Nathaniel Glover is a former rapper who was a pioneer in the gold age of hip-hop.
The Kidd Creole was a part of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five. He was a part of the golden age of hip-hop. He is 61 years old, and now he may spend the rest of his life in the iron college after he was convicted of stabbing a homeless man in 2017. His brother is Melle Mel.
He was convicted of stabbing John Jolly in 2017.
The 62-year-old rapper, whose real name is Nathaniel Glover, was convicted of first-degree manslaughter, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg, Jr., said in a statement.
The killing happened in 2017, when, prosecutors say, Glover fatally stabbed John Jolly, 55, with a steak knife after the two exchanged words.
The victim was a homeless man.
Prior to his arrest, Glover was living in Mount Hope in The Bronx. He was working as a handyman and security guard in Midtown Manhattan.
He was arrested in 1982 for firearm possession and another time in 1995. He was arrested in 2007 in possession for holding a knife.
Glover’s attorney argued that Glover acted in self-defense, The Associated Press reported. Bragg told jurors that Glover stabbed Jolly in anger because he thought Jolly was hitting on him.

The House Speaker of the United States tested positive for the coronavirus. Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) confirms that she tested positive for the coronavirus.
"After testing negative this week, Speaker Pelosi received a positive test result for COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic," Pelosi's deputy chief of staff Drew Hammill tweeted. "The Speaker is fully vaccinated and boosted, and is thankful for the robust protection the vaccine has provided."
Pelosi, the top House Democrat, is 82 years old. As speaker of the House, Pelosi is second in the line of presidential succession behind the vice president.
Hammill announced Pelosi's positive test result just before Pelosi was scheduled to have her weekly news conference with reporters. Hammill said Pelosi is currently asymptomatic. He added that Pelosi tested negative earlier this week.
Reps. Katherine Clark of Massachusetts, who also serves as assistant House Democratic leader, Joaquin Castro of Texas, Gregory Meeks of New York, Adam Schiff of California, Derek Kilmer of Washington, Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, and Scott Peters of California all announced their positive test results this week.
This is not the first time it has been reported that someone in close proximity to Pelosi has tested positive for COVID-19.

Death does happen to at least 40% of those who are affected by COVID-19.
If you're not vaccinated, your chances of death increases to 48%.

Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed by the Senate by a 53-47 vote. Only a mere three votes from Sen. Karen Romney (R-UT), Sen. Karen Collins (R-ME) and Sen. Karen Murkowski (R-AK).
Vice President Kamala Harris, the first Black woman elected to her job, presided over the vote.
The 47 racists in the Republican senate decided that voting for Jackson was voting for someone who is "soft" on crime. They ran on a dog whistle strategy to taint this qualified Black federal judge as an enabler of child abuse. A strategy that will riles me up. As a Black man, I found the attacks against Jackson as disgraceful and disrespectful.
President Joe Biden and Jackson were watching the vote count from the White House. They celebrated the victory and will hold a celebration on Friday.
The vote means Jackson will take office at the end of the court's current term — likely in June or July — when Justice Stephen Breyer is expected to step down. Her appointment would not disrupt the current 6-3 conservative balance on the Supreme Court.
"This is a wonderful day, a joyous day, an inspiring day for the Senate, for the Supreme Court and for the United States of America," Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said Thursday, calling Jackson "brilliant," "beloved," and saying she "belongs" on the Supreme Court.

American media critic and progressive agitator Eric Boehlert passed away on Wednesday night. He was a victim of a fatal train incident. He was riding his bicycle when he appeared to have collided with a commuter train in New Jersey.

Boehlert, 57, was a veteran writer and media analyst and a frequent television and radio guest discussing politics and the press on CNN and CNBC. A release from NJ Transit on Tuesday reported that a train on the Montclair Boonton Line struck and killed an adult male on a bicycle Monday evening between its 8:59 departure from Hoboken, New Jersey, and its scheduled arrival in Hackettstown, New Jersey, at 11:07 p.m.
The agency has not commented further as the incident is under investigation.

The clips were shared on social media and by the RNC showing the president looking "lost" and being ignored while Obama was greeting lawmakers and attendees. Twitter account @acyn added the missing part of the clip to highlight what the clip should have actually looked like.
Biden was asking for Obama to greet other members of his administration.
Deb Haaland, the Secretary of Interior was being helped up by the president and pointed towards Obama. Biden was looking for her to come on the stage to greet Obama.
Biden also asked Obama to meet Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-DE).
The president signed an executive order to extend coverage for the Affordable Care Act, the signature law he helped former president Obama in getting passage.
Biden honored the first Black president and first Black vice president at this event.
Vice President Kamala Harris appeared with the president and former president.
Obama will be back again for the photo revealing. The White House confirms that the 44th President will have his portrait revealed this year. Biden will honor Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama at this event.
The Obamas avoided the White House during Washed Up 45's term.

Capitol Police and animal control had to deal with a fox.
The controversial far right cable network is not the talk of DC. It is a small red fox and she was a biter.
Foxes often avoid human contact. They often prey on small animals, pets and are normally night creatures. However they are as urban as coyotes, raccoons, pigeons and squirrels. They burrow in areas close to buildings in urban settings. Foxes often look for vacant buildings or open prairies to burrow. They often avoid biting people unless cornered or someone attempts to get near its burrow.
The canine was aggressively attacking people near the U.S. Capitol. The Capitol Police and Washington, DC wild animal control caught the fox.
The animal was spotted on the grounds of the Capitol and it has been nipping at people.
It's possible that the animal had a borrow with its pups [kits] and it's just protective. Also if the animal could be rabid but that's danger to those who came in contact.
They had caught the canine. They had to euthanize the fox.
“The D.C. Public Health Lab has confirmed the fox that was captured yesterday tested positive for the rabies virus,” a statement from the city’s health agency said, advising anyone who had come into contact with the animal or its offspring to reach out to the authorities. “D.C. Health is contacting all human victims who were bitten by the fox.”
Washington health officials said earlier in the day that the fox had been euthanized so that she could be tested for rabies, eliciting an outpouring of sorrow for an animal that had become something of a mascot during its brief wanderings near the Capitol. But in an era of pandemic precautions and contact tracing, the diagnosis prompted speculation about who might have been exposed.
Rep. Ami Bera (D-CA) confirms he got bitten by the fox.
Representative Ami Bera, a California Democrat who had reported being bitten by a fox near the Capitol on Monday night and was treated soon after, said on Wednesday that he felt “healthy” and was back to work.
Ximena Bustillo, a food and agriculture policy reporter for Politico who had also been bitten on Tuesday, said she was not contacted by D.C. Health officials about the positive rabies test before the announcement became public.
It was not immediately clear what additional measures would be taken for the local fox population after the positive test. No other foxes were found on the Capitol Hill grounds, an earlier D.C. Health statement said, but it would not be uncommon to see more.
The status of other bite victims was unknown. Treatments for rabies, which can be fatal, should be started “as soon as possible after exposure,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

That's grounds for a deportation if you're not a U.S. citizen.
The Canadian media personality, singer and rapper was arrested again after he violated the protection orders against Megan Thee Stallion. The two had briefly dated until an incident in 2020. The two had got into a huge argument after leaving Kylie Jenner's home. Apparently Tory fired off a his gun and hit Megan in the foot.
Megan survived her injuries. She broke off the relationship, press charges and filed a restraining order against him. Since then, the two have dissed each other through music and social media. Megan also cut ties with former collaborator DaBaby after he appeared in a music video with Tory and took aim at the LGBTQ community.
Megan doesn't give two fucks about people's opinions of her. She knows what's right and what's wrong.
Tory Lanez was wrong.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney accuse Daystar Peterson (Tory Lanez) of violation of his protective order. He engaged in conversation with Megan Pete (Megan The Stallion). He violated two types of order. One is a "discovery protective order," and the other was is a temporary criminal restraining order.
Lanez violated the orders by addressing his ex-girlfriend directly on social media and by discussing DNA evidence, prosecutors told the judge.
He was arrested and got a $350,000 get out free card.

His attorney, Shawn Holley, said the district attorney's office asked for his bail to be revoked entirely or increased to $5 million.
"We are pleased that the court rejected those outrageous requests," Holley said.
Lanez is expected to be in court in September on one count of assault with a firearm and a carrying an unregistered firearm in a vehicle.
He pleads not guilty ot the charges.
Lanez violated her protective order when he performed at the same event she performed.
The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Rapper Goonew was gunned down in Maryland a few weeks ago. He was a victim of gun violence.
Goonew, born Markelle Morrow, was shot dead on March 18 by an unknown assailant in District Heights, Maryland, NBC Washington reported. He was 24.
So instead of having a funeral for the slain entertainer, they decided host him a nightclub in Washington, DC. They wanted to give him his final performance. So this is considered a funeral and a show.
The embalmed corpse was dressed head to toe and leaning on a black tarp. The music was playing and the bar was packed.
Totally tasteless.
But the family dismissed the critics. They said that they wanted to honor Goonew as the "King he was."
They said a funeral home released his body to the family and they decided to give him one more event that was "turnt up."

Betty Reid Soskin, 100 is retiring from the National Park Service. Soskin who is considered the country's oldest park ranger has formally retired from the service after 15 years of duty to Rosie the Riveter/World World II Home Front National Historic Park in Richmond, California.
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will honor her in the coming weeks.
"To be a part of helping to mark the place where that dramatic trajectory of my own life, combined with others of my generation, will influence the future by the footprints we've left behind has been incredible," Soskin said in the NPS's statement.
As a park ranger, Soskin led public programs with visitors and shared her own personal experiences of World War II. And she worked to highlight the untold stories of African Americans and other people of color during the war.
"Being a primary source in the sharing of that history -- my history -- and giving shape to a new national park has been exciting and fulfilling," Soskin said Soskin. "It has proven to bring meaning to my final years."
The NPS lauded Soskin's accomplishments on Instagram, writing, "We are grateful for Betty's lifelong dedication to sharing her story and wish her all the best in retirement!"
Soskin had a long path to the NPS.
She grew up in a Cajun-Creole, African-American family in Oakland, California, and worked as a file clerk at a segregated union during World War II, according to the NPS. She later founded one of the first Black-owned music stores, Reid's Records, with her husband before stints working as an office worker and political staffer.
Finally, Soskin found her calling in the parks service and sharing her stories in her 80s. She even caught the eye of the White House and was selected to introduce President Barack Obama at the White House tree-lighting ceremony in 2015.
The Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park will celebrate Soskin's retirement on April 16.
"She has used stories of her life on the Home Front, drawing meaning from those experiences in ways that make that history truly impactful for those of us living today," Naomi Torres, acting superintendent of Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park, said in the NPS statement.

Again, I am strong supporter of the LGBTQ community and have family, friends and co-workers who are a part of it. The deserve a right to be who they are. It's damn shame that folks won't see that they matter too. I mean it's only fair to say that what two people do in their love lives is their business not mine. But if you're so concerned about it, maybe you're the only one who has interest in it.
So for every homophobic person that complains about gay men holding hands, transgender girls or transgender women playing sports or transgender men joining the military, I want you to understand that you can hate all you want, but they're getting in. He has a suspended license from his previous encounters so this latest pullover would have placed him in the county lockup. The trooper gave him a break. Thanks to his privilege as a lawmaker (and white man) as well as him not being under the influence of alcohol as far he knew, he got to drive home without a care in the world.
Cawthorn's vehicle was owned in his dad's name. That means his dad will get the insurance rate hike, plus he could have his license suspended if Cawthorn fails to show up to court.
Motherfucker makes nearly $200,000 a year in salary due to the fact he is a U.S. Representative.
He had two previous encounters in less than one year. That is significant. If you got multiple violations within a year, they suspend your license. That's North Carolina's traffic laws.
His last dash camera encounter was driving 87 in a 70 mph zone. So he was on rural highway and got pulled over by a trooper. The trooper was quickly informed that the lawmaker had a firearm on him.
The other trooper didn't tell him. The lawmaker was cited for the previous encounter.
He did not get arrested for that encounter.
So in the past two years, he has five traffic citations. That's enough to have him arrested if he was driving under suspension.
Like most criminal acts, the suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. He will likely pay a fine and get points on his record. He will experience an insurance rate increase plus a dozen or so minor obstructions to getting his license back.
