CBS This Morning With Gayle King!

To keep Gayle, they got rid of Norah and John.
Shocker....

CBS News anchors and hosts of CBS This Morning is out.

Norah O'Donnell, the co-host of the morning show and political anchor John Dickerson are out. This comes a fresh month after their fourth anchor Bianna Golodryga was forced out. Golodryga was there for a mere six months before she was forced off the show. Now she is a news contributor to CNN.

Dickerson was appointed to CBS This Morning after the scandal that rocked the news room.

Charlie Rose, the former co-host was fired out the cannon after numerous women accused him of sexual abuse. Rose who started and executive produced CBS This Morning was promptly fired out the cannon and also had his PBS program cancelled as well.

The move is huge. Because folks love Charlie Rose and it lead to another shocking moment in the junk food media.

After they fired Charlie Rose from the show, CBS This Morning had struggled behind GMA and Today.

CBS News announced that they resigned Gayle King to hosting/moderating duties and promoted Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil to the co-host the show.

This was a move sought by Susan Zirinsky, the new president at CBS News.

Zirinsky will place Dickerson as a contributor to CBS's 60 Minutes. Dickerson gave up his role on GOP Sundays to host this show. He was the host of Face The Nation, one of the longest political news shows in the nation. He was replaced by Margret Brennan.

O'Donnell who has a contract up in 2020 could be renewed as the host of the CBS Evening News.

The program is currently hosted by former CBS The Morning host Jeff Glor. He's been in the position for nearly two years now.

The shocking decision to replace Norah O'Donnell kind of makes you wonder how much CBS paid to keep Gayle King on?

King who is Oprah Winfrey's best friend and a contributor to OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network) had folks from ABC News and CNN wooing her. King is also a host on Oprah Radio on SiriusXM.
CBS News reshuffles This Morning. The shakeup has Biannca, John and Norah on the sidelines.
King was tempted to leave CBS.

The morning news shake ups happen.

CBS always struggled with the jaugernauts. NBC'sToday (with Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, Craig Melvin and Janna Bush Hager) and ABC's GMA (with George Stephanopoulos, Robin Roberts and Michael Strahan) have dominated the mornings for the last two years.

Not to down on CBS but they did win with Gayle King's interview with disgraced R&B/pop singer Robert Sylvester Kelly.

R. Kelly who is facing 10 counts of sexual assault is struggling. He has no record label. He's lost his home. He owes child support and facing lawsuits from former girlfriends. He is pretty much on the washed up entertainer level.

King was the first person to interview R. Kelly after he was released from Cook County lockup.

Kelly is going to use the scandals plaguing Kim Foxx and Michael Avenatti as a way to be acquitted.
