Missing White Woman Syndrome: Suspect Caught In Eliza Fletcher Abduction!

More developments in missing white jogger abduction.

Memphis Police announced an arrest in the abduction of jogger. Cue the noise....

The suspect is a Black man.

Okay, the latest details in the latest media coverage of another missing white woman. It seems like it will be exploited by the far right in their desperate attempt to scapegoat Democrats, Black men and race into their culture wars.

Mind you has anyone seen Memphis missing Black teen, Miracle Cooper?

Republicans will waste no time trying to use this disappearance to blame Democratic mayors, progressive district attorneys and Black Lives Matter.

Eliza Fletcher is a Memphis area resident who went jogging around 4am. Cameras capture her being abducted and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Memphis Police have a 38 year old man in custody.

The suspect has been charged with especially aggravated kidnapping and tampering with evidence in Fletcher's disappearance. A second person was also arrested, but police said that suspect was "currently not believed to be connected" to Fletcher's abduction early Friday.

"This remains to be an active and ongoing investigation," police said on Twitter.

The law said Fletcher, 34, was forced into a vehicle while she was jogging near the University of Memphis campus. She was jogging when a man approached her and forced her into a dark-colored GMC Terrain after a brief struggle. Fletcher was reported missing when she did not return home.

Fletcher is the granddaughter of the late Joseph "Joe" Orgill III, a Memphis hardware businessman and philanthropist, according to news outlets.

Police said Fletcher is still missing.

"MPD Investigators and officers, along with our local and federal partners, continue searching for Mrs. Fletcher," the department said.

Fletcher is White, 5 feet 6 inches tall, with brown hair and green eyes, police said. She weighs 137 pounds.

The teacher’s damaged phone was found near the scene where she is believed to have been abducted, CrimeStoppers Executive Director Buddy Chapman said, according to a news release obtained by CNN affiliate WHBQ.

Junk food media coverage has increased.

The family of the mother of two is offering a $50,000 reward through CrimeStoppers for information leading to an arrest in the case, WHBQ reported.

“We look forward to Eliza’s safe return and hope that this award will help police capture those who committed this crime,” her family said in a statement shared by Chapman.

In a post on Twitter, St. Mary’s Episcopal School said Fletcher is a junior kindergarten teacher.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said in a tweet it is assisting Memphis police in the investigation.

Again, we here at Journal de la Reyna want to see all missing persons found safely, regardless of color. However, we want the same amount of time spent to finding women of color, children, men and other women who never get the attention.

It's a real coined term to media coverage of missing white women who get nonstop coverage. You know more about this person than the thousands of people missing everyday.

Missing white woman syndrome has led to a number of tough on crime measures, mainly on the right, that were named for white women who disappeared and were subsequently found harmed. In addition to race and class, factors such as supposed attractiveness, body size and youthfulness function as unfair criteria in the determination of newsworthiness in coverage of missing women. News coverage of missing black women were more likely to focus on the victim's problems, such as abusive boyfriends or a troubled past, while coverage of white women often tend to focus on their roles as mothers or daughters.

Black women and indigenous women are missing far more and yet they never get the attention that white women get. Think about Gabby Petito and the amount of attention she and her killer got.

If the suspect is Black, Muslim or immigrant, the white extremists would often troll Black blogs and social media to throw inappropriate discussions about how white women should avoid relationships with people of color. They would use racial slurs, coded language and concern trolling as an excuse to justify their hatred.

How many women of color are killed by white men?

Do white men often troll social media with "thoughts and prayers" to women of color?

Easy answer......!
