SCOTUS Knocks Down State COVID-19 Restrictions On Worship!

The Supreme Court rules against New York governor Andrew Cuomo's rules on worship gatherings during a global pandemic.

In the remaining weeks of Donald J. Trump’s presidency, the outgoing leader continues to deny reality. He refuses to concede to Joe Biden, the upcoming President of the United States.


The Supreme Court proves to be a worthless body of government. It ruled against the safety measures imposed by New York state governor Andrew Cuomo.


The decision of Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn v. Cuomo (2020) ruled in favor of the diocese. 


The New York governor was handed a loss. The Court ruled against the restrictions he imposed.


Cuomo was reimposing a strict attendance cap at worship services in areas hit hard by the coronavirus.


The Court’s 5-4 decision bars Cuomo from enforcing the “Cluster Initiative” against houses of worship that sued to challenge the restrictions.


The third pick for the Court appointed by Trump sided as expected with the conservative wing.


Amy Coney Barrett, who was rushed through the Senate despite having little experience in federal court sided with Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas.


Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the progressive wing’s Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor and Stephen Breyer.


Cuomo said that parts of his state are in the “red zone.” He said that under his authority as governor he had the right to limit attendance to places of worship and places where large gatherings are expected. The Court said that his limits violate the First Amendment’s protection of the free exercise of religion.


What’s religion gonna do when you’re dead? 


Science should trump religion. But since we live with folks believing in mythical creatures and magical beings who turn water into wine, I guess the Court is willing to put your life in danger for your right to sit in a place of worship.


Neil Gorsuch, another inexperienced federal judge appointed to the Court by Trump basically admitted that “religion will cure the coronavirus.”


Cuomo said that his orders are to save lives. 

“It is time -- past time -- to make plain that, while the pandemic poses many grave challenges, there is no world in which the Constitution tolerates color-coded executive edicts that reopens liquor stores and bike shops but shutter churches, synagogues and mosques. So at least according to the Governor, it may be unsafe to go to church, but it is always fine to pick up another bottle of wine, shop for a new bike, or spend the afternoon exploring your distal points and meridians,” said Gorsuch. “Who knew public health would so perfectly align with secular convenience?”


The ruling is seen as reversal from earlier actions taken during the pandemic. The justices before Coney Barrett joined sided with the states.


Roberts said that safety and a public emergency is within the governor’s right to impose.


“Numerical capacity limits of 10 and 25 people, depending on the applicable zone, do seem duly restrictive. It is not necessary, however for us to rule on that serious and difficult question at this time,” said Roberts. “The governor might reinstate the restrictions. But he also might not. And it is a significant matter to override determinations made by public health officials concerning what is necessary for public safety in the midst of a deadly pandemic. If the governor does reinstate the numerical restrictions the applicants can return to this court, and we could act quickly on their renewed applications.”


Did you know that folks going to places of worship are declining at a rapid pace? 


Christianity, the top religion in the United States is declining. People are finally coming to grips with reality. 


If there was a God, why the hell are we dealing with a pandemic that is killing over 300,000 Americans?


Americans who refuse to wear a damn mask, refuse to social distance, refuse to adhere to state emergency mandates and continue to host large gatherings are the reasons why we’re continuing this fucking pandemic.


Trump failure to take this pandemic seriously has seriously caused great harm to the health care system, the economy and its taken a toll on many American governors and mayors.

Trump Will Pardon A Turkey Named Flynn!

In the remaining weeks of Donald J. Trump’s presidency, the outgoing leader will eventually pardon controversial figures. An expected pardon will go to former National Security Adviser and former U.S. Army General Michael Flynn, Sr.


Flynn, who pled guilty to a felony count of “willfully and knowingly” making false statements to the FBI. He agreed to cooperate with the Robert Mueller Special Counsel’s Investigation into whether the Trump Presidential Campaign colluded with the Russian Federation.


Flynn lied about registering as a foreign operative. He also conducted a plot to kidnap a critic of the Turkish government living in the United States.


Who couldn't forget the infamous picture of Flynn with 2016 Green Party nominee Jill Stein sitting at the dinner table with the federation's president for life, Vladimir Putin.


Flynn who is expected to face a federal sandwich of five years in federal timeout may be commuted and pardoned by Trump.


Flynn is the only National Security Adviser to last only three weeks.

To date, Trump's record on presidential pardons has been marked by personal connections, showmanship and an aversion to going through official government channels.


Beneficiaries have won clemency by getting their requests to Trump through friends, Fox News personalities or Hollywood celebrities who talk to the President. That unusual pipeline has worked for people like Joe Arpaio, a former Arizona sheriff, Dinesh D'Souza, right-wing commentator, and Michael Milken, a financier convicted of securities fraud.


Trump has also granted pardons at the urging of Kim Kardashian West, who made her case in the Oval Office. And earlier this year, he commuted the sentence of his longtime confidant Roger Stone, whose conviction stemmed from the Mueller investigation.


Flynn's tenure at the White House lasted just a few weeks -- he resigned after getting caught in a public lie about his Russian contacts.


He pleaded guilty in late 2017 to lying to the FBI about those contacts, but later disavowed his plea and tried to get the case thrown out. In a shocking twist this spring, the Justice Department abandoned the case, which is still tied up in legal limbo.

Throughout the saga, Flynn has narrowly avoided being sentenced.


He's also become an emblem of Trump's persistent efforts to undermine the Russia investigation and a conduit for testing the separation of powers between judges and prosecutors.


The Justice Department has argued Flynn never should have been questioned by the FBI in January 2017 and put in the position where he lied.

In September, Flynn and the Justice Department returned to court for the first time in months to argue his case should be dismissed. US District Judge Emmet Sullivan, however, had previously made clear that he might consider sentencing Flynn for his lies.


In the last major hearing where Flynn appeared before Sullivan, in late 2018, the judge grew so incensed with Flynn's crime and legal approach that he questioned whether the former national security adviser could have been charged with treason. Prosecutors said no.

The far-right got a dose of reality overnight. The social media app Parler was hacked.


Those who were kicked off Twitter are now flocking to Parler. The site describes itself as a haven for “free speech.” 


Remember that actor Rickey Schroeder said that he was dumping Twitter for Parler.


I guess he and millions of far-right agitators are going to regret that decision.


Some hackers decided to expose millions of users' information in an attempt to out white nationalists.


Parler has a significant user base of Donald Trump supporters, conservatives, and right-wing extremists.Posts on the service often contain far-right content, antisemitism,and conspiracy theories like QAnon. Journalists have described Parler as an alternative to Twitter, and the service is popular among people who have been banned from mainstream social networks or oppose their moderation policies.


Parler markets itself as a "free speech" and unbiased alternative to mainstream social networks such as Twitter and Facebook. However, journalists and users have criticized the service for content policies that are more restrictive than the company portrays and sometimes more restrictive than those of its competitors.


John Matze and Jared Thomson founded Parler.

Parler had around 30 employees. The company has not disclosed the identity of its owners;
however, Dan Bongino publicly announced in June 2020 that he had purchased an "ownership
stake" of unspecified value. In November 2020, Matze wrote in a Parler post that Parler was
owned by "myself, a small group of close friends and employees", and had as investors Bongino
and Parler chief operating officer Jeffrey Wernick. The Wall Street Journal reported later that
month that Parler was also financially backed by Rebekah Mercer, an investor known for her
support of conservative individuals and organizations, including Steve Bannon, Breitbart News
and Cambridge Analytica. After the Wall Street Journal published the report, Matze confirmed in
a Parler post that the Mercers were funding Parler, and described herself as having "started Parler"
with Matze.

The Grammy Awards are going to be held in January and guess who’s coming to the stage?


The Daily Show host Trevor Noah is going to host the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.


The special is set for live broadcast on January 31st at 8pm on CBS. 


The comedian who hosted The Daily Show since 2015 will honor the 2020-21 nominees. 


“Despite the fact that I am extremely disappointed that the Grammy’s have refuse to have me sing or be nominated for best pop album, I am thrilled to be hosting this auspicious event,” said Noah. “I think as a one-time Grammy nominee, I am the best person to provide a shoulder to all the amazing artists who do not win on the night because I too know the pain of not winning the award! (This is a metaphorical shoulder. I’m not trying to catch Corona).”


The Recording Academy announced the South Afrian comedian and actor for the choice on Tuesday.


“With a knack for keeping viewers engaged and entertained, Trevor is the perfect choice to lead us through what’s sure to be an incredible evening full of music, unforgettable moments, unity and inspiration,” said Harvey Mason, Jr., Chair and Interim President/CEO of the Recording Academy.


Trevor Noah comes from the cloth of Jon Stewart. The iconic host of The Daily Show retired in 2015 and handed the show to Trevor and it’s so far been an amazing work of satire, commentary and enlightenment. 


Trevor who has been doing The Daily Show from his New York City home has been very vocal about the COVID-19 pandemic putting a hold on live taping and putting his staff on furlough. 


He said that President Donald J. Trump’s inability to stay focused on his presidential duties has made the country less safe, less healthy and more divided. He said that while Trump offers great comedy, the actions he has done are not funny and extremely dangerous.

Trevor had interviewed former president Barack Obama during his final years and stress to the former that race relations will play a major role in Trump’s presidency.


Trevor was so fucking right on that. 


The Grammys will be in January and its going to be live from Los Angeles.

Former U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said that it’s time to turn the page on Donald J. Trump’s America FIrst policies.


Mattis who was Trump’s first U.S. Defense Secretary said that the Joe Biden administration should eliminate all of Trump’s policies and bring back trust with our nation’s allies.


In January, when President Joe Biden and his national security team begin to reevaluate U.S. foreign policy, we hope they will quickly revise the national security strategy to eliminate ‘America First’ from its contents, restoring in its place the commitment to cooperative security that has served the United States so well for decades,” Mathis said.


During the years of Trump, the president had pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord, the Iranian Nuclear Deal, the World Health Organization and S.T.A.R.K. Treaty. He has also pressured allies to put money into NATO. He threatened to leave the United Nations.


Trump was considering inviting Russian president Vladimir Putin into the G-7 despite the powerful nations expelling him. 


Trump had also pressured South Korea to concede to North Korea. The North Korean government has played Trump for a fool. Trump’s memorable appearances with Kim Jong-Un never netted any peace between the U.S. and the reclusive nation. 


Trump has praised the brutal regimes like Turkey, Central African Republic, Suadi Arabia, Israel and China.


He has often clashed with foreign allies like Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan and France. 


He wasted Canada and Mexico’s time redrafting NAFTA (or known as USMCA).



It was a colossal mess of diplomacy from Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and their cronies.


Mattis, a former corny of Trump, had clashed with him over numerous things. Mathis was promptly fired and replaced with Mark Esper who was later fired in 2020.

David Dinkins Passed Away!

New York City's first Black mayor David Dinkins passed away.

The first African American mayor of the largest city in the United States had passed away.


David Dinkins, the first Black mayor of New York City passed away on Monday. The former mayor of the largest city in the United States served one term. 


Elected as a Democrat, Dinkins was trying to improve race relations between the people of color and the city’s police. At times, he would often face backlash for trying to clean up the streets of corruption.


He was vilified by the far-right agitators and the controversial New York Police Department.


In September 1992, the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association organized a rally of thousands of police officers who blocked the Brooklyn Bridge to protest police oversight proposed by Dinkins. 


Other uniformed officers jumped over police barricades to rush City Hall. Some were openly drinking, damaging cars, and physically attacking journalists from the New York Times on the scene. On-duty officers did little to control the riot.


Dinkins died on Monday at his home in Manhattan’s Upper East Side at the age of 93.


The NYPD had received a call from Dinkins’ residence about an unconscious person having difficulty breathing. 


Current mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed that the former mayor passed away from an unspecific illness.


Dinkins championed economic equality, education for people of color and an end to the Blue Wall of Silence. He said that he would be an alternative to the conservative leaning Democrat, Ed Koch. 


Koch was a tough on crime, brazenly egomaniacal and in your face.


Dinkins had resistance from the racist police unions. They would often ignore the needs of the community and it led to high crime. Then president George H.W. Bush led the country into a recession and New York City was taking a hit.


Then the rise of the National Action Network and its founder the Rev. Al Sharpton. 


Sharpton was a harsh critic of Dinkins for not taking more actions on police unions. In the wake of five high profile shootings by the NYPD, Dinkins wanted to fire the police chief at the time. It led to clashes between him and the police. Sharpton also supported Dinkins on trying to build bridges and the far-right saw that as an opportunity to tear him down.  The police union vilified Dinkins for associating with Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. 


Crime went down under Dinkins. 


But in the offset minds of the white nationalist Republican Party, a federal prosecutor named Rudolph Giuliani weaseled his way into politics. He often spoke about how Dinkins was not a friend to white residents and Jewish residents. The Crown Heights riots also divided the city.


A prominent rabbi’s motorcade hit two children and one died. It caused tension between the Black residents and the conservative Orthodox Jewish Chabad community. 


It led to a riot in the city and dropped Dinkins poll numbers massively. The riot killed a young Jewish man from Australia studying in New York. The incident led to destruction of Jewish and Asian businesses and led to many injuries on residents and the police.


Dinkins would lose to Giuliani in a nail-biter race. Giuliani became the first Republican in over 40 years to become the mayor of the largest city in New York.


Giuliani would take credit for Dinkins’ successes and often blamed him for failures under his watch.


Dinkins never once said nothing bad about his predecessor other than he’s got a long road ahead of him.


Boy was he right. Now as President Donald J. Trump’s attorney, he has embarrasses himself and the president at every turn. The former mayor is foolishly trying to overturn the results of the presidential election.


Dinkins remained in the public eye until 2019. He leaves behind two children and two grandchildren. His wife Joyce Burrow-Dinkins had passed away in October.

Ken Jennings: We Will Make Alex Proud!

Ken Jennings will take on hosting duties for Jeopardy! The legendary Alex Trebek died from pancreatic cancer.

With the loss of Alex Trebek, it’s going to be a very difficult year for the fans of Jeopardy!


The longest running syndicated game show lost the legendary host to pancreatic cancer.


What happens next? 


Who will fill the shoes that Alex left behind?


Well the show already has a list of possible hosts to replace Alex.


The interim hosts are coming to fill the shoes that Alex left.


Enter the Greatest Of All Time, Ken Jennings. The legendary contestant who won over $4 million on Jeopardy! Will be the first of several guest hosts. He will begin filming the show on November 30th. 

The shows will be in syndication and will begin in late December and head into January.


Executive producer Mike Richards said in a prepared statement that resuming production is exactly what Alex would have wanted.


“We will honor Alex’s legacy by continuing to produce the game he loved with smart contestants and challenging clues. … By bringing in familiar guest hosts for the foreseeable future, our goal is to create a sense of community and continuity for our viewers,” Richards said to The Chicago Sun-Times.


Jennings managed to defeat two legendary contestants. Jennings took on James Holzhauer and Brad Rutter.


The final tapings from Alex will last until January 4, 2021. He has recorded enough to air through Christmas.


The rotating hosts could be Jennings, Holzhauer, Rutter, Vanna White, Pat Sajak, Anderson Cooper, Ryan Seacrest and LeVar Burton.

Trump Crony Starts The Transition For Biden!

Trump crony Emily Murphy finally certifies Joe Biden's transition.

The General Services Administration official who delayed President-elect Joe Biden’s transition finally caves to pressure. The woman who deliberately held up Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), the Vice President-elect signed off the necessary funds for incoming administration.


Emily Murphy was holding up the transition because she was ordered by President Donald J. Trump to do so. Trump refuses to concede to Biden. He is running out of legal options and is pretty much out of time.


Murphy on her part was facing a hearing from the House Democrats on why she is deliberately holding up the transition.


“I have dedicated much of my adult life to public service, and I have always strive to do what is right. Please know that I came to my decision independently, based on the law and the available facts. I was never directly or indirectly pressured by any Executive Branch official --- including those who work at the White House or GSA --- with regards to substance or timing of my decision,” said Murphy in a statement.


Murphy was getting death threats from both the right and the left. Many of Trump’s staunchest supporters believe the election was “stolen” from him and they believe anyone who wants Trump to concede is either a RINO or traitor to him.


The president finally acknowledged that it's time to begin the transition. He still won't concede but acknowledges that his rival will be the next president.







Trump himself had warned Republicans that he’s not willing to back them in reelection bids if they didn’t toe the line.


The Biden-Harris Transition team released a statement thanking Murphy.


It's time to get moving. Biden said he wants to get moving on day one.

Murphy’s decision was a “needed a step to begin tackling the challenges facing our nation, including getting the pandemic under control and our economy back on track.”


“This final decision is a definitive administrative action to formally begin the transition process with federal agencies,” the Biden-Harris transition executive director, Yohannes Abraham said in a statement. “In the days ahead, transition officials will begin meeting with federal officials to discuss the pandemic response, have a full accounting of our national security interests, and gain complete understanding of the Trump administration’s efforts to hollow out government agencies.”
