Pramila Jayapal Faces Heat From Pro-Israeli Dems!

Women of color. Rashida Tlaib, Pramila Jayapal and Ilhan Omar criticize the Israeli government and often face backlash from their own party.

The internal fights between the progressive and moderate Democrats continue.

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Rep. Shontel Brown (D-OH), Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA), Rep. Katherine Clark (D-MA), Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-CA) and other Democrats turn a blind eye to the unlawful actions of Israel.

Anytime a person of color, a Muslim or a progressive criticizes Israel, it earns outrage from not only the far right but the Democratic Party itself. Republicans often use Israel in their Christian fascist ideology. Democrats use Israel as a wedge to keep Jewish support.

Israel has been criticized for issues regarding the conduct of its armed forces in the Arab–Israeli conflict, establishment and expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in the Palestinian territories, its treatment of Palestinians, and the blockade of the Gaza Strip, with its impact on the economy of the Palestinian territories, the country's nuclear weapons program, and its targeted killings program. Other criticized long-standing issues include: the refusal to allow post-war Palestinian refugees to return to their homes, and the prolonged occupation of territories gained in war and the construction of settlements therein. Israel's status as a representative democracy has also been questioned because Israeli residents of the occupied territories are allowed to vote in Israel's elections while Palestinian residents are not.

Criticisms of Israeli policies come from several groups: primarily from activists, within Israel and worldwide, the United Nations and other non-governmental organizations including European churches, and mass media. Media bias is often claimed by both sides of the debate. Since 2003, the UN has issued 232 resolutions with respect to Israel, 40% of all resolutions issued by the UN over the period and more than six times that of the second placed country, Sudan.

Countercriticisms include the assertion that some critics and their criticisms are aimed at delegitimizing Israel's right to exist, which has led some to debate over the point at which criticism of Israel crosses the line into antisemitism. The term "new anti-Semitism" refers to criticisms deemed to have crossed this threshold.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Rep. Andre Carson (R-IN) opposes funding to Israel's military defense.

Omar and Tlaib are the most vocal. They call Israel an apartheid state due to its actions in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, the Golan Heights and East Jerusalem. They were banned from entry into Israel. Tlaib has family living in the West Bank.

The Republicans are openly hostile to Muslim Americans. Democrats are "allies" only when it comes to Muslims staying silent on Israel. They can criticize China, Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Somalia, Algeria and Yemen.

Only Israel is what drives their outrage.

Jayapal said Israel is a racist country. That is a fact. But it was quickly shot down by top Dem leadership and they ordered her to walk back her remarks.

She made them at the Netroots Nation political action conference.

Israel is not a Jewish state. It is a unitary state with a republican form of government in which the political power is vested in and entrusted to the parliament with confidence by its electorate.

They have elected leaders and a functioning government. If it was a Jewish state, then it would be fascism. Because it would ban other religions and punish those who stand up to the authority.

Israel has been under fire for committing war crimes in the West Bank, Golan Heights, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip. The country has continued building settlements in the West Bank despite the warnings it would flare tension.

Those living in the West Bank and Gaza Strip are being stripped of resources. Those living in the West Bank are banned from traveling on roads built to the settlements.

For the people of the Gaza Strip, they have no resources or the military to defend itself.

Since 2005, Israel has a blockade for aid to the Gaza Strip.

Those who tried to bring aid into the Gaza Strip are stopped or shot.

The Palestinians have no military. Israel does and it has proven to be extremely brutal in its attacks.

Israel is a neo-fascist country. They are masquerading as a legitimate democracy when its prime minister and his far right coalition are trying to eliminate the federal courts, outlaw integration, outlaw non white Jews, non white immigrants, make it a religious theocracy and brutally eliminate the other. They are trying to destroy democracy and wipe out the Palestinians who live in Gaza Strip, West Bank, East Jerusalem and Golan Heights.

The U.S. funds its defense operations and they use it in a brutal almost criminal assault on those living in Palestine. The Palestinians have no military equipment or the technology. Whenever Israel strikes, they hit residential and urban centers. They claim they are killing "militants" and those who were injured are used as shields. Israel claims the world hates them and they must defend themselves.

The Republicans and some Democrats have this notion that criticism of the state of Israel is equal to anti-Semitism. They seriously call for boycotts and censorship of those who dare speak against the inhumane crimes done by the Israeli government.
