Elitist Rick Scott Wants To Halt Congressional Pay! Moron Knows He Constitutionally Protected!

I have a net worth of $500 million. But hey, as senator I think we shouldn't be paid in a government shutdown.

Entering the fifth week.

On November 7th, we will mark history. If these morons can't pass a law to fund the U.S. government, we will make it to the longest days in U.S. history of a government shutdown.

Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) is a former governor and health care executive. He has a net worth of $509 million. And of all the dumbest things he would do as a sitting incumbent senator, he would introduce a bill trying to suspend congressional members pay.

The bill received limited bipartisan support, and garnered 48 supporters, although it was seen as unlikely to be voted on due to the division of Congress.

Hey genius, the U.S. Constitution (if y'all still support it) requires members of the House and Senate to be paid regardless.

The 27th Amendment is a significant hurdle because it states that changes to congressional pay cannot take effect until after the next election.

Why don't Congress pass a damn non controversial yearly budget and have that old fart, President Donald J. Trump sign it into law?

Every time, Republicans continue to play games. Every fucking president since Bill Clinton, Republicans have threatened to shutdown the government.

Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Trump dealt with these distractions.

And out of nowhere, a Republican who is millionaire or damn near billionaire will do some "charity" to tell the public they are actually on the side of the American people.

When gun violence once again affects the president, members of Congress or a state official, we revert back to blaming people instead of passing legislation to stop a man-made crisis happening in real time.

Aided with Sen. Jon Husted (R-OH), the senator introduces "No Budget, No Pay" Act which is a proposed law to suspend congressional pay until both the House and Senate pass a budget and all necessary appropriations bills. The legislation was first proposed in 2019 and has been re-introduced, most recently in 2025. It would prevent lawmakers from receiving their salaries until the appropriations process is complete, and it also prohibits retroactive pay for the time the government was not funded.

Motherfucker, you are an elite millionaire. You can survive a government shutdown.

Husted has a net worth of $2 to $5 million. He can survive a government shutdown.

Husted is a former lieutenant government, state representative and activist.

Sen. Ashley Moody (R-FL) has a net worth of $5 million. She is a former Florida attorney general and trial judge.

Husted and Moody are running for a full term in 2026. They are favored to win.

Hey, we rich. Rick Scott has over half a billion in net worth. Ashley Moody has $5 million. Floriduh.

White privilege at its worst.

Rick Scott, you're cap.

For a guy who says the federal government is killing the American dream, I realize that the status quo is what keeps folks like him in power.

You want to suspend pay for every member. Dude, you realize that many members from both sides of the aisle are tired of the leadership. Republicans and Democrats alike are grumbling about how each side is not willing to compromise. They are tried of showboating from folks like you.

Scott is a Zionist and warmonger. He is openly calling for regime change. He posted on his official senate website that Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro's days are numbered.

The U.S. is threatening a military invasion of Venezuela on baseless claims of drug trafficking. Trump and Israel want to seize its natural resources and establish a far right opposition leader to its helm. That Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Machado openly calls for the removal of Maduro. She will offer safe haven to Benjamin Netanyahu and his Israeli cohorts if she is established as leader.

In what sense does he have to threaten a leader of a country?

At age 72 (turning 73 in December), Scott better be worrying about his health and well being. Florida certainly elected a moron to be their senator.
