The Ohio mother who was convicted of murdering her child in 2005. Paris Tilley was a newborn and didn't deserve that fate.
Arnold lived in Dayton, Ohio at the former Parkside Homes, a low income subsidy housing project. The prosecutors accused Arnold of getting into a heated argument with her boyfriend at the time,
Arnold had been convicted of abduction in 2000 and forgery in 2002.
On August 30, 2005, there was an argument over Paris' paternity. They got in a fight and her anger turned into violence, after which 28-day-old Paris was placed in a microwave for two minutes. She then removed the baby and put her on the table. Paris had died within seconds due to the heat. Arnold then brought Paris to Dayton Children's.
Medical experts said the baby died after her temperature reached 107–108 °F (41.7–42.2 °C).
She had no external burns but did suffer high-heat internal injuries.
Finding Paris cold and stiff with burn marks on her body the next day, her parents took her to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Arnold told investigators that she had been intoxicated. John Paul Rion, the attorney who represented Arnold at her first trial, said she was intoxicated to the point of blacking out when the child died.

Through three trials, Arnold was convicted and sentenced to LIFE without graduation in the iron college. She is located at the Dayton Correctional not too far from her old home.
The NAACP and activists are now begging outgoing governor Mike DeWine to commute her sentence.
“China Arnold’s case has had an extraordinary procedural history. Her first trial ended in a mistrial. Her second conviction was subsequently overturned by the Second District Court of Appeals,” Derrick Foward, president of the Dayton branch of NAACP, said.
Arnold has repeatedly claimed her innocence.
