The results are in and it appears we will have a Representative-elect for the 11th Congressional District!

Councilwoman Shontel M. Brown defeats Nina Turner in one of the most costliest special election races in Ohio's history. The councilwoman pulled a huge upset against Turner. She will be the nominee for the general election and will likely be the Representative-elect.

Since the 11th Congressional District is considered a Democratic stronghold, the Republican will not be a formable threat to the Democratic nominee.

The 11th Congressional District includes parts of Cuyahoga County and Summit County. It was once represented by Marcia Fudge who went to become President Joe Biden's Housing and Urban Development Secretary.

The district is predominately a Black district with areas like Cleveland, East Cleveland, Akron, Stow, Shaker Heights, Beachwood, Warrensville Heights, Brooklyn and Cleveland Heights.

The race is very competitive and it appears that one candidate managed to pull it off.

This race was nationalized by the name recognition of former Ohio state senator Nina Turner. She enter the race an early favorite and was raising huge funds. She literally had a 3:1 ratio on television, radio and internet. Turner was backed by Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA), Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA), Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA), Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and numerous progressive groups.

The junk food media was literally bringing up Turner's name far more than her opponents.

Her opponent, Shontel Brown is a local Cuyahoga County chairwoman and Democratic Party leader.

Brown isn't verified on Twitter and she doesn't have the name recognition. Matter of fact, she has no profile on Wikipedia. However, her underdog campaign has accelerated with the endorsements of Hillary Clinton and Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC).

This is end of the Bernie Movement as we speak.

The race then was led into accusations that Brown was corrupt and even leftists tabloids, The Intercept and Newsweek led allegations that Brown was being investigated by Ohio State Auditor.

Turner even went as far as to doing the jailhouse door closing to paint Brown as a criminal.

It appears that the results of this election will finally put a rest to which way the Democratic Party is moving.

It's noted that Joe Biden won the district over Sanders.

President Joe Biden did not endorse either candidate in this race.
