentage point but signaled that the bar is higher for additional cuts. The Fed has approved three consecutive reductions since September, taking its benchmark funds rate down to a target range of 3.5%-3.75%.

"The Fed is unlikely to put much weight on today's report given data disruptions," said Kay Haigh, global co-head of fixed income and liquidity solutions at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. "The report on December's employment data, released in early January ahead of the next meeting, will likely be a much more meaningful indicator for the Fed when it comes to deciding the near-term policy trajectory."

Markets continued to put low odds on another rate cut in January. The probability was around 24.4% following the jobs report, unchanged from Monday, according to the CME Group's FedWatch.

Mike Johnson, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are by far the worst leaders in Washington.

Fed officials have maintained that the labor market is not a source of inflation, and Tuesday's jobs report backed up that assertion.

Average hourly earnings rose just 0.1% for the month, below the estimate for 0.3%, and were up 3.5% from a year ago, the smallest annual gain since May 2021.

The 0.1 percentage point increase in the unemployment rate was largely a function of labor force growth.

Over the two-month period, household employment actually increased by 407,000. However, that was offset partially by a rise of 323,000 in the labor force as the participation rate edged higher to 62.5%.

In other economic news Tuesday, the Commerce Department reported that retail sales were flat in September, against a forecast for a 0.1% increase, according to numbers adjusted for seasonality but not inflation. Excluding autos, however, sales increased 0.4%, better than the 0.2% estimate.

One of the victims, 20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom, succumbs to her injuries the following day, while the other, 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe, is left "fighting for his life" in hospital.[819] A suspect, 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal, is taken into custody.[820]
  • November 27 – Trump announces that the US will "permanently pause migration" from all "third world countries".[821]

December

Israel is having some problems. Iran, worldwide boycotts, Israelis being denied entry into countries, active IDF soliders being detained or arrested in ICC supported countries, instability, wildfires, protests and soliders losing trust in their government. We are seeing the collapse coming.

The recent events involving the phony U.S.-backed ceasefire.

The end of movie theaters as we know it.

Israel has violated the ceasefire over 300 times. They are still killing people, still withholding aid and continuing to push propaganda to shield itself from accountability.

Public officials and federal elected officials from both sides have tried to push more nanny state policies in defense of Israel. Officials from the Bush, Obama, Biden and Trump Administration have ran cover for this apartheid ethnostate.

France, Great Britain, Italy, Canada, Australia, Spain, Portugal, Mexico and the Netherlands officially move to recognize Palestinian statehood. Israel and the United States denounced it quickly. Trump and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio threaten revocation of visas and tariffs.

Israel and its allies overplayed the use of antisemitism. From now on, as long as there is no violence towards anyone practicing Christianity, Judaism or Islam, I will not hold my tongue. You can freely criticize Israel, Jews, Trump, Vance, Biden, Harris, Benjamin Netanyahu, AIPAC, the Anti-Defamation League, Jonathan Greenblatt, Zionism, colonialism, imperialism, slavery, racism, Christian nationalism and white supremacy.

Racism unfortunately is protected speech.

Antisemitism is protected speech.

Being a bigot is a choice which allows some people to "other" those who do not agree with the status quo of how America is ran. 

Trump is against DEI. The president supports banning DEI when it supports people of color, those in LGBTQ community and immigrants. Every other religion that isn't Christian, Catholic or Jewish is DEI and it has to go.

The U.S. violated the USMCA by imposing tariffs on its trading partners. Mexico and Canada have vowed to impose their series of tariffs. BRICS is courting Mexico to join the organization.

The world is losing patience with the U.S. and Israel. Many countries are moving away from the U.S. dollar.

Israelis are being banned from entry in several Global South countries.

Countries have now denied entry to Israeli passport holders: Algeria, Bangladesh, Brunei, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, The United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. 

Thailand and Qatar are considering it.

More countries are considering to ban Israelis. The only country that wants to keep Israelis coming in without any problems is the United States.

Trump despite winning the election is still telling Americans that if he doesn't win, there will be all out war. He has already sparked global tension with threats of tariffs on our trading partners.

Republicans can't govern in the House of Representatives and Senate. Every government shutdown is a prime example of how their incompetence is in full effect. They are pushing authoritarianism in states they have control of. They are banning swatting, honing and regulations on testing. But when it comes to people being killed by firearms, they refuse to do something. Even with the Big Beautiful Bill on cusp of being passed, Republicans still sabotage themselves and Trump. The bill itself is a disgrace that could impact millions of working class Americans, the poor, the needy, transgender Americans, professional gamblers, the adult entertainment industry and so many others. 

Republicans don't care because of course, y'all voted for this.

Republicans are using dog whistles when talking about Blacks, immigrants, transgender Americans, Israel, crime, protesters and gun violence.

1. Hamas is called terrorists because of Israel and the United States. They labeled them terrorists because of their resistance to Israel violently occupying their land. Israel has resorted to years of shameful aggression to punish Gazans and those in the West Bank. The United States gave aid and cover to this for over a generation. Those who support Hamas or defend their actions are labeled terrorist sympathizers, antisemitic, traitors, unpatriotic, radicals or whatever they conjure up. The Zionists are getting desperate. They are resorting to violence and threats of banning critics.

2. Gun violence is the No. 1 threat to children and adults. When gun violence happen in Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Atlanta, Washington, DC, Detroit and Baltimore, a Republican lawmaker wants to blame gun violence on Democratic mayors instead of the Congress. We are on record with 450 mass shootings this year alone. White men with firearms are more dangerous than any other person. 

3. Immigration is right now at record lows. The world views the U.S. as a hostile country and migrants from the Global South are beginning to ban American influence. They fear Trump's presidency could cause instability. Republicans are pushing for border closures, border/segregation walls, mass deportations, elimination of birthright citizenship, end of legal rights to Americans married to immigrants and push for English only. They also want to ban immigrants or student visas. They want to jail or deport any immigrant who protest Israel or Trump. This immigration and detention of civilians has travel into the United States down at record levels. 

4. Crime is at record lows. But property theft is up. Shoplifting, the Kia/Hyundai challenge, gun violence, white collar crimes and cybertheft have occurred. But again its racial dog whistles. Many corporations are getting away with greed and theft of wages. Many Americans are tired of paying more for less product. Kia and Hyundai are still facing criticism over this Kia Boyz nonsense. Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS, Wexman are on their last legs. Walmart, Target and Kroger are closing stores in predominantly Black and Latino neighborhoods. Republicans are pushing for more mandatory sentences for theft. Democrats want to push for regulations on shrinkflation and theft of wages. Republicans oppose overtime and regulations to keep corporations from raising product prices. Trump is sending the National Guard into Portland, Chicago, New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Memphis, Baltimore and Washington, DC despite mayors denouncing this as an attempt to uphend the local police and their qualified training.

Republicans want political revenge. Trump wants to jail his rivals. He may get that wish now that he has returned to power. This is not a joke. 

Do not assume that every place has jobs. Companies are closing up shop. The tech industry, retail, trucking and press are laying off workers. The service industry is continuing to suffer due to stagnant wages, lack of achievements and work overload.

Also, housing is still down. More Americans can't afford rent or car payments.

Erika Kirk should be raising her children and advocating for gun reform. She needs to stop promoting the ignorance of her former husband.

AIPAC has poured money into many of these primaries. It openly bragged that its choices which were Democrats and Republicans beating their challengers.

House members passed a bill to define antisemitism in attempt to suppress freedom of speech. The insufferable House of Representatives in a bipartisan moment are trying to criminalize thought and dissent.

They are now trying to outlaw any criticism of Israel as hate speech which could be punishable by sanctions, divestment or allowing companies to terminate employment of anyone who dares criticizes Israel.

Let me get this straight: You are more upset over words than actions. You are upset someone using their freedom of speech to criticize a foreign country engaged in a propaganda campaign to shield itself from war crimes and impunity. You are upset over people using their voices, their wallets and their time to protest an injustice. Well, get upset over your taxpayer money aiding foreign nations. Get upset over foreign nations killing Americans in a war funded by our taxpayer money. Get upset over the deaths of thousands in Haiti, Chad, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Syria, Venezuela, Myanmar, Mexico, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine and Palestine. Mind you, our taxpayer money funds Israel more than any other country in conflicts. Get upset at your president, your senator, your representative, your governor, your state leader, your mayor and your local junk food media for bowing to the evil regime of Israel.

The Congress is by far the most laziest workers in the United States. They work far less than most Americans. It is infuriating that the average worker works more 40 hours a week while House members and Senators work on average of 25 hours a week.

Most of the lawmakers are relics of the 20th Century. They will never retire or do anything meaningful. All they do is line their pockets with book deals, media appearances, kushy lobbying jobs and fancy parties.

Republicans see the only path to victory is basically obstruct and complain about the media, Democrats and former Republicans. They won't offer solutions or policies. All they care about is trying to keep folks angry with culture wars and distractions. Democrats want to be the big tent party but always want to pivot to the middle or develop centrist ideas to win over Republicans who will never change.

To make this clear, it doesn't matter anymore who the fucking president is. 

The status quo continues with political charades, support of Israel and endless culture war grievances.

Trump turned a stable economy into chaos. During his first term, he divided the nation. Biden has divided the nation further allowing Trump to return to put the nail in the coffin of this once respected nation.

I will hold Trump accountable for his actions.

What pisses me off is our lawmakers are calling protesters "Hamas supporters" to paint peaceful protests as an act of "terrorism." Their reactionary response to anger over America's support of Israel will lead to our standing with the world. 
With billions of dollars of aid going to Israel, you would think that American lawmakers would have our taxpayer money spent on more useful things!

Same with the Democrats. They claim they want to protect democracy but endorse a fascist government sworn to being an ethnostate on our taxpayer dime.

Monthly reminders: 

A deadly disease doesn't care about your age, race, gender, sexuality, nationality, religion, politics, economic or social standings. Domestic violence, suicide, racism, culture war inspired, politically motivated and international operative inspired are types of gun violence.

Food prices, energy prices, rent, city services and college education have risen. Companies are struggling to find workers. They are now trying to push incentives to get workers in. However, there is always a catch to working entry level jobs that make over $20 an hour. Folks must work hours that do not accommodate home and social life. It may only be part time work or temporary. Some jobs may force overtime or refuse to pay for work rendered. With unions being weaken by states, it may be an at-will company. So if you are on social media, protesting injustices, supporting controversial issues or making threats to local officials; you could lose your job.

The safety net: It's this thing that helps the middle class and lower class. The safety net prevents Americans from rioting and/or looting. The safety net stops people from shoplifting from stores to feed their families.

The safety net prevents a person from robbing you of your luxuries.

The safety net is only 10% of the federal spending. The way some people put it, 50% of the federal spending goes to food stamps and welfare. Some people believe that the safety net is making people lazy. And this is the stuff I've heard from people who think that it will never happen to them. They get their arousal over a person using an EBT card to pay for name brand items or expensive food.

With the rising food and gas prices, people are turning to food stamps, food banks and government assistance to keep themselves from landing in the homeless shelter.

Without a safety net, these people will rob and kill those who have the luxuries of having food in the refrigerator or in the pantry. They would steal fuel, water, bread and meat to keep feeding their families. And yet, these Republicans and their conservative allies are thinking the poor are the reasons for a potential economic recession.

Companies are cautious about hiring employees. Because of the Trump administration rolling back DEI and arresting undocumented workers, employers are struggling to keep employees. It puts more stress on the workers, managers and suppliers. 

With the average wages stagnant, many are not looking forward to work at jobs that pays dirt wages. Many who worked in the retail, restaurant and low end service industry are not willing to take a job for less than $10 an hour. Matter of fact, no one can survive on $15 an hour.

Republicans never get it. They just won't see the bigger picture itself. Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. They are frustrated with stagnant wages. 

They are tired of low wages for heavy workloads. They are tried of food and consumer products being expensive. 

Republicans rather continue to believe in conspiracies about people using the safety net are lazy and unemployment assistance is way to make people not go back to work.

Give them a liveable wage and maybe things might improve in the job market.

We can't always assume that folks who do not work are lazy. These troupes give Republicans the opportunity to strip away the safety net to offset their endless giveaways to the elite and wealthy.

People are literally dying from being exposed to the coronavirus, monkeypox, measles, bird flu and gun violence.

Most Americans are tired of the status quo of their jobs.

Many single parents are having trouble trying to find quality daycare or family members to watch children. On top of that, some have lost family members due to the pandemic and unforseen circumstances due to Trump’s chaotic policies. A homemaker may have lost their spouse. Some may have no choice but to watch their children or loved ones due to the aftermath of the pandemic.

Folks are still trying to rebound from medical bills, late rent payments, owing taxes and college loans.

Republicans are white nationalists without a conscience. 

Trump's presidency and Republican controlled governments are incompetent.

Their leadership has killed millions of Americans. 

Holding these lawmakers accountable is not just a pledge, but a promise. You need to learn who represents your community. Your local community member, your school board member, your mayor, your state representative, your state senator, your governor, your U.S. Representative, your U.S. Senator and the president need to be held accountable for their actions. 

We need to put pressure on Republicans and Democrats to do something to improve everyone's lives.

Keep pressure on them with Israel. 

Israel must be held accountable for war crimes and the U.S. must end its aid. 

Our taxpayer money should not help Israel any further.

Republicans have extremely unpopular ideas. They will find out the risk of supporters being turned off by their policies.

Biden, Harris and the Democratic Party failed at understanding what is more important to the country. Trump, Vance and the Republican Party have already failed at understanding.

Both parties support of Israel had made some Arab Americans, Muslim and young voters vote against them. They have cost Biden a second term and Harris a historical victory.

Trump Keeps Pouring Gas On A Fire!

Senior 47 makes it hard for people to mourn his eventual demise.

The President of the United States supported Americans being fired for expressing their opinions about the shooting of white nationalist Charlie Kirk. The president called that man a hero and a patriot.

When a critics say Rob Reiner is stabbed to death, President Donald J. Trump takes a cheap shot at the victim. Why? Because Reiner criticized Trump during his first and second term. Reiner took credit for blacklisting Trump from films.

Nick is currently in custody.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The incident likely involved a domestic dispute. I am going on the speculation that Nick got into a heated argument over his drug addiction and endless grievances. Rob threatened to kick him out or have him removed from the home. Nick decided to get a machete and stab Rob in the chest and head numerous times. As he was screaming, Michele ran in and tried to restrain the man. Nick would shove her and start stabbing her as well.

The son would soon see his two parents on the ground bleeding to death. He calls 9-1-1 and literally crash out saying he murdered his parents.

Reiner loved his children. All four of them. Even when they were struggling, Rob let them know he had their back. He often had sympathy for the poor and needy. After all, he learned the rules of the game from Norman Lear and Carroll O'Connor.

The GOP blowback came largely from swing-district members, as well as from Republicans who have previously faced Trump’s ire for speaking against his policies.

Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) — two of the four House Republicans who joined Democrats in signing a discharge petition to compel the administration to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein — pushed back against the president’s statement.

“This is a family tragedy, not about politics or political enemies,” Greene said, responding to Trump’s post.

The Reiners were found stabbed to death in their home this weekend. Their son, 32-year-old Nick Reiner, has been “booked for murder,” according to Los Angeles Police Department Chief Jim McDonnell. The younger Reiner is being held on $4 million bail

It was revoked as of tonight.

“Rob Reiner and his wife were tragically killed at the hands of their own son, who reportedly had drug addiction and other issues, and their remaining children are left in serious mourning and heartbreak,” Greene said in the statement.

“Many families deal with a family member with drug addiction and mental health issues. It’s incredibly difficult and should be met with empathy especially when it ends in murder,” she added.

Massie called Trump’s post “inappropriate and disrespectful” but said he expects his GOP colleagues to ignore the statement “because they’re afraid,” adding: “I challenge anyone to defend it.”

Reps. Mike Lawler (R-NY) and Don Bacon (R-NE) — two of the three House Republicans elected in districts that voted for former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024 — spoke out against the president’s Truth Social post.

“This statement is wrong,” Lawler wrote on X. “Regardless of one’s political views, no one should be subjected to violence, let alone at the hands of their own son. It’s a horrible tragedy that should engender sympathy and compassion from everyone in our country, period.”

Bacon reposted Lawler’s statement. He also reportedly told CNN’s Jake Tapper: “I’d expect to hear something like this from a drunk guy at a bar, not the President of the United States. Can the President be presidential?”

The blowback comes after Trump responded to news of Rob Reiner’s death by nodding to the director’s career of advocating for progressive causes and donating to Democratic candidates.

“A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform Monday morning, using a term he frequently employs to dismiss criticism from political opponents.

“He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before,” Trump continued. “May Rob and Michele rest in peace!”

Rob Reiner was an outspoken critic of the president and warned of Trump’s effect on democracy.

“Make no mistake: We have a year before this country becomes a full on autocracy and democracy completely leaves us,” he told MSNBC, now known as MS NOW, in September.

In a separate interview with The Guardian in February 2024, Reiner called Trump “a criminal” who “basically lies every minute of his life.” 

Other Republicans also condemned Trump’s words.

“A father and mother were murdered at the hands of their troubled son. We should be lifting the family up in prayer, not making this about politics,” said Rep. Stephanie Bice (R-OK), who represents a solidly Republican district.

Trump’s former lawyer Jenna Ellis, who played a key role in Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, condemned Trump’s post, writing on X, “This is NOT the appropriate response.”

“The Right uniformly condemned political and celebratory responses to Charlie Kirk’s death,” she continued. “This is a horrible example from Trump (and surprising considering the two attempts on his own life) and should be condemned by everyone with any decency.”

Prominent right-wing journalist Laura Loomer, however, came to Trump’s defense.

“Psychosis is a real thing. Rob Reiner had a level of TDS that likely exuded a level of craziness around those he spent time with,” Loomer wrote on X.

“Many people who have crazy kids have psychiatric issues themselves,” she continued, saying celebrity children often become “total dead beat losers because many were raised to have no accountability by parents who subscribe to hardcore liberalism.”

“Trump is right. Reiner himself sounded insane when he would speak. Imagine how crazy his own kid was… on drugs. We have a mental health crisis in America,” Loomer said.

The predator returns to the Los Angeles rehab after he allegedly smoked a hard fetty.

He claimed it was a bad line but it's a mixture of cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Dick, who was adamantly opposed to the idea of seeking help on Thursday, credited his former “Celebrity Rehab” co-star Jenny Gimenez for changing his mind.

“Jenny Gimenez is my sister who saved me with Tim [Ryan],” he said, referencing Gimenez’s husband. The couple is sober.

Gimenez and Ryan told the outlet that Dick’s enrollment is on a “full ride scholarship offer,” meaning he won’t be footing the bill for this stay thanks to their connections with the rehab.

A rep for the comedian did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

On Tuesday, the actor was spotted slumped outside on the cement stairs of a building in Hollywood after he suffered an apparent overdose on crack cocaine.

In a video published by TMZ, Dick was seen lying flat on the concrete as several bystanders surrounded him and attempted to save his life.

Some people on the scene were seen calling the police. Another bystander was then seen grabbing Narcan, a life-saving medication that quickly reverses opioid overdoses, and giving Dick the shot.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department told the outlet that they arrived on the scene after they responded to a call about an overdose involving a 59-year-old male. Though, he was not taken to a hospital.

Shortly after the incident, Dick confirmed he was “110 percent” fine as he revealed that the whole ordeal resulted from him smoking crack with a random man on the street.

“There was a guy that was my age on the sidewalk and I felt for him, he had kids and he was depressed and he was on the sidewalk,” Dick said.

“And then he whipped out — sorry, but crack — and I’m like, you know what? I might need a little bit of that.”

The “Newsradio” alum has struggled with drug and sex addiction over the years.

He had infamously groped Pamela Anderson, Ivanka Trump and Courtney Love. An incident where he groped a 17 year old girl and an Uber driver led to him being registered as a sexual predator.

Rob Reiner And Michele Singer Reiner Passed Away!

Rob Reiner and wife Michele found dead in home. Los Angeles Police Department investigate. Prominent film director best known for TV and movies.

Shocking death of a famed actor, director and progressive activist. It appears that he and his wife were found deceased in their home in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California.

The official could not publicly discuss details of the investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. Rob Reiner and wife Michele were stabbed to death by their son.

The Los Angeles Fire Department says it responded to a medical aid request Sunday afternoon and found a 78-year-old man and 68-year-old woman dead inside.

Reiner was long one of the most prolific directors in Hollywood, and his work includes some of the most memorable movies of the 1980s and ’90s, including “This is Spinal Tap,” “When Harry Met Sally,” “Misery” and “The Princess Bride.”

His role as Meathead in the 1970s TV classic “All in the Family” alongside Carol O’Connor’s Archie Bunker catapulted him to fame.

He turned 78 in March, although authorities have not confirmed the identies of the people found dead in Reiner's home.

Messages to his representatives were not immediately returned Sunday night.

Reiner is married to producer Michele Singer Reiner, 68, and they share three children. He also adopted a child from his first marriage to ex-wife Penny Marshall.

Reiner married actress/director Penny Marshall in 1971. He adopted Marshall's daughter, actress Tracy Reiner (A League of Their Own), from a previous marriage to Michael Henry. Reiner and Marshall divorced in 1981.

Reiner was introduced to his future wife, photographer Michele Singer, while directing When Harry Met Sally. The meeting not only resulted in his decision to change the ending of that film, but he also married Singer in 1989. They have three children, Jake (born 1991), Nick (born 1993), and Romy (born 1997).

In 1997, Reiner and Singer founded the I Am Your Child Foundation, and in 2004, they founded Parents' Action for Children, a non-profit organization with a dual purpose: 1) to raise awareness of the importance of a child's early years by producing and distributing celebrity-hosted educational videos for parents, and 2) to advance public policy through parental education and advocacy.

Reiner has stated that his childhood home was not observantly Jewish, although he did have a bar mitzvah ceremony; Reiner's father Carl acknowledged that he himself had become atheistic as the Holocaust progressed. Reiner later said that while he rejected organized religionl, he was sympathetic to the ideas of Buddhism.

Australian man stopped a man from continuing a mass shooting in Bondi Beach, New South Wales.

They are going to make people condemn the actions of a few.

They will never hold themselves accountable for their own actions. It only happens 1 out 100 times. Australia has some stern firearm regulations. People are still allowed to own them but they have strict rules when using them.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese was notified of the shooting in Bondi Beach, New South Wales. The community is located approximately 10 miles from downtown Sydney.

The shooter likely targeted individuals who were celebrating Hanukkah. What the junk food media does not tell you is those individuals were likely promoting settler colonialization in the West Bank and Gaza. Zionists often promote settler communities in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Australia and Russia. They are controversial because it openly expel Palestinians from their homes and allow foreign settlers to occupy it.

Twelve people were killed, including one of the two shooters, with the alleged second shooter in custody. At least 29 were injured, including at least two police officers. The New South Wales Police Force responded to the incident and police later found and removed a suspected improvised explosive device from a car belonging to one of the shooters. Authorities declared it a terrorist attack, and numerous world leaders and news outlets described it as antisemitic. Prime Minister Albanese said it was a deliberate attack on Jewish people during Hanukkah.

The suspects motives are not determined but hey let's call it terrorism and antisemitism.

It is the second-deadliest mass shooting in Australia, behind the 1996 Port Arthur massacre and the deadliest terror incident in Australia. Was the Port Arthur incident antisemitism too?

I am not dismissing this. I am just understanding why mass shootings occur in the United States aren't called terrorism. I am wondering why it specifically has to be antisemitism instead of a random attack.

I mean the mass shooting at Brown University in Rhode Island got major coverage but quickly sidelined for this because it had a religious group allegedly targeted. 

And why is no one talking about how Israel violating the ceasefires in Lebanon, Gaza and Syria?

Australia had experienced an increase in attacks on Jewish communities and individuals since October 2023. The shooting occurred shortly after Australia accused the government of Iran of orchestrating attacks in its territory, including the 2024 Melbourne synagogue attack, and expelled the Iranian ambassador.

The incident took place during the first night of Hanukkah, when an annual Chabad community event ("Chanukah by the Sea") was scheduled nearby.

Initial videos of the incident showed two men dressed in black firing upon crowds, reportedly with pump action shotguns and a bolt action rifle fitted with a red dot sight.

Emergency services were first called to the scene at 6:47pm. New South Wales Police released a statement at 6:57pm confirming an incident was being responded to, and urging the public to avoid the area.

The BBC later verified a nearly continuous 11-minute video, filmed from approximately 50 meters away, that begins shortly after the incident and captures the first police officer stepping onto the pedestrian bridge as well as wounded individuals from the Hanukkah on the Beach event being treated.

One of the shooters, while aiming down his sights and firing, was disarmed by a male bystander, later identified as a local fruit-shop owner. He tackled the shooter from behind and managed to seize the weapon from him, and then aimed it back at the shooter. The shooter retreated to a bridge where the other gunman was positioned. A police officer then arrived and opened fire on the gunmen from behind.

In the hours following the attack, police reported that improvised explosive devices inside a car on Campbell Parade, the main road running parallel to Bondi Beach, had been removed by the New South Wales bomb squad.

Photographs from the scene showed two men dressed in black standing on a bridge. New South Wales Police engaged the pair, killing one gunman at the scene while the other was shot and taken into custody in critical condition. According to New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon, the shooters were a father and son, aged 50 and 24, respectively. The father was killed at the scene. One of the alleged shooters (the son), whose home in Bonnyrigg was raided by police, was known to ASIO but had been deemed "not an immediate threat".

Following the raid on the property, a man and a woman were taken into police custody.

The suspect and those associated are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The justifications of white shooters are flawed Americans while everyone is either "the other". Instead of labeling thugs, callous killers or terrorists, we paint a picture of the shooter as a loving, caring, family oriented man. Fuck that shit! This shooter was a monster.

The person with easy access to firearms should be the only answer. Alas, the far right is hoping for this to be a person they can scapegoat as their next de jour of outrage.

The real issue is not just guns, it's white men, white women tears and white boys. They are losing their goddamn minds. Inspired by loneliness, politics, job loss, social media trends, endless perceptions of others, the lack of opportunities (besides joining the military) and the need to be ahead of everyone else is what drives these fools to commit endless chaos.

White privilege also santizes the white shooters. Already we are getting details of the mass shooters. Glaring profiles of these white mass shooters to paint them as unfortunate circumstances. Ignoring the fact, these terrorists had signs of potential danger but their families thought it was just noise.

That restraining order doesn't mean much to a deranged individual. It's a trigger!

I wish things could have turned out well! But unfortunately, a shooter never abides to a court order!

How can a piece of paper protect a victim when it's not reliant on stopping the perpetrator (from causing harm)?

The real issue is gun violence. Not comedians. Not activists. Not Black men. Not immigrants. Not Muslims. Not transgender Americans. Not video games. Not movies. Not rap music. Not the left.

A man made crisis that can be solved if these incompetent politicians and media agitators stop making excuses for the continued gun violence epidemic. Prayers are just words and speeches. Instead offering words, how about policies?

I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases. 

Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.

According to the far right: White shooters are always mentally ill or lone wolves. The far right believes they should receive some sympathy for their crimes. Black shooters are unrepentant thugs and criminals who deserve lengthy time in the iron college or death. Gay and transgender shooters are active groomers who want to be pedophiles on children. Muslim shooters are terrorists who should be surveiled or deported. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants and they should be deported. According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [leftist or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the politics of the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the ridiculous "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black. Even if the evidence turns out that the shooter has alignment with conservative causes or Republicans, the far right dismisses it as a hoax or a plot to demonize the MAGA movement.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms.

There's no sickness in the head. Most mass shooters legally obtain their assault rifles without little background checks. They have likely no criminal history and they are willing to use the assault weapon in the only thing it's good for: Killing numerous lives.

Holding these lawmakers accountable is not just a pledge, but a promise. You need to learn who represents your community. Your local community member, your school board member, your mayor, your state representative, your state senator, your governor, your U.S. Representative, your U.S. Senator and the president need to be held accountable for their actions.

Republicans continue to offer extremely unpopular ideas. They will find out the risk of supporters being turned off by their policies.

Biden, Harris and the Democratic Party failed at understanding what is more important to the country. Trump, Vance and the Republican Party have already failed at understanding.

Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. You want no more qualified immunity for police officers who use deadly force when it's not justified. Let them know that deporting law abiding immigrants seeking refuge is inhumane. You want the U.S. to improve the immigration process. You want the U.S. lawmakers stop dehumanizing human beings. You want the U.S. to prove to the world its a beacon of freedom. You want our American military out of our cities, the Middle East and every fucking international conflict in the world. You want legislation to focus on lowering the cost of rent, lowering the cost of food, lowering the cost of hospital visits, improving healthcare and building relationships with other nations. Let them know that you will not tolerate a government shutdown which affects federal services for Americans in need or in support of services. Let them know that pulling out of the UN Human Rights Organization, World Health Organization and Paris Climate Accords will put the U.S. in danger when catastrophic event happen. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel and Ukraine. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-semitic or in support of terrorism because you support the freedom of Palestinians. You are tired of the propaganda being forced on your media platforms.

We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire, a weapons embargo, sanctions and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more domestic or foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists and special interest groups.
