LAPD Screwed Up!

A 14-year old girl from Chile was killed by the LAPD.

Gun violence never takes a break. It's just another day in the country where the police shoot unarmed citizens and the police use immunity to get away for murder.

Gun violence is the number one threat in the United States.

I stress the video footage is graphic.

The incident that got the Los Angeles Police Department in some deep shit. An officer reckless shooting killed a 14-year old girl as well as the suspect only armed with a bicycle lock. The suspect was apparently mentally ill and the 14-year old girl identified as Valentina Orellana-Peralta was shot by a stray bullet.

Her family migrated from Chile and wanted their daughter to have the best life. She was in the dressing room with her mother when the LAPD entered the Burlington store in North Hollywood.

The dirty cop now identified fired five rounds and three of them ricocheted into the dressing room.

The LAPD released the body camera footage and surveillance video.

The department released edited footage of the suspect and the call that lead them to the store.

The cop who shot the teenager was identified.
The man who appeared to be mentally ill attacked women with a bicycle lock. He brutally attacked on shopper and blooded her up. As he was trying to flee the scene, it appears that Officer William Jones shot five rounds at the suspects. Two ended up going into the dressing room killing the 14-year old girl.

He has been on the LAPD for numerous years and was assigned to the North Hollywood district.

The suspect did not have a firearm. It appears that the suspect was not given demands to drop his item.

California governor Gavin Newsom passed a law requiring that officers use every opportunity to disarm a violent suspect without force. Jones did not follow that conduct procedure.

The incident happened in December.

The LAPD apologized for the whole ordeal but it appears that's not enough. The state prosecutor is looking into the matter to determine whether the cop used proper tactics to end the matter. If he failed, he could be charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment. One for shooting the girl and two for shooting a suspect without giving commands to drop his items.

The LAPD said that Jones was a model officer before the shooting. They are trying to pepper up his life as a good cop who did good things for low income and underprivilege youth in the Los Angeles area.

The moment the cop shot at the suspect and the bullets ricocheted into a dressing room killing Valentina Orellana-Peralta

Ben Crump, who is representing the family of Valentina Orellana-Peralta dismissed the "good cop made a mistake." He basically said it was reckless and it was murder.

Crump is often vilified by many for being in the limelight for almost every high profile killing of people of color. He rose to prominence during the Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown shootings.

The incident has gotten national attention. Many believe that cops have too much power when they're using tactical weapons. Others believe that cops make mistakes, that should result in jail or loss of good officers.

Regardless of the matter, two people are dead. Families are grieving. Accidents happen. But accountability does matter. Everyone should be held accountable for accidents.
