A warning to white extremists who use photos of individuals without permission. You could be sued if an image of person is depicted in libel. There are websites that use pictures of individuals without their permission. If you're not a public official or entertainer, you can legally sue the person who took your images without your permission.
It's a slippery slope to how to handle libel and slander lawsuits. You have to argue that the individual's actions made the victim lose their job, caused mental distress and forced hiding from public ridicule in order to succeed in a federal case against that set individual or website.
A woman of color is getting nearly $1 million in punitive damages after she successfully sued a white extremist who created a blog that slandered her. I will not mention that blog or the other websites associated with white extremism.
Taylor Dumpson was the first Black woman to serve as American University's student government president won her lawsuit against that white extremist and his website.
Dumpson who served as the university's student body president in 2017 was award $725,000 in the case, document show.
The founder of that white extremist website who has ties to Columbus, Ohio and his lawyers were not present and the federal case went into default. The white extremist and one of his devoted readers targeted Dumpson in a relentless internet harassment campaign.
Several bananas with racist messages were found hanging from nooses the day Dumpson took office.
Authorities investigated the incident and couldn't identify the white terrorist responsible for it.
The white extremist posted an article about the incident on his website. It linked Dumpson's social media page the American University's Twitter page. Soon the troll army came to dump on the young woman and the university.
Dumpson's attorneys asked a federal judge to default the defendant and his follower.
White extremist is broke. He won't be able to pay the federal damages. However he may be forced to shut down his website.
The white extremists never showed up to court.
"The ruling should send a strong message to other white supremacists that they can and will be held accountable for hateful activity that constitutes unlawful discrimination, no matter whether it occurs online or in the real world," said Kristen Clarke, the president and executive director of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. That was the agency that represented Dumpson in this case.
So far, that white extremist had suffered setbacks. His website is struggling to find a permanent home. The white extremist was forced to pay progressive agitator and comedian Dean Obeidallah for $4.5 million in a federal decision similar to Dumpson.
The most notable controversial is Tanya Gersh. She successfully sued this white extremist after she was a victim of a relentless troll campaign. She allegedly denied Richard Spencer a place and that white extremist was upset. So he posted her phone number, social media and places she owns as a way to have his army of trolls bully her.
Gersh was rewarded $15 million in damages.
The troll has ties to Columbus, Ohio. There are spotters who are looking to find him. He claims he moved to Nigeria to live among the trees. Many see this white extremist as a 5'5" heavily built redish hair man who travels around Reynoldsburg and Kirkersville, two suburban Columbus communities.

Daniel Pantaleo fucked up in layman's terms.
An administrative judge had earlier recommended that the dirty cop should be terminated.

Pantaleo, who was on the New York Police Department for nearly 13 years was placed in the freezer soon as the departmental verdict was reached. The dirty cop was on desk duty during the four years after he was cleared of the death of Eric Garner.
Eric Garner was apparently selling loose cigarettes outside a Staten Island bodega. The dirty cop was filmed placing his arms around the neck of Garner and forcibly slammed him to the ground. The forced neck grab caused the Garner to have a heart attack.
"Had I been in officer Pantaleo's situation I may have similar mistakes," O'Neill said. "I would have wished I had released my grip before it became a chokehold."
"Every time I watch that video I say to myself .... 'to Mr. Garner, don't do it.' Comply. Officer Pantaleo, don't do it," he added. "I say that decisions made by both officer Pantaleo and Mr. Garner. But none of us can't take back our decisions."
Eric Garner would have been alive if that dirty cop didn't place his hands on him.
"I've been a cop a long time and if I was still a cop, I'd probably be mad. You're not looking out for us. It's my responsibility as police commissioner to look out for the city and certainly to look out for New York City police officers. They took this job to make a difference. You all know the city has been transformed -- had a lot of help, but it's the cops out there right now and the thousands that have come before who that continue to make this city safe."
Lynch on the other hand came out swinging. He said that the cop's firing is a morale blow to his members.
"The NYPD will remain rudderless and frozen and Commissioner O'Neill will never be able to bring it back. Now it is time for every police officer in this city to make their own choice. We are urging all New York City police officers to proceed with the utmost caution in this new reality, in which they may be deemed 'reckless' just for doing their jobs. We will uphold our oath, but we cannot and will not do so by needlessly jeopardizing our careers or personal safety."
William O'Neill had to make a decision that reflected on the morals of the NYPD.
The U.S. Justice Department declined to file federal civil rights charges against Pantaleo.
The state also declined charging the dirty cop.
There are no real winners. Justice will not be served. That cop can live his normal life with scrutiny.
People should not ever live like this.
Cops don't have a cape or shield. They wear bulletproof vests. Yet, they have a 60% chance of going home after their shifts. The most dangerous call for a police officer is a domestic violence call. The 20-year old is being held in the Mahoning County lockup on telecommunication harassment and aggravated menacing charges.
Police chief Vincent D'Egidio said the terrorist posed on social media of himself shooting off a semi-automatic rifle with sirens and screams in the background. The caption post read, "Police identified the Youngstown Jewish Family Community shooter as local white nationalist...."won't name the terrorist."
This immediately kicked off an investigation into the treats.
Police raided the home of the terrorist. They seized dozens of rounds of ammo, several semi-automatic weapons, a gas mask and bulletproof armor.
He was prepared for a massacre.
They found propaganda closely associated with white extremism.
The terrorist participated in the Charlottesville Unite The Right rally in which an Ohio white terrorist drove his vehicle into a crowd of anti-racism protesters. Heather Heyer was killed by the vehicle strike.
The charges are right now state and the terrorist could face up to 20 years in the state of Ohio. Federal charges could put him in federal time out for 40 years. The suspect is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Former NFL running back Cedric Benson passed away in Texas.
The NFL is mourning the loss of a well know football star who played for the Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bengals. Cedric Benson was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident in Austin, Texas.
Benson was the No. 4 pick in the 2005 NFL draft.
He was 36 years old.
Law enforcement reported the crash happened on Saturday night when a motorcycle hit a minivan that was pulling out onto the roadway. Benson and his passenger were both killed and two others were injured.
The motorcycle crashed into the vehicle and caught on fire.
Benson reportedly purchased a photo of his BMW motorcycle on his social media.
Benson was then a former University of Texas Longhorn who finished great with 5,540 rushing yards during his college career that ranks sixth all-time in NCAA Division I-A history and second only to Ricky Williams in team history.
Benson did have a great eight years with the NFL.
He played for the Chicago Bears, the Cincinnati Bengals and lastly the Green Bay Packers before he retired. He had suffered a Lisfranc injury to his foot.
He had some run-ins during his time. He was arrested for public intoxication and operating a vehicle under the influence. He was reportedly arrested for serving a bartender a knuckle style chili. He also had other incidents in the Austin area.

The series creator Bruce W. Smith confirms that new episodes are coming to Disney+ (A merger of ABC studios, Disney, Hulu (co-sponsor) and 20th Century Fox).

First graders found a firearm on the counter of a school office building.
The firearm was brought in by a staff member who was authorized to carry the firearm on campus as apart of the state's law for conceal carry to protect students.
Highland Local Schools in Morrow County had to ice the idiot who left the firearm in open reach.
The woman who was given freeze time without pay. This happened in March and just reached the junk food media around the time of children going back to school.
The woman, Vicky Nelson was also stripped of her privilege after this. She was trained and granted permission to bring her firearm on the school campus.
The idiot left her pistol inside an unlocked plastic case on her desk. Her grandson and another child were touching and playing with the firearm. The administrator who saw the children immediately grabbed the firearm. The school staffer confronted the idiot who was in the restroom that the children got a hold of the firearm.
The superintendent of the school was not happy.
Dan Freund said that the idiot was apologetic for the incident and literally crying. He had to ice her for that. Freund didn't call the law as required. So that got the County boys angry.
Highland School District in Morrow County, Ohio under fire for not alerting parents to a potential threat.
Sheriff John L. Hinton of Morrow County was pissed. He said that school officials make his job even harder. He said that the failure to report this could result in criminal charges.
Areas where they allow conceal carry among school officials are rising in Ohio. They believe that if they can have a handgun carrying official on campus, they can stop a mass shooter who can fire off rounds within seconds. That "good guy with a gun" could drop within seconds of trying to reach.
This is why it's important for Americans to pass gun reform. We need to keep these semi-automatic firearms out of the hands of potential terrorists. These idiots in Columbus and Washington, DC believe that a handgun can stop an AR-15 and AK-47.

Trump came to Dayton to do a photo-op with medical officials and police officers. He also met a few shooting victims and then headed off to El Paso for a second round of photo-ops.
Petition to change Fifth Avenue to Barack Obama Avenue in front of Trump Tower is picking up steam.
There's a petition to rename Fifth Avenue between 56th and 57th Street to "President Barack H. Obama Avenue."
The petition gain over 400,000 signatures. That specific part of the street is exactly where the Trump Tower is located. That is the official residence of Donald J. Trump, Obama's successor.

Bill Clinton is named on an international airport with Hillary, has a presidential library and a road in his hometown of Hope, Arkansas.

The iconic legend Peter Henry Fonda was best known for playing Wyatt in 1969's Easy Rider.
Peter Fonda, the son of Henry Fonda and the younger brother of Jane Fonda has passed away.
He was 79 years old.
Peter's family confirmed the news. He passed away of respiratory failure due to lung cancer.
"In one of the saddest moments in our lives, we are not able to find the appropriate words to express the pain in our hearts," Fonda's family said.
He won several Golden Globe Awards, including best actor for "Ulee's Gold," and was noted by the same film reviewer group for his work in "The Wild Angels," "The Trip," and "Easy Rider."
He appeared in numerous movies and television shows.
Fonda was Henry Fonda's only son.
According to KCRA, Fonda carved his own path with his nonconformist tendencies and earned Oscar nominations for co-writing "Easy Rider" and his acting role in "Ulee's Gold."
Fonda was born in New York City in 1940 and was only 10 years old when his mother Frances Ford Seymour died. Fonda had an estranged relationship with his father, but said that they grew closer over the years before his father died in 1982.
Fonda was an active supporter of the Democratic Party. He criticized Republicans and that imbecile, Donald J. Trump.
Fonda went on Twitter to criticize Trump's administration's enforcement of U.S. immigration policy by Jeff Sessions, specifically regarding the separation of children from their parents at the Mexican border, writing that "We should rip Barron Trump from the arms of First Lady Melania Trump and put him in a cage with pedophiles."
He also suggested that Americans should seek out names of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in order to protest outside of their homes and the schools of their children.
The Secret Service opened an investigation based on a report from the Trump family.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, whose daughter, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, was also the object of Fonda's tweets, believes that Fonda's statement about Barron Trump is a violation of federal criminal law.
Jane Fonda said her brother died laughing. She issued a statement on the passing of her brother.
Fonda had also suggested "Maybe we should take her (Sanders) children away..."
It was also reported by Politico that Fonda "has been railing against the White House for days". In another now-deleted tweet, Fonda targeted United States Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen by calling her an uncouth name and calling for Nielsen to be "put her in a cage and poked at by passersby ..."
Fonda stated that he deleted his tweet regarding Barron Trump, saying that he "immediately regretted it and sincerely apologize to the family for what I said and any hurt my words have caused."
Popular backlash to Fonda's tweets resulted in a call for a boycott of his newest film at the time, Boundaries and other Sony projects
Sony Pictures released Boundaries as planned on June 22, 2018, but completely condemned the comments made by Fonda.
Down but not out. John Hickenlooper decided to end his presidential bid. He might open up a senate bid.
On Thursday, former Colorado governor John Hickenlooper decided to drop out of the race. Now it leaves the door open for him to take a seat the Republicans are desperately trying to defend.
The former governor is thinking about taking on Sen. Cory Gardner (R-CO).
The seat for Colorado is LEAN REPUBLICAN.
His former competitor and fellow Coloradan, Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) is welcoming the idea of Hickenlooper deciding to run in a relatively competitive seat.
Gardner is distancing himself from Donald J. Trump and focusing his campaign on Colorado constituents in order to win reelection.
Hickenlooper dropping out this massive field of Democratic candidates from president makes the field appear to be weak. Many of them will be forced to drop their bids if they can't qualify for the third debate in late August.
Hickenlooper was being courted by Democrats as a potential senate candidate.
In a video statement announcing his departure from the presidential race, Hickenlooper said he has "heard from so many Coloradans" who want him to run for Senate. "They remind me how much is at stake ofr our country and our state. I intend to give that some serious thought," he said.
Hickenlooper was also a former mayor of Denver served two terms at the state's governor. He previously was skeptical about the senate race given that Democrats are disorganized but he decided that he may be "cut out to be a senator."
Last month, there were hints of Hickenlooper have trouble in this presidnetial campaign.
The source said that his campaign only has about 13,000 donors, making it almost impossible to qualify for the next round of presidential debates. The campaign also only raised just $1 million in the second quarter and that meant he would have ran out of money.
Five staffers have left the campaign. Hickenlooper's struggling operation, including his campaign manager, communication director, digital director and finance director bounced.
Hickenlooper's new campaign manager is considering helping him on the senate bid.
Now many Democrats are calling for Beto O'Rourke, Julian Castro, Steve Bullock and Tim Ryan to drop out and throw their chances at the senate.
So far none of the candidates took the offer.
Just in case you've haven't heard, former Alaskan senator Mike Gravel dropped out too. He is a perennial candidate who supports progressive and sometimes libertarian policies. He ended his bid a week earlier and threw endorsement to two presidential contenders. Gravel threw his support to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI).
Hickenlooper hasn't endorsed a candidate as of yet.

There is growing backlash in the city of Colorado Springs, Colorado. The law killed a 19-year old man after he fled them during a questioning. His family is demanding that the cops who shot him are held accountable for their actions.
De'Von Bailey was 19 years old at the time of his death. He was shot four times in the back after fleeing cops trying to question him and his friend in suspicion of a robbery.
On camera the officers confront Bailey and his cousin.
In the body camera footage as well as the home camera footage, you see that Bailey and his cousin Lawrence Stoker being questioned by the law. As one cop approaches Bailey, he takes off running.
As they gave chase, the cops claimed that he reached for something and they shot him directly three times in the back. He was shot once in the arm. While it's not clear what was done, the cop continuously said to him to show hands.
He landed on the ground and surrendered. The cops then handcuffed the bleeding De'Von and searched his clothes and found a gun inside his pants. Then they called for backup.
They would try to revive a moaning Bailey. By the time he made it to the hospital, he had already died.
It remains unclear on Thursday if the object was a firearm.
Police said they were on the scene to respond to a robbery threat around 6:45pm. In the bodycam footage, one officer can be heard asking Bailey if he goes by the name of "Spazz."
Bailey said, "No sir."
The bullets that hit Bailey perforated his heart, left lung and diaphragm, in addition to penetrating is spleen, triggering massive blood loss leading to his death, said the El Paso County bag 'em ups.
The family attorney is calling this a senseless murder.
"The video shows that there was no evidence to support that anybody was imminently at risk of being killed or harmed," said Darold Killmer. "The video shows that he was doing everything in his power in the six or eight or 10 steps that he could take to get away to, in fact, get away.... He did not have a weapon in his hand and had not shown any weapon when he was shot in the back."
Today is De'Von Bailey's funeral.

It burns me up to see how these trolls on the far-white react to these senseless gun tragedies.
These trolls are ignorant. They can be ignorant all they want. This is America.
This country is more polarized, less religious, less educated, less motivated, highly overweight, and bloodthirsty. We hide behind platitudes and run on narratives about who's more right than factual.
We are driven to discourse by the junk food media and social media. I cannot stop it. I am not in the business to stop it. However, I do have control over how I read things on this blog. I have semi-control over what is posted on this blog. I am not planning on changing my views on Trump no time soon.
I really believe Trump and his allies are destined for failure. With that failure, comes the aftermath. We all fail if Trump continues to reign his bigotry and Republican keep control of the U.S. Congress.
Americans could reelect Trump. After all, Republicans are ramming through laws that make it harder to vote. They are passing weak gun laws that make it possible for individuals to possess firearms to kill people of color and law enforcement. The Republicans are trying to pass laws that restrict women from have termination. But once they have a child, the Republicans want to strip the safety net so no single mother can get food and housing for their family.
Gun violence is problem. We keep hearing these idiots often tell us "we're not going to like" their remarks on gun violence. Fuck this shit. I don't need to read your bullshit. I don't care about the bullshit you write.
We will not waste our time worrying about you or those who think like you.
