Diddy loses the mother of his children. Kim Porter passed away.
Sean "Puffy" Combs' (aka Diddy/Puff Daddy) ex-girlfriend and mother of his children passed away unexpectedly. Kim Porter was 47 years old. She was the mother of Al B Sure!'s and Combs' children.
Her death hit the Bad Boy CEO really hard. The mother of his children is gone. He faced the same blow when Biggie Smalls was gunned down. Only this one hit close to home.
Porter was mother to Christian Combs and twin daughters D'Lila Star and Jessie James Combs.
Porter was mother to Quincy Brown from her brief marriage to R&B singer Al B Sure!.
Brown is an actor and singer known for his Fox hit drama Star. Brown is the adoptive son of Combs.
Combs also has his son Justin and Chance from previous relationships.
Apparently she was fighting a bout of pneumonia. There were also reports of her going into cardiac arrest.
Porter, who dated rapper Diddy for 13 years and is the mother of three of his kids, died on Thursday at her Toluca Lake, CA, home, a source close to Porter confirmed to Variety.
Diddy with Justin, Christian, Quincy, Chance, D'Lila and Jessie. Justin Combs and Quincy Brown are actors.
TMZ, which first reported the news, said Porter went into cardiac arrest on Thursday at noon after suffering from pneumonia for several weeks, though her official cause of death has not yet been revealed.
Diddy and Porter began dating in 1994 and were on and off until their final breakup in 2007.
"Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time," Combs' rep, Cindi Berger, told Variety.
Former Marine vet Jared Golden secures a spot in the House of Representatives. He will be one of the many Democrats who blew out Republicans in the Midterms.
Welcome to Congress Jared Golden.
The 2nd Congressional District was occupied by Rep. Bruce Poliquin (R-ME).
Polishing was the last Republican House member left in New England. He was defeated the Democratic challenger who is a former Marine vet.
This leaves Sen. Susan Collins of Maine as the sole Republican left in New England. She is considered a targeted candidate in 2020. Collins was the deciding factor in the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Poliquin was a supporter of the Jobs and Tax Cuts Act. He also supported off shore drilling. He didn't care about Maine's needs. His district covers Bangor, Houlton, Estcourt Station, Fort Kent, Presque Isle, Lewiston and the town of Paris.
Golden won on Maine's rank-choice law. The rules mean that if the candidates failed to win over 50% of the vote, they go into a secondary tabulation vote.
It's the first time in the nation's history a federal race has been decided by ranked-choice voting.
Golden won 50.5% to Poliquin's 49.5%, Maine Secretary of State Matthew Dunlap told reporters Thursday afternoon. The flip means Democrats have picked up 33 House seats so far in 2018, with seven races still undecided. Democrats lead in five of those seven seats, all of which are Republican-held districts.
So far, the current balance of power in Washington come January will be 228 Democrats and 200 Republicans in the House.
The tabulation came hours after a judge denied Poliquin's request for a temporary restraining order. The Republican had called into question the constitutionality of the ranked-choice voting process, which Maine's voters approved in a 2016 referendum and used for the first time this year.
In Maine's system, voters rank their choices from first to last. If no candidate gets more than 50% of the first-place votes, then candidates are eliminated one by one -- making the second-place choices of voters who back little-known third-party or independent candidates crucial.
Poliquin narrowly led Golden, 46.2% to 45.6%, after first-place votes were counted. But more than 8% of Maine's voters backed one of the two independent candidates in the race, Tiffany Bond and Will Hoar.
Rep. Bruce Poliquin (R-ME) won't concede. He will spend his worth trying to prevent Golden from being seated.
Dunlap's office calculated the ranked-choice voting results Thursday afternoon, broadcasting their Microsoft Excel tabulation on Facebook Live.
Poliquin didn't concede after the results were announced, instead saying he will continue his legal challenge of the constitutionality of Maine's ranked-choice voting system.
"It is now officially clear I won the constitutional 'one-person, one-vote' first choice election on Election Day that has been used in Maine for more than one hundred years. We will proceed with our constitutional concerns about the rank vote algorithm," Poliquin said in a statement.
It seems like this would be the 35th Congressional district flipped. The Republicans pretty much lost New England. It leaves only Collins and she is vulnerable in 2020.
Once in awhile I often post some of the most dumbest and disgusting things people do to your food and property.
When you work in the service industry, you are held to a high standard. Most Americans deserve quality service. It's a thankless job and is stressful.
Americans often work long hours and usually get little to no benefits for it.
Of course, everyone has a bad day. I have a bad day. However, I won't jeopardize my job to spite a rude customer. It's just not smart to do so.
We depend on good service to grow. If we offer bad service, we lose profit.
A man who was caught on camera spitting on a pizza at a Detroit Tigers game was fired out the cannon. He was charged with misdemeanor malcontent and destruction of property.
The dummy was charged with misdemeanor malcontent. It was previously felonious assault with bodily fluids.
Jaylon Kerley was charged for an incident that happened in September. He was working for Comerica Park Stadium's food service provider when he was filmed on camera shocking a loogy into the crust of a customer's pizza.
The video went viral and it forced the pizza provider Detroit Sportservice was forced to shut down its vendor stations. They immediately fired Kerley out the cannon.
They had to sanitize all the equipment, throw away all the food, have the Wayne County board of health certify the facilities were up to code.
Of course, Detroit Sportservice had to press charges against Kerley. He was indicted on misdemeanor charges and plead guilty to the disgusting acts.
His lawyer Carla Marable told the junk food media that he was remorseful and sorry for the acts. Under his agreement to in-house, Kerley had to tested for communicable diseases. He will likely be forced to pay for the damaged products, the cleanup and the certification fees. He will no longer be allowed on Comerica Park property. He will likely be forced to share his story to the public as a part of his in-house.
Comerica Park is the official stadium for the Detroit Tigers.
The person who filmed the act was likely forced out as well. Quinelle May said that Kerley had a "bad day" and didn't give a fuck about his actions. He said he gotten away with before.
Again, you can't fix stupid.
The fool is now nationally disgraced. He will have trouble finding work and people for the time being will look upon him as the guy who gave that extra topping on a pizza.
Mitch McConnell with Mitt Romney, Josh Hawley, Kevin Cramer, Marsha Blackburn, Mike Braun and Rick Scott. The new Republican Senators are white. Rick Scott is in a political fight as his lead shrinks in Florida Senate race and recount.
I dedicate this post to this Troll who often post remarks on World News Today. Once again, thank you for reading this blog that deals with issues with our community, the government and the junk food media.
This blog is run and operated by African Americans. We talk about black issues. I often contribute to most of the postings here on World News Today. Mostly mainstream.
Notable issues covered here on World News Today include Donald J. Trump, Republicans in Congress, Fox News and white nationalism spawned by the Trump and that network. We cover also Barack Obama, Democrats, celebrities in the news and police shooting unarmed people of color.
The blog leans progressive. We are unapologetically honest.
We are tolerant of race, gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, economic and social standings.
We don't take advice from people who don't support our cause.
Again, we don't hold anything to your head telling you to read this blog. If you don't agree with the content, that's your problem. We are not going anywhere.
Hey, it's class photo time folks. The newly elected members of the House of Representatives will be the most diverse in American history. A record number of women and people of color have entered the House.
But without saying, there's a handful of Congressional races, two Senate races, a two governors races still in limbo. The House of Representatives had their freshman photo shoot and let's just say that the Democratic Party is looking a little more colorful.
The Democratic Party is the most diverse political party. There are more of people of color, women and religion diversity within the Democratic Party.
The new class. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Lucy McBath, Sharice Davids, Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Jahana Hayes, Antonio Delgado, Lauren Underwood, Xochitl Torres Small and Michael San Nicholas join the 116th Congress.
The party that nominated and elected twice the first Black man as their leader and our 44th president.
The Republicans nominated a coalition of white men and white women. They might have their first Korean American woman if the California count is in her favor. They elected failed political candidates like carpetbagger Mitt Romney to the Senate. The tan line jackass Kevin McCarthy and that racist pedophile Jim Jordan squabble over Minority Leadership.
McCarthy came out ahead. That old southern redneck bigot Mitch McConnell will remain Majority Leader. He will continue to ram through ethically prone nominees to the courts and Donald J. Trump's team. They have only Joni Ernst as their top leader in high position.
The Democrats are likely going to have Nancy Pelosi retain the Speaker role. Some Democrats are calling for younger leadership. Pelosi, Steny Hoyer and Jim Clyburn are established leaders and extremely polarizing.
The Democrats swept the Republicans out to sea. The Blue Wave crashed and it did damage to Trump's vulnerable majority.
Dan Crenshaw (with eye patch) and his fellow Republican class are white.
The Republicans managed to hang on to some of their congressional districts. One in particular is Dan Crenshaw, an Iraqi war veteran who had lost his eye in combat.
Crenshaw is a Republican who replaced Ted Poe, the Republican of Texas.
The far right didn't have no quarrels with Donald J. Trump when he insulted John McCain and Humayun Khan. They sure had a disgust towards entertainer Pete Davidson.
The SNL comedian was joking about Crenshaw and it sparked an uproar.
Many of the Republicans were screaming that Davidson has disrespected veterans and combat war heroes. Davidson's father was a victim of the September 11th attacks and is coping over the breakup with Ariana Grande.
Again, Trump done it and no outrage from the loyalists like Tucker Carlson, Jeanine Pirro, Laura Ingraham and Sean "Softball" Hannity.
Davidson did invite Crenshaw on SNL to formally apologize and take digs at him. Both said that political discourse in Washington, DC should be toned down.
It will fall on deaf ears.
Okay, let's be clear.
Republicans are still the party that is "ALL WHITE."
Yeah, they got Black Republicans in the current and future delegation. Tim Scott, Will Hurd and possibly Mia Love in the delegation. They have a handful of Hispanic and Asian American members within their ranks. Yet, the party is still catered to White men. The Republican Party is the party of white male privilege
Stormy Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti sent to the showers.
The lawyer for Stormy Daniels is having a terrible year. The lawyer, Michael Avenatti was booked into the Los Angeles County lockup after he came to his ex-wife's home. Allegedly, he served her a delicious helping of knuckle style chili.
A woman filed a complaint with the celebrity lawyer.
The law said that the alleged incident happened in an apartment in Century City, Los Angeles.
The unnamed woman was seen Wednesday running out an apartment and screaming into her cell phone while wearing sunglasses to conceal the face. She tasted the knuckle style chili with onions.
"I can't believe you did this to me," she said while yelling into a phone.
Security guards then let the woman back into the building.
Five minutes, Avenatti shows up and ran into the building chasing after her.
"She hit me first," Avenatti said in repeatedly.
"This is bullshit, this is fucking bullshit," he said angrily.
Avenatti then kicked the woman out of his apartment on Tuesday which was where the incident occurred.
The woman identified as Lisa Storie, is the ex-wife of the famed attorney who helped bring down Donald J. Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen. Storie denied she was the woman who tasted his cooking.
He was taken into custody and booked.
Avenatti denied the charges.
"I have never been physically abusive in my life nor was I last night," the lawyer said on Wednesday.
Avenatti had a string of bad luck since he took down Cohen.
He was representing Brett Kavanaugh accuser Julie Sweatnik, a woman who accused the Supreme Court Justice of tapping the drinks. That has gotten Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) angry. He recommended that Avenatti and Sweatnik face a criminal probe.
Avenatti who is exploring a 2020 bid for president made the remarks that the Democrats better elected a white man to take on Trump. That caused an uproar.
He also is representing a gay immigrant who confronted white extremist Tucker Carlson.
Carlson and Avenatti have an ongoing feud. Carlson calls him a "creepy porn lawyer" on his program.
I am certain this will get some attention.
Avenatti is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Did Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) give her opponent a reason to win?
Mike Espy is a long shot candidate for the U.S. Senate. He managed to take his underdog campaign to a run off against Republican senator Cindy Hyde-Smith of Mississippi.
Espy is African American and is one of the many candidates who didn't get the name recognition as Stacey Abrams and Andrew Gillum. However, this run-off coming up in late November could change it.
Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) is the replacement for Thad Cochran. The old man retired abruptly and the Mississippi governor Phil Bryant appointed her to fill the term.
The lawmaker is a staunch supporter of Donald J. Trump and Mississippi went to him by 20 points.
In a deep red state like Mississippi, could Espy win?
Well it's not going to be an easy challenge.
Could we put another Black lawmaker in the U.S. Senate?
Over the weekend, a video surfaced showing the senator making a remark to a constituent.
"If he invited me to a public hanging, I'd be on the front row"- Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith says in Tupelo, MS after Colin Hutchinson, cattle rancher, praises her.
In a video posted by the publisher of the Bayou Brief, a Louisiana blog, Hyde-Smith, who is white, embraced a supporter after he praised her and said before a cheering crowd, "If he invited me to a public hanging, I'd be on the front row."
Hyde-Smith is now coming under fire from her Democratic challenger in the upcoming Nov. 27 runoff, Mike Espy, and the greater African-American community for evoking language reminiscent of lynchings that scar Mississippi's history.
The publisher of the Bayou Brief, who identified the Hyde-Smyth supporter as Colin Hutchinson, a cattle rancher, said the video was from a Nov. 2 event in Tupelo, in the northeastern corner of the state. The video has over 3 million views on Twitter.
Hyde-Smith sought to clarify her remarks in a statement issued Sunday.
"In a comment on Nov. 2, I referred to accepting an invitation to a speaking engagement," she said in the statement. "In referencing the one who invited me, I used an exaggerated expression of regard, and any attempt to turn this into a negative connotation is ridiculous."
During a speaking engagement in Jackson on Monday, Hyde-Smith repeatedly refused to answer reporters' questions about the comment, according to ABC News' affiliate WAPT.
The Democrats are now pouring money into the race. Hopefully, Espy could pull an upset.
It's going to be hard. And in a few weeks, we'll see if one of these contenders will be seated in the 116th Congress.
Jon Tester secures a third term as U.S. Senator of Montana.
The Blue Wave crashed and it wiped Republicans out of the House of Representatives. The Senate not so much. However, it made the Republican even more nervous. The results didn't net 55 senators.
It gave Republicans approximately 51 seats and Democrats 48 with one in dispute. Given the way this happened, Republicans are in danger of losing the Senate majority in 2020. Donald J. Trump has a 75% chance of winning reelection.
The Republicans only caught Indiana, Missouri and North Dakota.
The results in Florida are still in question.
Arizona went to Kyrsten Sinema.
Nevada went to Jacky Rosen.
Jon Tester will continue to be Montana's Democratic senator. He eeked out a victory against a formidable Republican. His opponent called to congratulate him. Tester, Debbie Stabanow, Sherrod Brown, Bob Casey, Jr. and Tammy Baldwin won reelection in states Trump carried in 2016.
Montana, we won this doggone thing. And we won because of you. Thank you for the honor of defending the Last Best Place. 🤙 #mtpol#mtsenpic.twitter.com/yAn6VMQ5M5
Tester was widely seen early in the cycle as a vulnerable Democrat due to the fact Trump won the state by 20 points just two years ago. But Tester's unique brand as a farmer from Big Sandy and personal connection to the state provided a contrast to Republican Matt Rosendale, whose ties to the state were constantly in question.
Tester, like other Democrats running in red states, routinely pledged throughout the campaign to work with Trump when needed, even running TV ads touting his work with Trump.
"Washington is a mess but that is not stopping me from getting bills signed into law by President Trump," Tester said in his first campaign ad.
Matt Rosendale didn't get enough support from Trump and the folks of Fox News.
That relationship with Trump frayed, though, after Tester led the charge against Ronny L. Jackson, the former White House physician who Trump picked to lead the Department of Veterans Affairs. Tester, the top Democrat on the Senate committee that oversaw Jackson's confirmation, accused Jackson of handing out prescriptions "like candy" on foreign trips, accusations that eventually sunk his nomination.
The process irked Trump, and the President traveled to the state four times this campaign season to rally against Tester and tout Rosendale. During the events, Trump particularly hammered the Democrats' handling of the Jackson confirmation.
"I can never forget what Jon Tester did to a man that's of the highest quality," Trump said in October. "What (Tester) did was unfair, what he did was vicious, what he did was ... almost, almost, if this is believable, worse."
Tester attacked Rosendale as an out-of-state developer by highlighting his ties to Maryland. Those attacks were helped by Rosendale's competitive and negative primary, which provided the Tester campaign with plenty to use against the Republican. Tester closed the campaign by attacking Rosendale as "all hat, not cattle."
Police were called on a person of color for putting her feet on a chair at the University of Texas San Antonio.
Another incident in the United States where a white person called the law on a person of color. Damn, I wished Beto O'Rourke would have won the state of Texas.
This incident happened at the University of Texas San Antonio.
A white professor called campus police on a young Black woman for putting her feet on a chair in her classroom. According to the professor she was being uncivil.
The woman who went to social media to thank her fellow classmates. The person who filmed the encounter is named Apurva Rawal.
The incident happened on Monday and it has went viral.
So this happened today in class, a girl had her feet up and the professor called the police after calling our class uncivil 😬 pic.twitter.com/spq0ShXiFU
This professor stopped class entirely and stepped out to call the police just because one student had her feet up on a seat in front of her. Mind you she wasn't talking or interrupting lecture
As upset as I am that my professor decided to throw a temper tantrum the lecture before an exam and cancel class, I'm even more outraged that she would decide to single out and humiliate a student just to flex her authority in a destructive manner
I chose to attend this university because of it's welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, and today's events genuinely make me concerned for not only my fellow students, but any future roadrunners that may choose to attend this institution in the future
The woman who was removed responded and thanked him for the video.
This is me in Anita Moss’ 2053 Bio classroom. Upon entering class I was told I needed to leave or would be escorted out by officers, I never disobeyed the student code of conduct. Not once. A police report is being filed atm, this is just the beginning. Thanks for your support! https://t.co/YUZGmwgFa7
Now the UTSA community is discussing how to remedy the controversy. The professor has been named as Anita Moss.
Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University of Texas at San Antonio responded to the tweet saying she and Interim College of Sciences Dean Howard Grimes are aware of the video and are currently investigating the incident.
The incident has the Road Runner community talking.
"COS Interim Dean Howard Grimes and I both are aware of the video that was taken in a biology classroom earlier today. Creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning is our priority, so we too are concerned and will respond accordingly when we learn more," she tweeted.
UTSA President Taylor Eighmy also released a statement saying:
"Dear Roadrunners,
Today we had an incident where one of our African American students was escorted from a biology class by members of UTSA’s police department at the request of a faculty member.
While the facts aren’t fully known regarding today’s incident, our Office of Equal Opportunity Services is already conducting an investigation into possible discrimination. In addition, an inquiry regarding the academic management of the classroom is being conducted by Interim Dean of the College of Sciences Howard Grimes.
Beyond this particular incident, I am very much aware that the circumstance represents another example of the work we need to do as an institution around issues of inclusivity and supporting our students of color.
This concerns me greatly, and it’s incumbent upon us as an institution to face this head-on. It’s something that we need to address immediately as a university community. I look forward to the arrival of Dr. Myron Anderson, our new Vice President for Inclusive Excellence, to assist us with developing a strategy to address these systemic issues.
I welcome your concerns being shared directly with me and my office by emailing taylor.eighmy@utsa.edu.
I promise to begin this process immediately – it will take time, but has my full commitment.
With appreciation,
Taylor Eighmy"
So some are calling into question about the video saying they didn't show the whole encounter. Some believe the professor isn't getting a fair shake.
Regardless of the situation, we are had enough of white people calling the law on people of color for the most trivial issues. We have to do something better.
Given that we live in polarizing times with people like Ted Cruz and Donald J. Trump.
The Trumpy Bear is a favorite among Trump supporters.
Again, don't feed the trolls.
In the words of Michelle Obama, "When they go low, we go higher!"
But in my own words, "We ain't holding a gun to your head telling you to read our blog! Why you keep punishing yourself?"
Once again, thank you on behalf of me (Blue Light Buzz) and S.B. for reading World News Today. Without your support, we wouldn't be doing this.
I am not going to address the guy by name. All I am going to say in the response to the troll is, "thank you!"
I strongly disagree with your comments. I am not wasting time to respond other than what you're seeing here. If I waste time responding to trolls, it will get me no where.
I'm not Abagond.
I am not banning you from World News Today. However, I invite you to join through Google Plus to keep up on what we post. Whether you agree with it or not, we're not going to stop what we're doing.
I don't worship anything.
If there was a god, why are the people in West Bank and Gaza Strip suffering?
If Michelle Obama is a race traitor, what is Melania Trump?
We don't need links to websites. We got all we need in the web crawler to the right of you.
Here's what the troll posted on a previous post. Grab a magnifying glass and read what the troll said.

For over 10 years, S.B. created World News Today (formerly Journal de la Reyna).
I joined in 2010 and contributed to most of the postings. I left my previous blogs and stayed only focused on this blog. So far, we're doing just fine.
I am not planning on going anywhere. I am grateful to S.B. and will continue to help make her blog grow and succeed. Whether we gain support or criticism, we appreciate the good readers who view our blog.
THIS IS AN AFRICAN AMERICAN ISSUES BLOG. AS EXPECTED, WE WILL EXPECT COMMENTS FROM TROLLS. ON SOME OCCASIONS, I MAY POST SOME STORIES ABOUT CELEBRITIES WHO MADE IMPACTS ON BLACK CULTURE.
Back in August, I said I would respond to the critics in one single posting. Instead of flooding comment sections with retorts, I just rather post a response through the blog.
I'll just be blunt.
We are not going to change the minds of these trolls. It's a waste of time and patience.
I just remove the comments and move on. I don't have to offer them any response other than what they see here.
Again, no one has pointed a gun to your head telling you to read anything posted on this blog or any blog that is associated to me, S.B. or any contributors here.
We don't mind you responding. However, we do control what we see and what is posted so it's pretty much a waste of time to post something if you don't agree with it. We're just going to remove it.
So to those who are reading on World News Today: Thank you again for your support.
Without you, we wouldn't be doing this. So if you feel the need to respond to our postings, be our guest. We are here to respond to you.
I'm going to let your own words be the response to why it's important to not feed the trolls.
I dont troll you because i am conservative i troll you because you are a lying asshole that slandered me and then banned me on your other blog. https://aislec.wordpress.com/2017/06/27/abagond-i-am-banning-resw-and-nomad/ why dont ban me from this one too?

We all have lives outside the blog. Why don't you move past our blog and find a blog that supports your views?
Democratic lawmaker Kyrsten Sinema wins the U.S. Senate race in Arizona. It spoils Republicans plans.
Huh?
Did you hear, that a Democrat won the state of Arizona?
NO.
Damn, Kyrsten Sinema won the spot vacated by Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ).
I'm going to say that again....Damn, the first openly bisexual woman to represent the state of Arizona.
Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) beats Rep. Martha McSally (R-AZ) in one of the most bitterly fought contests in the country. The Republicans managed to capture Missouri, Indiana and North Dakota.
The state of Montana and Florida are still in question.
The race between Sinema and McSally was one of the most closely watched in the nation. Sinema was declared the winner Monday as her lead grew insurmountable during Arizona's lengthy vote-count.
Sinema is a former liberal activist who became a centrist member of Congress. Her win follows years of Democratic shutouts at the statewide level in Arizona and shows that the longtime Republican bastion is becoming a swing state.
McSally hammered Sinema over her former liberal stances and claimed she was pretending to be a centrist.
Sinema criticized McSally's vote to repeal the Affordable Care Act and kept her distance from national Democrats.
Martha McSally is defeated. Her seat went to Ann Kirkpatrick and the senate race went to Kyrsten Sinema.
McSally had the allies of Donald J. Trump, Mitt Romney, James O'Keefe, Sean "Softball" Hannity and Breitbart. They were trying to paint Sinema as a "George Soros, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer" clone. They were trying to use her past statements to tar her as a "terrorist sympathizer."
The Republican base was fighting within its ranks. McSally beat out Kelli Ward and Joe Arpaio. The two were polarizing Republicans. The two were more popular among the white extremist wing of the Republican Party. McSally's support of stripping children from immigrants hurt her. Also she didn't offer any policies other than the usual word vomit.
I also believe Trump's attacks on the late John McCain made independents support Sinema.
McSally was an unpopular candidate from the jump.
Congratulations to Sen-Elect Kyrsten Sinema. You're a beautiful and powerful voice for women.
Hopefully we can get to work to move the country forward.
Voice actress Tara Strong was booted out by a Trump supporting Uber driver.
Reminder, actors vote too.
While most in California are affected by the wildfires, our imbecile in chief makes an inappropriate tweet about the wildfires.
There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!
The California wildfires are affecting the Northern town of Paradise and Los Angeles metro area.
Many celebrities are seeing their homes burnt to the ground.
Then last week an Uber driver shocked actresses Tara Strong and Rena Sofer. The two were hailing a ride to the polls and were talking about the Midterms. The driver overheard the conversation and started betrayed the women.
Tara is best known for playing in Nickelodeon's Rugrats as Dil Pickles, Fairly Odd Parents as Timmy Turner, DC's Teen Titans Go!, Raven, Batman's Batgirl and Harley Quinn, Cartoon Network's original Powerpuff Girls as Bubbles, and many other characters in animation.
She even recorded the interaction or Twitter.
Hey @realDonaldTrump 1 of your crazy sycophant followers, an @Uber driver almost killed @RenaSofer & when he found out we’re Democrats. He shouted your vile hatred that #Soros paid for the #caravan & that #transgender is a mental disorder, his neighbor @benshapiro told him so too
We didn’t start this! We never even brought up @realDonaldTrump at all. His first gripe w us was hearing us say this is the most imp election of our time n he said he’s heard that every election. Then he asked why and preceded to yell at us! We kept asking him to stop! @Uberhttps://t.co/NCkgEiKvgi
Thread 2 here’s the thing. He is an immigrant who showed up at the border in the 80’s and then applied for immigration status. Today he would have been kicked out WITHOUT his children! And we are demons?? @Uber is this ok with you?? Your driver was out of line!!
Tara Strong is a harsh critic of Donald J. Trump. Strong was critical of the imbecile's policies like stripping children from immigrant parents.
Hollywood, Broadway and Silicon Valley distance themselves from Trump and Republicans.
I follow actress Tara Strong. She is one of the most notable voice actresses in the country. She is a Canadian born actress who rose to stardom in the late 1980s and early 1990s when she was just a young girl.
She is one of the most prominent voices in American/Canadian animation.
Here's Tara with fellow voice actress and bestie E.G. Daily.
Comic book legend and entertainer Stan Lee passed away today at the age of 95.
The legendary co-founder of Marvel Comics passed away in Los Angeles. He created the most iconic Marvel heroes. Like Spider-Man, Captain America, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Black Panther, the Fantastic Four, and S.H.I.E.L.D.
Lee, who began in 1939 created memorable names in the comic book industry. He died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after a brief illness.
Lee's family confirmed his death.
Lee had a legal woes during his final years. His wife Joan had passed away in 2017. He sued executives of POW! Entertainment a company he created in 2001 to develop film, TV and video game properties for $1 billion allegeding fraud, then abruptly dropping the suit weeks later. He also sued his ex-business manager and filed for a restraining order against a man who had been handling his business affairs. There were reports from the Los Angeles Police Department that Lee was being abused by his caretakers.
Lee along with Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko made Marvel Comic the number one publisher of comic books and entertainment.
The Walt Disney Company bought Marvel Entertainment in 2009. The merger was beneficial to the companies. With that merger, Marvel released three hugely successful movies.
He was born Stanley Martin Lieber in Manhattan, New York. He grew up poor. His father was a Romanian immigrant and a laborer. He was lover of adventure books and Errol Flynn movies, Lee graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School, joined the WPA Federal Theatre Project, where he appeared in a few stage shows, and wrote obituaries.
Spider-Man was modeled through Stan Lee.
In 1939, Lee got a job as a gofer for $8 a week at Marvel predecessor Timely Comics. Two years later, for Kirby and Joe Simon's Captain America No. 3, he wrote a two-page story titled "The Traitor's Revenge!" that was used as text filler to qualify the company for the inexpensive magazine mailing rate. He used the pen name Stan Lee.
He was named interim editor at 19 by publisher Martin Goodman when the previous editor quit. In 1942, he enlisted in the Army and served in the Signal Corps, where he wrote manuals and training films with a group that included Oscar-winner Frank Capra, Pulitzer-winner William Saroyan and Theodor Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss). After the war, he returned to the publisher and served as the editor for decades.
Following DC Comics' lead with the Justice League, Lee and Kirby in November 1961 launched their own superhero team, the Fantastic Four, for the newly renamed Marvel Comics, and Hulk, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Daredevil and X-Men soon followed. The Avengers launched as its own title in September 1963.
Perhaps not surprisingly, Manhattan's high-literary culture vultures did not bestow its approval on how Lee was making a living. People would “avoid me like I had the plague. … Today, it's so different,” he once told The Washington Post.
Not everyone felt the same way, though. Lee recalled once being visiting in his New York office by Federico Fellini, who wanted to talk about nothing but Spider-Man.
In 1972, Lee was named publisher and relinquished the Marvel editorial reins to spend all his time promoting the company. He moved to Los Angeles in 1980 to set up an animation studio and to build relationships in Hollywood. Lee purchased a home overlooking the Sunset Strip that was once owned by Jack Benny's announcer, Don Wilson.
Survivors include his daughter and younger brother Larry Lieber, a writer and artist for Marvel. Another daughter, Jan, died in infancy. His wife, Joan, was a hat model whom he married in 1947.
Like Alfred Hitchcock before him, the never-bashful Lee appeared in cameos in the Marvel movies, shown avoiding falling concrete, watering his lawn, delivering the mail, crashing a wedding, playing a security guard, etc.
In Spider-Man 3 (2007), he chats with Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker as they stop on a Times Square street to read news that the web-slinger will soon receive the key to the city. “You know," he says, "I guess one person can make a difference … 'nuff said.”
