The Marvelettes singer Wanda Young passed away at the age of 78.
Her daughter Meta Ventress told the New York Times that her mother passed away from complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease on December 15th in Garden City, Michigan.
It was confirmed of her passing on Saturday.
Young joined the group prior to their deal with Motown Records, and served as the group's lead singer for a time until leaving it in 1969. She went on to pursue a solo career shortly after.
Young was featured on several other notable songs, including "Beechwood 4-5789," "My Baby Must Be A Magician," "Locking Up My Heart," "Too Many Fish In The Sea," "I'll Keep Holding On," "Don't Mess with Bill," and "The Hunter Gets Captured By The Game."
But Wanda and her group's most notable hit was "Please Mr. Postman."
The Marvelettes were a breakout group in the days of Motown's rise to prominence. They paved the way for Diana Ross and her group The Supremes, Martha Reeves and the Vandellas and the Velvelettes.
Besides Wanda there was Katherine Anderson, Ann Bogan, Juanita Cowart, Gladys Horton and Georgeanna Tillman. Gladys passed away in 2011 and Georgeanna passed away in 1980.

The album was released on Friday.

The President and First Lady were answering children's questions about Santa Claus. They were letting them know about NORAD and the sleigh delivery path. During the questioning, a troll says "Let's Go Brandon" directly to the president.
The far-right are cheering on this.

The president and First Lady, Dr. Jill Biden both took calls from children at the White House when this asshole (Jared Schmeck) got on the line. The asshole wished the President and First Lady a Merry Christmas before adding the anti-Biden phrase at the end of his family’s portion of the call.
“Merry Christmas and let’s go Brandon,” the father said as he signed off.
“Let’s go Brandon, I agree,” Biden said without missing a beat.
The anti-Biden neologism emerged in October after a TV reporter mistakenly claimed a NASCAR crowd was chanting “Let’s Go Brandon” when they were actually saying “Fuck Joe Biden.”
The slogan has appeared on protest signs, in Republican congressional speeches and on merchandise sold by Washed Up 45.
So now he's been revealed and now he's complaining about how he's being silenced for just "joking."
The guy used to be a cop for Medford, Oregon and now working at a electrician company owned by his father. How quickly, the online left found him.

He soon closed up his social media and stopped interacting with local junk food media. His company and his phone soon got swamped with attacks on his character. His wife was attacked. He got death threats.
"At the end of the day, I have nothing against Mr. Biden, but I am frustrated because I think he can be doing a better job," said the asshole, who works for an electric company and was previously a Medford police officer for six years until he resigned in July 2018. "I mean no disrespect to him."

Schmeck said he’s not a "Trumper," but described himself as "free-thinking American and follower of Jesus Christ."

"And now I am being attacked for utilizing my freedom of speech," the asshole said, adding that he’s been receiving some vague but threatening phone calls since the Santa tracker call.
"I understand there is a vulgar meaning to 'Lets go Brandon,' but I’m not that simple minded, no matter how I feel about him," the 35-year-old father said Christmas morning. "He seems likes he's a cordial guy. There's no animosity or anything like that. It was merely just an innocent jest to also express my God-given right to express my frustrations in a joking manner...I love him just like I love any other brother or sister."
Asked why he resigned from Medford police on July 15, 2018, Schmeck wouldn’t say.
He went on to say he "stood 100% behind what I did and what I said."
The asshole said he and his family call into the NORAD Santa tracker every Christmas Eve. He said he wasn’t aware the call would be livestreamed.

When I get older, I will say to my grandchildren, I survived the global pandemic. We had a president who didn’t take the threat of a deadly disease seriously. We have a president who is taking it seriously only to have millions of Americans not take it seriously.
My son is biracial. I found out he existed on Dec. 7, 2016. He was born in August. I still deal with the PTSD from missing out my first child’s birth. There’s nothing worse than to find out you had a “surprise child” from a blind date.
It happens to the best and the worst of us.
Full disclosure: I am a surprise father who is coping with the frustrations of dealing with his mother, the other guy and my son being confused on who is daddy is.
While I don’t wish no ill on his mother, I still hope that when I meet the right woman, I can have a child with her and hopefully get my moment to be a father (for the first time).

The Los Angeles Police Department once again are doing damage control. Just this month it was revealed that a handful of officers were sharing racist texts and memes.
The LAPD has a history of brutal incidents.
Inside a Burlington store in Los Angeles, a 14-year old girl was shot by the LAPD. The state is investigating and there's going to be accountability for this.
The girl was inside the store as officers fired on a suspect who assaulted a woman earlier. The suspect was also killed.
The LAPD believe that the girl, identified as Valentina Orellana-Peralta was struck by a stray bullet that passed through a dressing room wall. The male was shot. His identity was not revealed.
The woman who had been assaulted was taken to a local hospital in what the officers call moderate to serious injuries to her head and face. Witnesses told local junk food media, the suspect was acting erratically and struck the woman with a bicycle lock.
Officers got to the store, which was crowded with holiday shoppers, shortly before noon on Thursday.
From what I am getting is that the suspect was only armed with a bicycle lock and the cops shot mercilessly into the suspect and into the walls. The bullets flew into a wall and struck the girl.
So basically there was no gun found on the suspect.
It's only bringing tensions between the LAPD and people of color who long complained that the department is hiring white nationalists and extremists.
Does the LAPD need serious reforms?
It never happens in your community....... Until it does! Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how this gun reform is taking away your rights. I don't want to hear that protesting against police killing people of color is hate on cops in general. I don't want to hear talk about the coronavirus being a myth. I don't want hear folks say this is not white privilege. I don't want to hear folks say masks impede their freedoms. I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. These incidents are a tragic part of American history.

While talking to the Black extremist Candace Owens, Washed Up 45 told her to that vaccines work.
As we wrap up 2021, we still are dealing with the former guy being in the news. Mind you, that January 6, 2022 will mark the first year of the U.S. Capitol attacks. The day when the former president called upon his supporters to nearly overthrow democracy.
The Republicans want us to forget that horrific day. The day where white privilege, white nationalism, conspiracy theories and right wing extremism came together to hear the former president send them to a lifetime of embarrassment, a lifetime of ridicule, a lifetime of public shaming, and a criminal record.
While some are apologetic for their actions.... Others aren't.
They continue to stroke tension... The so called "Let's Go Brandon" movement.

Washed Up 45 appeared on Owens' shitshow to discuss President Joe Biden, vaccines, woke culture and the possible run.
The former president told the extremist that he claims credit for the vaccines. He complained that Biden did not thank him enough. He said that he takes "incredible speed" of how the vaccines were developed during his time in office and his partnership with private pharmaceutical companies.
Not all the companies were with the former guy. Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson did not follow the infamous "Operation Warpspeed."
Owens and Washed Up 45 claim that under Biden we had lost over 850,000 Americans. While it may be true that nearly 1 million people are dead from the coronavirus, Republicans, Fox, Breitbart, Newsmax and OANN were not willing to get along with Biden. Talk radio has been very influential in making Americans avoid getting vaccinated.
Republicans are least likely to vaccinated.
Owens tried to make a baseless claim about vaccines and how Biden's failure to get the pandemic under control. She asked the former guy why vaccines don't work.
"I came up with a vaccine, with three vaccines," Washed Up 45 said,. "All are very, very good. Came up with three of them in less than nine months. It was supposed to take five to 12 years."
Owens then said to the former president that more people died from the coronavirus in 2021 than in 2020 even with the vaccine being administrated to the public, taking at shot at Biden.
"Yet more people have died under COVID this year," Owens said. "By the way, under Joe Biden, than under you and more people took the vaccine this year. So people are questioning how ---"

One of the most ineffective members of the House of Representatives and ally of Washed Up 45 is in the crosshairs of the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 riots and insurrection.
Rep. Karen Jordan (R-OH) is expected to not appear at the committee hearing. He along with Rep. Karen Perry (R-PA) have been the most vocal members who opposed the certification of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Jordan and Perry both have been in contact with former White House chief of Staff, Karen Meadows.
As one of Washed Up 45's top congressional allies, the House Committee will ask to voluntarily meet with the panel as it zeroes in on Republican lawmakers who may have significant knowledge of events leading up to the US Capitol attack.
Jordan previously warned the committee that targeting GOP lawmakers in any capacity would be met with political retribution if Republicans retake the House after next year's midterm elections.
Jordan was originally selected by QAnon Leader Karen McCarthy to be one of five GOP members serving on the committee back in July, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi rejected McCarthy's selection of Jordan, along with GOP Rep. Karen Banks, because she said their appointments could impact the "integrity of the investigation."
Pelosi's decision led McCarthy to pull all five of his members, which further soured the willingness between the two parties to work together, and led Pelosi to select which Republicans should serve on the panel.
The Ohio Republican is the second ally of Washed Up 45 to receive an interview request this week. Rep. Karen Perry of Pennsylvania has already declined the committee's request to voluntarily sit down with investigators -- vowing instead to continue fighting "the failures of the radical Left."
Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, who chairs the committee, says in the letter to Jordan that the panel wants to learn more about communications with Washed Up 45 on January 6.
"We understand that you had at least one and possibly multiple communications with President Trump on January 6th. We would like to discuss each such communication with you in detail," Thompson wrote.
The panel says in its letter that it has documents on file that show Washed Up 45 was watching television coverage of the January 6 attack from his private dining room next to the Oval Office and that the former president, through his legal team, was trying to delay or impede the electoral count even after the crowd had dispersed.
"And we also wish to inquire about any communications you had on January 5th or 6th with those in the Willard War Room, the Washed Up 45 legal team, White House personnel or others involved in organizing or planning the actions and strategies for January 6th," the letter states, referencing in part an election-related "command center" for Washed Up 45 allies at the Willard InterContinental hotel in Washington around January 6.
The committee proposes meeting with Jordan on January 3, January 4, or the week of January 10 when the House returns to Washington. The committee also proposes holding the interview in Jordan's district if that were easier for the congressman.
Jordan's office did not respond to CNN's request for comment. Speaking with Fox later Wednesday, the congressman said, "We're going to review the letter."
Jordan has been identified as one of the lawmakers who sent a text message to then-White House chief of staff Karen Meadows that the committee has in its possession. The message that Jordan forwarded to Meadows on January 5 outlined a legal theory that Karen R. Pence had the authority to stand in the way of the certification of the 2020 election.
A portion of that message was read by the January 6 select committee during its contempt report presentation before the full House voted to refer Meadows to the Justice Department to decide on possible criminal contempt charges.
A spokesperson for Jordan previously confirmed to CNN that he forwarded a text to Meadows on January 5 that was sent to him by Joseph Schmitz, a former Department of Defense inspector general. Schmitz's text included a draft presentation arguing that Pence had the constitutional authority to object to the certification of election results from certain states.
The interview requests to both Perry and Jordan mark a significant step in the investigation and could lead to the committee issuing subpoenas to lawmakers who refuse to cooperate voluntarily, which would dramatically escalate political tensions.
When Perry declined to speak with the committee on Tuesday, the panel condemned his actions but stopped short of saying it would issue a subpoena.
Jordan has long been seen as a target of the committee. In August, Jordan was among a group of Republican lawmakers whose phone records the committee asked various companies to preserve. At the time, Jordan warned the precedent the panel would be setting if it went after sitting members of Congress.
In its letter to Jordan, the committee references the Ohio congressman stating, "I have nothing to hide. I have been straightforward all along" in response to a question about whether he would be willing to share the information he has about the events leading up to January 6.
Seen as next in line to chair the Judiciary Committee if Republicans reclaim the House, Jordan could be in a position to go after Democrats if he feels the committee is overreaching in its requests.
Jordan has provided a megaphone to the narrative that the 2020 election was stolen.
"I don't know how you can ever convince me that Washed Up 45 didn't actually win this thing based on all the things you see," Jordan said in an interview on Fox News in December 2020.
One day before the committee released its letter, Jordan and fellow Utah Republican Sen. Karen Lee participated in a phone "briefing" for supporters of the Conservative Political Action Committee, which is led by Washed Up 45 ally Karen Schlapp, that centered around criticizing the House select committee's investigation into the January 6 riot, according to a source familiar with the call.
The invitation, sent exclusively to CPAC supporters, touted Jordan's efforts to "protect Americans from the January 6 committee's expansive subpoenas and overreach," according to a copy obtained by CNN.
