They will recreate an iconic episode of The Facts of Life.

Jimmy Kimmel continues another tradition. He and Norman Lear release The Facts of Life and Diff'rent Strokes. ABC premieres the live taping of the two iconic NBC shows.

The specials are co-produced Norman Lear's Act III Communications and Kimmel's Kimmelot and Will Ferrell's Gary Sanchez Production in association with Sony Pictures Television Studios.

Diff'rent Strokes - is an American television sitcom that aired on NBC and later ABC from 1975 until 1985. It featured Gary Coleman, Conrad Bain, Dana Plato, Charlotte Rae and Todd Bridges. The show would also bring in Mary Jo Catlett, Danny Cooksey, Dixie Carter and Mary Ann Mobley.

The show dealt with issues in the country. It featured Arnold and Willis Jackson being adopted by their mother's boss Philip Drummond. She worked for Drummond and asked as her dying wish is to give her sons a family. Drummond and his daughter Kimberly took them in. Their housekeeper Mrs. Garrett would mentor the wise-cracking Arnold, girl crazy Willis and level headed Kimberly before she headed to other venues. The series had some "very special episodes" that dealt with controversial issues involving guns, racism, child sexual abuse, pedophilia, eating disorders and many topics. The show was well loved by Ronald and Nancy Reagan. On one episode involving the "Just Say No" campaign, Nancy appeared on one episode.

The Facts of Life - is an American television sitcom that NBC from 1979 until 1988. It was one of the longest running television shows in the 1980s. The series featured Edna Garrett (who previously worked for Mr. Philip Drummond) on Diff'rent Strokes. She became the housemother and dietitian of the fictional Eastland School, an all girls boarding school.

The series followed the similar formula of Diff'rent Strokes. 

The 90-minute special will feature Kevin Hart, Jennifer Aniston, Damon Wayans, Sr., John Lithgow, Kathryn Hahn, Gabrielle Union, Allison Tolman, Ann Dowd and others.

The show was a tie-in from Diff'rent Strokes and became a pilot for the show. 

Diff'rent Strokes became an iconic television sitcom.

The show starred Lisa Whelchel. Kim Fields, Mindy Cohn, Felice Schachter, Julie Piekarski, Molly Ringwald and Julie Ann Haddock. The series would soon add Nancy McKeon who would become the main fixture throughout the series. The show also add Roger Perry, John Lawlor and Jenny O'Hara.

In the series run it mainly was Whelchel, Fields, Cohen, McKeon and Rae. But in the later seasons, the show added George Clooney for two seasons. After season seven, Charlotte Rae was considering moving on so they hired on Cloris Leachman as Mrs. Garrett's sister, Beverly Ann Stickle. Leachman would continue the show from season seven until its final season.

NBC was hoping to continue the show but Nancy McKeon and Mindy Cohen had decided to not continue which ended the series.

But throughout its run the show the girls of Eastland would lose their virginity, travel to Europe, have feuds over boys, rape and drug abuse.

There will be cameo appearances from Lisa Whelchel, Kim Fields, Mindy Cohen and Todd Bridges.
