The holidays were a slump. The jobs reports were not good.

So as we are closing out President Donald J. Trump’s term as president, here comes the November jobs report. It shows a measly 245,000 jobs were added. That means the pandemic has continued to impact the job market and hampered expectations.

The U.S. economy added 245,000 jobs in November on a seasonally adjusted basis, says the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It was 224,000 fewer than economists had expected and a massive slowdown from the 610,000 jobs added in October, as the recovery is growing more sluggish.

The unemployment rate went to 6.7%, down from 6.9% in October. But the job drop occurred because more people left the job force in November. Of the people who were not counted in the labor force, 3.9 million were prevented from looking for work because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pandemic has destroyed the economy. Trump’s failure to take action has really put a major impact on the health care system, the economy and America’s moral.

Millions of Americans have continued to struggle with joblessness through no fault of their own.

President-elect Joe Biden said that he will focus on the pandemic.

The pandemic unemployment benefits from the CARES Act will expire and Congress looks likely not able to finish the job. Trump and Congress can’t compromise on how to work out a “grand deal.” Trump has not spoken to Democrats since late 2019.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has held up bills passed by the House. He has no intentions of passing legislation in the final weeks of Congress.

Republicans are now becoming deficit hawks now.

Once Joe Biden takes the presidency, the Republicans will shamelessly complain about spending and budget deficits. They will try to rewrite history and demand Democrats to concede to spending cuts.

Currently, we have over 200,000 confirmed cases daily with COVID-19. We also have over 320,000 Americans killed from the coronavirus and over 17.3 million confirmed infections.

By the end of the year, we will likely have over 400,000 Americans killed from the coronavirus.

Things that make you go hmmm....!

1. President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris have assembled their team and stated that they will immediately tackle the pandemic. Biden has also hired Dr. Anthony Fauci as the member of his coronavirus task force. He also has hired Fauci as the U.S. national medical director.

2. Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) gives the Democrats 48 members. He was sworn in by Vice President Mike Pence. The Democrats are hoping to win two difficult run-offs. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock are down by five points against Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) and Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA). The Republican senators are hoping to win their run-offs with support from Trump and Pence. The president is angry over the state certifying its results to Biden. It appears his supporters could boycott the runoff if Perdue and Loeffler fail to back Trump's ridiculous bid to overturn the results of the election.

3. Donald J. Trump becomes the third U.S. President to be impeached while in office. He is also a part of the "One-Term" club. Trump has considered running again for 2024.

4. The Senate has a bipartisan bill. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA), Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Sen. Angus King (I-ME), Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-NH), Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) rollout a COVID-19 pandemic relief package that is lower than the House passed bill. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) are supportive of it. But it's up to Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) to take up the legislation. The Senate has been the most unproductive in modern history. Even with a Republican president, the Senate has worked less on spending bills and more on confirming federal judges.

5. The U.S. has nearly 20 million confirmed cases of the coronavirus. There are over 320,000 Americans who died from the coronavirus. The disease has spread across the states and many individuals are dying from it. Trump is telling the junk food media that the "virus will go away." Trump continues to blame Barack Obama for his failure to get the ball rolling on prevention. Trump deregulations have finally taken a toll.

6. Brick and mortar stores are shuttering in suburbia. Gap, Stein Mart, Golden Corral, Pier One, Chuck E Cheese, Lord & Taylor, Men's Warehouse, J. Crew and Neiman Marcus have filed for bankruptcy. Papyrus, Modell's Sporting Goods, Pet Valu and Art Van Furniture are going out of business and plan on liquidating their businesses. JCPenney, Macy's, Forever 21, Hallmark, Jo Ann Fabrics, Kmart and Sears are on death kneel. Walgreens, Walmart, Kroger are closing stores. Walmart and Kroger are no longer operating stores on a 24-hour format. The Waffle House, a longtime restaurant establishment that never closes has over 549 locations in the country still closed due to the coronavirus. The coronavirus has changed the dynamic of operations in superstores. They are closing stores at 8:30pm, midnight and 1am to eliminate workers. Dunkin (Donuts) are closing over 800 stores in the United States. Tim Hortons is closing 400 stores in the United States. Steak 'N Shake are closing over 125 stores in the United States. McDonald's is closing 300 stores in the United States. Walgreens is closing over 200 stores.

Joe Manchin and Bill Cassidy roll out their last attempt to pass COVID-19 relief.

7. No one is seeing the results of the Job and Tax Cuts Act and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act. The Trump Tax Cuts and CARES Act hasn't really improved Americans lives. Congress squandered time. Now those in the airline, retail, luxury and hospitality industry will suffer during the holidays. Casinos, luxury cruise lines, airlines, hotels and sporting events were the most affected by the coronavirus. Now Trump is rolling out a tax holiday which is expect to take place in mid-September. For those who are willing to take it, they will get a small increase in their paychecks. However, when next year comes around, they'll end up paying for it in a wage deduction that could take over 15% of their paycheck.

8. Folks affected by COVID-19 are not working. Those who have worked a full-time job or multiple jobs are now forced off because of state order shutdowns. Some have worked one or more jobs to stay afloat. Conservatives have claimed that Americans who use the safety net are lazy. They now see the impact of Americans being laid off from their jobs (at no fault of their own). They still are trying to make the argument that folks who are now getting these checks are going to demand more. A measly $1,200 isn't going to help Americans spend. It's going to help them one time with bills and rent. They don't realize that many Americans are working more than 40 hours and are often staying longer hours or working a second job to pay rent, mortgage or vehicle expenses. Insurance rates are up due to Trump rolling back regulations, eliminating the insurance mandate of the Affordable Care Act, and private insurance companies aren't paying for natural disasters and human based disasters.

9. The U.S. is formally out of the Paris Climate Accords. In 2018, Donald J. Trump formally withdrew from the climate change agreement citing it was not being fair to the United States. It was widely condemned by world leaders. President-elect Joe Biden has signalled he will return to the Paris Climate Accords and the Iranian Nuclear Deal.

10. Tensions are rising in the Middle East. An alleged terrorist attack on Iran has now sparked a possibility of a global war between Iran, Israel, the United States, Syria and Russia. The Israeli government allegedly used the Mossad to kill a top Iranian nuclear scientist in rural Tehran. The Iranian government is losing patience with the United Nations not issuing sanctions on Israel. The country has vowed that retaliation is coming. The Trump administration is create chaos for Biden. If Israel or the United States engage in combat with Iran, it could trigger World War III.

11. Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, the European Union and Japan have temporarily banned Americans from entry.

12. Americans are struggling with paying rent on their homes. The CARES Act expired in July and many Americans are now suffering from the failure of Congress. The House of Representatives have passed their version of the CARES Act. The Republicans in the Senate have continued to stall legislation because of their stupid principles. Many Republicans continues to believe that Americans getting federal assistance are "lazy" and not willing to work. That ignorance should be an anchor on Republicans who are struggling to win their reelection bids.

13. Trump released a video on social media complaining about the election results. It was widely panned. The president did not spend any time talking about the pandemic nor the turmoil in the Middle East. Trump was making baseless claims about voter fraud and mail-in ballots. His campaign lawyers have went to state and federal court with these allegations. They were dismissed. Trump plans on campaigning again and he will make the case in Georgia. He also has threatened to boycott the Biden inauguration and plans on trolling it.

14. As of November 2020, the U.S. territory of American Samoa has little to no confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

15. The United States has confirmed that the Pfizer and Merdona have vaccines. The United Kingdom has authorized its use. The U.S. has still shaky ground to cover. The vaccine must be approved by the FDA. Former presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton have said that they will try it out to ease concerns. Biden and Harris also confirmed to taking vaccines.

Now many facilities are dealing with the fallout of the coronavirus. They are setting up face guards, they reducing facility capacities, cutting hours and making mandatory distancing at businesses.

No one can wait forever for changes. Congress is made up of old, white and well off politicians.

Food prices, energy prices, rent, city services and college education have risen. With folks not working, the fears of being thrown on the street are live and direct. Folks are struggling to make ends meet as well as landlords, mortgage brokers and those who need the money to repair facilities.

Congress will try to restart talks on how to pass the CARES Act. The Republicans in the Senate will not work with the Democrats in the House to pass an extension of the stimulus.

Trump and Republicans believe that trickle down economics (i.e. free market capitalism) is helping Americans. Really, it's making people work harder and folks are not seeing the benefits of it. So far private equity firms are buying corporations and piling on debt. These companies can't sustain the debt and are forced to declare bankruptcy and eventually liquidation. Many of our nation's largest companies and start-ups have equity firms investing in them. When the firms want their money, they're going to get their money.

America is more divided under Donald J. Trump. He has created so much chaos under his four years as President of the United States. We will now see a prolonged future of protests and uncertainly.

Trump's legacy will not be judged well.

Trumpism will not go away. As long as we keep the spotlight on Trump, the country will not get back to normal.

Burgess Owens On The GOP's Team!

Rep-elect Burgess Owens (R-UT) trolled his way to Congress. The far-right agitator beats Rep. Ben McAdams (D-UT) in a closely watched race.

A lot of carpetbaggers move to Utah to run for politics. Look at Mitt Romney!

He was a former governor of Massachusetts. He was a failed U.S. senate candidate from Massachusetts. He was a two time presidential candidate. He failed in 2008 to get the Republican nomination. He failed in 2012 when he got the nomination but lost to Barack Obama in a landslide. He decided to move to Utah after leaving one of his four homes in California.

When Orin Hatch retired, he knew that it was the only way for him to become a U.S. Senator.

Romney would end up winning and is now a U.S. senator from Utah. After years of trying for higher office, Romney finally gets his time.

Now look at the new Representative-elect Burgess Owens (R-UT). A former NFL player turned political agitator. Owens, 69 played for ten seasons with the NFL. He played for the New York Jets and Oakland (now Las Vegas) Raiders. He was a safety.

Owens said he left the NFL a “cocky liberal” but went on to become a “very humbled and appreciative conservative.”

Owens decided to run for higher office. He took on Rep. Ben McAdams (D-UT) and won. Owens called McAdams, a socialist and Marxist and ran on Trumpism.

Now he will be the second African American elected to higher office from Utah.

Rep. Ben McAdams loses to an idiot troll named Burgess Owens.

Owens is an idiot. He has no clue on how the government works nor he cares. He just wanted to “own the libs” by this win. He supports QAnon and doesn’t have the backs of Black men and women.

Owens will join Representative-elect Bryon Donalds (R-FL) in the Republican freshman class.

Don’t get me wrong, the election has nominated and elected more women and people of color this time around.

Republicans still have a long way to go. They are not the first political party to elect a person of color to be the president nor vice president. It’s the Democratic Party which still maintains over 90% of the Black vote.

The Treasure Hunts Are Over, DuckTales!

Disney ends DuckTales.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

After three great seasons, Disney is pulling the plug on DuckTales.

The series will conclude in 2021 with Season 3 being its final season.

“The talented creative team, led by Matt Youngberg and Francisco Angones, have delivered exceptional storytelling with uniquely reimagined characters for three seasons of 75 episodes and more than 15 shorts. While physical production is wrapping up, DuckTales continues to be available on Disney Channels and Disney+ around the world and fans will get an epic season finale in 2021.

The hashtag #RenewDuckTales2017 was trending on Twitter and I was wondering what that was about. I found out that the series is being cancelled by Disney. I was shocked.

It’s really a good series. I mean better than the original 1987-1991 series fans were accustomed to.

The series voice actors included: David Tennant (Scrooge McDuck), Danny Pudi (Huey), Ben Schwartz (Duey), Bobby Moynihan (Louie), Kate Micucci (Webby), Beck Bennett (Launchpad McQuack), Toks Olagundoye (Bentina Beakley), Tony Anselmo (Donald Duck) and Page Brewster (Della Duck).

Did you watch Disney's DuckTales?
Yes
No

The series had easter eggs with Darkwing Duck, Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers, Bonkers, Goof Troop, TaleSpin, Gummi Bears and numerous homages to The Disney Afternoon.

Disney already has greenlighted Darkwing Duck which is slated to premiere on Disney+ in 2021 with series order on Disney XD.

There is a pressure campaign to force Disney to rescind its decision. Could it work?

I don’t know!

Disney is notorious for abruptly cancelling shows without warning. The two things that matter for DuckTales to survive were ratings and contracts with the voice actors. If one of those things fell through like the ratings were slipping or the voice actors decided to no longer fulfill their duties due to disputes over money, it’s a wrap.

With that being said, share your thoughts. I am a nerd when it comes to cartoons and comics. I’ve watched DuckTales and I found it hilarious and very good. I’m an 80s baby and grew up watching the old school DuckTales and I literally believe the reboot is way better.

Pet Valu Put Down!

Pet Valu is going out of business.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

It appears that Donald J. Trump’s economy is not so great. The discount pet supply company Pet Valu is shutting down in the United States. The company announced in November that it will be closing all of its U.S. stores and some its Canadian stores.

Its American location in Pennsylvania announced that it will close all of its 358 locations and warehouses across the country. It began its liquidation sales and is in the process of being officially gone by January.

The pandemic fueled a pet boom across the U.S., as Americans looked for companionship during the long stays at home.

Pet Valu goes into the retail graveyard.

Again private equity destroyed companies. The Roark Capital Group owns the American stories and Markham owns Pet Valu Canada.

The Dayton area has several Pet Valu stores in the area. Some of them were once Jack’s Pets.

When Jack’s Pets was sold to Pet Valu it converted its Beavercreek headquarters to a regional hub for distribution.

The company cites the pandemic and sluggish sales as a reason to why its going out of business.

So I guess when the jobs report comes out, we’ll hear stories about jobs coming back. But that’s not the case. It’s basically a lie.

With 17 million infected with COVID-19, 320,000 Americans dead from it, the job market is really unstable right now. Some workers are being furloughed and losing hours due to restrictions by state governors.

Donald J. Trump ain’t doing shit about controlling this. He’s more focused on trying to win an election that he clearly lost.
