Snootie Wild Passed Away!

Rapper Snootie Wild killed in senseless murder.

Rapper Snootie Wild died Saturday at a hospital in Houston after police said he was found shot in the neck while next to an SUV in a ditch.

Snootie Wild was a member signed to Yo Gotti's Collective Music Group and Epic Records.

Police said a man identified as LePreston Porter, also known by his stage name Snootie Wild, was found shot last Friday morning along England Street near Alice.

First responders performed CPR on Porter at the scene before he was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition. On Sunday, police said the 36-year-old had died from his injuries.

In an update, HPD said a woman reported it was her vehicle that ended up in the ditch on Alice Street. According to HPD, she told officers people stopped to assist her and that's when Porter showed up and pointed a gun at her.

The woman told officers she ran away and then heard a gunshot, HPD said. According to investigators, a neighbor caught the entire incident on camera.

Snootie Wild was expected to be married to his longtime girlfriend.

Porter's fiancé, Krystal Meredith, spoke to the local junk food media on Sunday and also confirmed he was the one shot at the scene.

Meredith said she met the rapper from Memphis in New Orleans. They had moved to Houston and been living in the city for three years. Meredith told us Porter did not have any enemies so she has no idea who would have shot him.

She said they have a 3-year-old together, but the rapper leaves behind a total of five children.

Porter had performed alongside other artists like Yo Gotti.

Who are the real victims of gun violence?
The children
The parents
The community
All of the above

Every community in the United States will eventually have a legacy. A legacy of tragedy. Gun violence and COVID-19 will affect your town, your family and your life. So I don't want to hear that bullshit about how gun reform is taking away your rights to own firearms.

I don't want to hear that protesting against police killing people of color is hate on cops in general. I don't want to hear talk about the coronavirus being a myth. When you hear folks say "gun rights," what they really mean is that its white privilege.

I don't want to hear folks say masks and vaccine mandates impede their freedoms. It prevents a deadly outbreak from spreading. If you want to die from the coronavirus, that's on you.

I don't want to hear the shit about guns saving lives. Cause a bullet does not have eyes and it's always likely gonna hit a target. These folks seem to not get it. These incidents are a tragic part of American history.

The website Officer Down is a memorial to those who were killed in the line of duty. Those who don't get their names mentioned in the junk food media. Also the website the National Gun Violence Memorial also keeps record of the many individuals killed by gun violence
