Johnny Hardwick Passed Away!

The King of the Hill actor Johnny Hardwick died in Austin.

If you're a fan of the Fox animated sitcom, The King of the Hill, you're in luck.

There is a reboot and it is tentatively scheduled for 2025.

However, one voice actor will not be involved. He had passed away. He was the memorable voice of Dale Gribble, the conspiracy loving, gun toting, animal stuffing pest exterminator who hung out in the alley with Hank Hill, Bill Dauterive and [J.D.] Boomhauer.

Johnny Hardwick, the longtime voice of Dale Gribble was found dead in his Austin, Texas home. Sources in law enforcement confirmed to TMZ they were called to Hardwick’s Texas home on August 8 for a welfare check when they discovered his body. Reports state Hardwick was pronounced dead at the scene and no foul play is suspected, although the cause of his death remains a mystery. Hardwick began his career by performing stand-up comedy in Texas in 1990, subsequently getting him his first stand-up appearance on The Jon Stewart Show a few years later.

Hardwick was an American voice actor, comedian, writer, producer and YouTuber. He was best known as the voice of Dale Gribble in the animated American television show King of the Hill. He served as staff writer, story editor, and producer for the show as well. He had four Prime Time Emmy nominations and in 1999 he won an Emmy Award for his work as a producer on King of the Hill.

Reboot in 2025.

Gribble was unapologetic in his conspiracy theories. He is married to local weather woman and former model Nancy.

Unbeknownst to him, their son Joseph is the results of a longtime affair Nancy had with a healing shaman and licensed therapist John Redcorn.

Redcorn strongly disapproves of Joseph being raise to be like Dale. However, he does show some respect towards Gribble in the end after Nancy ended their affair.
