Conservative Outage Over Lizzo Playing On James Madison's Crystal Flute!

Lizzo plays and the right rages.

Racism, sexism and fat shaming never takes a break. Conservatives are outraged over entertainer Lizzo playing on a 200-year old flute once owned by James Madison, the 4th President of the United States. Known as the shortest president married to the taller Dolley Madison, the former president was a musician.

He owned a crystal flute and the Library of Congress has it. They kept the former president's flute in safe storage. 

The Library of Congress granted Lizzo access to the flute and apparently the far right went bonkers over it.

If all we had seen was the clip of Lizzo playing the flute in the halls of the Library of Congress while wearing a semi-modest outfit, everyone would have shrugged. But that's not the clip everyone championed as groundbreaking: it was the clip where she bragged about twerking.

The entertainer made history and they're upset over it. For the far right, a Black woman playing a flute of an American president is disrespectful to the founding fathers.

It just noise.

The very same folks who want to carry firearms into businesses to trigger outrage are upset over a pop singer playing a damn flute.

Lizzo is richer than the noise. She is more popular than the noise. And she pretty much doesn't give a fuck about what the noise says. She is well deserving of the honor to play a part of history. It is a good day for Lizzo and the far right can stay mad all day long.
