He Just Killed Her Because He Don't Want The Attention!

Dreams die in darkness.

A popular transgender beauty influncer was murdered by her boyfriend. I am assuming either he was afraid of the backlash from bigots or he was embarrassed to be seen with someone who identifies as transgender.

Girlalala was fatally shot in Florida after she got into an argument with her boyfriend last week, according to authorities.

Girlalala, 21, whose TikTok account has nearly 300,000 followers, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a car outside a home in Lauderdale Lakes, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Monday.

She was pronounced dead shortly afterward at a nearby hospital, according to arrest documents.

Girlalala and her boyfriend of three years, Shanoyd Whyte Jr., 25, were engaged in a verbal argument Friday that turned physical while inside Whyte's vehicle, authorities said. Girlalala was then shot while she was sitting in the car, according to the release.

Whyte told deputies that the couple argued frequently and that the argument began because Girlalala pulled his hair, the arrest documents say. He said he then pulled out his firearm but declined to provide further details, the documents say.

After Girlalala was shot, Whyte called 911, the arrest records say.

Whyte was arrested on the spot and charged with first-degree murder with a firearm, authorities said. A firearm was collected at the scene.

It is unclear whether Whyte has an attorney.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Motives.
Former Bethune-Cookman University linebacker charged in Girlalala's death.

The shooter thought his girlfriend was a woman.

The shooter thought he being tormented for being gay when he actually isn't.

The shooter thought he was attacked by the person.

These are the justifications of bigoted shooters. Instead of labeling thugs, callous killers or terrorists, we paint a picture of the shooter as a loving, caring, family oriented man. Fuck that shit! This shooter was a monster.

Are you getting tired of this?

The status quo politics of "can't do nothing" or "now is not the time."

On average there are two mass shootings a day now. It never stops.

Uh oh. Better see if the far right preparing to make this shooter a leftist.

I wonder if Charlie Kirk got something to say about it?

Nevermind.

The United States is the most violent country in the world. Israel and Russia follow behind respectfully. Israel, Russia and the United States are the most hated countries in the world.

The United States is downsizing in democracy.

What is wrong with white men, white women and white boys?

It's the guns stupid!

Things to keep in mind when the blame game comes, will the suspect be:
  • White
  • Black
  • Muslim
  • Immigrant
  • Arab
  • A member of the LGBTQ community
  • A disgruntled employee
  • A former student
  • A current student
  • A so called leftist
  • A person who has conservative views
  • A person with easy access to firearm
The person with easy access to firearms should be the only answer. Alas, the far right is hoping for this to be a person they can scapegoat as their next de jour of outrage.

The real issue is not just guns, it's white men and white boys. They are losing their goddamn minds. Inspired by loneliness, politics, job loss, social media trends, endless perceptions of others, the lack of opportunities (besides joining the military) and the need to be ahead of everyone else is what drives these fools to commit endless chaos.

White privilege also santizes the white shooters. Already we are getting details of the mass shooters. Glaring profiles of these white mass shooters to paint them as unfortunate circumstances. Ignoring the fact, these terrorists had signs of potential danger but their families thought it was just noise.

That restraining order doesn't mean much to a deranged individual. It's a trigger!

I wish things could have turned out well! But unfortunately, a shooter never abides to a court order!

How can a piece of paper protect a victim when it's not reliant on stopping the perpetrator (from causing harm)?

The real issue is gun violence. Not comedians. Not activists. Not Black men. Not immigrants. Not Muslims. Not transgender Americans. Not video games. Not movies. Not rap music. Not the left.

A man made crisis that can be solved if these incompetent politicians and media agitators stop making excuses for the continued gun violence epidemic. Instead offering words, how about policies?
The game is over for Shonoyd White.

The United States is downsizing in democracy and freedom.

So I just want to say that the Second Amendment is White, period.

A bullet does not care about color. We all bleed red and so many lives are lost to gun violence and Republicans offer no solutions other than "thoughts and prayers" with a touch of "lock em up."

Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.

I dismiss this ridiculous notion that criminals are the problem, not the guns. Firearms are often obtained through legal purchases.

Again, having more security, teachers being armed and offering safe rooms are not solving the problem. The problem is lawmakers not willing to stop gun violence.

According to the far rightWhite shooters are always mentally ill or lone wolves. The far right believes they should receive some sympathy for their crimes. Black shooters are unrepentant thugs and criminals who deserve lengthy time in the iron college or death. Gay and transgender shooters are active groomers who want to be pedophiles on children. Muslim shooters are terrorists who should be surveiled or deported. Hispanic and Asian shooters are illegal immigrants and they should be deported. According to the far right, almost all white [or non-white] mass shooters are registered Democrats [leftist or some progressive activist] because they have liked or done one thing common to the politics of the left. Of course, they often share or post disinformation by using the ridiculous "Sam Hyde" meme or make bogus social media platforms with the shooter's image as a way to denounce most mass shooters being white or associated with conservative causes. The far right says a white person should "protect" themselves from thugs, terrorists or protesters. They believe the use of firearms are "justified" if they are protesting or even instigating a conflict. The far right believes if a shooter is a police officer, an active military member, a veteran or a citizen who supports conservative causes, they are considered a "heroes" and use of firearms are justified. If the shooters are teens in urban communities, the far right automatically assume the gunmen are Black. Even if the evidence turns out that the shooter has alignment with conservative causes or Republicans, the far right dismisses it as a hoax or a plot to demonize the MAGA movement.

The Republicans usually amplify white victims. Anytime a person of color kills a white victim, it is often wall-to-wall coverage on Fox, Twitter and they force it into national news. They make the case to blame Black Lives Matter, Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, Democrats, Rev. Al Sharpton and rap music for Black on whatever violence. Republican lawmakers who do not live in urban neighborhoods often troll social media to talk about gun violence or crime in Chicago, Baltimore, Milwaukee and New York City while not doing a damn thing to stop it. If a white person shoots a Black person, the shooter is given the benefit of doubt. White shooters are given glowing profiles about their perfect lives and how friends noticed something but refused to do something. When it comes to Black shooters, automatic vilification. They don't see mental illness. They see it as gang violence, allegedly fatherless homes, Democratic policies or the need for more firearms.

Trump gave us open season.

WHITE PRIVILEGE IS REAL! IT'S "SUIT AND TIE" WHITE SUPREMACY ON TELEVISION, RADIO, THE INTERNET AND AMERICAN POLICY!

FOR EVERY BAD COP, THERE WILL BE A DEAD COP!

IF THE UNITED STATES CONTINUES TO AID ISRAEL, THE WORLD WILL BOYCOTT THE U.S. AND ABANDON THE DOLLAR!

I DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET OR THE COP'S VERSION.

These murderers don't have mental illness. They are calculated and prepared. It happened to be a moment where they have the opportunity to take out lives.

There's no sickness in the head. Most mass shooters legally obtain their assault rifles without little background checks. They have likely no criminal history and they are willing to use the assault weapon in the only thing it's good for: Killing numerous lives.

Holding these lawmakers accountable is not just a pledge, but a promise. You need to learn who represents your community. Your local community member, your school board member, your mayor, your state representative, your state senator, your governor, your U.S. Representative, your U.S. Senator and the president need to be held accountable for their actions.

We need to put pressure on Republicans and Democrats to do something to improve everyone's lives.

Expect more gun violence.

Keep pressure on them with Israel.

Israel must be held accountable for war crimes and the U.S. must end its aid.

Our taxpayer money should not help Israel any further.

Republicans have extremely unpopular ideas. They will find out the risk of supporters being turned off by their policies.

Biden, Harris and the Democratic Party failed at understanding what is more important to the country. Trump, Vance and the Republican Party have already failed at understanding.

Both parties support of Israel had made some Arab Americans, Muslim and young voters vote against them. They have cost Biden a second term and Harris a historical victory.

The call center to the White House and Congress should still be the same.

The call number to the White House and U.S. Capitol is now going to be used. This is the official White House numbers 202-456-1111 and 202-456-1414. This is the Congress official phone number, 202-224-3121. Please be respectful to operators, staff members and elected leaders. Your calls are monitored by the U.S. Secret Service and U.S. Capitol Police.

Let them know that "thoughts and prayers," "hearts going to" and "good guys with guns" are no longer acceptable and you want legislation to curb gun violence. Let them know that we are tired of police officers using immunity when committing death of suspects in custody. You want no more qualified immunity for police officers who use deadly force when it's not justified. Let them know that deporting law abiding immigrants seeking refuge is inhumane. You want the U.S. to improve the immigration process. You want the U.S. lawmakers stop dehumanizing human beings. You want the U.S. to prove to the world its a beacon of freedom. You want our American military out of our cities, the Middle East and every fucking international conflict in the world. You want legislation to focus on lowering the cost of rent, lowering the cost of food, lowering the cost of hospital visits, improving healthcare and building relationships with other nations. Let them know that you will not tolerate a government shutdown which affects federal services for Americans in need or in support of services. Let them know that pulling out of the UN Human Rights Organization, World Health Organization and Paris Climate Accords will put the U.S. in danger when catastrophic event happen. Let them know that you are tired of private equity firms getting away with destroying small businesses and long established companies. Let them know that you are tired of your taxpayer money going to foreign nations like Israel and Ukraine. You are tired of hearing about "Israel having a right to..." and the bogus claims of being anti-semitic or in support of terrorism because you support the freedom of Palestinians. You are tired of the propaganda being forced on your media platforms.

We have bigger issues at home and our tax dollars should solve the housing crisis, lowering food prices, fixing roads, bridges, helping reinvest in struggling urban and rural communities. We have hospitals closing, big box retailers leaving communities and television programs dying. There are bigger issues in the country than Israel. You want an immediate ceasefire, a weapons embargo, sanctions and accountability for war crimes done by Israel. You want no more domestic or foreign influence in American elections. You also want to make sure future presidents and lawmakers avoid influence from lobbyists and special interest groups.

Shamwow Guy Runs For Congress!

Hey, can a pitchman join in the fun?

Vince Offer is running for Congress as a Zionist Republican. He is making a run in the controversial redistricting of Texas.

Born Offer Shlomi (Hebrew: עופר שלומי; born April 25, 1964) is an Israeli-American actor, pitchman, media personality and public speaker. Offer's first major work was the 1999 comedy film The Underground Comedy Movie. He appears in television commercials for his own products including "ShamWow!", an absorbent towel; the "Slap Chop", a kitchen utensil; a lint roller called the "Schticky"; a liquid cleaner called "InVinceable"; and another kitchen utensil called "Crank Chop".

Offer was arrested years ago after an altercation with a woman. The Florida police claimed the altercation was with a prostitute. She allegedly tried to bite his tongue off after he got too cozy with her.

Since Zohran Mamdani won, the Israelis went completely bonkers. They are now motivated to run agent provocateurs.

The filing, received Friday, was submitted under the name Offer Vince "ShamWow" Shlomi.

Offer told Fox News Digital in an interview Sunday that his decision to run for office was ultimately motivated by a desire to "destroy wokeism" and as a tribute to the late Charlie Kirk, whom he called the original "woke buster." He added that the "political infighting in the country" eventually inspired him to seek office and "make America happy."

The 61-year-old Israeli-American entrepreneur is aiming to unseat Congressman John Carter (R-TX), the 84-year-old incumbent who is seeking re-election in the district. Carter's turf includes the northern Austin suburbs, Temple and Fort Hood.

Offer is now one of at least five candidates aiming to compete in the primary for Texas’ 31st Congressional District – a reliably red stronghold.

MAGAland civil war. Rep. John Carter (R-TX) faces five candidates in the upcoming primary. Carter supported Trump 100%. His age and the Republicans call for America Only will be his downfall. Carter is a Zionist who backs Israel's genocide.

Offer, president and CEO of the TV marketing company Square One Entertainment, skyrocketed to pop-culture fame in the 2000s with his high-energy pitch videos that helped make the super-absorbent "ShamWow" towel a household name.

His rise to fame, however, was accompanied by several high-profile controversies – including allegations of harassment and physical altercations – before he eventually stepped out of the spotlight in recent years and reportedly worked to clean up his image.

In 2009, Offer was arrested in Miami Beach after an alleged violent altercation with a sex worker – an incident that became tabloid fodder after police photos of his face injuries surfaced.

Earlier in his career, he faced legal battles tied to his 1999 underground comedy film "The Underground Comedy Movie."

In recent years, however, Offer has kept a lower profile as he shifted back into marketing and entrepreneurship.

We elected Donald J. Trump, a totally flawed man who is the epitome of white privilege, authoritarianism, fascism and elitism.

Obviously, like Reps. Brian Mast (R-FL) and Randy Fine (R-FL) need a friend. If the president does throw his support to Offer, expect this race to become a national race on how Trump’s governance and the crimes Israel committed become an issue this Midterm.

Jellybean Johnson Passed Away!

Jellybean Johnson passed away days after his birthday.

Prince's former band group The Time was a popular group in the mid-1980s.

The Time is an American funk rock band founded in Minneapolis in 1981. They contributed to the development of the Minneapolis sound, an eclectic fusion of funk, R&B, new wave, synth-pop and dance. Led by singer-songwriter Morris Day, the band members are known for having been close associates of musician Prince, and are arguably the most successful artists who have worked with him, achieving success with singles such as "Get It Up", "The Bird", "Cool", "777-9311", "Jungle Love" and "Jerk Out".

Alexander O'Neal, Morris Day, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis and Jesse Johnson were notified of a passing. Their longtime drummer and co founding member Jellybean Johnson passed away two days after celebrating his birthday.

Garry George "Jellybean" Johnson passed away from natural causes.

Best known as the drummer in the hit R&B band the Time, Johnson was a guitarist at heart, playing in Jay Bee and the Routine, St. Paul Peterson and the Minneapolis Funk All Stars and other Twin Cities bands. He collaborated with Prince, Janet Jackson and New Edition as well as local heroes Alexander O’Neal and Mint Condition.

The Time.

A pillar of the Minneapolis music scene, Johnson collapsed Friday at his Brooklyn Park home and died at North Memorial Health Hospital. He had turned 69 on Wednesday.

“He was an absolute icon,” said Paul Peterson, who played in bands with Johnson since 1983. “He not only was an architect of the Minneapolis Sound, but he mentored young players. He went out every night to see the next generation. He didn’t want to sit on the couch. Dude played every night because he loved it. It was his lifeblood.”

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame producer/songwriter Jimmy Jam called Johnson “the ambassador of Minneapolis music because he was immersed in it in every way.”

Marty Bragg, Johnson’s partner, took him to see the “Purple Rain” musical for his birthday after dinner at the Capital Grille in downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday.

On his birthday, Johnson wrote on Facebook: “I’ve been blessed to live a life shaped by music, community, and the love of people who believed in me long before the world knew my name. When I look back, I don’t first think about the big stages or awards — I think about The Way… that little community center on the North Side of Minneapolis where a bunch of young kids picked up instruments and discovered who we were meant to be.”

The Ring Finger!

Doug Emhoff had to face criticism. No kid gloves for Usha Vance.

To be honest, their personal problems shouldn't an issue. Actions are more important than words. Personal matters of celebrities do not affect American workers or their families.

Americans should be more focused on their paychecks instead of some swinger vice president.

The Second Lady of the United States is the spouse of the Vice President of the United States.

Usha Vance is the wife of the 50th Vice President of the United States, James David Vance (nee Bowman). Vance, a former hedge fund advisor, author, media agitator and U.S. senator from Ohio became the 45th/47th President of the United States running mate in his 2024 election victory over former vice president Kamala Harris.

Vance, 39 is married to JD Vance, 41 since 2013. They have three children together. They have residences in Cincinnati, San Francisco, Washington, DC and their prior home in Virginia.

Usha is the first Asian American, first Indian American, first South Asian and one of the youngest second spouse.

Rumors at thr Naval Observatory.

Vance along with First Lady Melania Trump were at Camp Lejeune speaking to military families when the photographers in the junk food media noticed something.

Vance was spotted without her wedding band ring.

The duo was photographed on Nov. 19 walking together in North Carolina. And the second lady – the wife of Vice President JD Vance – was seen without her wedding ring, talking to the troops and to the first lady. Despite the online discourse, Vance has been pictured with and without her wedding band on numerous occasions.

By the time Friday, Nov. 21, rolled around, the split rumors surfaced on social media. Speculation about the state of the second couple's marriage intensified. But Vance, 39, is the first second lady of her kind, a reserved and hesitant public figure, more focused on motherhood than statesmanship.

Vance married Usha in 2013.

A spokeswoman for the second lady told USA TODAY in a statement Nov. 21 that Vance is "a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes." The Vances have three children: Ewan, 8, Vivek, 5, and Mirabel, 3.

Once viewed simply through the lens of their vows, Vance is among a growing bipartisan group of modern women in America who are bucking the constructs and constraints of political marriages.

Jennifer Siebel Newsom, wife of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, reimagined her role as "first partner," ditching the "lady" label due to gendered stereotypes. Michelle Obama has been outspoken during President Donald Trump's second term about the burden of being first lady. Rama Duwaji, married to New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, is an accomplished illustrator who never speaks to the press, offering statements through her artwork on Instagram.

Like Melania Trump, she rarely sits for interviews. Besides an hourlong appearance on Meghan McCain's podcast, sitting as the former "View" cohost announced her third pregnancy, Vance has skipped press stops since her husband took office.

"Interesting. Usha Vance minus wedding ring yesterday at Camp Lejeune," Democratic strategist Adam Parkhomenko said on X, incorrectly stating the day of Vance's visit. "Is JD sleeping on the couch?" the Democratic Party's official X account said.

Usha Vance skips wearing wedding ring. Why do we care?

Born and raised in San Diego, Usha Chilukuri was a child of Hindu Indian immigrants and both of her parents are educators.

The hug seen around the world.

The Vances met as students at Yale Law School, where she excelled. "She seemed some sort of genetic anomaly, a combination of every positive quality a human being should have: bright, hardworking, tall, and beautiful," her husband wrote in his 2016 memoir "Hillbilly Elegy," calling the second lady his "spirit guide."

Before President Trump picked her husband as his running mate, Vance was a lawyer at Munger, Tolles & Olson, a firm that specializes in litigation and corporate law. After Trump won the 2024 presidential election, Vance moved her family from their home in Cincinnati's East Walnut Hills neighborhood to the United States Naval Observatory, the traditional residence of the vice president's family.

During her time as second lady, Vance has still been the subject of rumors about the health of her marriage. Kennedy heir Jack Schlossberg, now running for Congress, garnered backlash after joking that he was expecting a baby with Vance.

The internet ignited in furor after Charlie Kirk's widow, Erika, hugged her husband. Vice President Vance made headlines last month for saying he hoped his wife would convert to Catholicism.

"Do I hope eventually that she is somehow moved by the same thing that I was moved in by church? Yeah, I honestly, I do wish that, because I believe in the Christian gospel, and I hope eventually my wife comes to see it the same way," JD Vance said, speaking at a Turning Point USA event at the University of Mississippi on Oct. 29.

Usha hugs Erika Kirk too.

"But if she doesn't, then God says, 'Everybody has free will,' and so that doesn't cause a problem for me. That's something you work out with your friends, with your family, with the person that you love," he added.

Then, of course, the missing ring.

There are countless reasons why somebody may choose not to wear their wedding band. They took it off to be cleaned. It felt too tight. They left it on the bathroom counter before going to bed that night. In the movies, the wife slips off her wedding ring after an argument or fight. In real life, many people just forget.

Vance is busy doing the dishes and giving the kids baths. In America, it could also just be that the second lady's ring and narrative belong to her first.

Dems, You Think We're Playing! Y'all Not Going To Win If You Continue On Like This....

Hakeem Jeffries, Katherine Clarke and Pete Aguilar are not helping their case. It is time for serious primary challenges and an upeval of establishment leadership.

The names of each lawmaker who voted with Republicans to pass a stupid resolution condemning socialism. Instead of working on  pushing legislation to deal with affordability, food prices increasing, medical debt, income inequality, gun violence, a fucking genocide the American taxpayers are funding and standing up to an authoritarian president, the Democrats once again prove they are out of touch with the base.

How the fuck are they going to win if they continue to do shit like this?

Reps. Pete Aguilar (D-CA), Gabe Amo (D-RI), Jake Auchincloss (D-MA), Ami Bera (D-CA), Sanford Bishop (D-GA), Brandon Boyle (D-PA), Nikki Budzinski (D-IL), Salud Carbajal (D-CA), Ed Case (D-HI), Kathy Castor (D-FL), Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL), Gil Cisneros (D-CA), Katherine Clark (D-MA), James Clyburn (D-SC), Herb Conaway (D-NJ), Lou Correa (D-CA), Jim Costa (D-CA), Angie Craig (D-MN), Jason Crow (D-CO), Henry Cuellar (D-TX), Don Davis (D-NC), Christopher Deluzio (D-PA), Shomari Figures (D-AL), Bill Foster (D-IL), Lois Frankel (D-FL), Laura Gillen (D-NY), Jared Golden (D-ME), Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX), Maggie Goodlander (D-NH), Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), Adam Gray (D-CA), Josh Harder (D-CA), Jim Himes (D-CT), Steven Horsford (D-NV), Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Julie Johnson (D-TX), Marcy Kaptur (D-OH), Bill Keating (D-MA), Greg Landsman (D-OH), Susie Lee (D-NV), Mike Levin (D-CA), Ted Lieu (D-CA), Stephen Lynch (D-MA), Seth Magaziner (D-RI), John Mannion (D-NY), Lucy McBath (D-GA), April McClain Delaney (D-MD), Kristen McDonald Rivet (D-MI), Gregory Meeks (D-NY), Grace Meng (D-NY), Joseph Morelle (D-NY), Kelly Morrison (D-MN), Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), Seth Moulton (D-MA), Frank Mrvan (D-IN), Donald Norcross (D-NJ), Jimmy Panetta (D-CA), Chris Pappas (D-NH), Maria Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA), Scott Peters (D-CA), Brittany Pettersen (D-CO), Nellie Pou (D-NJ), Josh Riley (D-NY), Raul Ruiz (D-CA), Pat Ryan (D-NY), Andrea Salinas (D-OR), Brad Schneider (D-IL), Hillary Scholten (D-MI), Kim Schrier (D-WA), Eric Sorenson (D-IL), Darren Soto (D-FL), Greg Stanton (D-AZ), Haley Stevens (D-MI), Marilyn Strickland (D-WA), Tom Suozzi (D-NY), Emilia Sykes (D-OH), Dina Titus (D-NV), Ritchie Torres (D-NY), Lori Trahnan (D-MA), Gabe Vasquez (D-NM), Eugene Vindman (D-VA), James Walkinshaw (D-WA), Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), George Whitesides (D-CA) and Frederica Wilson (D-FL).

You deserve to be primaried or face defeat. This is not game.

I don't care if they are Black, Latino, Asian American, LGBTQ, women or firsts...

If you are voting on distractions, you are the distraction.

No more sympathy votes. Do your job or face defeat. Lucy McBath is becoming ineffective in these times. She ran on gun reform and social justice but ended up cowtoeing to lobbyists and Zionism.

Lucy McBath, who is the mother of Jordan Davis voted with Republicans. She deserves to be primaried. She lost touch with the base. Her son died in Florida after a white man shot him over music being too loud. McBath votes to fund a genocide and war crimes. She doesn't care about the mothers and children lost to Israeli aggression. She runs on being a mother of a victim instead of being a problem solver. It is time to step aside so we can actually get real lawmakers in.

Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick is under federal indictment for misuse of federal funds. She has been under federal watch since 2023. In November 2025, Cherfilus-McCormick was indicted on seventeen counts of theft of $5 million in FEMA funds and making illegal campaign contributions. If convicted, she faces up to 53 years in federal time out.

Rtichie Torres is the most stuanchest supporter of Israel. He often has called for arrest of pro Palestinian protesters, co sponsored legislation to make criticism of Israel a criminal act of discrimination, claiming he is laser focused on his district but in reality leaving it in despair. He represents 712,000 residents in The Bronx and its one of the poorest districts in New York.

Tom Souzzi, Jared Golden, Maria Gluesenkamp Perez and Don Davis voted to open the federal government on a promise the Congress will address the Affordable Care Act subsidies expiring. Republicans vow to repeal the healthcare law even though its been over 15 years since its passing.

Souzzi, Laura Gillen, John Mannion, Gregory Meeks, Ritchie Torres and Joseph Morelle did not endorse or vote for Zohran Mandani.

Jeffries reluctantly endorsed Mamdani. The mayor-elect has shied away from calls on primary challenging the Minority Leader. He does face a serious challenge.

Mamdani, a democratic socialist, arrived in Washington, D.C., for his first meeting with President Trump, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bipartisan resolution condemning the "horrors of socialism."

There is no such thing as a progressive Zionist. Grace Meng claims to be progressive but her support for Israel and condemning socialism as evil shows how out of touch she is.

The resolution was introduced nearly a month ago, but Republicans decided to bring it to the floor for a vote Friday.

"A yes vote on this resolution should be a relatively straightforward, easy decision," Republican Arkansas Rep. French Hill said. "It simply states that Congress denounces socialism in all its forms and opposes the implementations of socialist policies in the United States of America."

It passed in a bipartisan vote of 285-98.

Among the 86 Democrats who supported the measure were 14 congressmembers from New York and New Jersey, including House Minority Leader Jeffries, who only endorsed Mamdani in the 11th hour of the mayoral race.

Other New Yorkers who also supported the measure included Rep. Ritchie Torres of the Bronx, Reps. Greg Meeks and Grace Meng of Queens, and Reps. Laura Gillen and Tom Suozzi of Long Island. Suozzi made a special point of distancing himself from Mamdani during the mayoral campaign.

The measure was also supported by Republican Staten Island Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, whose mother fled Cuba in 1959. She said her mother left Cuba to avoid what she called "the very things that our new socialist mayor in New York City says he wants."

Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick faces a federal sandwich.

Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters, of California, was among those who voted against the measure.

"I wish we were here on the House floor this morning debating solutions that would reduce grocery bills, lower housing costs, end Trump's tariffs strangling American small businesses and manufacturers, solve the Republican health care crisis, or any legislation that allows Americans to afford live through the catastrophic economic policies of Trump and the Republicans," she said.

Standing next to the president in the Oval Office after their meeting, Mamdani batted away a question about the resolution.

"I have to be honest with you, I focused very little on resolutions. Frankly, I've been focusing ... on the work at hand," he said. "I can tell you, I am someone who is a democratic socialist. I've been very open about that. And I know there might be differences about ideology, but the place of agreement is the work that needs to be done to make New York City affordable. That's what I look forward to."

My honest opinion about the Democratic Party.

They are garbage. Trash. A total colossal cluster fuck.

And they can thank former president Joe Biden, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and the Democratic National Committee. A party trying to stay popular when their policies are never delivered. A party that continues to gaslight us about the opposition being in the pockets of the elite while doing the same. The party that calls out the opposition for being racial extremists but end up being racial extremists too.

We got a lot a work to do.

Socialism, once a toxic word and a tag on almost every Democratic politician should no longer be a slur. It is time for Americans to understand that the oligarchy that led to wealth inequality is a product of capitalism. We need to equate capitalism to the rise in food prices, health costs, insurance premiums increasing and private equity firms destroying companies.

Maria Gluesenkamp Perez can't fix her way out of this. Either she can face a primary defeat or a Republican challenge defeat. It doesn't matter anymore.

Israel, Israel, Israel..... When the party support for Israel is a mere 8%, why is the Democratic Party still trying to encourage their voters to support this country?

They're on their knees giving in to Israel and its minions.

Is it possible for a new political party?

Yes.

The two party system is wearing thin. Republicans have a favorably of 34%. The Democrats have a favorably of 32%.

Both parties are not doing enough to solve America's problems.

If progressives need to divorce the Democrats, the time is now. I am not voting for the status quo.

I am going to vote for a candidate that focuses on issues that impact the growth of this flawed nation. Not distractions or words. Words do not pay the rent. They do not feed the families. They do not pay my bills. Words do not control the movement of policies.

No more slogans.

It's noise.

Folks, the Democrats must end the rules of engagement. They need to kick out the filth.

End their support of Israel, stop pandering to win votes, embrace embarrassments and stop trying to be friends with MAGAland.

Laura Gillen and Tom Suozzi are bigots. These type of Democrats bigoted towards Muslims, Arabs, Black and indigenous Americans.

Blue MAGA is a threat too. Because they are too cozy with religion, apartheid, income inequality and racism.

The Democratic Party is now conservative while the Republican Party is now fascist.

The Democrats are ignoring the progressive base.

No more happy clappy liberal.

I am sorry Stephanie Miller, Laurie Daniels Favors, Zerlina Maxwell, Reecie Colbert, Clay Cane and Thom Hartmann: we ain't winning on being positive. I think it time to go negative and embrace the right's definitions of the left.

I am not advocating for violence but I will no longer condemn it if it's done in the name of politics. I am tired of trying to push for issues that are ignored.

I will now be an independent. I will not support the Republican Party or Democratic Party any longer. I am going to stay progressive on most issues involving domestic and social issues. Show some conservative stances on finances giving that things are more expensive and the focus is more on home meals and no longer eating out.

I am no longer tolerating mass texts from Democrats. No more polls. No more we need you.

I will not worry about Biden, Trump or any future president. They will have costly mistakes and proven successes. I must accept it.

If the Democrats get their act together, maybe they might have a shot in 2026. No reference to gun violence.

D4vd Under Federal Watch!

D4VD was posing with Celeste Hernandez in this social media age.

Feds are involved in the tragic death of a 15 year old girl who was found badly decomposed inside the vehicle of R&B singer D4vd's ride.

Celeste Hernandez was a victim of either sex trafficking or sexual abuse by a person in care. The singer is being singled out as a possible suspect. He allegedly has a pedophilia issue going on. He had slept with this victim, allegedly. She was missing since 2024.

While D4vd, David Anthony Burke, has not been charged with a crime, sources told NBC Los Angeles that he has not been cooperative in the investigation. However, a spokesperson for Burke said back in September, when the body was found, that Burke was “fully cooperating with authorities.”

The remains of a 15 year old girl were found in the trunk of a Tesla belonging to Burke on Sept. 8 at an impound lot in Los Angeles.

The remains were later confirmed to be Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a girl who was reported missing from Lake Elsinore, California, in 2024.

According to police, the Tesla had been towed after being parked for several weeks and then taken to the impound lot, "so Ms. Rivas Hernandez may have been deceased for several weeks before the discovery of her body."

D4vd allegedly groomed victim.

Currently, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

The body was allegedly decapitated and thrown in the trunk.

He is not cooperating with law enforcement. He hasn't posted on social media since September which means he is lawyer-ing up and staying silent as he is facing potential criminal charges. He has postponed his U.S. and European tour.

When the LAPD and FBI retrieve the data and black box of movement, the California authorities will determine whether Hernandez's body was moved from a home, business or an associate's facility.

Universal Music Group, the parent company of Interscope Records, referred questions to an attorney for D4vd. The attorney did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Not a good look, dude.

Another body was found in a car Tuesday at a different tow yard in South Los Angeles as part of an investigation into a missing person, police said. That tow yard is near Western and Gage Avenues, around 7 miles south of Hollywood.

"At this point in the investigation there is no known connection between the two cases," police spokeswoman Jennifer Forkish said.

Another Incident Where Man Sets Woman On Fire! Trump And GOP Aims At Chicago!

The moment he sets an innocent woman on fire.

The Republicans and President Donald J. Trump will exploit this incident in Chicago to target mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker. Trump has demanded the National Guard to be on the streets of Chicago.

The federal courts have been blocking some of Trump's orders.

The graphic video isn't released yet. It will turn up on social media soon.

A mentally ill man sets a woman on fire inside a elevated train. The victim is in extreme critical condition. The suspect is being held on federal terrorism and state charges.

The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said Wednesday it has taken the suspect, Lawrence Reed, into federal custody in connection with the attack.

Reed, 50, of Chicago, has been charged with committing a terrorist attack against a mass transportation system, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois said.

"This horrific attack was not just a barbaric assault on an innocent woman riding a train, but an act of terrorism that strikes at the core of our American way of life," U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois Andrew Boutros said in a statement.

The arson attack occurred Monday night near the Clark and Lake station on a Chicago Transit Authority Blue Line train, authorities said.

CTA surveillance footage captured the attack, according to the federal criminal complaint.

The Chicago elevated subway system.

"The surveillance video is difficult to watch," Boutros said during a press briefing Wednesday, noting that the woman had been on her phone prior to the attack "minding her own business."

The footage showed Reed and the victim, who was not identified, were traveling in the same train car when, at approximately 9:24 p.m., the suspect moved from the back of the train while holding a bottle and approached the victim, who was seated with her back toward Reed in the middle of the car, according to the complaint.

"Reed then took the cap off the bottle and poured a liquid from the bottle all over the victim's head and body," the complaint stated.

The suspect allegedly tried to ignite the liquid, though the victim fought him off and ran toward the front of the train, according to the complaint. Reed then allegedly lit the bottle, dropped it, then picked up the now flaming bottle and used it to set the victim on fire, according to the complaint.

Suspect has mental illness and incel tendencies.

"Reed then ran to the front of the train car and stood watching Victim A as her body was engulfed in flames," the complaint stated.

The victim, who was almost fully engulfed in flames, tried to extinguish herself by rolling on the ground of the train car, then exited the train while still on fire when it stopped at the Clark and Lake Street Blue Line platform, according to the complaint.

Two good Samaritans helped put out the flames on the platform, according to Boutros.

Reed was observed on the footage leaving the car and walking away, according to the complaint.

Police said the victim, a 26-year-old woman, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition with severe burns. She remains hospitalized with critical injuries, prosecutors said Wednesday.

A partially melted bottle and lighter were recovered from the train car, along with suspected ignitable liquid from the victim's seat and "the burned remains of what appeared to be some of Victim A's clothing," the complaint stated.

Authorities found additional surveillance footage that showed Reed at a gas station 20 minutes prior to the attack filling a bottle at a gas pump, according to the complaint. He was wearing the same clothes as seen in the train car footage, according to the complaint.

Chicago police took Reed into custody on Tuesday, at which time he was still wearing the same clothes as seen in the footage of the attack and had "fire-related injuries to his right hand," according to the complaint.

The feds have to prove he wasn't mentally ill when he committed his crimes.

While being transported, according to the complaint, he allegedly made "repeated spontaneous and unprompted utterances, specifically yelling, 'burn b----' and 'burn alive b----.'"

Chris Amon, special agent in charge for the ATF's Chicago Field Office, said the "horrific act of violence" was unprovoked.

Boutros, the prosecutors, also disputed an initial police statement on the incident that stated that the victim and assailant had gotten into a "verbal altercation" prior to the arson attack.

"Those statements are inaccurate and false. She was on her phone," he said.

Reed is scheduled to appear in Chicago federal court on Friday for a detention hearing, at which point the government plans to detail the suspect's criminal history, Boutros said, though he didn't go into detail.

"Lawrence Reed had no business being on the streets, given that his violent criminal history and his pending criminal cases," Amon said during the press briefing. "Reed had plenty of second chances by the criminal justice system, and as a result, you have an innocent victim in the hospital fighting for her life."

If convicted, the charge is punishable by a maximum sentence of LIFE in federal time out.

The victim dies, it will be a federal DEATH card.

Mamdani And The Trump!

Mr. President, why ain't you talking all that smack?

Progressives are mounting a fierce takeover of the Democratic Party. They are tired of the status quo within the party establishment. I am tired of hearing it can't be done.

We are tired of excuses, Israel, old guard and a rigged system. We are tired of trying to work in the middle. We are tried of watching billionaires hoarde the wealth while we have enjoy the scraps. We are tired of the exploitation through the lottery, organized religion, culture wars and government overreach.

President Donald J. Trump should be the last Baby Boom president. No more presidents born between 1943 and 1969. Old minds means no improvements in the country.

Trump is the definition of white privilege, elitism and a two tier justice system.

Trump, Vice President JD Vance and our elected leaders are out of touch.

Anyway, a democratic socialist won the mayoral election in New York City. He defeated a Republican who had little backing from the president and an independent who was a Democratic former governor. That former governor was part of a legacy marred by scandal. He had the backing of the president, several prominent Democrats, the Democratic senate minority leader (abet no endorsement of the Democratic nominee), a handful of Republicans and that apartheid ethnostate.

He won and became the second youngest, first Asian American, first Uganda Indian American, first Muslim and first candidate in generation to pull over 1 million votes.

Zohran Kwame Mamdani, 34.

He had his official visit as mayor-elect with the 45th/47th President of the United States.

Cue the outrage from the conservatives, moderates, progressives and Islamophobes.

Being in a picture with a controversial figure as the president will obviously upset the people who believe Mamdani:
  • A MAGA plant. Obviously Kamala Harris supporters often assume that voters who are progressive but ended up protesting her or voting for Trump immediately justified as such.
  • A communist. Oh the scary McCarthyism about an economic system that benefits the people and take it out of the hands of private equity and corporations.
  • A terrorist because they fear he will arrest Benjamin Netanyahu, ex-IDF soliders, support of Pro Palestinian freedom and his supporters could impose threats on Jews and New York.
  • A sell out to the very voters who wanted him to abstain from politicial establishment figures like Trump.
  • A person willing to build bridges with people who disagree with him.
  • A person willing to do a photo op.
Regardless, it was a moment of civility in a time where the president is openly calling for violence against his politicial opponents.

The two met in the Oval Office Friday discussing topics around affordability and safety in New York City, appearing cordial despite trading barbs for months.

"I just want to congratulate. I think you're going to have hopefully a really great mayor and the better he does, the happier I am," Trump said. "I will say there's no difference in party. There's no difference in anything. And we're going to be helping him, to make everybody's dream come true, having a strong and very safe New York and congratulations, Mr. mayor."

Mamdani said: "It was a productive meeting focused on a place of shared admiration and love, which is New York City and the need to deliver affordability to New Yorkers."

Trump and Mamdani appeared cordial and shook hands after the roughly 25-minute closed-door talk -- and both said they agreed on a lot.

Their friendly news conference differed from the months of insults, harsh rhetoric and even threats that were lobbed at each other as Mamdani rose from an unknown state assemblyman from Queens to the leader-elect of one of the biggest cities in the world.

Trump repeatedly called Mamdani -- a self-described democratic socialist -- a "communist" as late as Thursday.

After the meeting on Friday, Trump predicted that Mamdani would be a great leader for the city and said he's going to surprise "some conservative people."

"I think this mayor could do some things that are going to be really great," the president said.

Mamdani, who in the past has called Trump a despot and a fascist and criticized his conservative policies, said, after the meeting, that he and the president were focused on ensuring the 8.5 million New York City residents could live without worrying about affording their basic needs, such as rent.

"What I really appreciate about the president is that the meeting that we had focused not on places of disagreement, which there are many, and also focused on the shared purpose that we have in serving New Yorkers," he said.

Trump and Mamdani's previous bad blood was brought up during the news conference and both leaders appeared to put their animosity behind them.

When a reporter asked Mamdani if he still considers Trump a fascist, the president stepped in with a joke before taking another question.

"That's OK, you can just say, 'Yes,'" Trump said as he patted Mamdani on the back with a laugh. "It's easier. It's easier than explaining it."

In the past, the president threatened to withhold federal funding if Mamdani was elected and to send federal agents into the city to tackle crime. Mamdani has also been critical of ICE's expanded raids and the administration's surge in deportations.

Mamdani and Trump said that crime was discussed during their meeting.

"We discussed ICE and New York City, and I spoke about how the laws that we have in New York City," Mamdani said, adding that New Yorkers have concerns about immigration enforcement as well as tackling serious crimes.

Later, Trump said of Mamdani: "He wants to see no crime. He wants to see housing being built. He wants to see rents coming down. All the things that I agree with. Now, we may disagree how we get there."

The president's approval for Mamdani's proposals went so far that he said he would feel "very comfortable" living in New York City as a billionaire.

"Yeah, I would, I really would, especially after the meeting," Trump said. "We agree on a lot more than I would have thought. I want h0im to do a great job, and we'll help him do a great job."

Mamdani's critics have expressed skepticism that his progressive proposals, such as free city buses, free child care and freezing the rent for rent-stabilized units, could actually pass.

The mayor-elect said he talked with Trump about President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal and how that benefited Americans during the Great Depression.

Trump showed Mamdani a portrait of FDR during their talk.

"One thing I also appreciated in our meeting [was] to appreciate a portrait of FDR and the incredible work that was done with the New Deal, and also in thinking about what it can look like when the federal government and New York City government work together to deliver on affordability. It can be transformative," Mamdani said.

Trump expressed gratitude for the meeting and indicated that he will work more closely with the mayor-elect in the future.

"There will be topics that we disagree on. I think we'll probably come to a conclusion and, ultimately, he'll convince me or I'll convince him," Trump said. "You know, it's for the good of New York. Ultimately, it's for the good of New York. I don't care about, affiliations or parties or anything else. I want to see if this city could be unbelievable. If he could be a spectacular success, I'd be very happy that we excel."

Told You So...

Instead of fighting for her views, she goes out like as Trump put it, a lunatic.

MTG OUT!

The controversial Republican lawmaker Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia will close the chapter of her ratchett ass legacy. The firebrand white nationalist announces she will resign from the House of Representatives on Jan. 5.

I'm sorry.

She did apologized for some of her past remarks.

Nah, she isn't getting a pass!!

And she knows she will be haunted by the words, actions, votes, adultery, slander and vile behavior as a private citizen.

Her resignation.

That puts Gov. Brian Kemp in a position where he will have issue a special election on top of a general election in 2026.  That means a Republican or Democrat must be elected to serve the remaining term. Another candidate or the victor of the special election must do another primary and general in November. If any member fails to surpass 50.8% of the vote will do a special election run off.

Crazy mess.

Greene leaving will be a feather in the cap to President Donald J. Trump, Laura Loomer, Ben Shapiro and Mark Levin. They will definitely do a victory lap.

Greene leaves knowing that her support for the president during all that chaos was a waste of her time, her resources, her family and her reputation. Now she and several Democrats are under constant threats because of Trump.

And here I thought she would impeach Trump. I guess she is calling for Democrats to return to power to impeach the president a third time.

Greene would have faced a strong primary challenger. Trust me, she won comfortably in her district. But since Trump turned off his support and openly called for her to lose, I guess Greene’s bluster about being a fighter is cap.

Greene went out like a...... well!

All the smoke she had to Laura Loomer, Sarah McBride, Michelle Obama, Kamala Harris, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Jasmine Crockett, Nancy Pelosi, Kevin McCarthy, Byron Donalds, Lauren Boebert, Nancy Mace, David Hogg, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Jon Ossoff, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Randy Fine, Stacey Plaskett, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Nick Fuentes and Mark Levin was nothing but a....

Greene is ineffective, bombastic, sadistic, bigoted, conspiracy peddling.... well Jasmine Crockett said it best!

"Bleach Blonde, Bad Built, Butch Body"

That remark made Greene upset. Since that confrontation, Greene has tried to improve her looks. With the support of Real America's Voice personality and boyfriend Brian Glenn, the controversial lawmaker has tried to girly her image.

Greene’s announcement, in a video and statement posted on X, followed a dramatic break with President Donald Trump, which she cited as playing a role in her decision to leave Congress in the middle of her third term.

Green, 51, had been a leading supporter of Trump and a prominent figure in his Make America Great Again, or MAGA, movement, while sparking controversy for promoting conspiracy theories and using extreme rhetoric.

But she recently faced harsh criticism from Trump, who called her a “traitor” and a “lunatic,” for, among other things, backing a bill to compel the Department of Justice to release investigative files about Jeffrey Epstein, the notorious sex offender.

Greene also has criticized the Republican president for what prioritizing meeting with foreign leaders at the expense of paying attention to the needs of Americans.

Trump on Nov. 14 said that he was withdrawing his support and endorsement of Greene, whom he called “Wacky” in a Truth Social post, and said that he would fully support “the right person” if they challenged her in the Republican primary next year.

In her statement on Friday night, Greene wrote, “I have too much self respect and dignity, love my family too much, and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms.”

“And in turn, be expected to defend the President against impeachment after he hatefully dumped tens of millions of dollars against me and tried to destroy me,” Greene said.

“It’s all so absurd and completely unserious,” she wrote. “I refuse to be a ‘battered wife’ hoping it all goes away and gets better.”

Greene wrote that he had “fought harder than almost any other elected Republican to elect Donald Trump and Republicans to power,” and that she had left her mother’s side as her father had brain surgery to vote against Trump’s second impeachment by the House in 2021.

She said that her voting record “has been solidly with my party and the President,” with the exceptions of “a few areas” such as her stance against H1B visa recipients replacing American jobs, U.S. involvement in foreign wars, “and demanding the release of the Epstein files.”

“Loyalty should be a two way street and we should be able to vote our conscience and represent our district’s interest because our job title is literally, ‘Representative,’” she wrote.

“Standing up for American women who were raped at 14, trafficked and used by rich powerful men, should not result in me being called a traitor and threatened by the President of the United States of America, whom I fought for.”

Greene’s resignation from her seat representing Georgia’s 14th District could set the stage for her to seek to replace Trump in the White House in the 2028 election, and possibly become the next leader of the MAGA movement once he exits political life.

But Greene’s statement conceded that her resignation could end not only her congressional career but also her role in MAGA.

“If I am cast aside by MAGA Inc and replaced by Neocons, Big Pharma, Big Tech, Military Industrial War Complex, foreign leaders, and the elite donor class that can’t even relate to real Americans, then many common Americans have been cast aside and replaced as well.”

If she is considering 2028 presidential run, she should be called out for quiting under pressure. I mean if you stand on your convictions, you need to fight. You showed weakness and its proof you can't govern even when you try actually to work.

Greene, your rambling resignation shows a little regard to irony. Greene just take your quarter and penny ass back to that gated community.

Greene, get a blog or a damn podcast. You're not gonna be missed!

Greene, once one of Trump's staunchest allies, has become unlikely critic. She’s broken with him on issues including the Obamacare subsidies at the heart of the recently ended government shutdown, foreign policy and efforts to compel the administration to release the Epstein files.

Greene, who said Trump personally inspired her to run in 2022, was first elected to office in 2020. Last year, Greene easily held onto her seat, winning more than 64% of her district’s vote.

The Lone Star Tick Make You Allergic To Beef! Texas Is Allegric To Fairness!

Greg Abbott should have fell on his head instead of his back.

The Texas state legislature passed its controversial gerrymandered U.S. congressional districts map. The map would make it easier for Republicans to win five Democratic leaning competitive seats.

A federal judge in emergency hearing in regards to the map ruled in favor of plantiffa who claimed the maps held an unfair advantage to minorities and the voters who elected them. The Federal judge appointed by President Donald J. Trump in his first term put a permanent hold on the map.

The federal judge said that Texas Republicans went against its own decision in 2021.

The decision is a major blow for Republicans, in Texas and nationally, who pushed through this unusual mid-decade redistricting at the behest of Trump. They were hoping the new map would yield control of 30 of the state’s 38 congressional districts — up from the 25 they currently hold — and help protect the narrow GOP majority in the U.S. House.

“The public perception of this case is that it’s about politics,” U.S. Judge Jeffrey Brown, a Trump appointee, wrote in the ruling striking down the new lines. “To be sure, politics played a role in drawing the 2025 Map. But it was much more than just politics. Substantial evidence shows that Texas racially gerrymandered the 2025 Map.”

Brown ordered that the 2026 congressional election “shall proceed under the map that the Texas Legislature enacted in 2021.” Attorney General Ken Paxton said in a statement that his office would ask the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse the ruling and allow the map to go into effect. But time is short: Candidates only have until Dec. 8 to file for the upcoming election.

The map cleared the GOP-controlled Legislature in August and was quickly signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott. Several advocacy groups sued over the new district lines, saying lawmakers intentionally diluted the voting power of Black and Hispanic Texans and drew racially gerrymandered maps. Over the course of a nine-day hearing in El Paso last month, they aimed to convince the judges that it was in voters’ best interest to shelve the new map until a full trial could be held.

“A federal court just stopped one of the most brazen attempts to steal our democracy that Texas has ever seen,” Texas House Minority Leader Gene Wu, D-Houston, said in a statement. “Greg Abbott and his Republican cronies tried to silence Texans’ voices to placate Donald Trump, but now have delivered him absolutely nothing.”

It was not immediately clear if the state still has a legal path to restoring the new map in time for 2026. Unlike most federal lawsuits, which are heard by a single district judge and then appealed to a circuit court, voting rights lawsuits are initially heard by two district judges and one circuit judge, and their ruling can only be appealed directly to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Tuesday’s 2-1 decision came from a three-judge panel that included Brown — a former Texas Supreme Court justice who once clerked for Abbott — and U.S. District Judge David Guaderrama, a Barack Obama appointee. Judge Jerry Smith, who was appointed to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals by Ronald Reagan, cast a dissenting vote and was expected to soon issue his own opinion.

But for Trump, and many of his Republican supporters in Texas, the short-term goal of having this map for the 2026 election was as important as the long game.

“I’m convinced that if Texas does not take this action, there is an extreme risk that [the] Republican majority will be lost,” Sen. Phil King, R-Weatherford, said on the floor of the state Senate before the new map passed. “If it does, the next two years after the midterm, there will be nothing but inquisitions and impeachments and humiliation for our country.”

The state had argued that the entire redistricting process was based on a partisan goal, which the U.S. Supreme Court has previously said courts cannot intervene to prevent. But the plaintiffs pointed to a letter sent from the U.S. Department of Justice directing Texas to redraw its maps to eradicate four majority non-white districts, arguing that was the original sin that cast a racially discriminatory pall over the whole process.

In Tuesday’s ruling, Brown said it was difficult to analyze the DOJ letter because it contained “so many factual, legal and typographical errors.” But the fact that state leaders had pointed to that letter repeatedly as the impetus for redistricting was enough, the judges said.

“The Governor explicitly directed the Legislature to draw a new U.S. House map to resolve DOJ’s concerns. In other words, the Governor explicitly directed the Legislature to redistrict based on race,” Brown wrote on behalf of the judges. “In press appearances, the Governor plainly and expressly disavowed any partisan objective and instead repeatedly stated that his goal was to eliminate coalition districts and create new majority-Hispanic districts.”

Abbott said in a statement that it was “absurd” to say the maps were drawn with discriminatory intent.

“The Legislature redrew our congressional maps to better reflect Texans’ conservative voting preferences – and for no other reason,” he said. “This ruling is clearly erroneous and undermines the authority the U.S. Constitution assigns to the Texas Legislature by imposing a different map by judicial edict.”

Texas will try to defy the federal court decision.

Chad Dunn, a lawyer for the plaintiffs, said he felt the state would have limited success at the high court.

“Everyone involved said they were drawing the lines on the basis of race,” he said. “I don’t see how the Supreme Court sets that aside.”

California voters pass Proposition 50 which allows the state legislature temporarily bypass the independent redistricting committee in drawing up congressional maps if another state produces a unfair map.

Tuesday’s ruling comes two weeks after California voters greenlit the state’s retaliatory map that aimed to offset Texas’ GOP gains by carving out five new Democratic congressional districts in the Golden State. California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who spearheaded the plan, traveled to Houston earlier this month for a victory lap to celebrate his state’s passage of Proposition 50, which cleared the way for the California Legislature to approve new congressional boundaries.

“Donald Trump and Greg Abbott played with fire, got burned — and democracy won,” Newsom said in a statement Tuesday. “This ruling is a win for Texas and for every American who fights for free and fair elections.”

Missouri, Indiana, New York, Ohio and Florida are pushing for unfair maps.
