R. Lee Ermey Passed Away!

Iconic actor R. Lee Ermey Passed away.

You know the Stanley Kubrick movie Full Metal Jacket. It was a cult classic about two privates name Joker and Pyle. They are enlisting into Parris Island Marine base where they are berated by Gunnery Sergeant Hartman.

That iconic role was played by R. Lee Ermey and the famed actor passed away on Sunday at the age of 74 of pneumonia.

He was a former Marine Gunnery Sergeant who actually was a drill instructor.

He used his drill instructor role to berate Joker and Pyle who interrupted his introduction to the weaklings of Parris Island.

Ermey was also in movies like the Toy Story franchise, Mississippi Burning and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

He hosted on The History Channel, the show Mail Call. He also had Lock n' Loaded and also GunnyTime on the Outdoor Channel.

He was on television shows like House, Spongebob Squarepants, and Rocket Power.

Ermey was considered a tough guy on the big screen.

He was considered a conservative in politics. He often was very critical of Barack Obama and fully supported Donald J. Trump.

He claims his politics for him blackball'd in Hollywood.

Semper fi, Gunny.
