Justice for Ahmaud Arbery.

The three men who were involved in the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery were found guilty. 

The three white men who chased down Arbery, a Black man in Brunswick, Georgia. Of the nine charges, the person who shot Arbery was found guilty. Of the nine charges, the two other men were not guilty of six and eight of those charges. But since they were involved in the false detainment and criminal attempt, they still are likely eligible for LIFE in the iron college. Even though they did not pull the trigger, they're just as guilty.

President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Gov. Karen Kemp, Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA), Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and the Georgia U.S. Representatives were notified.

The incident that happened in February 2020 where a man who was jogging near a vacant home and these three men accused Arbery of robbery. So they gave chase. One of the suspects filmed the fatal encounter.

The defendants claimed they were attempting a "citizen's arrest" over concerns about theft in their neighborhood. The shooter on the stand claimed he fired his gun as an act of self-defense, after Arbery allegedly struck him during their encounter.

The shooting incident happened around February 2020 but co-exists around the results of the white Kenosha shooter who was found not guilty of murder. The Kenosha shooter shows no remorse after shooting two men dead and injuring one. He is likely to face civil lawsuits for his actions.

Prosecutors also noted that there was no evidence of Arbery stealing anything from the vacant construction site in the neighborhood. While security camera footage showed Arbery and other people, including a white couple inside the site, the owner Larry English testified that he had never reported anything stolen from the site.

Prosecutor: Did Ahmaud Arbery reach into his pockets?

The defense attorney alleged that Arbery was responsible for his own death because he was not "submitting" to the defendants during the chase.

The prosecution also said that the so-called "citizen's arrest" law has to be held on the property of these defendants. The property was not theirs. It was someone else's property. They pursued Arbery based on presumptions of his race.

"They made their decision to attack Ahmaud Arbery in their driveways, because he was a Black man running down the street," said state prosecutor Linda Dunikoski. 

The controversial defense lawyers said that the defendants felt intimidated by Black pastors and criticized the fact that Arbery's feets didn't have dirt in the toenails.

Is America's justice system fair?

No

The defendants will have a right to appeal their sentence but it's going to be extremely difficult given that the murder charges. The charges each range for 25 to LIFE. 

Rev. Al Sharpton, Ben Crump, William Barber and Jesse Jackson had appeared at the Brunswick rally are there with the Abrery's mother celebrating the decision.
