Wondering how an unrepentant dirtbag managed to get a light tap?
Thank his good buddy, Donald J. Trump and Attorney General William Barr.
Stone who had contact with Wikileaks founder Julian Assange lied to the Congress about his interactions. Stone is known for providing Republicans dirt on opponents will be eligible for a presidential pardon.
Trump blasted Stone's treatment by the criminal justice system, the Justice Department and the jury forewoman in the trial on Thursday.
He made an appearance at a fundraiser in Las Vegas. He said that Stone has a "very good chance of exoneration."
His remarks, part of a speech to the organization Hope for Prisoners, came hours after U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson sent the agitator to federal time out.
The conviction is controversial. The U.S. Attorneys handling the matter resigned when Barr protested the recommended 7 to 9 year bid. They felt that Trump and Barr are giving a slap on the wrist to an unrepentant dirtbag.
Trump said that Stone was not involved in his 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. He said that he did a little consulting work.
This conviction will only fuel speculation that Trump is trying to conceal evidence. He also reward individuals who support him.
Mind you that a handful of federal felons were pardoned by Trump this month. He commuted the sentence of former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich. The controversial former governor and reality television agitator was sent to federal time out for 14 years for abuse of power and lying to federal investigators over the matter of him trying to bribe top donors for the U.S. Senate seat of Barack Obama.
Trump's pardoning of white criminals also brings up the scrutiny of how his political allies would be willing to sacrifice their freedoms in order to protect that idiot.
Trump promised to drain the swamp. Guess what's he's turning it into luxury condos and slapping his name on it.
