Fox Calls Puerto Rico A Dirty......!

The U.S. still helping Puerto Rico after Hurricane Fiona.

Puerto Rico is a Caribbean island with a majority Spanish speaking population and a self-autonomous U.S. territory. It is a commonwealth and unincorporated territory.

While many look at Puerto Rico as a country, the U.S. officially regard it as a part of its sovereignty. It has a governor, a U.S. Representative who is a resident commissioner and a territorial government.

Those living on the island are U.S. citizens. However they have limited rights due to the Insular Act which forbids them from voting in the presidential elections.

Hurricane Fiona hit the island and damaged the grid. The island was declare a state of emergency by President Joe Biden and FEMA is there trying to restore the power grid.

Now as Hurricane Ian is ravaging through Florida, the controversial governor Karen DeSantis has pledged that state and federal assistance is coming. He had talked to the president but never credited him for the rapid response in preparation of the devastating cyclone.
Dingbat.

Fox which is grooming the governor to run for president in 2024. They happened to run live coverage and its host made a freudian slip when discussing Ian destroying neighboring Cuba's power grid and Puerto Rico's power grid by Fiona.

And it gives you — you know, you feel terrible for people in Puerto Rico who were just hit, in Cuba who were just hit. Thank God we have better infrastructure in our country. We’ve put a lot of investment into making sure that we’re ready for these things. But it’s an act of nature, and you never know exactly what to expect.

Puerto Ricans believe the federal government will ignore them for Florida. They have not forgotten the failures of leadership when Hurricane Maria hit the island in 2017.

Washed Up 45 was angered by criticism, he threatened to pull funding. He wanted to allocate money to purchasing self-autonomous Greenland.
